Disabled for the time being after the last log. Damaging the surroundings isn't what should be happening here.
We spent ages hunting around for this one without success. A very good call to disable it for the time being. We were quite concerned about the damage being caused by cache hunting here. It's a lovely walk and we hope there will be a suitable replacement in the future.
Couldn't find that one. Quite confused about the logs of others if the hint is helpful or not or which part of it is nit really true. We stayed on the track the whole time because we didn't want to harm the surroundings which already look not good anymore: moss ripped apart and the path is widened. Quite sad about that happening at a place where protected glowworms have their home...
like others, no show, tried all the little nooks and crannies but no joy, enjoyed the walk to GZ on we go only another 2 million to search for Thanks for bringing me here
Yeeeeaahhh, no humps to be found, and checking the obvious nooks and crannies didn't result in anything either.
The travelling fox is sad =u,u=

We couldn't find this one. There were two tree matching the coordinates and the hint. Four people searching for 15 minutes - no luck.
No luck with this one. Did not spend too much time here as I did not want to cause any damage to this great area. Pity though logging a DNF.
Very interesting walk and great cache location.
It took us a while to locate the little devil, but we got there in the end - not where we thought it would be.
Took a Pathtag to move along.

Let the Adventure beginn. Calli87 goes to New Zealand and Australia!!!
**DAY 13**
Today we went with our campercan "Gandalf" to Franz Josef Clacier and Peter Pools to watch the nice lake and the Clacier. Arrived we enjoyed the great view of the mountain and the water. The visit had already paid off. After we had arrived and eaten, I looked briefly at the map and saw this Tradi on the map. So i decide to went to them. After a short search I could find them. At GT it was calm and a short affair to found the Geocache Afterwards we went with the CM towards the campsite in Franz Josef.
Nach dem Signieren des Logbuches habe ich wieder alles ordentlich zusammengepackt und in sein Versteck gelegt.
Vielen Dank sagt Calli87.

Missed this one when we were staying at Fox Glacier but had to come back today for a helicopter flight and picked it up then. Looks like the glowworms would have been good here too. TFTC
Log is wet. There was also a Geocoin not logged in the Geocache. Left for someone who could carry it further than us.
Also for prospective Geocachers searching for this container, the hint isn't accurate. Don't read into this, and be mindful as coordinates are scattered. Otherwise, TFTC.

I have been in New Zealand alone 25 years ago.

today was another nice day for our holiday trip in new zealand were we of course also found some caches along the way from Wanaka to Fox Glacier.
This is one of them. thank you for maintaining this cache.
unluckily we did this as a night cache. but because of the dark we could not find it.
Luckily we saw lot's of glow worms now for free. that helped a lot with the disappointment.

Walking from the village to the glacier through this beautiful rainforest the cache could be found. Took a while.. The hint was somewhat misleading.. when not regarding it I found the cache pretty soon.
Tried to find but failed. The rain on the West coast is extraordinary. Heading over Wanaka for dry weather. TFTC
TFTC although the log is too wet to write on. Beautiful place to go in the daylight. Looking forward to seeing it at night. www.thesoloavocado.com (Australia)
Its a 3 week expedition, with The Seagnoid and Zara, round the South Island. Rakiura Walkway, my objective, is bagged, so its homeward bound the long way round. Its day 20 of our epic journey - Fox Glacier to Hokitika today.
Lovely bush walk with some amazing trees and I LOVE trees. This little bugger was being very elusive and took ages to find but finally snagged and tagged it. There is an amazing tree structure just past the cache with a huge root system going 2 meters above the ground. Loving it here. Cheers

Went for this one in the dark, lots of glowworms in the forest.
Was hard to look for it as there was lots of muggles looking at the glowworms tonight.
Finally found it

Yesterday evening we walked along the path to see the lightnigs in the dark, a nice view. Today we also did see the beautiful rainforest. After some searching we did found the cache at 11.47u.

Found this one after some searching with Boris. We did not know what a bump was but we think we know now. What a difference compared to the night when the glowing are there.

Spent about 15 minutes looking at every 'hump' and hollow to no avail. Nice walk though so will give a favourite anyway

Needed 10 minutes searching, hint was not really clear, the cache is not really opposite the big tree but yes, it is on the opposite site of the road from the big tree; the logbook is quite wet as the plastic bag is torn and is now holding the water inside.
On the positive side: the short walk into the beautiful rain forest is really worthwhile, the big tree itself is amazing; we will give this cache a favorite for the great location it has been placed in.
Our thanks to **BK&J** for showing us this place, that we would just have past by car if there wouldn't have been this cache.

At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.

During our New Zealand Round Trip I was looking for some Geochache. We took a short walk into the beautiful rain forest. A nice area. After searching it on wrong side I could found this one also.

