I thought being a cold windy day I was safe to go searching in long grass however I hadn’t counted on the fact that the wind was howling and freezing cold and my eyes were watering so much I couldn’t see anything so I am just going to leave this as a bluey on my map
No luck today even though we searched widely, moved a lot of objects and long grass.
Great drive on the well maintained road but DNF, was just too scary in the long grass and hidden holes with the geograndie... Might try again another time
The grass was just too long for us to be able to find it this time unfortunately.
Thank you anyway!
Thank you anyway!
We arrived to this geocache just on sunset so we nearly gave up. But other posts said to trust the coords as they would take you to GZ and this advice was accurate. We found the menagerie but had nothing to add to it. Two curious cows kept watch whilst we restored the cache to its proper location. The lights of Leongatha in the distance were very picturesque as we finished up. TFTC TNLN
Slightly awkward to park, but a clever hide and worth the dirt trails to find this one - such a gorgeous are to drive around. Cache is full of appropriately themed swaps. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Camped at Dumbalk after returning from Tasmania. Looking for a few caches in the area today. First for the day. GPS showed 5 meters from GZ, but obvious when spotted. TFTC
Tall grass made it feel a bit "snakey," but eh... the snakes had better things to do. Found and had to run to the car as multiple muggle farmers were out and about. Looks like the animals on the farm have been hanging out for a while. I had none with me to exchange.

Boxing Day - we were able to indulge ourselves, opening a couple of green boxes and collecting the smiley tokens as we headed homeward after a delightful family Christmas celebration at Berry's Creek.
WOW - Close to 12 years on the gameboard - a golden oldie!
Thanks to 'cycliste' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Tricky find and cool container. It was a lovely spot neither a great view. Glad we did this in winter when there wasn’t any snakes hiding under the log pile.
Found with Surefoot24 while I was chatting to granddaughter who had just come back from Cuboree. Lost my pen there I think so next finder should get a good surprise maybe. TFTC
This was my second attempt at his cache and the grass was even longer and wetter today. The coordinates were pretty much spot on when the GPS finally settled. It was my trusty walking pole that was the most effective search tool this time. I just poked around until something sounded different. I went to my knees and cleared the knee high grass from the area and found an interesting cache. the log was signed and we headed on our way. TFTC
The wind and rain rolled in super fast this afternoon while having a look. I wasn't sticking around. But I will be back.
What an epic find this one was after spending 15 minutes searching with a few cuts we went back to the car to give up and move on to the next one while we waited for the group of bikers to pass us i had a quick look threw old logs found something helpful and back out the car we went within seconds i yelled found it never been so excited to find a cache this is only my second cache designed like this and its well worth the trip to come. Cache is still in fantastic condition and still full of farm animals. Tftc
Spent 20 minutes poking and prodding about in the long grass to no avail. Pity.
What a great spot! Unfortunately I think I chose the windiest day of the year to make the find. So windy I thought my bike was going to come off her side stand! Left a cow, took a donkey. Will move the TB along to continue the journey. Tftc!
I had found a couple of trig points already with the kayak strapped on the roof racks, so I probably looked a bit strange parked by the roadside in the lush green hills. I think I took about 20 minutes in total to find the cache, so a GAFF2 find @ 0935.
Cache dry, and intact.
I was going to leave a pair of disposable scissors, but thought against for the COs request. I did however leave a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen, as the pen in there was a bit dodgy - and the coordinates WERE GOOD. Also left: Bonkers, a red trackable duck - hopefully fitting in with the theme.

Out today with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. It was just getting dark when we arrived in this area, so thought we would have a look. A search by torchlight didn't reveal anything, so had to give up. I am sure we will be back.
Took a little while and almost gave up on this one with the long grass... but stumbled upon it almost by accident. Left a racehorse and added to the animal farm! Cute cache.
Took a little while but we found it... took a horse and left a duck. Beautiful spot. TFTC - the Kearneys
Heading from Mt Eccles to Mardan to do some maintenance for GF07, I stopped off here.
After a lengthy search and then a PAF I soon had the cache in hand, the long grass playing havoc with trying to locate this cache.
Thanks cycliste!!!

