Myself and my partner spent a good hour searching for this one, our first DNF goodluck!
Another reason to wear shoes rather than sandals is the sand is very hot at this time of year. A nice short walk to the cache. TFTC
[@Davidwazza](http://coord.info/PR61VZX) and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday in the infamous black jeep. We took a route through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuṯa (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges, before heading home in a more direct route through Palm Valley, Owen Springs Reserve, Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia, and finally Coober Pedy.
Today, we continued our trip, completing some caches around Roxby Downs and visiting Andamooka before heading up past Olympic Dam, and the joining the Oodnadatta track. Making a few stops along the way we set up camp in Coward Springs, of course enjoying the natural springs!
Found a cache under some rocks in a bush! Nice view of Andamooka

Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges. It was then time to turn around to head to South Australia, and in doing so, we visited the Palm Valley, and made the 4WD detour through Owen Springs Reserve (an excellent shortcut that wasn’t too technically difficult), calling into the Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia. Our final stop was Coober Pedy, and we really enjoyed checking out the various dugouts and mines.
Today, we continued our outback trip travelling from Roxby Downs to Coward Springs. We started off the day with a breakfast event, and then after checking out the visitor’s centre, headed to Andamooka to see some interesting opal sights, glass bottle house, and old mining pub. From there, we briefly saw Olympic Dam, before heading north to join the Oodnadatta Track. We visited Lake Eyre South, some ruins and the old Ghan’s bridges, and a few mound springs.
This cache was a bit of a walk to not get to too much. Perhaps it was because we didn't come at the time of sunset, but rather late morning? Anyway, after a bit of hunting around, the cache was found. The cache container and logbook were in good shape today. Thanks bush campbells for placing the cache and its ongoing maintenance.

Our journey towards Quorn for the SA June Long Weekend continues.
Staying in Woomera to explore the region, today we visited Roxby Downs and Andamooka. An eventful day for us with Mr F losing a fight with a dead tree and also losing our GPSr (subsequently found by some nice caravanning folk)

Met another cacher couple. So nice to meet you and share the walk. Thank you for the cache bush campbells.
Another weekend trip that was schemed up with Dr Owl when I found out I was living in Pt Augusta for a short while. The aim of the weekend was to find caches in two LGA areas we'd never previously visited/geocached and to play tourist. This was new territory for Dr Owl and ages since I'd visited parts of it. Needless to say the goals and much more were achieved along side serious laughs and serious discussions. This was an absolutely awesome weekend. We oohed and aahed at the scenery, meet some wonderful friendly people and interesting characters and enjoyed some unique experiences along the way.
The broken container was easily located and then replaced. While waiting for the owl to return I picked up all the pieces I could find then sat back t enjoy the views.
Thanks for the cache bush campbells.

An Owl and a Fish went for a walk to find a cache. Then Owl went back to the owlmobile for a container to replace the broken one. Then walked back to the cache. A bit hard on a poor old bird with a very bad cold. (But they found the smilie!) Didn't have time to wait for the sunset, unfortunately.
It was 1:00pm, so far too early to wait until sunset (plus we have a booking for dinner back in Woomera tonight) .
Looked around for a very long time before Mrs DISK made the find [^] of the badly disintegrating container (see pic) .
TNLNSL.
Unfortunately, we had nothing anywhere near big enough to replace it with, so hopefully someone else will be able to help with a new container, since the CO is no longer active [?].
Thanks Bush campbells.

Cache container is almost reduced to a pile of broken plastic and desperately needs replacing. Surprisingly, log book id still quite dry and functional, although not for much longer I suspect. TFTC
03.11.17 tftc quick spot, the cache is very brittle, didn’t have a replacement sorry
As we made our way through the outback finding caches and having a great time
we found a range of caches some day with Team Cracker, Felix II and firesafe on the way home.
Thanks to bush campbells for placing the cache for us to find.

