### **A TIMELY REMINDER** ###
### (CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED) ###
----------
Thank you for temporarily disabling this cache for maintenance - it is appreciated. However, I've noticed that it has been disabled for a while now . . . . . . . somewhat more than the few weeks suggested in the [**Guidelines,**](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#maint) so it's time for me to take some kind of action. I wish I didn't have to, but others are probably wanting to know what's going on with this cache.
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list.
- Repair and/or Replace your cache and whatever else is needed and then [**ENABLE**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) your cache listing. Don't forget to post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) if the cache is carrying a NM attribute. Then sit back and wait for the praise to roll in.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=56) it, so someone else can have the spot and to remove it from searches. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too please.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log explaining the situation **(within 14 days.)** Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, Archive the cache. Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then.
Please don't send me an email but instead follow the advice posted above.

I had had a really great day geocaching... deep in the heart of Cathedral State Park... chasing up a very "lonely" and "unloved" cache to bring up my 2,500th Find . True to the "highs" and "lows" of geocaching, I then followed up that really great success with a miserable failure in not being able to find a simple hide .
Hoping to reverse my fortunes, I stopped off for this cache as I drove out. Initially my GPS took me for a wander into the bush... into a place that didn't feel right. Checking the Hint I found that I was definitely in the wrong place... and as best I could tell, I had walked past the right while my GPS was telling I still had quite a way to go.
I dragged out my iPhone and checked this cache on that (fortunately I had downloaded the details)... and found about a 50 metre error between the two . Following my phone, I walked back and easily found this cache. After a re-start, my GPS was also now "talking sense"... so maybe my "miserable failure" wasn't all my fault... Such is the joy of geocaching!!!
So there have them... my thoughts on geocaching... and you got them cheap because the Pennies had all gone... probably a long time ago I guess. Also gone was the stamp which was rather annoying... but that's life.
Thanks anyway Clever Monkey for a Letterbox cache.

An easy find at the start of my hike up to Cathedral Peak. Aslo my first non-trad or non-multi cache. TFTC
Lol well we need to stealth to be real high for this one and when we done it plenty of muggles around at the time
No pennies or a stamp even anymore but still nice to find a non trad on the way to do some walking.
Nice spot...does it ever flood here?
Thanks Rallwrxwagon

What a lovely spot to stop and enjoy the beauty that is our back yard .. thank you for bringing us here
After a big day In Melbourne, decided, still some daylight left why not follow some satellites to some fun hidden in the bush . Off we ventured on the hunt for more smiles and to see some of our wonderful local country side . As we ventured to the GZ there was about 30 odd tents in at a camp site near buy stealth was required in obtaining the container, seeing all the tents and kids in the bush was just awesome thanks for the cache we had a blast here
Found it with Crank1, Everlasting and Whitepaws on our way home from Boonie Doon.

Off I go to Melbourne! Down from Canberra for a caching trip around the Mega!

Second day of the Mega, and today's plan is to work our way along the "top" side of the lake, picking caches and fishes and a CITO Event along the way. Snickersallan and Patrol14 remain with is.
Our last cache for the day, and a nice walk to boot!

We wanted to do as many cache types in a day so having seen this one had been replaced we went out of our way today to find this one, it was a short walk to GZ and we found the cache in no time at all, we were very pleased to find this one otherwise it would have meant a late night find in the city .
Thanks for the cache.
After agreeing to go to my first mega with Goose of Gooseandegg it was soon clear it was to be a big trip to the mainland from Tassie, after both our wives declined to join us for the trip we started our planning picking out a few caches that we should work on before we headed over Bass strait, puzzles and wherigos were where we needed to start.
Many many hours were spent on puzzles and getting ourselves to locations so we could work on a couple wherigos took its toll on our cars and in my case my body.
Three weeks before the Mega me and Mrs SSRat were out caching in the northwest of Tasmania, and I fell and broke some ribs so for a bit the Alex trip was in doubt, in the end the trip was on but tree climbs were out of the question.
In the end we had a great long weekend finding some great caches and filling in couple of missing dates for our calendar’s, thanks to all the CO's for putting and maintaining all the caches we found.