We decided to take a more scenic route to Foster this weekend and had two attempts on this cache and 2 paf's before finally locating the prize. Cache is still in good condition but area is very green and overgrown. Unfortunately we left a bit of a geotrail, not directly to the cache, more like everywhere except gz. Beautiful views, and a road previously untraveled, even though we lived at Mirboo North for 16 years. Thanks for the adventure cycliste
Found dry and in good order, been over a year since the last visit. Wonder why its been so long it is a great cache, it took a little while to find. TFTC.
Thought it was ground hog day:) Great hide - had us looking hard for a while. Log was damp, so we dried it a bit & placed it in a plastic bag:) SL TFTC cycliste
Would have been nearly impossible to find if not for some of the photos from previous finds. I 'found' it twice before I realised where it was! TNLN
Spent a while looking in the wrong spot for this one, should have trusted my GPS it was right on target.
Found it more by accident than anything else, a very clever and well put together cache.
Thanks cycliste

What a great view from this site. Seaching for caches sure takes us to out of the way places. TNLN, didn't have an animal to place in cache. TFTC cycliste
Tricky find in overgrown very long and thick grass, loved the hide. Left collectible bee eraser. (dont tell Dayna but I literally stumbled over this cache using the the stick poking method, the co-ords were spot on)

Spent quite a bit of time searching here today, but no luck in the overgrown grass. Local drove by with a knowing smile Will have to try again sometime
It's been such a good growing season in South Gippsland this year, some have more that one crop of hay or silage. Finding this cache was not as easy as it would have been in a dry year. Some nosey neighbour slowed to a crawl as they passed our geocachmobile and our 'stop over'. They eventually disappeared up a nearby driveway.
The cache was eventually found exactly where the GPSr was telling us.
TFTC SL Took a Cicada and left a rocking horse.

Found after a "slight" detour from work. The top of this road is where I spent the first two years of my life! Great cache in a pretty spot. TFTC.
Stopped on side of road and a car pulled up beside me and asked me are you looking for something, I said probable the same thing your looking for, they said no we know where it is as we are the owners of the cache so they showed me where it was as I was a little bit out and my gps was going flat. So signed log.It was nice to meet some fellow geo's and after a chat found out that we both live in warragul. Thanks cycliste and kooky sl
found at 3.10pm with Hearse068. What loverly views. Being sort of local to area it is amazing how many nice spots I havent seen. Caching is changing that. T0L1
Found by Miss E after Mrs E and I missed it. No animals in our bag, so no swaps today. Great views although the young lambs were very noisy! TFTH
Found cache at 1230 pm nice spot even on a drizzling rainy day loved the novelty of this cache
Found this one today while cruising a few back roads on the bike. Nice easy find with a view. Creative hide too. L- Camel (they farm those don't they?) Picked up TB
Thanks cycliste for the hide.
Thanks cycliste for the hide.
Our second attempt at this cache. BidVal had to come and help us... Found it within 30 seconds - what a great cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Took: Dog figurine and TB

Great spot! We loved the farm theme, and the chance to go explore along the backroads.
Took Gnome TB, left North geocoin.
Thanks Cycliste and Kooky for a fun cache.

# 3 of 19 for the day. Easy find once the iPhone accuracy settled down. M liked the hide and I liked the view. Left TB took nothing. TFTC. KeMs
Found by Bob at 1830
I was caching my way home after attending an Event in Churchill and had ended up in Mirboo North. This looked like a nice cache to try next, so I told the TomTom to take me there and it did - along some lovely little dirt roads which offered some great views of the surrounding countryside (favourably lit by the late afternoon sun too). Actually, on checking later, Tom really did a pretty good job and I was happy when I found the very "distinctive" cache covering.
TNLN
Thanks cycliste and kooky - a nice bit of work in a nice part of the world .

