We couldn't reach the cache because the access to the area was forbidden regarding to renovation of the building.
Maybe its time to archive this one since the public isn't allowed in the area ...
There is a very good chance this one is now lost, went past yesterday and noticed all of the front garden has been removed, one guy was on his hands and knees poking around at gz
oh so wanted to log another cache on my trip to brisbane.
area fenced off. i boldly squeezed past barriers was stood on ground zero could almost smell the cache
when a security guard popped out of building and told me to get out before he pushed fence totally closed!
go job i hadnt got the cache in my hand cos i would not have been able to have put it back

The area is still closed off, but the cache should still be ok. Will check again in a week.
If the cache has not moved from where I found it two years ago, it will be ok. The area though is barricaded off as the building was inundated.
Will check in a week to see if its clear.

Couldn't access the area today as it was fenced off with council workers working in the area. It may have been affected by the floods. I will try this one later.
Found by MAL. Well hidden. Very hot day on very hot steel. Commissariat closed for christmas holidays so no one was around today to get in our way.
D found this ast lunchtimet oday - after 2 previous visits to the area over the past month. Finally got there when it was qutie enough to come up with the goods!
Great hide - thanks HawMorFords!
PIcked up the Compass Travel bug, so thought it only appropriate to drop off a Compass Geocoin in it's place!

[blue]Found on a free hot afternoon after 5 days at the cricket.
Had to be careful with so many muggles about but found it! TFTC.

What a hot afternoon, did not help crawling around on the hot metal either hehe. I suppose most hard core cachers will suffer alot for the find happy hunting all
This one took me quite a while - only to find out that it was where I expected it when I reached GZ.
But of course, I had to look at all other spots before looking there..DUH!

A coworker and I tried to find this one but gave up after a few minutes as we had other plans. There are a variety of possible locations for this one so it may take some time to locate.
Great cache in the city very hard to find. So many spots to look. Walked away a few times only to return with some deep breaths in between. Finally got it. They are the best when you just do one more search and get it. TFTC
Woke up suprisingly early given this morning (not used to the hour change from daylight savings), and decided to hit the town to avoid the densitty of muggles. This one took a while to locate. Abel E happened by chance to stumble onto it, as we were deterred by our gps pointing us 10m away. Great location, no a soul around. TFTC
Searched the bushes, the railing, the "lower level", DNF. Could ot be that we sticked too much to the coordinates?
Well hidden. I cam early morning, not many people around so easy to be discreet. TFTC
Took a fair while of serching to find this one. Obvious enough afterwards of course. Had a nice walk over thie city finding close caches. Left Diabetes TB. Thanks for the hunt.
We met up with an old friend in Brisbane for a coffee and a little chitchat. After that we decided to take him with us for a small geocache hunt. After we arrived at this cache we quickly noticed that Saturday is the day for getting this cache since the nearby museum is closed and so searching the area can be done without much interruption. Well, we then looked for quite some time, checked the obvious places but weren't successful, when finally Arig Nacious spottet the well hidden box. So it totally paid off to bring him along . Thanks for hiding this cache and greetings from Austria!
This is very difficult. My wife and I have made 4 attempts at it over the past couple of months and gotten nowhere. The GPS was temperamental today, so I'm not sure if we were really that close. Anyone care to send me a hint and put me out of my misery?
A tricky little spot which took a bit of a search. Fortunately fairly quiet down here on a Saturday afternoon. Interesting spot and TFTC
Very difficult without any way of narrowing down the search area due to no hint.
I'm a complete n00b so DNF as I expected after reading the previous logs.
Fair few muggles about (even though it was midnight) because it was a Saturday night.
Will have a better look next time I'm in the city during the day. And without the whinging husband perhaps

Our first Queensland cache - and we almost got muggle-busted. We approached this old building in a leisurely and looking-around way including following the ramp rather than the more direct stairs. Out from the building popped the 'friendly' staff wondering at us taking the long way in and engaging us in conversation about the convict effort to put the building and adjacent wall together. After a few minutes he seemed to understand that we weren't quite ready to come in so he gracefully bowed out and left us to our odd ways. His presence severely curtailed our search but after a good think about the likely hiding places we took some quick peeks and there it was! LN SL TFTC! Cheers...........Gaztek
T the SnoSeeker tag 1895859 but found that it needed to be logged at a non-geocaching.com site. We'll drop it off in another cache but will leave it for another finder to sign up at the other website.

Great hide! When you know where to look, it's so easy... Found it with radioactiveman1. TFTC, kaituna05
Found it in the evening with kaituna05 on our 2nd visit. Once you´ve found it you don´t know why you didn´t before .

Tried everywhere, gave up for a bit to read the previous logs at the bus stop then on the second attempt my better half put his hand on it first go. Awesome hide. Had a visit from security not long after we returned it. TNLN
I searched for ages for this one without success when I was in Brisbane last year. This time I returned and broadened my search. I needn't have gone too much further though, for it was near where I'd previously been searching. A girl working in the building said hi to me on the way out; I'd made myself more visible than I needed to. Nobody was around though when I finally found it.
Had a look around the hedges & ramp with geofriend but no luck any hints or photos??
The GPS took a little while to settle in this area but after a few minutes, it indicated the general location of GZ reasonably accurately. After a serach of the area the cache was found and formalities completed. TFTC
After our first cache in Oz was disappointing we thought we can find another easier one. But this cache was also unreachable for us. We searched the whole hedge but we hadn't luck. [:(!]
found this one on my third atempt.i dont know how i missed it before, oh well its found now
#4 for the evening. Enjoyed this one as it is in an area with a lot of possibilities - and the Treasury across the street means their is a bit of traffic to contend with. TN L Joe Jet TB and a pathtag. SL TFTC
Found after dinner at the Casino and walking home. Walked back and forth a few times to try an home in on GZ. Put my hand on something that didn't feel good but was on the right track and didn't take too long to make the find. Thanks for the addition to our holiday weekend.
Found this cache (finally) while on holiday in Brisbane and surrounds. Thanks For The Cache TNLN SL
In the early morning, walking with my backpack, which provides good ground cover for retrieving caches like these. Nice hide. Took Geocoin and left torch and olympic pin. TFTC
A short search and I 'felt' where it was. Retrieved and signed. I also left a GC I thought I had lost in Malaysia; just in my suitcase TFTC
Another place I'd been past a million times and never really thought about it. Easy to get my hand on once NyletaM suggested the right spot. TFTC!
Found today with NyletaM, EngPhil, Palopinto and geokids.
A short search of the area was performed, before NyletaM spotted a likely location and Palopinto made the grab.

