Hi

23-May-24
I had two possible locations as my favoured choices. I ventured off the track and had a look around at my first choice but didnt find anything. So I gave up and decided to move on but then had second thoughts and approached from a different angle. At first there was nothing obvious until I spotted what could well be some strategically placed camouflage. Moving things aside revealed the treasure I was seeking. Im so glad I took that second look. TFTC

TBU2Uwe001 and I solved this multi cache and signed the log couple of days ago. It was a lovely walk, though at the beginning, the refuse tip was quite smelly.

Thanks for maintaining this different Multi, 1 MinnieMoo. A fav point from me.

1MinnieMoo I found your cache Message in a Bottle on 6/5/2023, 3:15 pm. This is my find 5227 and find # 9 today. Thought I’d try to find the bottle first but no luck with that. Decided to do it the hard way. Placed all 5 coordinates in the GPSR. Picked one and headed off to the coordinates. Arrived at GZ and what do you know I picked the right coordinates for I found the treasure chest after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

This afternoon, the lure of a newly published geocache had me take a quick break from work to take the drive to Nudgee Beach. After grabbing that particular geocache, I thought I'd take a shot at this multi-cache, before returning back home to work my work day remainder from home.

I previously visited the posted coordinates on 12/11/2022 with jesswrigley, hoping to find the fabled message in the bottle in order to expedite this cache find, but alas after a fairly decent search, no bottle was found. Having read several past logs, I suspect that this bottle has been missing for a while, and I couldn't see a log that mentioned that they found the bottle even after reading from 2017. I know it isn't essential to the multi-cache, as there is an alternative trial-and-error method to then completing, but it would have meant that we would not have wasted time at the posted coordinates, and performed more research at home with deducing GZ.

Consequently, that research was conducted, and a few waypoints I could cross out from prior expeditions and knowledge. It then left 1-2 plausible locations, and I thought I'd take a jog and attempt to see if one particular held the location of the treasure bounty. After walking around that spot for a good 10 minutes looking for spots as per the hint, doubt began to creep in, and I was thinking I needed to revert to another location. Just as I had mentally confirmed that I'd be logging a DNF today, I found the mighty bounty. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I suspect the hint may only be relevant to the ex-bottle, rather than the cache itself (unless I need to brush up my knowledge of mangroves/trees). Thanks K8'n'Co. for the cache placement, and 1MinnieMoo for its ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 02/2007 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.

Fairly quick find after walking around in circles until I saw an obvious hiding spot. Is great to find this oldie and put my name in the original log book. This was a great multi. Tftc

On my way to an event in Nudgee and have enough time to pick up a few caches on the way.

I’ve looked at this one before but didn’t have the time. Made the time today and looked at the possibilities, I picked the one I thought looked the best and gave it a go. I was very happy to find the cache in the first place I looked!!

I disturbed a massive ants nest when I pulled out the cache, but the pirate bounty was unharmed. Tftc 1MinnieMoo

Working on some Challenges and my son was keen to ride my escooter which tried out when I first got it and it bucked me off and I am trying to protect my new knee. We set off to get this one and another one. He got the other one then returned to me. Soon found the cache which was almost walking aided by huge ants. We were able to get the cache to an appropriate place to open it where the ants could be distanced from us, luckily I had my walking pole which was very helpful in the process. Log signed and cache replaced as found. This cache has been on my radar for several years and eventually a Smilie. TFTC

A couple of months ago, I had spent a good half hour looking for the bottle without success and then I noticed that it hasn’t been found for some years. I ran out of time to check out the possible GZs that day but was back in the area today. I chose a likely location and found it straight away. Large black ants have made a nest around the tin but luckily not in it. Tftc

With some free time this morning, we decided to head over to Nudgee. This cache was our starting point. At the end of a day of kayaking some many months ago, we had stopped by at the first wp for this one and found nothing.
Today we decided to come back and look through all possible options.

