Thank you so much to JJ and KT for organising such a wonderful day. I had a great time. I am only just starting out and it is loads of fun. I have a long way to go to be as experienced as most. I can see just how addictive geocaching can be.
Cheers,
Betty

Well...Red Facewhat can i say.......Red FaceRed Face i was..um..just a little late [|)][B)], and a lot seedy[xx(]. ok...nuf said, moving right along...Smile

Firstly
If it was not for Katie's encouragment throughout the morning and the day i dont think the cache would have turned out as enjoyable for me as it did.[:X][:X]

Secondly
I would like to thank everyone that showed and helped this event surpass our (and hopefully everyones) expectationsBig Grin. A major reason why this event turned out as great as it did, was everyone's enthusiasm on the dayBig Grin
Again thank you all.

Lastly,
I would like to thank Maski (Gerry) for the unexpectedSurprisedSurprised gift of appreciation.

Pictures that i snapped through out the day will be posted in the gallery Wink in the next few days (i would have loved to get some more of different teams making discoveries). MAYBE NEXT TIME!!!Wink

Thanks everyone.Cool

10-Mar-07
thanks guys - well organised event - and I am sure everyone appreciated the effort you guys put into the day, as well as feeding and watering everyone ... if only JJ had taken on some more water Big Grin

Would have loved to have been around a bit longer, but some other lowlifes ensured I had a late start, and other commitments made it difficult to stay much longer. Good to catch up with some old faces, and meet some new local cachers ... bonus ... there are still a few caches left to find close to home. cheers Dan

I used this day as a systems check for my big trip coming up in just over a weeks time. With the bike fitted with all my nav gear, and the PDA loaded full of music, I headed off via a new cache at Calliope River.
A great day was had, with all 7 caches found at the event, and an additional 3 in transit. And, I fixed a problem or 2 on the bike. So win, win all round. Great to catch up with other CQ cachers and meet some new ones as well.
Cheers go to Jeremy and Kate for doing all the organising, of the caches and the tucker.

Cheers

Well, i can say that i have just arrived home at 1930hrs from a very enjoyable and successful event. All up i enjoyed tripping around Mount Morgan and surrounds, though i noticed i have only travelled 903kms today Surprised

Thanks to Jeremy and Kate for organising the event, suppyling some tucker, especially after it looked like half the team couldn't handle late nights Razz

I'm aiming to get back to finish of the rest of the caches before i leave for the big smoke, as i enjoyed the day's hunt.

Thanks again guys.....and it was nice to catch up with old and new cachers alike.

Jeremy and Kate you guys did a great job setting up all those cache's.. Mum (ausbettsee47) and I I think were the last ones to finish today.. But we had a great time.. Next time I'll be wearing long sleeves and a mexican hat if I can find one. Talk about cooked lobster. It was nice to finally meet some geocachers and put faces to names...

All the family had an excellent day touring around Mount Morgan. You guys did an excellent job in organising the event and putting on a BBQ lunch for everyone. It was also good to catch up with old and new teams in the area.

Looks like its only going to be me there on Saturday. Going to use it as a trial run for an extended trip away down south in a couple of weeks time, so will come up on the bike. I have a couple of trackables to come up as well.

06-Mar-07
hi K + D
it ends when you've had enough. lunch will be around 12-12:30 (providing i can get the BBQ's going, if any one has a tommohawk axe, can you brging it along, as i dont have one and it will save me buying one to cut up some kindling)

if you dont find them all before you need to head back to glady in the arvo, they will always be there for future caching expeditions Smile

least you'll have had a good day out Cool

06-Mar-07

02-Mar-07
OK...now this is looking like its going to shape up to be a good day with a great turnout [8)]

Toomorow, KT and Myself will be setting the final 3 caches.....and i will update the event description of where we are to meet at the mount.

or will there be one more? due to what looks like it may be a great turn out, we might have to have a 7th....mystery cahce.....all i'll say now is that if you want to find it....you will need to find all the 6 morgan caches first..contained within "could" be co-ordinate fragments which may reveal a final secret cache!!!! Twisted

sounds like a great idea to me, at this point in time......but now i have to find a final hiding place tommorow!!!! -sigh- Sad
then i will have to get it past the ump...

27-Feb-07
We will be there.
