As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
This was a fun one to solve, even though there's presently no physical cache.
Look forward to CO replacing cache (am logging with COs consent)

Solved the puzzle yesterday with some help from my geospouse and got geochecker's approval for the co-ords. A pleasant ride took me to GZ this morning, but all I could find was a "modified plastic bottle" which was obviously left there by night-time revelers
Permission granted by the CO to claim as found I'm pleased to claim it as it's been on my list of unsolved puzzles close to home for ages. Thankyou very much, Rastas000
I made a mess out of this puzzle... as my approach was much more complex than what was needed. But, as usual, this has given me some new ideas for future puzzle caches!
Logged with permission of the owner who provided phone support when I struggled to locate the cache.
Thanks for the history, the puzzle, the cache, and the hotline support, Rastas000! It was nice catching up on the phone. See you in Melbourne some time?

I don't know how long the corrected coordinates for this cache have been in my database but today I located the cache. I must have had a moment of clear thought a few years ago.
We were out and about with a few of the SEQ Puzzle Solvers Group today. We required a bit of a nudge to solve the puzzle, but we got there in the end. Not quite sure why the boys were so intent in going so far from GZ as the cache was easily found in the likely spot. TFTC Rastas000
Solved this one over the Christmas break when the heavens opened to spoil the seasonal feastivities. Was able to do the necessary research to find the necessary information to solve the puzzle with a minor little twist.
Grabbed the cache today with the other SEQ Puzzle Solvers.
Great little puzzle with history!

I am no stranger to this line of thinking but, I have to say this one caused me some grief. It just wouldn't come together for me and I needed a nudge to complete it. Out and about today with a group of puzzle solvers from down this way, we headed if for a hunt. You would think that with a few eyes on the job, the cache would be spotted quickly right... Well, the simple answer is no... We completely overlooked the hidey hole and were a little further "in" when Mrs Just A Trifle approached behind us and picked the container from it's lair... Ooops...
Now, of course we were always going to check that spot, just not at the start of our hunt...
Cheers Rastas000

This was a complex and challenging puzzle although we made it harder than it needed to be. A Modelbear trait unfortunately. Found the background information gathering very interesting. Had a little help from a junkie who said we had done the right thing just had to work out what to do with it. Sat down last night and finally nutted it out. Checked it and whoo-hoo got it right. Appropriate find on Anzac Day. Cache dry and in good condition. TFTC.
Bedmaker worked out the puzzle for this one and we headed off in search of the cache. Found in a nice secluded little area, enjoyed the short walk to GZ. TFTC
This is one cache that I can say I've been working at on and off for the last couple of years.
Finally I got a bee in my bonnet having that one icon there so I got stuck into it.
Found all the required info but had trouble getting the co-ords to appear.
After many hours and an ever so slight nudge in the right direction I finally had a set of co-ords.
Today TassieGirl and I where in the area grabbing another sporty cache so we grabbed this one too.
What a real little hidden area this turned out to be.
Cache still all ok and our names added to the list

It was a rainy overcast type of day when we headed out to find this cache. We got close to GZ and had a look where we thought the cache might be but couldn't find it. So we moved closer to where the GPSr was pointing and checked out a few other possibilities. When we still hadn't found the cache we widened the search area. Thinking we would just have to log a DNF we headed back to the first spot for one last look and there it was almost leaping out at us. I have no idea how we missed it on our first pass! The history lesson we had whilst figuring out the co-ordinates was most interesting, thanks.
We solved this one a few years ago and today with an event on nearby, it was no1 priority.
The GPSr wanted us to get very wet but we had already worked out the easy way in. A short walk and the cache was ours.
Shame that the rest of the series has gone.