We had spent nights poring over the old pirate map, pirates with a plan to pillage and loot their way through Nudgee. Aarghh… just the right adventure for for a couple of greedy salties.
Mooring the pirate brigantine along the rocky shores, Captain Domsky dropped anchor while First man, Mrs Domsky surveyed the skyline, the landline and looked to the distance. Which other ruffian pillagers could be in the area...
With the coast clear, the cannons were loaded, just in case Captain Hook, a well-known sailor in these parts was about. All seemed quiet, and so the Pirates and their team of reckless plunderers touched land, a most unusual thing for these sea-loving adventurers.
On land, just like a crocodile, they seemed like a fish out of water. It was a fair pussy-footed bunch that made their way to GZ, looking like a group of lost boys out of Peter Pan.
With trepidation, and all bravery waning, the Pirates stumbled at GZ, not sure whether the treasure was worth braving those fearsome ants, that long grass, and all the possible crocodiles that could be chasing Captain Hook.
With trembling hands, the treasure chest was unlocked, an ink mark penned, and not being land lubbers, sped in fear back to their galleon , only to discover that they had indeed forgotten to pillage anything.
Aaay… m’hearties! A log signed is a good log!
Thanks K8’n’Co. Thanks 1MinnieMoo!
A FP here!

Ahhh yes, the message in a bottle, who knows where that is because I couldn't find it when I was in the area last so it was a matter of picking a location and hoping for the best. I had a good idea where it could be after stalking a few previous finders, I was fairly confident on my choice so I hit the road in search of the beasty, luckily I brought my scooter with me which made the trip a lot quicker, but it sure as hell made me tired.

I eventually arrived at my destination puffing and panting and commenced my search only to be caught off guard by a council worker seeing if everything was ok, yes yes. I'm good, carry on. Shortly after the cache was spotted, I popped to beast open to sign the log and I was on my way. It's great to see a 2007 cache with its original log still in place. All good here.

Wahooo!!!

Finally got this oldie - the closest unfound oldie to home, and a multi to boot!

I set off with P' to do this a few weeks back, but the bottle was not to be seen. Queue an alternative approach to solving this multi.

Today I was in the area to do some yakking, and decided to leave early to pick up this cache. It was a great walk, and we were joined by heaps of two-wheeling fitness fanatics who were starting the new year the right way.

Arriving at GZ, I found something that made me squeal - AN ORIGINAL 2007 LOGBOOK! Unreal, this has been out in the wild for 14 years now. Great geocaching history. Photos will be added.

Having to continue my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day, saw me on my bike today to grab a couple in the area. I finished work and headed over to grab this one and a couple others that I had been putting off. A break in the storms and I was on the bike riding around having some fun.
This cache was an easy find, although it did take a trial and error method and a PAF to find this one. A nice hide with plenty of smiles inside the cache and with the log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to the next one in the area.
Thank you for placing this one here, all good with this cache.

On a beautiful Wednesday morning visiting the lovely Nudgee Beach, I wanted to complete this multi. Being a fan of K8'n'Co caches, I knew I would be in for something good!

I couldn't find what I needed at WP1, as others have said previously, there is only a tether remaining. Hmmmm, without any previous research, I thought I would try my luck, pick one option and go for it!

Making my way to what I hoped was the right GZ, enjoying the glorious warm winter sun, I arrived at the tree I had picked out from the distance, and found I had picked the right one! What a great day! I was happy to have the treasure filled cache in hand, and was soon signing the log. All is well with the cache.

Thanks for the adventure K8'n'Co and 1MinnieMoo, as always, enjoyed my experience with this cache.

Finding this treasure proved a delightful and unexpected bonus for today. We are madly filling in the last few (high difficulty, high terrain) places in our D/T grid and came out with our bikes to find one of these. Seeing a multi right on our path, and sadly unloved, we couldn't resist having a try.

The first thing we tried was looking for the bottle at the published coordinates. This was unsuccessful so we put it aside and set off on our primary mission. Having found the object of our mission, we sat down and looked at the Captain's treasure map, which was in remarkably good condition. Using our modern technology and logic, we deduced where his treasure might be, and made our way there. What a delight to find a lovely big, dry cache full of treasure in the first place we looked! Thanks for helping us to find this delightful treasure!

What can you do with a wet Easter Sunday? Walking around wetland and collect some caches!
We missed the bottle (knowing some caches by Mr K8'n'Co. we would love to find it one day) and took option 2 to find the cache. It turned out that we guessed well and the final didn't disappoint.

