Im here in Australia visiting from the US. Decided to venture to the Blue Mountains today and Scenic World. Gave the area at the rock and around it a good look but came up empty. Its a very foggy morning here so couldnt see the view unfortunately.
Found it with mooncrystal. TFTC. It was a beautiful day and a great view of the 3 Sisters.
Found with the Geogeos before we started our hike to Echo point. Left a TB. TFTC!
Quick find on a return to the mountains and the geo-in-laws... Turns out they'd already found it! Let them continue on while we did the necessary investigation.Should it have the usual geocaching info sheet, since maintenance? (thanks for doing btw)It's currently only got the one log sheet.
This was just difficult enough to be interesting to our 7 year old. Thanks you very much.
Found quickly after spending the day on the cliff tracks tftc, greetings from Austria
DJ Quigglestick had his hands on this one first. Amazing views for such a short walk. Tftc!
I walked down today and moved the mis-placed container to its proper place, at one of the most beautiful lookouts in the Blue Mountains!
Greetings from Wales. After a few days in Sydney we have moved onto the Blue Mountains but blimey it ain't half cold up here. Today we first visited Echo Point and then spent the day at the Scenic Railway which was really good fun. After a day at the Scenic Railway the family went for a poke about in Leura while I went to grab a few extra caches.A great location for a cache but it isn't where it should be. Looks like it has been moved as I found it on the floor of the picnic shelter not near the big rock. After signing I left in the corner of the shelter. Thanks for the cache.
I'll try to get down to GZ tomorrow and replace the cache near the 'Big Rock' closer to the lookout.
Was visiting the lookout and found geocache sitting at the shelter. I think itll need to be hidden again as I dont know where its supposed to be
Returning from the Grand Canyon hike we stopped into here to see the view. Five out five stars for the view and placing a cache! Thank you!
Found it under cover of a dense fog. Then we were greeted to the views of Mount Solitary floating above the white clouds. It felt like being on top of the world. Awesome start to the day. TFTC
Found with the fabulous Carlo Turcos while visiting the Blue Mountains. We have had a great week talking and drinking too much!
Hard slog to retrieve the cache. Got some interest from tourist Muggles enjoying the spot! TFTC
A quick find on a cold clear morning, with spectacular views. Thanks for the cache pjmpjm
Find #: 3,558Companions: NoneMuggles: A few aroundWeather: Pleasant autumn afternoonCache condition: GoodAfter running the UTA22 and having lunch with family in Leura I decided to visit this lookout. Wow, beautiful! (and, good to see where I had run earlier in the day, some 800m below). There were some muggles sitting on the rock when I first arrived, but they had gone by the time I returned from the lookout proper, and it was then a quick find - TNLNSL. Thanks, top spot.
Found. With the hint, the container was quickly in my hands. Well done. Thanks for the cache
April 17, 2024 11:09SUBLIMEWhat an amazing view!TFTC pjmpjm, this is find #103 for me. Aza34
I made the drive over to where the trail began and there wasn't anyone around, yet. I love when I get up early and "beat the rush." LOLThis took me a minute because I chose the wrong side first. I mean, that happens sometimes, right? For some reason, it happens to me more than other cachers. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:Last night I saw an amazing sunset and was ready to spend the day in the Blue Mountains. I had a a lot of fun caching and sightseeing and getting PLENTY of steps in. What a great way to spend this leg of my journey north along the east coast of Australia from the U.S. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but know that I appreciate you.
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Ll.sq
Last one before heading back home. Another marvellous site with breathtaking views. Have fallen in love with the Blue Mountains these last few days . Tftc & fp!
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.A fantastically beautiful and interesting boulder lying here almost on the precipice.... And an insanely cool view of the imposing rock faces and the seemingly endless eucalyptus forest....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
Found while away for our 20th wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful place and an amazing view. TFTC!
Trotz dichtem Nebel schnell gefunden. Auf eine schne Aus- und Weitsicht mussten wir heute aber leider verzichten. Danke trotzdem!
Thanks for this cache. This beats any lookout at scenic world by far. Had to wait for a smuggle to get off the rock
A M A Z I N G V I E W!!! i want to stay here forever and ever. small lightning scare but noone got struck so it was fine TFTC, best lookout in the blue mountains
To think I was so silly to mistime this one and miss sunset and even sillier to miss it completely maybe without the lure of all these fave points!! ImGoing to have to revisit it soon, but really spewing with the weather looking like turning glum tomo and the mountains often clouded in I really hope it turns it on for us before we have to leave! This lookout is impressive
wow, what a location!! i reckon the views here are even better than at echo point! i can see more of the topography of the jamison valley. where the rivers clearly are winding their way through the valleys floor, is that blackheath and accompanying ridge line over on the left? a great view of mt solitary, a reverse three sisters, some fantastic sandstone formations at and near gz, a whole lot less people. so many ticked boxes leads to a clear favourite point for taking me here.i can see why it's your favourite cache, and what a cache to start on too. wow, its mostly downhill from here. thank you so much for keeping this one alive here. i see you've replaced it a good few times. its viewpoints like this that make me realise i need/want a better camera. attempted a panoramic to try and do justice to the wide open expanse before me. worth a try at least. thank you.
New container. Please remember that you don't need to go near the edge of the cliff.
Muggled. Placed a new cache. Remember that you don't have to go near the edge of the cliff to find it.
The Martin’s were tourists for the day showing a member of the SA Cousins some sites, found in a quite open position and returned a bit more hidden, thanks
Tftc, sat right next to it before realising opening the app and realising I was near a cache. Also mind your head.
Scratching around for a bit until I read some of the earlier posts. TFTC!
Given the container size, low difficulty rating and no apparent need for a specific hint about the hiding spot, I expected things to be quite straighforward, But, all I could do was change the icon to a blue frownie.
Spent more time looking at the view rather than for the cache
Thanks for the view
Thanks for the view
Checked cache this afternoon and all is well. Please don't go near the edge of the cliff (unless you want to) . . . the cache isn't there. You can grab it in complete safety.
No joy today, had some peaceful muggle-free time to poke around gz. Loved the views here
I missed out on finding this one today but very much enjoyed the lookout and views.
I searched all around where I thought it should be with the hint in mind- every nook and cranny and in area adjacent- but I just couldn’t see it today.
A good excuse to come back another time. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely spot!
