Found this one at 10:11Hrs the log book is full and needs replacing. The fig in question is also cordoned off I think it may be due to meet a chainsaw.

Arrived to find a double line of red flags around the tree, but no 'do not enter' sign, so we went for it. After circling the tree a few times, freakyfeek and I found the cache, well hidden. TNLN, TFTC Astroboy and Astrogirl.

#11 of 12 finds on my first day in Brisbane; second last trip for the year. I found this one at 1840. It was an easy find, because it was partly exposed. I covered it better before I left. It never ceases to amaze me why people leave bloomin' great stickers on micro log sheets. There are several of them in this one, and as a result, the log sheets are now full before its time. Logs are being written on the backs of the sheets. There! I feel much better now! Smile I made no exchange. Thanks to astroboy & astrogirl for the cache. Cheers, dak.

A lovely tree, I am so glad that it has not been knocked down. Almost 12 years ago we had our wedding reception at the golf course just up the road. Thanks for bringing us here.

29-Sep-07
If you look hard you can see a fence pailing in the tree. TFTC.

I normally hate finding small caches in amongst trees but this one was found quite easily.

How come this has not got houses all over it too. Great tree.

Our 400th cache find. We started the year of strongly, but have slowly dropped back a little in our weekly finds. Still enjoying it all.

A fantastic tree in the middle of a park, a good find. Keight really wanted the giraffe, but had left her swag bag in the car, so popped $2 in to swap

23-Aug-07
Had a little climb in the tree after finding the cache.

Yayy!! Number 20! Another milestone met. Another spacious park near our home - was good to see a dad kicking a ball with his kids. Mental note... TFTC

Found successfully after a short hunt. Apparently this tree is being fought over!

Thanks

We didn't need to read the clue to know where this cache would be hidden as it was about the only thing in the park. Generally. I hate it when they use these type of trees to hide nanos because there are just too many places to look. Luckily. it was a small cache so we found this one quickly,

Nice at quiet at the fig but it looks like it could be popular some nights. Luck spot in the first place I looked. It is now covered over a little better. TFTC Big Grin

Many places to hide so did take some time to find it. First time I went was at night without success so had to go back in the day to get the cigar

24-Mar-07
Walked up to the tree, had a bit of a look and there was the cache. Signed the log, left a mini superball and took a keyring. Sat and watched the world go by for a while as it's a nice place to do that. Unfortunately, no one was doing dance routines today, so I left to find another cache.

A great big tree, with many hidey holes. Forutnately, we found this one quite quickly. We left a wrist band and took a sticker. Hope the tree stays!

Thanks for the cache!

04-Mar-07

This took me a whole lot longer than it should have.
Maybe ...just maybe I was distracted by the group of
young ladies working out a dance routine nearby. Errrr back to the cache...a nice easy find in the end.

One can only hope that such a grand tree can survive.

Thanks Smile

I was just about to give up. these trees can have so many places to hide.
Cheers from Posspet Boys

Someone had been mowing the lawn and cleaning up only hours before I visited so there was grass clippings and other rubbish covering the search area. Took a while to rake it all around until I discovered the right hide.

From the look of the building on the other side of the hill the area might be developed soon. I hope the tree stays.

A very nice and quick little cache. It was lightly raining when we pulled up and we enjoyed our stroll along to the cache.

It was the littlest HawMorFord, Eloise, that plucked this one from the hidey hole.

Thanks to astroboy & astrogirl for the cache.

Another nice easy find.

I wonder how long this little spot will last before someone decides to bulldoze it?

We could see where we needed to be from 50m away and headed straight for it. We did a little dance around GZ and soon had the cache in hand.

After replacing the cache the kids had a bit of a climb before we returned to the car. TFTC.

The sun had just risen and the grass still dewey as I quietly approached the Fig on Scrub. I managed to sneak up on the elves who live here and I glimpsed them quickly diving into the hollows of the tree Big Grin
Found the cache after a couple of circuits of the feature (figuratively speaking) at GZ Smile