Before leaving home I did some quick research on this multi and by that I mean I read the cache description and some past logs. That led to me to do a bit more reading and noting down of some of the target areas which were all plugged in. There was only one spot that I could be bothered checking out today unless it didn't work and then I would have probably got pissed off and forced myself to check the others.

I was sweating bullets by the time I reached GZ and I asked my wife to wipe my brow like I was a surgeon. She politely responded that she was not touching that sloppy thing. Lucky there's no teamwork attribute required.

As soon as I moved the cache, I was greeted by a deadly plaque of killer ants. I'm not sure where they came from but I could feel them crawling over my hands. It felt like the gentle tickle of a feather, provided that feather its actually a blunt axe. I had to shake the cache a few times to get them clear before counting the booty.

When it came time to cover the cache back up I was trying to be quick so that no killer leech ants could attack and in trying to grab some bark hastily I also grabbed a spiky vine and put a hole in my thumb. My wife came to my rescue pulling a tissue out of her bra to mop up the blood and I had to start wondering what else she keeps in there. tftc

After kayaking our way around a multi cache earlier in the afternoon, my compatriots scuttled off home for an afternoon nanna-nap while the hardier of the group was left on my own to attempt this cache. With the initial WP seeming to be MIA according to recent logs, I had done some research at home. A previous cycling adventure in search of other caches around these parts allowed me to recognise a certain feature, which led to the deduction of a likely GZ. A quick jog from the car and I was close to my destination and some navigation through the grass and trying to avoid the random puddles of water soon had me at a likely hiding spot. Sure enough under the camo I found my prize and signed off into the logbook. TFTC

My caching buddies told me about this one yesterday when we were out this way and they gave me a good idea of it, so I went home and checked it out and decided to return today to find out more and the cache. I found where the waypoint 1 should be but there is only a tether left there Sad So this one needs some maintenance. So after crunching the numbers I decided to go to one of the waypoints and GOT IT!!! Yey I found the treasure TFTC Smile

13/11/16, 2:15 pm Find #1448

I had looked at the once before but not had time to look for it.

On the way to another cache, I passed the waypoint and stopped for a quick look but all I found was the tether.

I only had time to check one of the five locations and thankfully I chose the right one.

Heading home from Cleveland today I decided to grab a few of the caches that I'd missed last time I was in the area.

The first stage for this one had been found a while back and the finals obtained so I continued on to GZ where the cache was soon in hand.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

In Brisbane for some business from Melbourne, I had some time to mix it with some caching today.

This was a wonderful cache and thoroughly enjoyed.

It was the first of many for the day and found with JACSTeam with whom I cached for the day.

I picked up the TB and dropped off 2 more - thanks so much for the fun here today. Awesome picture and a thoroughly deserved fave point.

A nice day for caching and bike riding. What a great job on the map and storyline. Made for a very interesting cache. So gets a favourite point from us. Saw the log about the missing bottle so took a stab at one of the coordinates and whooo stumbled on the treasure. Left an old jewel encrusted brooch (seemed to fit in with the theme) and torch travelbug that has been with us awhile and needs to move on. TFTC.

Came by this afternoon but it appears the bottle has floated away. It's tether is still there though. I didn't have time to do it the long way unfortunately.
Thanx anyway K 8

I obtained a new Garmin vivosmart HR the other day so I decided to give it a good test run today with a 13km walk to pick up a few caches. This was the fist cache of the day. I had visited the very cool first waypoint a long time ago, maybe a year actually and had been meaning to return. Today it was on the list of must get cache. Nice hide and not too far off the beaten track. TFTC

Mr Lee and I headed out with the geopooches today to get some exercise. I've also been trying to complete the spelling challenges but so far have been failing miserably. This one is not too far away from home and near an old swimming hole we used to love to bring Stella too when we lived closer. So we headed out map in hand to see about which co ordinates would give us the treasure. The map didnt make sense at first and after I had a look at the starting point to see if this is where the bottle could be hidden. I didnt see anything and the girls were anxious for their walk, so we decided to head off in a direction and see how we go. It appears that we were spot on. Mr Lee waited on the trail with the girls, as he is always conscious of snakes, while battling the mozzies away. The treasure! I did not expect to find it so soon as was mildly dissapointed that our hunt ended so soon. TFTH!