A beautiful location!
A wonderful day spent with GemmaSistema as we traveled from our homes to Kyneton before jumping in together to continue to Alexandra and the Mega event, a loooong day as we managed a huge collection of cache types, caught up with friends, explored an area I had not visited before and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I love seeing the flags popping up and getting random toots from fellow cachers passing by as you are knee deep in a bush.
Thanks to everyone for their contributions! Looking forward to the next one!

Trying to get 12 cache types in a day at the Mega with ZQX, TikvaNZ and Darkside Dan. Here's a penny - I'm thinkin' that it's a nice area for a cache. TFTC
Letterbox #10 - ten types in one day found - so off to Melbourne for 11 and 12 - tftc
A weekend away for the Alexandra Mega meant that we decided to have a shot at 12 types in one day.
This was type 10. A quick find. A shame we did not have time to head up the goat track. I’ll definitely be back one day. TNLN TFTC

Making our way to the airport following the mega event. Still some energy to grab a few more caches along the way! TFTC.
Found during our Weekend trip to The Alexandra Event MEGA.
The day was quite hot even with a short storm and shower thrown in and the caching was magnificent.
The standard of caches around this area is really really high.
Thank you for the placing of this cache.
This location is just beautiful, its been 16 years since I last visited and it still looks just as beautiful.

Arrived in Adelaide with JACS Team on Friday and met up with Ardom for a road trip to the Alexandra Mega with a stop at Bendigo. Spent yesterday caching a fish and today picking up bits and pieces.. We all had caches we wanted to grab for different reasons and this was one of them! Thanks for placing
Another cache in our quest for 12 different types in a day, it was a nice walk to GZ then a quick find. Thanks for the cache Rallywrxwagon tnln sl
Working on ten cache types in one day so stainless steel rat and I were pleased to see this had been replaced as we were counting on it. Worst case we would have done one back in Melbourne like we did for the virtual. This is a lovely spot and like so much of this area, I want to come back and explore it properly. In reality that means when I retire in 20+ years - if the Government lets me.
Anyway I can't think about that now, it's too depressing lol. I enjoyed the moment and that's all I can do right now. Thanks clever monkey for bringing us to a lovely location.

Today I teamed up with RoddyC and Snickersallan again to finish the Trout Geoart and any caches that are along the way.
They were all found thankfully, some easy, some took some time to locate but all in good condition.
Last one for today, it has been an epic day with finding 8 different cache types in a day, 30 in total plus finishing a few Lab Caches.
Cache found quickly, SL then returned cache to its hide. What a beautiful place, would love to go camping here sometime.

Headed down to Victoria with steeba and Hoojar to be part of the 3rd Victorian Mega celebrations in Alexandra. Our 3-day leave pass ensured we’d be constantly on the go! From 300 finds in the Mt Disappointment area to 10 different cache types there was never a dull moment.
After our busy day of yesterday it didn't take us long to be back in the stride. Today was all about different cache types. This saw us travelling all over Victoria, from a webcam at Mt Buller to a virtual in the CBD we certainly clocked up the kilometres, but we achieved our goal of 10 types in a day.
Following the lab caches had us in the area where we were able to grab another type of hide
Thanks to all the cache owners who contributed to a great 3 days caching with my fellow caching buddies. My apologies about the template style log, it certainly doesn’t detract from the thrill of the ‘find”.

I wasn't sure if I could attend Mega this year with lots of other things happening in life but a plan was hatched close to the date with becca85 to leave the kids at home and do a girls day trip. My day started with leaving home not too long after 6am and meeting Bec en route. From here we travelled stopping for only one cache before hitting the "mega zone".
We caught up with people at all the events, and at caches which is always nice as you get to meet so many different folk from all around Australia. We found some really awesome gadgets caches (which we are bad at), some amazing scenery which I really want to bring the family back to, and we laughed all day long.
I had a fabulous day clocking up plenty of finds. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to the day. The cache owners, organisers, volunteers, and my geo friends who helped me with puzzle solving before the event! Thanks a million - love the geocaching community. See you all in 2018!

