I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi xaria
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I asked the man working in the garden after the flood and he suggested the cache had gone, nothing found.
Day 1 on the Otago Rail Trail from Clyde to Omakau. This was supposed to be our lunch stop but we were making good progress so stopped for morning tea instead. Not too many muggles around this morning so we could search without any concerns. Took a while to find this one as it had been pushed in quite a way. While trying to reach the cache MrsJAG scared a rabbit who had been hiding under the structure. Not sure who got the biggest fright!
A good excuse to stop on our cycle trip. Lots of people about enjoying a sunny Saturday afternoon. TFTC
Lovely historic place to have a late lunch after walking from Alexandra on the rail trail. Lots of muggles all around so needed to be quick when searching. Left 2 TBs.
Cache all dry, signed and returned as found. TFTC

Found with KNCN on a fun caching afternoon, on the way home last for the day tftc
Cool wee buildings and history, and delicious hot chips! The cache was a little hard to find tftc
Found with StreetWalker on a big day, starting in Duntroon at about 8:30am, and finishing in Clyde, via Danseys Pass, nine hours and 62 caches later . A fantastic trip with great views and interesting places.
Another lovely old hotel, and a rather basic PO! SW made the find in a location I had already searched. It's been a loooong day. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

For our NZ visit we created a "wishful-thinking-to-do-list" ... knowing we can not do them all but we can at least try. Old caches, earth, virtual and webcam are on the top of our list... but also some traditionals, multi etc...
Today on our way to Dunedin and decided to stop for some caches along the road as we calculated that we should not have much time left considering the travel distance for today...
Very nice spot...finding the cache was a little more difficult...

Had a nice lunch in the pub then a quick search and back on the rail trail tftc
Found without too much trouble after a great ride from Clyde.

Taking my time reposting myself to my home address travelling through the Pig Route! Good timing here, as shortly after I found and replaced the cache, a group decided the nearby table would be best to enjoy their morning beer! TFTC!!
On our 5th day in New Zealand we drove from Dunedin to Wanaka. On this route we passed by at this old little beauty. Great to have such old treasures around and well maintained. We gladly leave an FP for this location. We had to search a bit but in the end could find the box well. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland
Zusammen mit apaspa die Cachetour von Dunedin nach Wanaka gemacht. Die historische Poststelle mit alten Einrichtungen war sehr interessant. TFTC
A quiet frosty morning in Central Otago. No muggles around. It took a bit but we found it. Nice to know our local pub has a geocache. Here regularly and didn’t realise it. Very cool. Pop in for great food and drink. And I took the photos on the postcards if you’re keen to buy one lots of fun. Tftc!
Nice weather for a drive to Alex and a bit beyond today. Had a double purpose in mind when at GZ. What a lovely old building, and the pictures inside. Great! Cache soon found outside as described in good condition,. and then we visited the old dredge remains out the back. A very curious and friendly cattle beast got in the way a bit(must have been hand-reared?).
Thanks for an interesting location.
Thanks for an interesting location.
2 days ago I was so wrapped up in my preparation for a Mountain bike Orienteering event to be held on the farmland just across the rail trail from the pub that I never bothered looking at my gps to see where the nearest geocache was. In fact, I even had lunch whilst sitting at a table <10m from the cache. [B)] So today, as I headed north from Alexandra I stopped by and righted that wrong. Interesting little Post Office. Thanks for the placement xaria.
Day 1. In central Otago to bike the world famous Otago rail trail with family. I would highly recommend doing this ride to everyone we had a fantastic time. We didn't collect all the caches along the way but I think we will be back one day to sign the rest. Five days off stunning views tunnels, viaducts, and all the history as well. Thank you for all the caches we did find along the trail it has been a most interesting journey. Had a lovely lunch here
Stopped off at the Chatto Creek Tavern after a big morning of cycling. Our itineraries warned us not to eat a big meal as we'd be on our largest (But still minor) incline straight after. Instead we settled for a cider and a cache. There was a group of muggles sitting right near GZ so I kept my eye on them, and when they finished we jumped up and moved to their table so we could have room to search. Geomum found the location first, but I was the one who came up with the goods. A really fascinating place! Incredible to think one woman worked there the majority of her life and the post office's life - tftc!
This took far longer than it should of to find thanks to previous finders...it had been pushed back far longer than an arm length and was quite a challenge to extract ....mainly not enough room to crawl under Lol any way all ended well when we pushed the skinniest person under and then extracted them by pulling out by the feet lol ...thanks Zaria for the placement ...certainly lots of history here
This took ages to find even with a group of us. Hunted before lunch then had another go after. Found in the end by reaching a lot further in and a bit of contorsion. Thanks for the placement xaria
The fourth find (& the most tricky) of 5 on our second last day of our holiday, TFTC!!
Many people where enjoying a stop here so it took quite a while to find. Even with no muggles around I don't think that it would have been straight forward.
Woke up in my stone cottage Airbnb in Ocean Grove to find that it had yet again rained overnight. But the dawn was crisp and clear so another day to look forward to with dry shoes and socks. If it carries on like this, I would have packed extra shoes and my wet weather gear for nothing. But I’m not complaining, I’m utterly sick of all the rain we have had over winter in the Manawatu.
Heading from Dunedin through the Pig Root to Alexandra for the day. Very excited, I did spend a lot of time driving this route when I lived in Oamaru and it is one of my favourite parts of the country.
An excellent post office - I haven't seen this before, despite stopping at this pub in the past. Dropped a trackable. TFTC