Found with bear0503 and rusty my geo dog. I had already been to 2 of the locations and the other one I ruled out . I came here 2 days ago with my muggle husband but it was wet and I didn't have courage . Today however bear0503 and I plucked up the courage and luckily didn't come across anything slithery. My instincts were spot on and we did the happy dance . Alot of thought as usual from k8@co. Never dissapointed thanks for the enjoyable walk. Rusty says thanyou

Couldn't find the bottle or the pirate map!!

22-Mar-16
TFTC used a method of trial and error as we couldn't find the bottle. Love the pirate surprise when we opened the cache. Very nice stroll today and not too many muggles about.
Cache contents were slightly damp as was the log book but it was still signable.

Had been looking at this one for a while. So needing a M for my November challenge and being a K8'n'co hide I was keen to try this one. It turned out KerriMG and I were free this afternoon so today was the day.
We didn't start well. We looked high, we looked low but that bottle eluded us. However knowing this area well I had my thoughts on where the treasure may lie. So off we went totally on my recommendation.
So I was very pleased when Kerri said that she had the cache in sight. We dodged spiders and then had a branch (twig) fall onto my head as we approached. But looking for treasure wasn't meant to be easy.

Took the TB and left my first Christmas decoration for the year (it's only 40 sleeps till the big man arrives (I love Christmas).

Headed out this afternoon in search of treasure with Nikid1 & my daughter. We arrived at the alleged site of the bottle containing our final co-ords but after a good search of the indicated area we came up empty handed (our caching mojo has been a bit off lately.....) however we were armed with the 5 lots of co-ords from the pirate map & favoured 1 as the most likely spot so headed off.
A lovely stroll lead us to the suspected GZ & after avoiding a few lurking spiders (although a falling tree branch did find Nic's head!) we found the bountiful treasure chest.
Geodaughter had a lovely hunt through the assorted treasure & we swapped a few items.
All good with the cache & it was replaced as found.

Went treasure hunting with me scurvy muggle crew. I let them swabs grub about the bush till they comes up with the clue, and a while later we came upon the chest filled with dubloons. Great hide; me favourite kind. Even left a wee trackable to continue on its journey. TFTC K8'n'Co

#40/50 on my Big Monday.
I had thought of leaving my car up near the Anne Beasley lookout but as dusk was approaching, I became worried that I would get locked in. My legs were really starting to seize up by this stage of the day, having been on the run for about 12 hours with just a couple of good breaks here and there. My best running shoes had fallen apart, so I was forced to use my dodgy old shoes, normally reserved for mud hopping or tree climbing.
Reluctantly, I pulled in at the trail head and set off. I found WP1 ages ago but had no time to pursue it further back then. Today was the day. A bike would have been very useful right about now, but sadly I didn't have one on board.
This is a nice area which I always enjoy visiting, but my need to jog through the pain put a bit of a dampener on things. I pushed along and at last, arrived at the GZ where a beautifully constructed chest awaited. A sight for sore eyes! I would have liked to hang around much longer, but alas I had two more caches to collect and then a big old run back to the car to see if I could make some geocaching history today.
TFTC where everything is excellent!

I had a couple of hours to get some caches today and this one was on my list to be my 'M' in Fangsoki's 'September' Challenge. I had gone to do this one a couple of times before, but it just hadn't worked out (that's another story), but today I was feeling lucky. It didn't take me long to find the coordinates for the cache and I was soon strolling along past pied oyster catchers and enjoying life in general. What a lovely place this is! Ah and look, there's the cache, my favourite type. I signed the log, put it back and headed out to find an ogre. TFTC K8'n'Co, another ripper!

Arrrgh, hidden treasure! The promise of bullion was too much to resist, and though I don't usually go raidin' another pirate's stash, the temptation was too much to resist Big Grin.

A little searching was required, but once the meticulously prepared bottle was located, I knew exactly where to head. Enjoyed a jog to GZ, where I quickly found the buried treasure, nice to see it well stocked with pieces of eight. Thanks for a great adventure, FP from me

Smilie #2709

Having attended an event nearby we decided to grab a few extra smilies on the way back to base.

