Stopped here for lunch in the way to Melbourne. Thought I might try for this one. A bit of digits on one number put me in the wrong spot. Looked around and the obvious choice had my hand on it very quickly. TFTC TNLN
I found this cache as I was heading back home to Adelaide after the Capital Geobash Mega event over Easter.I was travelling solo again and took somewhat of a zig-zag route, following caches of interest. My main focus was on the non-Traditional cache types, although I did find a few others opportunistically. After a bit of rain the first day after leaving Canberra, its been great weather the rest of the time. The required information was collected and final coordinates calculated without any difficulty. At GZ I bumped into queenant89 who already had the cache in hand. Good timing! The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for the cache.
TFTC! 2 April 2024 5:48:49pm 7987 thanks to baby&Mrs gopher for the cache! Stopped for a long distance multi for some information. Also stopped here so we did this multi as a quick break on our way home. Took a couple of minutes to find. Another cacher on his way to Adelaide also popped across! Thanks!
After a Mega time in Canberra, were now heading to Corowa. Our route was determined by a multi we started in Canberra, which concludes in Melbourne. While gathering information for that particular multi, we decided to quickly grab this cache since we were in the area. As usual, we messed up the calculations initially, but after correcting our mistake, we then spent ages searching for the cache. Just as we were about to give up, we finally found the little devil. Thanks for the cache baby&Mrs gopher.
Found with Team Waldron on our way back to Adelaide after attending the Capital GeoBash mega event in Canberra over the Easter weekend. After an early morning start from Canberra we made our way to Wodonga for the night, finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache baby&MrsGopher!
With Featherwaite we're on our way home from Canberra after the GeoBash Mega over Easter. On our way we set our route to take in LGAs that I have no finds in. Day 1 we made it to Wodonga and Day 2 we arrived in Terrick Terrick NP and Day 3 we were home.Unless stated this cache is in good condition.Apologies for the generic log.TFTC
Travelling from Mansfield to Holbrook, NSW on our slow trip to the mega in Canberra. We have stopped for both caches and Adventure Labs along the way.Thank you to all the COs who have placed caches for us to find.
While staying overnight here in Holbrook drove to find this cache. At GZ, it took a short time to find this cache. TFTC
Decided to come into Holbrook to pick some up that we had solve. Remember the days the road came through here.
On our road trip (and back) to visit the kids and grandkid for Christmas. We made a few stops along the way to grab the occasional prize. We like a multi so this one was grabbed during was one of those stops. TNLNSLTFTC gophers
Funnily enough, I meet Toy Hunters at WP1 of this cache, however he was here for a different reason. Exchanged some quick talk and off I was to GZ. A bit of searching revealed the cache in a slightly odd spot, but otherwise in fine condition (if we count the mint tin someone placed inside). Back to the car to continue to Melbourne. TFTC!
Out with the family today to grab 12 geocaches for the solstice souvenir. We decided on Holbrook as there were 11 unfound caches.Stuffed this one up by misreading one of the questions, and I ended up looking in the wrong spot for quite a while until I rechecked my numbers. Once at the correct spot, a quick find was made.TFTC!
After an extremely busy two-ish months, I was finally able to get out with my new geo-mobile and go Geocaching. I decided it was time to clean up the area between Wagga and Holbrook. This trip was via Mangoplah. I found most of the caches I planned to find. Most were quick finds and others I needed to PAF option. The others I wanted to find, the reasons why I didnt were either, too many muggles around or I ran out of time. So, I will at some point return to find these caches. As for the day, I enjoyed day out and visiting places I have never been to or has been a long time since my last visit. TB visit. I would like to thank all COs of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring the Geocaching enjoyment. TFTCs! I'm finally in Holbrook and I spent a few hours caching around the area as well as having lunch. This was one of the caches I found here. This one was a quick find at GZ and then I was off to the next cache. TFTC
I arrived in Holbrook for a lunch stop and obviously to get some caches was also a possibility. I gathered the troopers information, calculated the coordinates the a short walk to GZ. The cache in good condition was quickly located.
Nice town here and of course a submarine.
Found and signed after mulling the clues, thanks baby&Mrs gopher