Found fairly quickly today with EngPhil, Palopinto, Alkzura and geokiddies in tow. Probably took us a tad longer than it should have, as the cache ended up being quite an easy find. We were very impressed by the building and hope to come back to visit again on a day when we can go inside. TFTC
We settled in for quite a search on this one. Sunday seems to be a good day for it! NyletaM seems to think it took us too long, but considering the abundance of potential hides, I think she spotted it pretty quick! Only realised afterward that this was my 200th find! TNLN, SL. TFTC!
Ist was quite difficult to search in this area, because there were many muggles. But after a while we found it. Nice Cache.

Out early prior to meeting up with the SEQ Puzzlers. Has been a while since my unsuccessful and security-officer-interrupted search for this cache. Took advantage of the company of Gunnie69 which resulted in an easy find.
Thanks for the cache HawMorFords. Cheers, svn07

walked past the building whilst heading home from a dissappointing day of caching in the city (was irish day - WAY to many people) and recognised the name and though we've got this in the GPS i'm sure... there it was and off we went
at least we found that one that day
at least we found that one that day
walking from roma st to gardens and accidently found the back/from of building, thankfully it was in the GPS.
Found myself with a few hours to spare in central Bris. Not many of these old buildings left unfortunately. Thanks for bringing me here. TNLN TFTC
I actually came looking for this cache years ago and only just came back now to try again. A couple of muggles on the verandah across the road but pretty quiet. Love these historical buildings in our city, especially for an historical cache - my 500th!
I just love having a reason to come and admire these gorgeous old buildings, and this gave me a good excuse to do so. Cache was hidden very well, and we were lucky not to have too many onlookers today. TFTC =•,•=
Interesting area. Cache very well hidden! Pity we were here when the museum was closed. TFTC HawMorFords.
What an impressive building - I had a good look around before narrowing in on GZ. Quiet here at 6 am on a warm morning (for a geoboy from Adelaide anyway). Swapped geocoins. TFTC
Found with my lovely wife in the Australia Day hot afternoon.
Cache was well hidden and GZ was muggle free. A pleasant "walk-by and get" cache.
Took Geocoin. Left Greek Geocoin.

I had to look for a while, but the most obvious location was the right one. Still, you don't want to spend too much time strolling around in the vicinity of a commissariat. Muggles forced me to abandon the search a couple of times. Nice cache in an interesting location. Thanks for the cache.
In town on business, decided to introduce my muggle mate to geocaching. Took a little while by looking in expected tough spots. You guessed it muffle mate found it the most obvious spot. T geocoin toTownsville. SL
Interesting story about this place. Thanks for that and also for the cache
Putted the travel bug Fuwa-Nini (TB19EYW) in.

Found while on our trip to Brissy for New Years Eve celebrations. Searched for approximately 15minutes and was ready to give up and started to walk away when I thought, just maybe it would be..... Bingo! Nice old building.
Thanks

Had a fairly good look with the boy looking in under over everything in sight. No luck though. The co ords seemed to put me on the footpath once they settled but given the other notes about fruitless searching in the bushes I'm not sure that it's the right place.
I think the GPS co-ordinates were a little out on this causing me to spend too much time looking in the bushes and risking being noticed in the city but I eventually found it (after almost giving up).
Ahh, caching at 11:30pm makes things easy. One can lay down and do headstands or cartwheels and no one is about. Wish we had visited during the day or before the end of our trip to Aussie so we could have visited the building itself.
I see the last finder was a fellow Canberra cacher. Unfortunately that is the only thing I had in common with them, as I couldn't make the find. A few muggles around made the attempt a bit half hearted, so decided to just leave it til next time I'm in town.
Thanks anyway........
Thanks anyway........
We were in Brisbane for a Port Visit, so to get off the ship and do something I took a muggle friend around for the day caching.
5th cache for the day and we had walked about 10K around town, feet were sore, picked up the coin to move on, just need to take a kid along, do 30 year old kids count you think?

Training at the largest council in Australia today (Brisbane), and wandered down at lunchtime to grab this one in the hot sun. Found in the first place I looked. TNLN. Thanks for the cache and the history lesson.
11:15 king and queen jnr with both geokids. First cache in Brisbane after just getting off the cat. Nice spot but the 5yo was in no mood for a musuem so off we went for shopping. TFTC In: bring a kid geocoin
LeadNinja had this in hand at 12.15pm while SpongeBobbb and I were looking in other likely places. TFTC.
This is one of those caches were I have seen already from far where the cache box will be - and failed again.
It took me a while to find it.

6th find for the day on my walking tour of Brizzy. Took me a while to locate th econtainer - pretty busy with muggles and my GPSr was showing a different place to where I eventually found the container. A great piece of history and a great hiding place as well.