Pulled to the side of the road as the GPS was indicating a cache only 45 metres away.
That's way too close to drive past without, at the very least, a cursory inspection!
Closed in on the co-ordinates & quickly found the information I was seeking.
Now on to the final stage!
Walking, walking, walking ... checked the distance to go, 497 metres.
Really! LOL ...
Onwards ever onwards!
At last, I reached true GZ, now to feign making a phone call while a few muggle cyclist make the way into the distance then in for the kill!
Quickly located the cache, signed & replaced as found.

I visited about 6 months ago and found the first WP and loved the container. I entered the coordinates but it was too far that day as I had my little family with me and about 1 gazillion mozzies too. I found myself in the area today so parked on Nudgee Road and walked in grabbing this and a few caches on the way. A huge spider sat atop the cache. TFTC. Took nothing - left nothing

On the geocycles for a maintenance run with barbbowman today and this enabled me to collect a few of these stragglers along the bike path. A beautiful day today, albeit a bit windy, but just right for being on the bikes.

WP1 was did not take too long to locate, as it was spot on GZ. Smile I liked the cool container with the information needed for the next WP. At was all dry and secure here.

WP2 was soon located and I could see it from the path. Thankfully the ground was not too soggy and again very nice treasure of a log book. Big Grin

Yes finally we found it!

This cache has had us puzzled for many hours and was our first real insight into the creativity and wonder a Geocache can inspire.

Starting at the beginning it's important to know we have walked out dog at nudgee beach for years and we love it. So the idea of a message in a bottle on the beach that leads to treasure was exciting to say the least. So from that day on we looked in passing on every walk. To no avail and many days we retreated from the sun and the surf without being any wiser. We tackled the five locations logically (only visiting the two most likely) but came up trumps at them.

Eventually our pride broke down and asking a fellow finder we were able to garnish a hint or two! But we had been to that spot and had no luck so I wasn't confident we would ever get there. Maybe we should log a DNF. But it's a multi doesn't that mean we get multiple go's? Haha.

So in this vein we headed out for another go. Back to a familiar spot we rode and without the excess of water that was here last time it was a little easier. Maybe the signs were there all along but we've come a long way developing our geo senses since then. This time it was straight in for the find!

A quick signature insured future pirates would know we were there and a swag swap to vary the booty before returning this cache (chest) to its hide.

A long log we know but truly a grand cache that we are happy to have spent hours over. Thank you so much for placing this cache and the wonderful intricate details that have been incorporated. A worthy favorite point given. TFTC!

On a very soggy afternoon freddo and I were determined to find the 4 remaining caches to make our 900th. This one was intended to be that milestone, but 2 dnf's close by meant it was not to be Twisted The rain had stopped and the mozzies were out in force as we collected what we needed at the first WP. The walk to GZ was scenic with flocks of birds swooping over the wetlands, seemingly enjoying a break from the rain. I wish I'd been quicker with the camera. We arrived at GZ and freddo soon found the lovely big container. Loved the attention to detail, it reminded us of a similarly themed multi we completed at the tip of Bribie. We picked up the TB to continue its journey. Thanks for a great caching experience K8'n'Co. Big Grin

I remember attempting this one when it was located up at Nudgee Beach. The bottle was missing at the time and I couldn't read the map on my phone and decided to give it a miss.

Today was another story. Straight in and found the bottle almost immediately, then off to the final location. Another great k8'n'Co cache. TFTC

Mrs Flag and I drove back up here to search for my iPhone as I had lost it on the Friday before. A successful walk to Anne Beasleys Lookout had us happily braving the wild animals, mozzies, and giant spiders to seek out a Pirates Treasure arr! The coordinates at the waypoint were tough to find but soon we were once again nearing Anne's spot, then onwards into the deep dark jungle. Avast matey, what's that , a likely place for a treasure chest? Arrr, and it was! Lots of fun, Tftc!

Slow Puncture were out with Angela of Team DNA for a quick start to 2015.

We stopped at the nearest to the initial co-ords and ventured a short way up the boardwalk. Luke volunteered to go 'off-road' for the final steps to the clue, and his eyes fell right upon it.