We stayed overnight on our way home from Vic and picked up the Trooper's details last night. This morning, we wandered in circles while the GPS woke up and got its bearings, then made went straight to the hide. Thanks baby&Mrs gopher.
After staying overnight in Holbrook we did some caching.
We gathered the info for this multi and off we went. But nothing looked good at what we thought was GZ.
Rechecking our figures and came up with the same result. A call to the CO put us on the right track. Turns out it was in a place we first considered.
We had a spare mint tin and log paper that we left in the container. TFTC babyandMrsGopher.

Third day of our trip and we have now left the Rutherglen Mega. We had planned to leave earlier for Sydney, but with 2 NSW events on offer, we had to delay our departure. Events are the one geocache type that I usually fail challenges on. So good to get our first interstate events and increase our numbers too.
Shame the little Minature Train doesn't work anymore, it looked interesting. Got near the GZ, to hear a noise and saw a reptilian tail vanish into the bushes. Telling myself, and keeping the girls away, that it was a large lizard, I took another way into the tree further away. After looking in the wrong places for a little while, I eventually found it.
Thanks for the cache Baby & Mrs Gopher

PS. The log book is very wet and moldy.

Barb2e and I had looked for this before. Now on the way to the Mega in Rutherglen we thought we'd give it another try. The Ivy is full of bees and there were clouds of Butterflies.
We eventually spotted it around knee hight.
The log is soggy and mouldy. And the pages stuck together. Just signable.
I put it back to how the hint mentions it.

Heading to Canberra today with WendyB158 to walk the Centennial Trail, we stopped here at this lovely park in Holbrook for a lunch break and then to stretch our legs around town.
We gathered our numbers which took us to a location that matched the hint. However we were a bit pressed for time and couldn't find the cache during our 5 minutes there. On reading past logs later on this evening, we realised we probably need to give the area a bit of a wider search next time. Thanks anyway baby and Mrs Gopher. Hope to return to rectify this one soon.

Worked it out while stopping in town for lunch and ducked off and made a quick find
Having struggles to make a reservation at the last minute for Christmas while travelling up the Hume we landed up in Holbrook - definitely a little town that offers things of interest for all ages
Found it!
My first attempt at locating the cache was unsuccessful, after making a mistake with the coordinates and heading in completely the wrong direction. A quick re-evaluation of the plaque made me realise the error and the logbook was signed in no time. Thanks for a great multi-cache.

This cache was a 6 year old DNF. We remember clearly where we looked last time but thinking we may have screwed up somewhere in getting those coords we started from scratch again. Same GZ.
Once again we looked everywhere the hint described and once again, same result. We're really going to earn this smilie..... We then started looking in places lower than the hint said and that's where it was found. Final-leeee!! The log was quite wet but there wasn't the remotest chance we weren't getting our name in it. Great to be picking up some of the many puzzles and multis solved over many months and trips, as well as collecting letterboxes, trads, counties and whatever else was in my path.
So many logs are the worse for wear from all of the flooding and wet weather events.
Thanks so much baby&Mrs gopher for getting us out and about, and for the adventure highlights .

After a quick visit to WP1 in the pouring rain, I ran back to the car, did the maths then drove over to GZ. Then waited for the rain to slow down a bit before searching for the cache. Not that that really mattered though since after I had climbed into that bush I was well and truly wet. But I did find the cache so it was worth it!

