has been just on a month since i posted a NM log and nothing has been done about it yet so am posting a NA log .
its definitely not there needs checkedby co but co obviously isnt interested otherwise he would have checked it by now after the string of dnfs. I will be posting a NA log in a week if no response to the NM.
The tennis court was more than obvious, taking up the whole space, but not sure where the cache is. The coords pointed to the corner or slightly beyond into a well fenced off private area. I checked the closest stay leg, could not see any other hint object nearby, so gave up eventually.
My second attempt at this one and still no find. I had a second pair of eyes this time and that didn't help either. I think this one may be gone and doesn't look like the owner is doing much about fixing them up as this is the 3rd from this owner that needs maintenance and have emailed but no reply
Couldn't find this one. Got to the tennis court but the second clue didn't become clear. Will have another try another day
didn't even attempt to remove the log cache needs some tlc working in the area today
What an interesting little spot! Victoriousone found it. Log quite damp and wet.
Nice evening for a bit of a drive. I can only imagine the town that used to be here. As was mentioned the cache was wet and the log was hard to sign.
An interesting spot. Enjoyed reading the information provided.
The cache was open, seems difficult to close and the contents wet and disintegrating.
TFTC and bringing me to this place. Lots to discover in Mid Canterbury

We are staying at Raikaia Gorge this week and it is a long drive to anywhere to find a cache. As we drive towards the site of the Cairn we see a family walking in the distance, and of course they stop for a play near GZ. So we park and inspect the Cairn . . . . then walk along to scope out the cache site . . . .and look at the remnants of the community facilities . . . . and cross the road to pat the miniature horses . . . .
Eventually the family move on and we can make the find.
Thanks for showing us this interesting spot and sharing a bit of your history.

Happy new year. Great wee spot. Bit damp but unsurprising given the rank we've had. TFTC.
Nice spot. GPS was a wee bit out with the trees but cachlette found pretty easily. TFTC.
Found fairly easily, but the logbook is nothing but a soggy lump of paper. Left a spare sheet in a snaplock bag, and put the jar in a bag as well. TFTC
We're not in caching mode but still picking them up when passing. This is an area unknown for us so just cruising. The cache container seems to have morphed from systema to glass jar. We tried drying the log best we could and managed to sign. TFTC
Quick find on our way back to chch after my girls cricket at Methven vs Ashburton. Had two people with us that never knew what geocaching was about (another two now more informed). As previous log said - log soaked, in fact tipped water our of container and tried to dry it. Signed my business card as a new log and left it in there but container needs to be replaced really as water will always get in, TFTC
Neat spot to be brought to thanks. PGS coords led me straight to the cache. But oh dear. Cache full of water and all sodden. needs a visit by the CO. No signing will happen here untill fixed.

Made the leap of faith and cache was soon in hand - lesson believe your GPS Thanks LGM
First find of an Easter weekend caching in the Methven area. The log book is wet but still signable. It may need sorting soonish. TFTC
Unfortunately the tennis courts were in use when we visited so unable to get to this cache this time.. will definitely be back though!
Nice quick find on a drive by. Interesting spot, thanks for the info. Also handy to find a drinking fountain on a hot day. A win, win, win find. TFTC.
Found at 8:50 AM on 27/11/2011.
Found on a caching & orienteering trip into Canterbury.

TFTC. Sports are still alive and well in the country. Nice to see the development of this area. Cache log damp, but still able to be used.
An interesting stop. I was impressed by the seating arrangement. Thanks for the cache
Almost ploughed straight past this one in the Mitzi but just managed to make Mr B stop so I could sign the log. TFTC.
Mr KE finally hit his straps! Also spotted one of those rare ornamental plows. TFTC
Something a little different, great history behind it. Beautiful sunny day in the country. TFTC.
Wonderful piece of history. I have a holiday place in a similar little village, where my great great grandparents were original settlers. Not much left there either, although the school and engineering shop only closed in the 90's. And they play tennis too TFTC
Determined to find this one so checked every leg in sight. LOL GPS co-ords well out but found it in the end.
We've been wondering, as we tour these sites of communities that no longer exist in the countryside, in 100 years time maybe no-one will live out in the country at all, the farms may be all run by remote control robots from a desk bound "farmer"???!!! The mind does boggles!! But who knows? Anyway - found cache easily, SL. TFTC.
Went out to replace / find the original, but the keen tennis palyers are a little close this late at night.... will revisit in the weekend.
We'd brought a Geocoin over from England that wanted to be dropped off here, but we were also unable to find this cache and it certainly looks like it has indeed gone missing. We got some photos of the coin at the cairn anyway and have left it for the owner to collect from another of their caches.

(560) I remember this cache also.. Jus forgot to log it on the day.. TFTC, SL.
It is difficult to imagine what a bussling place this area once was when you see how nature has just taken it all back as if the town never existed. Thanks for bringing us here.
Quick and easy find on the way back home. Hard to image that there was a village. TFTC
There were no Muggles around but couldn't hang around as there was a big dog from down the road on his way to see what I was doing and it didn't seem happy. TFTC
Makes me quite nostalgic. Used to teach in places like this and can't quite work out why the locals let these places go. Thank you.
Caching between Ashburton and Methven, found easily. The Stone Work looks great with nice seating.Picked up aTCoin.TFTC.
Looks like its the hub of activity. Pity the schoolopposite looks closed. Left the coin as I've had it before and took it for a very long detour. TFTC #1129
Wasn't sure about the location with it over the fence, but didn't want to leave empty handed. Easily found otherwise. TFTC.
The area not in use at the time we got there and a bit of head scratching was done by all till we extended the search a little. A find that was a little longer than was really needed. TFTC
Co-ords seemed to put GZ on private property but had a look anyway and came up with the cache.TFTC