With the the finals keyed into the GPS, we headed off on our walk. Hmmm, this is a %$@& day to be walking outside, hot, humid and squadrons of mozzies who must have rung ahead to alert their friends of our presence. Mind you, that was OUR fault for not taking any repellent Sad

We finally made it to GZ, and the container was found quickly, thank goodness, as standing still was an invitation to be eaten!

Mercifully, we saw the nearby sign (pic attached) AFTER getting back onto the path!

TFTC, K8'n'Co.

Off on an adventure with Slow Puncture to clear up some of our map and we popped out this way to grab the couple of caches up here!

We had grabbed the co-ords a little earlier and had parked up as close as we could get to GZ.

We ventured off on the path in the hot blazing sun. Realising a little too late, that we should have brought mozzie repellent, the blighters started biting us and they only got thicker!!

As Mrs SP and I ventured off the path, I made a quick discovery and then the mozzies set in. It was like looking through an approaching black mist!! They started attacking me while I signed the log so Mrs SP started swatting me all over, even getting 3 in one swat! Mr SP thought this was worth videoing but we managed to sign the log and return in record time, before he could say ACTION!

We ran as fast as we could to get out of the haze and most of the way back to the car!!

We are visiting family in the area this holiday season and teamed up with locals Beckster22 and Geoferret 8 to collect a few caches in the area. We were after 3 in particular that filled a hole in our D/T matrix and planned to pick up a few extras in between. The weather today was less than ideal. It was raining from the outset and continued throughout the morning until the early afternoon but that did not deter us. By the time we arrived at the wetlands after picking up a few caches in the Redcliffe area, we were completely soaked. Shoes, socks, clothing everything! We parked the car and began the hike in to the wetlands caches. The mosquitos were ferocious! Luckily I had the aerogaurd on board and covered my self from top to toe.
We jumped into the marshy mangroves to collect the necessary info required for this one. We were wet already so it didn't matter. A very clever container at this point. With the coords punched into the GPS we set off and pick up a few other caches on the way to the final. The final did not disappoint. A great well stocked container and we found the treasure!! I was a bit concerned about snakes at GZ with the bush bash in the marshy ground. But we got there. Adding a favourite point for this one. Thanks K8'n'Co.

Hot Wheels Duo and myself were in the area today to collect this cache and a few others nearby.
We found the cutest bottle with a message and headed off towards the treasure.
The wetlands are certainly dry at the moment. A few other pirates were sailing past in the opposite direction.
The treasure was located. There was a pair of binoculars in the cache, not sure if it was a swap so a call to CO from Geobudy to check and it looks like it was (unless someone has lost them and they were put in here - just email me).
Left 2 x carabineers with torches and compasses - took binoculars.
The geokids found a real message in a bottle last weekend in Brisbane river - it was from a girl who had a sad story and how her life had turned around and was now great and if only her boyfriend was still here to find out. It was a beautiful letter.
Cache in great condition.
Well deserved favourite point. I loved this cache.
Thanks K8'n'Co.

Having finished the Ban-Yobbo series this morning - we decided to tackle this one before lunch. The bottle was very quickly located, so so cute! I am giving it a favourite point just for the cuteness.

We then set off walking - I mumbled and grumbled cause it was hot, but good training for an impending hike in a couple of weeks. Once we approached GZ, Lost2Found spotted the cache quickly and it was jam packed with swaps and other goodies.

A nice fun cache - and I did ring the CO just to tell him I didn't need to phone him for help on this one, unlike other caches he has! Razz

Please note there is a new bottle in a new location. No need to try and open the bottle as it has been sealed. The co-ords should be visible. The hint is for the bottle. There is no fence or roof like structure at GZ.

I had forgotten that I had obtained the final coordinates for this a while ago and saw it pop up just out of my path this morning so it was great to be able to finish this one off. 'Ol Captain Hidenceke will be pleased to know that his treasure is still safe and sound in his chosen hiding place. I had a bit of a moment with it though, as I managed to spill it's contents as I was admiring it. Very sorry sir, it's all put back now, I promise!
Thanks K8'n'Co. for a nice little multi cache!

There was a fence erected around the tree and workmen were working on a roof-type structure. I was unable to get within 15 metres of the tree.

After spending the morning walking around the bush area on the other side of the Gateway motorway with Bubba89 and clocking up 11km. It was time to visit this side and get on the bikes for a ride.