I stopped in Holbrook for fuel on my way back from Melbourne to Sydney. That was a DNF some years ago, so I’m glad to have found it today! GZ was a few metres out, the cache was in the only logical spot: i just didn’t want to go in there on such a wet day! Still I wanted to find this cache! Log signed. Photo taken with trackable next to the flooding river. Thanks for the cache
Had the right coordinates last time and came back with the Teddies with a vengeance. Found it this time
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Papi4506 loves the old bookshop here and I like a shop nearby that I have purchased a number of gifts from so this was a definite for us. Just to top it all off, the cache was placed pre 2010 which is a favourite for me. Thanks for placing this cache and maintaining it for so long.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be quite an expensive cache. The shop next door was open, lol.
This was a nice quick find after all the necessary information was found. Thanks for the cache and . . . . . . . . bringing us here.

A wee detour for Ghostgums and I as we make the return trip to Wangaratta after a loop via Wagga. After a mandatory stop at 'the boat' we arrived at GZ where the cache was spotted on the ground in the garden bed. Well...so I thought.
Something strange here as I extracted the log and added the names of GG and I. As I was returning it to where I thought was a likely hiding spot, there was another container tucked away in the lair. Hmm, a GCA cache I wondered? Did someone drop a container while here finding this one? Why is there two containers here? Many questions. [?]
In order to ensure our names were definitely in the log, I extracted the second container and left our mark. Returned as found, the second certainly seemed much neater placed and possible the correct one we were chasing. But, we've ticked both off nonetheless.
Maybe worth a CO visit when next over this way.
Cheers baby&Mrs Gopher.

One of many caches found during the week of the 2021 Wangaratta Mega. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their contribution to our recreational activity!
Had this Multi saved as either a coming/going cache. After making decent time in the morning, I decided to pop into Holbrook. A quick offset and walk to GZ. Like a few other previous logs, the cache has fallen to ground level. I signed and replaced where I had found it. TFTC

On our way north Bunadoorian and I had this cache in our sights after recalculating GZ on a previous visit. The weather wasn't playing too nice but it didn't deter us. Bunadoorian found the cache and went back and got the appropriate TOTT. After the log was signed we then headed for the car and back on the road. So glad this cache is now found as it has been a very long time between trips this way! TFTC and the puzzle baby&Mrs gopher.
The weather conditions were not in our favour but we had previously calculated the GZ location and today was one of the rare days we were in the area. So we found the cache after a short search and noticed that we needed TOTT to acquire the cache. With the cache in hand and the logbook signed we now had return it to its place. TFTC.
This was a lovely way to stretch my legs as I make the long trip back home! When I did get to GZ, I found the cache *not where the hint suggested it would be*, so I've replaced it accordingly. Left a little bit of swag. TFTC!
At long last I can travel south to see my dear sister in Victoria - I m so looking forward to catching up but first I must grab some caches on my way. For my personal challenge I need a multi and an AL today. This cache is very conveniently located along the way, so it was the target for the multi. The GZ was soon revealed and by following the hint to a T, oops to the cache, it was a relatively quick and easy find. The log is in good condition and now carries my name. TFTC baby&Mrs gopher, it is so good to be back in your territory. Just a pity I don't have time to see you. Merry Christmas!!! A FP cause I can.
Away for the long weekend, It was a lovely time to be able to venture out, NO LOCKDOWN for us, Yiiipppeee.
On our way home from a glorious weekend away from Narrandera we took the long way just to find a cache or twooo. Finally got around to logging what we found.
Good Bless all the Men and Women who have and still do have the courage to fight for our country... They are brave in everything they do... We Will Remember Them
Gathered the required information, calculated the coordinated then headed for Ground Zero. Found the hidden treasure. This cache is in good condition and so is the log.
Found it, signed it, replaced it and then venture further on to the next cache not to far away.
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher (B&A)

Pretty sure we were at the right coordinates but after quite a search no luck. There is a lot of new growth that may have hindered
When the correct coords were calculated we were in the right spot!!! Being strangled by the tree in dim light made the find more challenging! TFTC!
After a couple of DNF's it was time to have a check. Container still at GZ and in good condition