Hideeho Thanks for the cache:) Greetings from the USA! Touring New Zealand and stopping for cache. This is a very pretty trail , it had been raining heavily just before but now every thing was just dripping. The hint had us a little confused, what is a hump? But eventually found it.
This was hard to find. Looked 45 minutes and found just as we were leaving. Here from Baton Rouge on an OAT trip.
This track is amazing. The kids had a ball but it took Mr TwoHarpe to find the goods. Love the cache wordplay
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Tried twice at night with no luck. We did see a lot of glow worms on the second night. Finally found it in the daytime. Thanks for placing the cache.
Beautiful spot to have a walk and enjoy our ciabatta and Brie breakfast. Took us a minute or two to find. Such a lovely location thanks for the cache!
We walked out to watch glow worms with our O-A-T group. Then walked all the way back to our hotel to see if there was a cache close by. Mini Giggles was right where we came from so out we went for our first night-time find - spooky man. TFTNTC

After signing into our motel for the night we noticed a couple of nearby caches and thought 'hey why not' so off we went, one of the caches was a multi and the other one was this which is where we decided to go first and after making our way to gz we made a thorough search of the area which soon brought us the rich reward of yet another smiley face, Julie wasn't very impressed though when two great big spiders came running out of the hiding place making her back away pretty sharpish (she really doesn't like spiders) a little while later and we'd finished the administration before retuning everything as found, all is well here, tftc . Greetings from Bury in Lancashire, England.

Staying at the nearby motel for a night so ran out and found this one in the evening. Crazy place, thought I was in a rainforest! Got bit confused with the clue before reading it again and having a more accurate search! TFTC!
A lovely walk and cache to mark an awesome day around the glacier. After a lunchtime helicopter ride and walk on the ice we wanted to leave our "mark" in Fox Glacier. We were lucky to spot a few silk worms in the daytime (need to look for the "fishing lines") then onto the amazing tree for the find. A quick feel around in between muggles - helped that someone had left a handy pointing stick near the location that only a cacher would notice! Cheers from Australia and TFTC!
Went into the walk yesterday evening to see the glowworms. It was great, but too dark and too many people to log the cache. So I came back today on the way to the glacier. Great forest, great tree. Tftc
A short walk through this temperate rainforest, after a long journey from Christchurch, et voilá: the cache was in our hands
On tour in NZ! To safe space and time we logged as cg3 (caching girls 3)!

A nice night walk with The-Shredder to see the glow worms. Saw heaps of them. TFTC Skyryser
Found the tree and GC location but no cache. The hump location had been roughed up quite a bit, moss had been torn and broken away. Great walk and beautiful area but no smilely
Found after a brief search while in town on holiday from the US. I was using the offline map feature, and my gps was off a bit, but eventually found it. TFTC, all in good shape.
Once in a lifetime we wanted to travel to the other side of the world. This year we took a chance and made a 4 weeks trip to New Zealand! Although caching was not the main purpose, we had our GPS prepared and when we were close to a cache, we of course looked for it and logged it. So we found several dozens of "kiwi-caches" and want to thank all the owners!!
Today we were close to the Fox Glacier (not the village, but the glacier). On our way back we stopped at the village and looked for this cache. The forrest is really cool, but we couldn't find the cache. We looked - as written in the listing - from the path, but could not find the box. To go "into the bushes" was not possible due to the lots of muggles around and - to be honest - we don't like to dig into vegetation and disturb or even destroy it. Thats not worth it. Perhaps we come back...

Even though I wasn't lucky finding the cache the search took me to a really beautiful spot.
for a time we didn`t find anything, than we read the hint again, so at the end we were lucky finding
After visiting Fox Glacier we stopped at this cache. We searched quite a long time, the read the hint carefully and found the cache immidiately.
The path is really great. I can only repeat the Dutch team's words: "Wat een prachtig wandelpad!"
Thanks for showing this wonderful location and t4tc.

Sixth find of the day!
We were out today, finding caches around the South Island. This was the sixth cache we found.
We found the best point of entry from where we were and went off to GZ. After parking the car nearby, we headed to GZ. A lovely walk, good choice of location. A quick search resulted in a find with spot on coordinates. I stealthily retrieved the cache, signed the log book and replaced in as I found it.
Thanks for the nice easy cache.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Coordinates were perfect and cache and contents were in good condition.
Well done.

Heading back home to New Plymouth geocaching all the way... Although it's a 1200 km trip by road in three days, so there won't be too much time for caching! Limiting myself to scenic views, old school caches or high FP caches, this one scored on two of three. If I'd seen the two previous logs I wouldn't have bothered as there was little time or inclination to bugger around in the rain, but I wasted a good half hour in a fruitless search.
Glow worms and a cache. Enjoyable stroll. Thanks for placing this cache.
No problem to find the cache as the GPS and hint did help.
We finally could see a fish swimming. We have looked in so many places and here only one seen.
Thanks

Found it today with the mini me. Nice cache taking us along a nice walking trail with some amazing bush surrounding us. Log book a little damp as the bag inside the box containing the log book has a failed seal. But still dry enough to write in TFTC!
Tftc! Beautiful forest by day and by night! Worth a look when stopping by. No trackables in cache, but I visited the two I am carrying. Cache is a teeny bit soggy from recent rain.

Holidays in New Zealand! We have been looking forward to them for years. We had lots of time to prepare ourselves for a great trip. As geocachers, we also picked out a number of great caches. Armed with a "to-do list" and accidental encounters we were lucky to log many caches. Thank you for placing them and keeping the game go on!