This was cache # 7 of 32 on day three of my Brisvegas Tour. I had this one in the solved pile for some time now so it was good to finally get a smile for it. My thanks to Rastas000 for the cache.
Boy oh boy, have I had some trouble with this puzzle. Had the answer all along of course. I just refused to see what I should have seen a long time ago. If nothing else, it made the finding that much sweeter after all the heartache. TN/LN/SL. An easy find in a place that may be quite a challenging trek in the rainy season.
Again, I have ridden on Geo-hubby's back in finding this one . Easily found once he'd worked out the numbers. I put my hand where I shouldn't have and found myself swatting ants galore. Boy they bite [:(!]!! I love these little suburban parks. TFTC
I had a lot of fun trying to work this one out. It was very well put together and I felt quite the secret agent trying to get the clues and solve it. TomTom didn't like where I was trying to park but I think I had the better location. I found a huge spider at the obvious place at GZ but the cache was turned up a short time later.
Many thanks,
R - B

Loved the puzzle although followed a few dead ends. Found after surprising a sleeping possum! TFTC Rastas000. Don't think the series is still available but had a lot of fun decoding the puzzles at least
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 11:30am but not "With a little help from my friends" But with lotsa help from my friends. This is a tough puzzle to crack but an easy cache to find. The cache is safe, well and dry where it is. I have looked at this puzzle several times over the last 6 months but only this time was I determined to find out how it should be solved as I'm not very good with Puzzle Caches. From every Puzzle Cache that I do, I am learning more about the weird and wonderful ideas that some people have for confusing the cache find. Thanks Bob for the help and the cache. Out: taken out a TB Gallipoli
If somebody could please retrieve the Lest We Forget bug from this cache we would be in your debt. Cheers, T & S & Little DragonFoot & Pink Princess
Well I started solving this one a long time ago and enjoyed my time in front of the computer well we finally retrieved it tonight. Left a TB that is slightly associated with this cache.
I had meant to seek this one out two days ago but forgot to bring the coords with me - oops. I managed to solve the puzzle on my own (surprisingly!) but I did need a hint to help me find the cache itself (thanks totalube). I've acquired the necessary materials to solve Chaffinch - now to work out what to do with them!! TFTC
After finally sitting down and solving this puzzle (with a little help) I took geoson to pick this up this morning. I never knew this existed. TFTC and the puzzle, looking forward to finishing off the rest.
I was certain on how to solve this cache right from the start but when I first started decoding all I got was gibberish. Hence I then embarked on examining every other possible way of approaching the solution other than my original. I even had a few hints along the way but these made little sense to me given I was dismissing my original analysis. Yesterday in frustration I returned to my original notes and had another play around. Bingo out pops a solution.
Why O why do I make these type of caches so difficult
Thanks for the cache if only I had been speedy and confident in solving it

#16 of 21 finds on my second-last day in Brisbane. I found this one at 1240. This was another puzzle that I was able to crack before leaving home. I bit of creative thinking, coupled with help from my friends Larry Page and Sergey Brin gave me the start I needed. I bit of deciphering gave me a set of coordinates that I was able to confirm with the link on the cache page. The find was easy after all that. Thanks to Rastas000 for the cache. Cheers, dak.
I've had the co-ords for this one for a while finall a chance to nab it TFTC.
Hurrah! Found, after solving the puzzle with the gentlest of hints (thanks Rastas000). I'd had the puzzle done for a while, and finally got around to actually grabbing the cache today. Nice hide. TFTC. ='.'=
I solved this puzzle a little while ago, but had the chance to grab this cache on the way home from completing 'X'.
The puzzle was fun, I think the clue was a little misleading, but a gentle push from TGF sorted me out.
And after using up all my caching fu finding utter bastard in the first place I looked I had a little trouble locating this cache. I quick call to Rastas sorted that out. TFTC.

Had a bit of trouble with the puzzle. Had to consult the owner for advice.
The cache was a nice easy find when we got to GZ. The coordinates seemed very accurate. No swaps today, but we grabbed the TB
Thanks for the cache! (and the hint)

Very interesting to learn a bit more about Brisbane's wartime history [^]
This should have been easy ....but, that Rastas000 is a sneaky customer
No such problems this morning on a quick bike tour of Bleary Cove
I confidently rode straight up to a spot 20 metres from GZ
"Who put that damn creek there?" [:o]
10 minutes later and I found another tucked away park that only the locals used to know about
TFTC and the headache. I cannot wait for the next one [8)]

What a great bit of history this cache highlights! I had no idea that we had history like this in Brisbane! I have to admit that I didn't read it properly while solving the puzzle, but only now that I've come home.
I raced to put the pieces together and discussed the details via Instant Message with Mr HawMorFord as we raced to solve it together. It wasn't long before the answer popped out (although not without a bit of stress over a simple error of mathematics on my behalf!).
As the HawMorFords and I had the answer at the same time we agreed to meet up at the co-ordinates... around 30 minutes later we arrived on sight and made our way towards GZ. Imagine our surprise when there was already another cacher there with cache in hand! We were even further surprised to find a darksiders name in the logbook - how on Earth did they get here before us!!!!!! grrrrr!!
Oh well... we settled for shared 3rd to find at 18:05. Thanks for a great cache.