TFTC 2513# So many caravans on the road all heading north we are heading south and it is getting a little colder each day could not get a powered site for the night at Woomera but did do the washing in the morning now on our way to Roxby Downs for 2 nights great caravan park at Roxby downs out to Andamooka for a look great place
We walked from the rest area. The cache needs a new container the lid is broken and the log was wet. Picked up Desert Devil TB.
After the DNF, I was a little worried. Alas, whilst I was looking for clues, geohaze came up with the good. Cache is alive and well. TFTC
Spent about 15 mins looking for this one, but no luck, the GPS may have been playing up a bit. Will try again next time we are in the mooka
Toured the Woomera - Roxby Downs area today and found a cache or two. This was one of them. TFTC
Found with Mohammad during a visit to Andamooka. Enjoyed the brisk walk across the dunes and a nice view of the town. Thanks for the cache bush campbells!
Found on a little walk before sunset. I am still amazed people live out here! SL TFTC
Stopped for a view of town on our way in.
Trudged up the dune and admired the view before finding the well hidden cache.

After dropping off our caravan in the Roxby Caravan Park Mrs one-eyed & I headed off to Andamoonka for an afternoons caching.
What a facinating area similar to Coober Pedy but not as structured.
Lovely earthly colours in the dunes to the west of the town .

Nice little drive / hike for a sunny day of caching. Expanded our search area by a few metres & soon found the cache. TFTH
After completing our 2nd trip around Australia, we are now heading towards Alice Springs.
Left the caravan at Pimba road house, and headed for Roxby Downs and beyond.
Easy walk up the sand dune, to find a nice big cache. Good views over the town.
T: pathtag, L: horse.
Many thanks for the hunt today, bush campbells.

The cache container here has been replaced by someone, so all is good here and the cache owner should remove the needs maintenance flag. Interesting walk up to this cache, seeing all sorts of wildlife sign on the ground - dingos, roos, and some kind of giant lizard (foot prints, and tail dragging). Anyway, quick find at GZ and then back to the car - don't actually want to encounter that lizard (mind you, I've come face to face with a >2m long goanna before, at Springbrook in QLD). Found on our Adelaide to Murray Bridge via Uluru road trip for Oz Mega 2014. TFTC!!!
I was headed up to Port Augusta for a kayak event but somehow afterwards I forgot to stop driving.
1,700kms later and after 83 smileys including 1 FTF were locus cache'd, 1 event attended and sadly 7 DNFs and a dead roo, I arrived back home with both the camera and the phone full of pictures of this amazing country in which we live .
A nice walk into the cache and yes, the views are great!
I had no kids, no sunset and lots of flies but still had fun

Nice spot! Found container to be in a poor state with its lid missing and sun damage etc. lucky it hardly ever rains here. Replaced it with a new lunch box size systema container and did my best to shield it from the sun but not make it to hidden. Happy days..
No sunset this morning but a nice walk amongst the wildflowers and spotted our first lizard for the sesason TFTC
Not quite sunset & no kids to bring along for the fun experience so we had all the fun to ourselves. Plastic bag still doing it's job - just about.
Firstly I need to apologise for the largely generic log.
A friend was in town and wanted a trip north, I had some leave so a short road trip was thought to be a good idea. As we are both cachers, a few caches were definitely in order. We cached on four of the five days away. The last day we needed to get back to town so we had to use discipline and drove past all of the caches on the way home.
Day one. Adelaide to Port Augusta. 26 finds, 1 DNF.
Day two. Port Augusta to Coober Pedy. 10 finds, 1 DNF.
Day Three. Coober Pedy. 8 finds and Ill see what happens with the Earth Cache.
Day Four. Coober Pedy to Woomera, Roxby Downs and Andamooka. 9 finds. Left a lot for next time.
Day Five. Straight back to Adelaide. No caching.
All in all a fun trip that was more than just caching but caching was a fun part of the trip.

Heading back to Roxby, we pulled over and made the dash to this one.
As per previous logs, its in need of some TLC. Maybe a future visitor could bring a new container.
A 500ml sistema would be ideal.
Signed the log TNLN. didnt want to open the bag too much.

This was our 2nd cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 14:34.
(So this is our 4483rd total find.)
A nice quick find. Unfortunately sunset is quite a few hours away, so we had to be content with Andamooka views.
Took: Nothing
Left: Air Freshener

Well, don't know what happened with us...perhaps it was the middle of the day and the sun got to us or because we had no kids with us! Search though we did we could not find it so had to leave deflated. Off to cross the Simpson Desert, it surely won't elude us! Thanks anyway!
Just love this burnt orange sand. And wonder at how anything grows in it. A quick find. Left a beetles fridge magnet peg. Took nothing. Thanks.
Found it! Took a while and had to rummage through the bushes! Cache has been placed in a new container since last log. Took nothing, left nothing. Lots of goodies for kids!
