Checked the site and the cache is gone. With zero finds on the replaced container I think it might be time to archive this one.

I'll leave it disabled for a week to let peoples GSAK update.

09-Apr-10
Looked all over the tree and couldn't find the container, has it been muggled in the past 3 months?

04-Jan-10
Cache was indeed gone. I have replaced the cache. Actually I have returned the original container, which I pulled out ages ago as it had collected some moisture. I've also returned the swaps that came out at the same time.

New log book is in place, but no pen.

Despite all the activity of the bike racing over the next few days, it should still be possible to find the cache with out to much worry from muggles.

04-Jan-10
Got to GZ today and found lid to cache on ground under a tree. We assume the cache has been muggled. We were unable to locate any other parts of the cache after a quick search of the area.

03-Jan-10
I'll pop down and check it out. Thanks for letting me know.

Nice spot for a cache. I wonder that no muggles find it. ...then again, who'd go rooting around in sticks and leaves?
I didn't sign the log because there was no pen.

We found our 3rd Round Circle cache at 12:20pm as the 14th of 40 on our Ballaratatattat Tour V in company of Backpaqer. I really like the set up of the clues. We had to wait out a passing family before we could go for the cache. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.

16-Jul-09
A few visitors in the park but except for a lunchtime invasion by a mob of school kids and their keepers, nothing to hamper the final search. A nice easy find after the figures were collated. Many thanks for a straightforward little multi in a very pleasant surrounding.

5th find of the caching run, and 2041st total find at 13:06.

We initially headed off to the wrong map, but our error was soon corrected and we were off to seek some gold. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk - goodness knows we need the exercise!!

Took: Nothing

Thanks Geo_Ferret & RoundCircle for the cache.

13-Apr-09
I found this cache with MrSnoop at 16.40pm on our way home from Ballarat. We often drive past this lovely little Park but usually just stop for a toilet stop. This time it was great to stretch the legs a little. Thanks for the cache.

We were stumped for a little while at the final location, but found after some dogged searching.

The Buninyong festival was on today so after I'd eaten my fill of fast food and icecream and perused all of the attractions I waded through the thousand or more muggles in the park to a spot just near the Ballarat stationary engine club display. Here I displayed great stealth in retrieving and returning the cache. Then I faded back into the crowds.

Found today with Neilo at 8:30am, great park and nice walk. Found easy and cache was wet. I logged visit as Neilo dryed cache and items. ( Log book was dry ) Thanks Geo_Ferret & Roundcircle.

An interesting, and different, type of start for a multi lead me to a wet cache. I dried everything as much as possible before coming to the attention of a geomut.

Found by Mary & David at 1535. We've been past here countless times but this time we had an excuse to stop. Had no idea that Henry was such a colourful character, or how big the park is. Enjoyed the short walk in lovely sunshine, and accessed the cache easily between passing muggles. Our thanks to Geo_Ferret & RoundCircle.

Found at 1.40pm GAFF1. Great story and well researched. We enjoyed doing this cache and the final location was quite interesting as well. We spotted a very rare Furphy water cart in one of the houses along the way as well. Thanks Geo_Ferret & RoundCircle.

this was our 5th find for the day. Wow what a popular little spot this is. Plenty of muggles here today acted like tourists at gz did the maths and the cache was soon in hand.

I had stopped for lunch and found that my Palm Pilot had gone on the blink so I had lost all my cache info - almost! Fortunately I still had some paper from my last visit here about 8 months ago and this was one. Clues found easily and the cache found in a good hide. Thanks for the walk, Geoferret and Roundcircle.

02-Apr-08
Great research on this one, I read the cache page with great interest. I was also surprised to see how large this park was as well and there are certainly plenty of things in it for the locals to use. I collected the info and headed off to the cache where it was found after bit of a search, nice effort on the camo.

Cheers,

R - B

A nice little park, that was quite buzy today. We collected all the information, and then the multi took us away from all the muggles.
Thanks, Robmc.

I come to the Carols by Candlelight in this park every year!

Took the dogs for a quick walk and picked this up easily at 6:05pm.

14-Mar-08
Found at 0040. After parking in front of the first WP, picked up the info and set off for a late night stroll through the park. This evening was incredibly windy, so it felt like the trees had come to life. It really added to the nighttime ambiance.

We pulled up here at this interesting little park and collected the required information and headed off for a pleasant stroll to gz. Although it was a warm day there were very few muggles around which surprised us but made for an easy find.
We took the coin and left Australian magnet
Thanks Geo_Ferret & Round Circle for the cache

Found today by Mr Emu & Demon Boy @ 11.40 a.m., GAFF1 http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GAFF . No. 5 of 25 on our "return to Ballarat" day, our biggest caching day so far.

We enjoyed visiting this interesting park. It turned out to be much bigger than it at first appeared, and had seemingly staged some sort of event recently. All quiet this morning though. Very nice camo job on the cache container.

Thanks for the cache. Took: Nil; Left: Nil

This town is really very pretty, and it has not lost any of its old world charm!!
The clues were easy to find, the walk to GZ was lovely and the co-ords were exact!!!
All in all, a great experience, the Geokids even had a play on the play ground!!
We even spoke to the cache owners at another cache only 30 minutes before!!
Find # 336. Found @ 3.10pm. TNLNSL

Happy Australia Day Roundcircle and GeoFerret.
Deano was the only one within range of the email this morning, so headed out solo for the FTF.
I had been to De Soza park before, but never realized how far back from the street it actually went.
A very lovely, well looked after park, perfect for a cache.
As with any Rouncircle cache, there is a tick in every box: Historical/Local significance, well thought out placement and matching a container to suit it's environment.
The cleverly shaped FTF certificate was a nice touch too.
Grabbed Thongs TB (cant get much more aussie than that!)
Thanks again guys.