Great puzzle Rastas. I love this type of thing....ie a puzzle, history and a cache at the end. Who could ask for more.
The disadvantages of not finishing until 6.00pm (ish). With the number of signings already in the book it must have been like central station.
Hmmm the advantages of having a team. I can just imagine Mrs Nanks working frantically on the puzzle whilst Mr Nanks is on the road. Looks like your team work really paid off Congratulations
Now to Mr Rastas....love your puzzles...but you really are a GC110A6 (meant in the nicest possible way of course)
Thanks...looking forward to the next installment

It was a slow day at work this afternoon and I was running out of excuses to justify my procrastination... then, suddenly, a gift from the caching Gods arrived in the form of this exquisite cache.
It was an immediately engaging puzzle and after a couple of quick searches, I was hooked. The planets seemed to be lining up nicely as I even had a partner in crime on line with me to compare notes with. (Thanks TGF)
After a little fooling around and a couple of dead ends, the coordinates revealed themselves (YES! Solved in record time!). We decided to meet at GZ and go in search of our prize - yes indeed, we will share the FTF... NOT!

Team work and a dash of luck were the successful combination for THENANKS this afternoon! The first thing to go our way was a cancelled meeting. [^] Mrs NANKS was hooked on this puzzle from the start and once she discovered that Mr NANKS was over on the far side with work she attacked it with even more determined vigour! How sweet would it be to get a FTF out from under the noses of all those keen far siders?
A few dead ends were encountered but google is your friend and Mrs NANKS got what she needed. At this stage almost smelling victory, she relaxed a little only to discover yet another twist. Confidence was waning, but give up? - NO! [:(!] An idea came and it looked like it just might be the answer! [^] A bit more problem solving and the coordinates were there!
Another call to the other adult half of team THENANKS and a loaded question of "You're still over that way aren't you?" (Yes he was - lucky for him). I relayed the coordinates and off he went checking over his shoulder all the way.
A fresh and blank log book greeted him at the cache which was an easy find at about 5:15pm. YAY FTF! Mr NANKS claimed the FTF prize, thanks Rastus! He grabbed the geocoin and put in a "loved this cache" geocoin and a TB that he'd been carrying around for a while.
Top stuff Rastus. I need a good rest before the next one please! Too much stress!

Well, now that THENANKS have logged I can see we weren't just beat, we were beat by a long chalk. I can't believe it. The whole train ride home I was anxiously counting down stations knowing a new Rasta000 cache will be like blood in the water. I was quite releived when I got there and was no one already at the GZ.
This is a nice little secluded spot here. My first thoughts on arriving was that I'd be able to search for ages without disturbing the neighbours. Fortunatly it didn't take ages although it did take a while. The cache was right where the arrow sent me but evaded my eyes on the first pass. I was just making another pass when I heard children. "Hmm... I've an inkling what that might mean..." I'd just plucked the cache from its hide and was just opening it up when The Garner Family and Mr HawMorFord came over the rise.
I must admit I was feeling a little smug about having beaten them here so it was quite a shock when it came time to log the visit I discovered it's already been signed!! By a north side 'interloper' no less.
Thanks for this cache Rasta. I've been keenly looking forward to it and was not disappointed. I was facinated to read about.. well you know, the stuff the puzzle is about. I love the idea of all those goings on in a suburban Brisbane garage.

Clearly this one was just a bit too easy.
I shall have to really work on the next one to make it one that takes a bit more work. (I do have some dastardly ideas in mind. I have downgraded the difficulty to 3 instead of 3.5!
I am glad I was not at GZ yesterday, it was busier than Central Station in peak hour!