724. Great drive to this location Views over the valley rolling hills and farms, great exploring the strezlecki's on this one , good cameo too. TNLN TFTC-C&K
Found after some "exploring" at 1625hrs, on a return journey - took "ladybug" on a work related visit to Leongatha. This hide was a very clever little trick as I was concentrating on an item nearby when I saw something "different". Great views of the farms and animals so left a small horse (very small - pony?) to reside here as requested. Took nothing - TFTC.
Had a look at this one because of the DNFs but it is still there and still findable. The grass is a bit of an impediment but the coords are pretty close so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Dnf had a quick look but could not find it, maybe an extra hint would help. We did enjoy the view though.
FlyingPigSquadron has landed!
Lovely views somewhat marred by the driving rain and freezing winds.
A very quick easy find - stepped on it whilst heading for what looked like the obvious spot
Took nothing left sheep to be with her friends!
THFTH and setting this cache
Note: There was no TB & no "nightclub" pig in the cache & no further log entries after Piggy Sue

Found during a stop over while working in the area. I love these off the beaten track caches as I love going on minor roads where I have never been before and would be unlikely to go unless there was a cache to find. The views were fantastic and the cache was visible from the road so I applied a little more black paint to conceal it a little more. Left what I can only describe as a "City NightClub" Pig, hope she realises that a pig should not dress in such a way and that rolling in mud on the farm is much more appropriate.
Dropped off a Sailor TB who hopefully can see the sea on a clear day. He's travelled all the way from the UK and wants to move on fast as I was extremely slack in sending him on his way.

It certainly is a picturesque area around gz and to make it even better the cache was located in the first place we looked. Unfortunately we had no animal swaps so signed the log, left nothing but took in the views
Thanks Cycliste and Kooky for the cache

Visited with Foxzami. Beautiful view down the valley. We took the donkey and cat and left the green dog and the goat.
Found 14:20, another easy find in a very pleasant bucolic location.

#4 of 15 in company with acts2youthgroup on our regular, fortnightly cache escapade. This time it was the Latrobe Valley's turn to be assaulted. We found this one at 1030. We had considered doing this one on our last foray, which was into South-West Gippsland, but it was just too far out of the way. In truth, it was 'out there' for this trip also, but we out it on the list. We had an easy find, and enjoyed some mildly interesting views, but I'm still wondering what is the attraction of this location. [?] I made no exchange. Thanks to Cycliste and Kooky for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Cache # 4 of 15 for the day in the company of daks Emu Mob on our tour of the Latrobe Valley, the cache was found at 10:30. Wow this one sure seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, we had looked at it from the south but decided it was to far so we did it from the north, it was good to finally make it to GZ for the find after navigating the winding roads, there were some nice views along the way.
My thanks to Cycliste and Kooky for the cache.

2007-09-06 14:29 Easy to find on a sunny day. took sheep and T.B.left cat. Regards Crisp Image .
Found by Mary & David at 1250. Having grabbed some delicious lunch from the Thornton Bakery in Leongatha we were ready to brave the freezing weather again. Unfortunately the mist and rain obscured the views. Didn't have any suitable swaps, so TNLN. Our thanks to Cycliste and Kooky.
Easiest find today - it actually stopped raining and that bright stuff is called sunshine I think. Thanks Cycliste and kooky.

2nd Time Lucky! This one we had within a minute of arriving... the 2nd time. GPS was always telling us exactly where it was but for some reason the first time we just plain missed it. Enjoyed this one greatly.

Found at 6.20pm GAFF1. On our way back to our camp at Cape Paterson after a wonderful lunch at our friends' place in Toora. We looked in the difficult spots first and then decided that due to the terrain rating that it shouldn't be that difficult, so we scaled down our search and found the cache just on dusk amidst the mooing of the nearby animals. Hard to put back though! Thanks Cycliste and Kooky, Took: Frisian cow, Left: Walt Disney donkey.
YAY!!!! I FOUND IT! went after work today and found WHERE THE ENT IS first then HAD to try this one again. my first FTF and second attempt at this. GPS was playing around a bit so it took 10 minutes to find. TNLN but thanks goes to CYCLISTE & KOOKY for a great cache. very happy man
had a crack at this after work and thought i would have a ftf to my name. no such luck today. must be well hidden because i tore the place apart. i'll be back for this one for sure.