This was the second letter box that we were able to log for the day. The hint was very accurate and so the find was made quickly and easily, even though muggles were pulling down camp and heading home after the weekend. Many thanks go to Rallywrxwagon for placing this cache in such a lovely place to stay.
Day 3 of my exciting road trip from Brisbane to the Alexandra Mega via Adelaide with friends ESCR and Ardom. Today saw us clean up the remaining gadget and lab caches, attend a couple of events before heading back into Melbourne for our flight collecting odds and sods on the way.
Found whilst in Alexandra for the Mega event! - Always enjoy coming to new cache locations and discovering the place! - Thanks again RWRXW
On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

The idea of going down to Victoria and to the Alexandra Mega was original floated by Steeba. Normally Megas are not something that I am super keen to attend, but the opportunity of also collect some serious numbers on the Mount Disappointment caching trail, and finding some Lab Caches really helped to sweetened the deal. I was in, along with my long time caching buddies Steeba and The Rats.
We left Wollongong at 8pm on Thursday evening, returning at 5pm on Sunday, 2,500km and over 400 cache finds later. With less than a handful of DNFs, a wonderful result!
Highlights of the trip included:
- Finding over 330 caches on Friday, the entire Mount Disappointment trail;
- Finding ten unique cache types on Saturday, which included a drive to both Mount Buller for a Web Cam, and then back for a late night Melbourne CBD visit for a Virtual;
- Meeting up with a few local Wollongong cachers in Alexandra;
- Setting two new personal records, for my most cache finds and cache types in a day;
- The always good company and banter of Steeba and The Rats;
- Seeing six echidnas, and a koala (my first sighting of a koala on the ground in the wild); and
- The absolute highlight of the trip was watching Sir The Rats be inducted into the Australia Geocaching Hall of Fame (or maybe the jokes that Steeba and I had over the weekend over the honour!).
Thanks to all of the cachers that hid caches for us to find over our short trip away. I have little doubt in thinking that we will be back to these parts again at some stage to find more caches!
Cheers
We left Wollongong at 8pm on Thursday evening, returning at 5pm on Sunday, 2,500km and over 400 cache finds later. With less than a handful of DNFs, a wonderful result!
Highlights of the trip included:
- Finding over 330 caches on Friday, the entire Mount Disappointment trail;
- Finding ten unique cache types on Saturday, which included a drive to both Mount Buller for a Web Cam, and then back for a late night Melbourne CBD visit for a Virtual;
- Meeting up with a few local Wollongong cachers in Alexandra;
- Setting two new personal records, for my most cache finds and cache types in a day;

Found as part of a few days away with my great caching mates The Rats and Hoojar. Our main aim was the Mega event in Alexandra but we managed to find most of the Mt Disappointment series, did 9 or 10 cache types in a day (side trip to Mt Buller and then Melbourne CBD). Some great laughs, camping under the stars, a nicely organised Mega and some great wildlife (koala and echidnas ). TFTC!
Roadtrip down to Alexandra for the 2017 Mega Event.
Day 5 had me driving from Mt Disappointment to Alexandra, with a detour to Eildon for the AX17 Trout Puzzle Series.
On my journey, I dropped by here to find this one. Thanks for the cache!
Also, thanks for the Clever Monkey Geocoin!

Found while exploring the area when we were here for the #AX2017 Alexandra Mega event. Had to choose the right time to safely find the cache as there was a family who had just arrived to set up camp here for the night. No probs - task completed with no muggle intervention. TFTC Rallywrxwagon.
I have been here before but with muggle friends who weren’t very interested in me finding containers hidden around the bush.
The rain came again but not so heavy this time.
Parked the GeoLux and had a quick stroll, there are a couple of campers braving this weather.
Located the cache with not to much trouble.
Thanks Clever Monkey TFTC.

Great start to our Cathedral Range Walk. Thanks for the sticker, I know a cheeky monkey that will love it!
Checked in on the cache today with the MEGA coming up to find it is indeed gone. I have changed the hide slightly to keep it out of the hands of kids the play under the structure. PAF won't help you pre this log. Check the hint.
Feel like I searched everywhere and couldn't find it. Don't know if it's been muggled or just a very sneaky hide. Had some help too but still no luck.
Found this one at the end of a 10.5km walk/scramble along the ridgeline, from Sugarloaf Peak to Cathedral Peak. We actually camped in Neds Gully campsite the night before, but I was only checking my GPS on this day of the walk.
The campsite was fine, quite bogged this time of year (early spring) and some of the fire pits were inoperable - so we pooled firewood resources with some young girls nearby and made some friends in the process. It's all very flat grassy ground and I like the walk-in setup, that way it's a lot quieter and a bit more homely. You're surrounded by the bush rather than parked cars Toilets in good condition and it looks lovely on a sunny day.

