Out and about with Barnzy12, catching up on logging from the last 2 weeks. Either as i didn't have reception on phone to load up a cache or didn't have an archived saved list. TFTH TFTC
A nice easy find of the container and the very old swaps
Another archived cache off the list.
Found a bit further down the hill than the GPS suggested

I've recently decided to start hunting down some Archived Caches that are still in situ.
I was in the area today, so I loaded up the Archived Cache filter and spotted this one.
What a great cache here. In great condition after a bit of maintenance from previous finders. What a fantastic spot.
TFTC Aushiker.

Jinta29 and I decided a venture out this morning. Neither of us had cached this area so time to add some smileys.
Another archived we were hunting for but didn't hold hope.
At GZ, we found a likely hide and then the burnt out remain of cache contents. Including the old lid.
We have put this into a new container so archived hunters can come get it
Have you logged your WILL ATTEND for WA GOES BIG in 2016 ?
I have and am looking forward to seeing as many of you in Pinjarra on the WA Day long weekend.
Log you will attend at GC5YAGP

We found a lot of the original contents to this one. We gathered up what we could find and replaced the container and log book
I have been quite actively seeking out archived caches lately as it is quite a thrill to find caches that are off the radar! This was one that was handy to the area I was in and I thought I would have a wee look to see if I could find it. Yep, still there and able to be signed. WOOHOO! .

Unlikely to get back to replace it in the foreseeable future so it can be archived.
Found it in the open sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it has been trashed very badly. Will e-mail the owner with details.
yep! Found it, Varuna found it before me! I love this area so beautiful - relax!!. TNLNSL. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
Enjoyed walking in the hills for a change - accompanying Everlasting. It took us more than 15 mins to find the cache. It was 12~15m from GZ (compared with our GPSr). No swaps. We enjoyed looking at the surrounding beautiful forest. Thanks to Aushiker for the beauitful location and cache.
Found during a brief break between showers.
The lid wasn't on the container, which was half full of water. I dried off everything possible, but all the paper and cardboard stuff was ruined so I discarded it. The logbook was okay as it was in a separate bag.
LCC, TN, L dinosaur.
Grabbed Sumatran Elephant Geocoin.
The rain started bucketing down on the way back to the car, and I got completely soaked, putting an end to the days hunting.

Found whilst on a cache-hunting expedition in the area. Decided to take a more 'scenic' route from the gully. Bush a bit thicker than I expected. Of course once I got to GZ I noticed a track nearby which I took on my way down. #1 of 3 found today.
Found this one after walking over from Alice Cooper and Gully Walk took a little while to find but then I found it about 8 m away from where my gps said it was.
I have posted my co-ords with my log but it really is in the spot that you would think it is when you first get here, just farther afield.
Took nothing
left Elephas bug.
Thanks, nice walking around here.

Easy to find once there but quite difficult to get there. Must have come from the wrong direction. Took the travel-bug, will be going back to New Zealand on Sunday.
Very pretty area to walk through. Will definitely come back here again for a more extensive exploration.
Must have just missed R0gue on this one.
Shonalea picked up the Anniversary geocoin and I dropped off the Golden Flutter Bug TB
TFTC!

A nice walk in, I took advantage of one of the closer parking spots, having gotten my exercise on the "Terrace Walk" today already.
Took nothing, left the Anniversay GC. T4TH

enjoyed the long walk and did a few other caches along the way. good photo chance
A great afternoon for a stroll in the woods! The Jacks loved fossicking along the edge of the tracks plenty of different smells from those up north. I was joined on the hunt by a member of the TravelOz team, we treked up to the cache from another ? nearby? one. The cache was found easily after a few scratches in the last couple of metres. All part of the game though.
Had a nice walk in and as usual my GPSr played up but there was an obvious spot for it to be.Swapped the geocoins and left a TB.

My original co-ordinates led me perilously close to my "Lost Treasure Trove" cache but even with alarm bells ringing I still spent 20 minutes searching and getting scratched for my troubles before checking what co-ordinates I had actually entered into the old GPSr.
My miskeying identified I retraced my steps and found the cache within seconds of arriving at GZ.
Took: Laminating pouches
Left: "Robots" lanyard
Dropped off: "Henry Wadsworth Lonfellow" GC
Picked up: "The Missing Key" TB

A suitable name, as there's lots of green leaves around on this slope, even if the ground cover's a bit dry.
The GPSr led me a little past the spot, but then discovered that there were, in fact, more than 4 satts in the sky and settled down a bit. A handy kangaroo track led me in the right direction, and the feature which seemed likely to be the hiding spot wasn't hard to see on approach!
I won't confirm or deny that the feature was the right place, but the cache was quickly found anyway.
Woohoo! My first Aushiker FTF prize (Alice didn't have one!)
I was planning to leave a STF prize, but I'd apparently neglected to put on in my backpack. Ah, well, no matter. If you want one, there's one in "Alice Cooper" at time of logging! I left some cold laminaters instead, handy for those off-the-cuff FTF cards.
A sit and a drink, then off home, just up the road a bit.