We parked at the Boondall end, before following the path almost all the way to nudgee road, and then working our way back from cache to cache. All in all from carpark back to carpark we put just around 11km on the bikes, not bad for a little ride after lunch.

---

Second stop along the path heading back towards Boondall, and we were able to make the stop thanks to the information that Bubba89 had. I had not even thought about this multi, today and so the day turned from one multi find to this being the third.

As we approached there were a few options for where this one may be, however a most likely spot soon presented itself and on moving back the came the container soon presented itself. The treasure is still safe and sound and once we had added out name to the log, and replaced the cover for the next treasure hunter, it was back on the bikes and moving forward.

out for a ride this morning with OrionJ after doing a nearby multi.

I had the final co-ords for this for quite some time sitting in my solved but not found pile. today gave the perfect reason to finally pick this one up.

Once disembarking my ship,we walked all the way up past the beach settlement and found the first clue. Once we had found the message in the bottle, we walked all the way down past the end of the river, past the skull cave until we came across the special tree. Being mountainous, and not walkable, we headed south towards the boat, then headed west for a bit, then north again past the skull cave until we came to secret tree two. This led us south again past the fighting transmission poles until we had to walk west again. Seeing the track headed North, we went past the loch ness monster, very quietly to the next clue. That clue led us south to the final chest. Quietly negotiating past the dragon at the loch, we soon came to the treasure we were looking for.

Its all there on the map.

Thankyou for the adventure K8nCo

Spent ages at this cache today but with not luck. Hoping it's wasnt where the council has been doing some work.

I had just a couple to collect today in preparation for a milestone tomorrow, and this has been in my corrected coordinates pile for aaaaaaages - way back when the message in the bottle was still around and in its original spot! So, grabbing my sister, my niece and a couple of bicycles, because every captain needs some scurvy swabs to order around, we made an afternoon of it and set sail, at last, for this far horizon. Smooth sailing all the way to GZ, where we cast anchor and waded our way across to discover a pirate's treasure! TFTC, K8'n'Co.. =^.^=

By chance we were in the appropriate areas on other business at different times today so we thought we would check it out. We had done it in full over 4 years ago.

There is no sign of the bottle. It is not in the obvious hiding places though it could have become covered even deeper than we looked by sand or by driftwood and rubbish. We doubt that it is there but we have been wrong before.

The actual cache is fine in its hiding place.

Couldn't find a bottle or something at the starting point.
Did a fair bit of research on this cache before leaving so went straight to the most likely spot and found it.

Out and about on the bikes with teamdfl in the Wetlands. An easy one for me as we were running out of time this afternoon, so teamdfl gave me the right co-ords. The numbers counted down nicely, and the cache was a quick find. TFTC, K8'n'Co.

Decided to have a look at this one on my ride home from work. Tried to find the bottle and looked in all the nooks and crannies of the log to no avail. My only option then was to start looking at the 5 possible locations. Found it in two. What a great multi. Love the cache, its a fav for me. TFTC

Some time to spare this afternoon so through we would try to locate this one. Found the first part quickly then on to the final. Hadn't realised it would be so far away to the final. Double checked the co-ords then back in the car to retrace our foot prints from earlier in the day looking for another cache. After a 15min walk from the road we arrived at the GZ. A quick dart into the bush (dodging spider webs) we soon located the cache. Nice to see these container still in use. A great adventure and an interesting walk. Have awarded a favourite.

Sadly we only found orange rope at the first WP. Did this once have a bottle attached? Pls. see attached photo

Spent a good half hour scouring the vicinity for the first bottle. Even digging down deep, tho caches aren't supposed to be buried, but just in case the sand had covered it in at high tide. It seems very mobile terrain there with our recent weather!
Finally our search gave up an empty loop of orange rope, just about the size of a small bottle neck. I do hope this is not what I think it is, however I will post a maintainence log with photo so CO can check and see if it needs attention!

Out on a bike ride with 6 buddies today, and introduced a pal to caching. Smile
I was correct on my estimation of where this was, and it paid off!
Wet feet were gotten for this one, but we got there. Thanks for the cache!

Was in the area and thought I didn't see any bottles today, I think I may be able to take a stab at the location, maybe on Sunday. If not, I'll get to it eventually!