After waking up following a 0 degree night, I found myself toasty warm. Even though I wore a t-shirt to bed, my sleeping bag had managed to keep me cozy all night long.
Theatralis however had not had such a good sleep. her *three* sleeping bags had failed to keep her warm in her tent and apparently she'd been up every hour.
It was to be the beginning of an interesting day.
This cache was found really easily but I was surprised at the container type. The bag holding the book in is split, but the book is holding up reasonably well so I guess the whole set-up is working.
Thanks for another awesome cache!!

Found this one on the drive in tonight..
Not much going on here right now..
Cache is in reasonable condition, maybe due for a new container..

Found with Miche_W! Cache was is bad shape, we took it back to our campsite and cleaned it up, dried everything off and put everything in some plastic bags to try and protect it!
Cache was full of water, including the bag with the log, so we gave it a clean out, dried everything and wrapped the cache in a bag so that it will stay dry for the next geocachers.
My thoughts are of what a wonderful place this is! It's our fist camping trip here but I know that it's going to become a much loved and favorite spot.

Today I headed out with biggles1024 to the Cathedral Rangers to find a cache that has been on the to do list for a long time.
After our small trek earlier on, we decided to stay a bit closer to the normal terrain for the rest of the day and this one fitted the bill.
Once at GZ it was a quick find, it actually took a lot longer to put it back as we had to wait for some muggles to pass by.
Thanks to Clever Monkey for placing this cache.

Find #2392
Today Steve and I headed out for what has become our annual bush run. This time it was to the Cathedral Ranges.
A letter box cache is hard to pass up. One that isn't up a tree is a welcome change. A straightforward find here.
Thank-you to Clever Monkey for placing this geocache

Stopped off for look after visiting the southern summit.
This is a proper swing bridge which gets a good sway to it with multiple people crossing, kinda nausea invoking.
Swapped stamps.
Thanks

Found it! The Walkabouters were in Marysville for a long weekend of walking. Today walked along the Little River and Messmate trails from Ned's Gully to Sugarloaf Saddle and back. I found this one before heading back to the car at the end of our walk. I was really too tired to leave any thoughts on the day after our long walk. My thought today, for it's Penny's worth, is get out into nature and enjoy a walk, climb a tree, find a cache or just lie in the grass and look at the sky. It's a good thing to do. TFTC SL
Manzie and I were in Eildon appreciating the start of what was promising to be a glorious long weekend when my phone pinged. Two fresh caches, not far from our location. The hunt was on. Manzie wasn't too keen on geocaching today—he had his own plans—but he agreed to come anyway after I promised him it wouldn't take all day. We decided to find this cache as we drove past after successfully securing both FTFs we had targeted. Upon parking nearby we were told by the man from Parks that we were in a 15 minute parking spot. WTF, really? Here? Manzie asked where the sign was. Apparently if we had arrived from the other direction we would have seen said sign. Okay, duly noted. Then we played 20 questions. Did we really look that suss? By then, almost 15 minutes had elapsed. Time to find the cache. And quickly. Luckily we were not disappointed, manzie located the cache quickly. I wanted to sit down and jot my thoughts, but, well, as you know, we were in a 15 minute parking spot and time was almost up. I was imagining the Parks man standing there waiting to slap a fine on the car. Obviously spent too much time in the city, lol. I wanted to document my jelly-legs, how unfit I felt, the disappointment of missing the view from the top, but also how lovely this spot was, and the joy of two more FTFs, but it wasn't to be. TFTC!
Back down on the river again. Nearly the end of a fun weekend hiking around here. Cheers
Thank you we enjoyed looking for it and really like how it's near the river

Found with WinnietheBear. Venturing out in the cold we were attempting to retrieve a FTF in the Cathedral Ranges. Came across this on the way. One of the few Letterboxes that have a proper stamp. TFTC.
After an unsuccessful attempt at CO's newly published cached in this State Park, I was determined to ensure I leave with at least one find to my name. After a find on the Jawbone trail, I stopped to grab this cache on my way out of the park. Very thankful for a quick find and had the logbook in hand quickly. It was damp but still usable so I signed it and left a short reflection on this beautiful area & adventure to bring me here today.