**The Cache**
Spent a lot of time going around and around but just couldn't quite get a glimpse of this one. I'm sure my coordinate are right even though they show a bit off on my phone gps. Must head onward.
**The Adventure**
We were heading to the *St Arnauds Mega* but quickly became grounded at *Albury* when the ignition coil and a spark plug packed it in. Absolutely gutted. That was a hard blow to recover from considering a lot of time went into the preparation and I was excited for our journey. Nevertheless, we were able to undertake some caching around *Albury* and picked up some bonza Mystery caches I’d solved and greatly wanted to sign off on. We were going to head to Wagga and grab some caches there, but the cost of mechanics stripped us clean of cash. Homeward bound we went. Some emotional recovery undertaken, and we can now say, despite our unfortunate circumstances, we had a great weekend, and feel all the better for a tented night by the Murray River and a long trip down the freeway.

We calculated the coords for GZ then strode out to find two small trees at these coords. After several minutes of fruitless searching we trudged back to the car. Upon proofreading our working, we discovered that we left out a "plus 1." Now we had a successful search. TFTC

Day 12 of our “mum and kids adventure” holiday saw us starting at Holbrook and end the long trek home in Ballarat. We were targeting nice easy caches to get to 200 in total for our trip. An easy one here. Thanks for the cache.
did the first part of this multi a few years ago, but at that time it was bucketing rain and we needed to get a move on, so we left the final for another time. So today we drove up to GZ and made a quick find... in a bit of drizzle. Thanks for the Cache.
The geo family were on a trip up north and after spending the night in Beechworth, we were off early to make the most of it stopping for a few caches and some sightseeing along the way. Holbrook seems to be a popular stopover for us these days, visiting a number of times when recently been up and down the Hume. I had solved this multi with info from my last trip and was keen to collect today. The cache was well hidden away and not easy to get in to.

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher (F=9422 H=109) for the cache.

We were on our way to the Clearwater event, signing as JAM, JJ52, Aussie M & M and mogni.
Gathered the numbers and went from one park to another.
Hmmm, there is a lot of bee activity there. We checked who was least likely to be upset by the bees, and Aussie Mary went in to find the cache fairly easily in the end.

After getting off the Spirit of Tasmania this morning we decided to stay overnight in Holbrook as we make our way to the Clear Waters Mega in Queanbeyan. This is a lovely park and we enjoyed the short stroll to GZ. After signing the log and returning to the car we were sprung by Happy Feet1 who had just signed the log before us. They yelled hello from the car as they were heading closer to Canberra for the night. TFTM See you at the event.

Soles and found go. Just too many options for me to have a good search and too little time.
The places caching takes you! We were here late on a Monday evening and after investigating nearby music, found the local pool was still open at 9pm! Apparently it's open 24 hours at present! Made our way to GZ and marveled at the miniature train tracks. Thanks to the geotrail it was a quick find once at GZ. Tftc
We were scratching our heads for a bit with this one. No worries at wp1 but when we calculated gz for wp2 we had dejavu. We have already found this one??!!!
After grabbing the cache and reading through the log entries we could not find our signature? BUT we are certain we found it?? After reading electronic logs we realised this cache was relocated here in Aug17.... we last passed through Holbrook in Jan16, so we must of found the previous hide at this spot. With our names added to this one we continued on our way to Gundagai. TFTC B&MG xo

Up early and left Tarcutta after spending the night there.
Called into Holbrook to try and find a couple of caches.
As I got to WP1 there were a couple of people out with the phones and I thought that could mean only one thing.
Nice to meet you Aquilus1 and family, we worked out was was required and had a good old chat as we wandered off to GZ.
Aquilus1 did the honours and we soon had the log signed.
A goodbye and of on our seperate ways.
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher TFTC.