I love how they have kept the history of this quaint building within the framework. It is always good to see just how the early settlers had to deal with these day to day things that we take for granted. Most impressed and thanks for placing the cache.
Day 2 of my Oamaru GeoFest week. Alexandra to Naseby today. Only about an hour ... Without stopping!
Quick find here. Love these old places and was surprised to see I could still post a letter.
Something sticky has been in the cache, so had time and supplies to clean it out. New bag and clean container for the next finder.
Thanks for the smilie.

A nice finded on my way past after spending the day working in central Otago this was my Friday night out for tea stop good memory tftc
Heading home over the Pigroot and for once there was no one in the carpark so we stopped for a look around. J & R were more interested in feeding Henry and Honkey so K got down low and cache was soon in hand. Dropped off a TB. TFTC
Seems my lack of geocaching lately is leading towards my non-awareness of finding caches. I searched the obvious area and gave up, then uselessly searched elsewhere for a while, returned to my initial search area only to find it exactly where I initially thought it would be. A good cache in the end and at a very fitting spot for me, as recently we have gotten careers in the NZ postal industry. TFTC xaria
rustynz tells me I need to catch up with all my logging
This was when we were in the South Island, doing the Otago cycle rail trail.
Sorry for the generic logs. But thank you to all the CO for the hides and the maintenance on all your caches.

With rebel98, we at last caught up with our muggle friends, who promptly took off whilst we looked for the cache. It was a quick look around the pictures in the pub. Then time to find the cache.
rebel with a bit of a reach soon had the cache, and the log was signed. Thanks for the hide

A welcome glass of beer and this very convenient stopping point. We are just starting our Rail Trail journey at this stage (but a little late in logging) thanks for the cache.
Yes, it's still there. Found it on a rainy afternoon after stopping for a nice lunch while cycling the Otago trail

No, this one eluded me today. I had plenty of time as we stopped here for lunch but just wasn't happening for me. Is it still here?
Second day on the railtrack so we have to log some caches along this way! This was a nice one.

From Melbourne and doing a tiki tour of the South Island after visiting family in Nelson. Grabbing a few caches on our travels. TFTC.
Travelling around the South Island.
Looking at our wonderful home land.
Weather has been improving every day. Wonderful to travel. Took a while to find . Muggles were too busy eating and drinking to notice.

Unfortunately we didn't find this one. Not many muggles around and so we could search without disturbing but no luck

An excellent place of unique history. Took a bit to find, but thankfully got it before the darkness took over. Last cache for the day.
Great day to stop at Chatto Creek. You'll need to look hard for this one! TFTC =)
Second time I've searched for this one but still cant find it. Frustrating!
As other logs state. Didn't put back in correct place. Unable to find. Very dissapointing
We had fun exploring this old post office. Couldn't find the cache, then read the previous logs saying that it isn't hidden in the hint location anymore. No idea how far we would have to search to find it & this is a busy spot, so we gave up at that point.
Great spot here for this cache. Came here once before but there were lots of muggles around so I left it. But today it was a bit quiter so I thought today is my day and it was. TFTC ☺

Eleventh find of the day!
We were out today, driving around the South Island. This was the eleventh cache we found.
We found the best point of entry from where we were and went off to GZ. We soon arrived at GZ. We looked around, not there, not in here, before... There it is! I quickly retrieved the cache, signed the log book and replaced it as I found it.
Thanks for the nice easy cache.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Coordinates were accurate and cache and contents were in good condition.
Well done.

Parked up at the pub for Sunday stoll down the trail looked in the obvious places with no luck . Had no signal so couldn't read previous logs so headed down the track . Once I had signal and a few caches under the belt I had a better idea of where it wasn't. And located it lots of muggles around so was unable to place where the hint suggests. Being a part time postie myself was quite a cool place. Tftc
Cool spot someone needs to put it back in the right spot. We were a bit late to do that.
Quick find while out riding on the rail trail, after a quick stop for refreshments, thanks
VERY hot start to our cycling adventure. This spot was a welcome oasis as we'd run out of water! Very easy find . And an interesting site - TFTC