On our way home from Bonnie Doon we decided to make the most of the day and sidetracked a little to take a walk up to Ned's peak. Quite an effort for the kids to make their way up there, but very rewarding - and a surprisingly tough walk down! I think I was prouder of my effort on the way up as the walk down seemed endless. Great walk though and some good chats with the kids as we worked our way through...
And then, the final little find was the icing on the cake. Found it while beta female played on the bridge and beta male got busy giving alpha female a heart attack with his balancing adventures over the river!

Found with my son and his 3 friends whilst camping nearby for the weekend.
Although my son has been out 'treasure' hunting with me before, his friends haven't and they loved the experience. It was very wet after the rains we'd had overnight, including the inside of the cache.
My 8 year old son found it quite quickly but there was no pen to sign the log book, so they improvised using a stick and the inkpad found inside the cache.

Found completely by chance at 3:30am. I was on a run to the river to collect water to extinguish the camp fire when something reflected the light from my head torch. I knew this was in the area but with my phone app not showing this cache, I didn't know where to look! During one extra run to the river to collect water 'just in case', I signed the log and wondered what the odds would have been to find this cache this way! TFTC!
Found this letterbox cache after a 1.5 hike up a hill to look for another letterbox cache... failed miserably on that one, so came back down the hill and retrieved this one which was much easier. Log is getting a bit damp and smelly and might be time for a replacement. Happy to find another letterbox - thanks for putting it here in this beautiful part of Melbourne.
Friday 13th proved to be very lucky for us! We discovered another caching couple, Tassie Trekkers, were staying in the same caravan park for the weekend! Having introduced ourselves and chatted about all things caching and caravans etc. etc. etc. we finally decided to team up to try for a couple of the easier caches in The Cathedral Ranges. This was the first and we SL at 4.18pm just as two walkers passed by after their walk to Little Cathedral Peak. Being so late in the day and with storms and rain expected, we assured the walkers we were happy to admire the creek from the swing bridge, rather than from any higher!! Wee exchanged stamps and thoughts in the log book and continued on our drive. TFTC Clever Monkey #2718
After a chance meeting with Harrowang at Taggerty Big4 Caravan Park we teamed up to explore The Catherdral Ranges and find a couple of caches together. We enjoyed chatting about our shared interests and learning about the Eildon Geo tour which is now on our radar.
Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.

I set out for two days with the intention of doing some high D/T caching, starting in the Cathedral Ranges and then working my way to Mt Buller where I would spend the second day. I was looking forward to the caches and hiking around Mt Buller but unfortunately mother nature had other ideas with my plan as on the Friday afternoon, as I arrived at Buller, severe storms hit the region and thats when the downpour started and continued for the next 48 hours. So the long hikes were out this time and some slip sliding muddy 4WD caching resulted instead up around Yackandandah and the Barandudah Ranges.
After trekking to the top of Sugarloaf I made my way north, heading towards Mt Buller. This is a nice location with the little foot bridge and the creek flowing underneath. I only made a quick stop and find here but will be back to explore further afoot. Thanks Clever Monkey.

My wife and I found this while hiking the Northern Circuit (using this track: http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=3934014). It was our final find of the trip. Cache in good condition. Thanks!
We started a great day at the Cathedral Ranges at Mills Camp.

Heading along the road "behind" the Cathedral Ranges hunting a few caches and this one was next. Parked at the parking area about 50m from GZ and crossed over the lovely suspension bridge over the fast flowing river (really going today after a bit of rain) where there was a small group of muggles in the distance but they were all facing the other way talking amongst themselves so could hunt - and managed to get it quickly. Left my mark then replaced, thanks to Rallywrxwagon for this one.
Found this a while back but forgot to submit the log!