It's been a while since we stopped in Holbrook, the bypass fixed that. 1100km for the day we don't stop too much, keeps my caching to a minimum but a possible 6 new counties and we left the hwy and came through once again.
Thought we might as well find all the caches in town while here so came to this on our way out. Arrived and soon after another turned up phone also in hand. Hello! Would you be possum?! Just signed the last log and it had your name! Well, yes it was posum. Nice to meet you, we had a chat while working through the GZ cords and walking across to the cache, the places caching takes us!
Thanks for the cache, another oldie!

My second of a 9 day caching road-trip holiday. After turning early last night, I woke up unfortunately very early this morning. Far colder than I was expecting when I started my morning caching before breakfast.
Today I headed West through Kosciuszko NP, A fun drive but with fewer caches than yesterday.
Thanks for the caches.

I don’t stop in Holbrook often as it is just that little bit close to home (usually just push on to get there). But was feeling particularly weary and in need of ice cream so decided why not get a cache as well.
Info at WP1 was quickly gathered and I was glad that the final was not near the large gathering in the park as finding would have made hard. The trains were also supposedly running but their schedule obviously had enough gaps to not spring me in action either,
At GZ quickly followed the geotrail and the cache was hand (normal sized people in Holbrook compared to Gundagai!). TFTC and now just to get that tricky submarine

Heading down the Highway, looking for an adventure.....or maybe a cache or 2 to break the trip
We chose to drive into Holbrook to do our last unfound cache and stretch our legs while seeking out the answers. The cache was found tucked away nicely just waiting patiently for the next finders .
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for the interesting multi .

Charlicorn and I went on a 12-day, 3808km roadtrip from the Southern Highlands of NSW to Gawler in SA and back, to attend the Inline Hockey National Championships representing NSW. This was all new territory for us so of course quite a bit of geocaching happened along the way and at the various places we visited, although hockey commitments and the physical demands of competition meant it wasn't a high numbers mission. Instead we focused on specific caches such as Earthcaches, highly-favourited ones, long-unfound ones and those which ticked off boxes in my stats. But we picked up plenty of caches we just happened to wander past as well. All up a very successful geomission and, returning with bronze medal in hand, not too bad from a hockey perspective either.
Today we continued our homeward journey, heading from Wodonga back to the Southern Highlands of NSW. This very slow meandering final leg gave us enough time to complete this multi after passing it by on many previous trips. Nice easy solve and find. TFTC!

Love the multi and town. Such a rustic feel. I resisted the urge to shop.
Found on a fun loop to the Nation's Capital and back. A stop here added to the enjoyment - this one had been targeted for a while so it was great to stop the dot burning my screen.
Thanks to baby&Mrs gopher and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Memory is strong. TFTC and drawing me here. Enroute to an orienteering event at Burgiogee!
We have a new grand child in Sydney, and today, we are off to visit for the first time. The Hume Highway can be pretty boring to drive, so what better to do that stop one or eight times for a cache.
Love a good coffee and cache. Solved before morning tea! Found after morning tea.
Amazing shop nearby forced me to buy a poncho and beret. Took one TB marvel, left one TB bones who wanted to get out of Victoria.
Thanks baby&Mrs gopher

Took a couple of attempts as we misread a question. Dropped off two trackable. TFTC
Easter caching holiday with +Wife.
It has been a big weekend+.
Leaving Melbourne at midnight on Wednesday we drove night and day to reach Morisset by 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
With no sleep since Tuesday night we struggled for 2 1/2 hours and finally had our camp set up for the Oz Geo Muster 2018 MEGA event.
A fantastic adventure.
Now on our way home via Frog Hollow and Lane Cove, I managed to get us lost in Sydney.
Two smart phones and three GPSr units still didn't help.
Eventually we were travelling south and did not stop until we were well out of town.
After a night in a motel, we are on the road again.
Time to take a break, stretch the legs and find a cache or two.
No problem working out where GZ is. [^]
Far too much bee activity to get near the cache.
Oh well, next time.
Thanks anyway baby&Mrs gopher.
