Day 2 of (almost) 4 in the Boise area and today it was down south to grab a few around here, and of course hit a PT or 2. Plenty of other caches in there as well....and it was neat day. Being from Australia, it was strange not to see the rise until just after 8.00am, but cool all the same.

Thanks to all cache owners for the work to have them out there. Thanks also for showing me some great views along the way.

Cheers....and greetings from Australia.

In the world of "micro" and "size not chosen" caches, it is such a pleasure to find a nice big old ammo can. You "made our day". Thanks for the cache. TN LN SL

This was the first cache of the day for Oaknest and me. We started out early this morning, finding our first 20 or so caches in the dark. We had a long day of caching ahead, and wanted to get an early start. We got to GZ, and it took us a few minutes to realize where the cache was, but he spotted it. Thanks for the great start to a busy day of caching!

My wife wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday...I told her that I would like a trip to Idaho to work on some of the power trails near Mountain Home. So that's what we did. Took a couple of days off work and headed north. The primary goal was to work on the challenge cache trail and get as many physical, non traditional caches as I could, I was around 200 short of a challenge in Utah. All in all a great weekend finding caches. Thanks to all the cache owners that added to our fun. Ended up with over 600 finds, a new personal best day, a new personal best month, pushed my finds to over 14000, and I think I might have enough caches to log the challenge at home too.

Day 1--Picked up a few caches in Twin Fall and Bliss before hitting Hammet where we worked the lower part of the trail across to Hwy 51 and about halfway down to the air base before we were too tired to continue. Of course that was after starting the day by locking the keys in the rental car and having to wait for AAA to rescue us and driving up from Utah.

Day 2--Started where we left off from day one. Best find of the day was the cafe we ate lunch at in Grand View....aside from the caches themselves. Even got a car wash from 2 young girls that were having a car wash in their driveway...

Day 3--Longest day of the weekend. Started by driving out to the Jet. Walked to the whereigo's and the multis. I want to finish this one some day, just need a better rental for that. Then up towards Boise and back down the freeway to Mayfield where we picked up the power trail again....worked a string that we had previously partially completed before heading back into town. Night cache then to bed...

Day 4--Time to drive home...still lots of caches to find. Grabbed a few caches east of town before breakfast, then down the freeway back to Hammet where we picked up a few of the Top 100 cachers series, then back to Bliss for a few we missed on Day 1, Jerome, then a few more on the way home...

Thanks for all the caches. Sorry for the cut in paste, but when you have this many to log, you have to use the tools that are available. I'm using GSAK to log my finds. If anyone wants more verification on puzzles, please contact me. I assure you that I have the proper qualifications to log them.

Caching the Idaho back roads from Mountain Home to Boise and beyond with Ground Fox. Perfect weather, dry roads and beautiful scenery. We replaced some (maybe) missing caches along our way and even found more than one in some locations. Thanks for the effort, I know what it takes to hide and maintain many caches.

Day Four of our caching adventure from Saskatchewan, Canada into Idaho. Today we cached south of Mountain Home with our good friends Scratch1. We dodged badger holes, braved the dusty trails and had lots of laughs as we found 400 caches today! Thanks geoRickS for placing your caches here for us to enjoy! No TB here.

I was on vacation with my parents. We were visiting Arizona, Nevada, California, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. We saw a lot and my dad even hiked the Grand Canyon. This was my first time visiting all these states and I am sure I will be back one day. See my dad's (res2100) log for more information.

Spent half of a very hot day three with Ozzie and the Boys and Adroit Seeker picking up the challenge trail caches. Found some caches, saw a variety of animals including snakes but no rattlers and had fun.

I always enjoy coming to the desert, beats a rainy Vancouver.

Thanks for the fun.

Out for a week of geocaching with Adroit Seeker and Roman to take on some power trails and geoart in Idaho as well as many other great caches along the way.

It was quite the adventure complete with lizards, snakes, scorpions and spiders... oh my! We also came face to face with more cows, bulls and horses on the roads and at caches than you'd think possible while caching. All while enjoying a record heat wave and amazing country side.

We managed a little over 2,000 finds on our trip and a personal record 567 caches on one hot sunny day Smile while logging almost 3,000kms, making the round trip by car from Vancouver, BC.

Thanks to all of you who put out the caches and made this trip so enjoyable. Big Grin

In most cases TNLN and SL (usually with our stamp "OAR" with paddles and maple leaf) and for the exceptions amendments to follow!

Day 4:

You could say that this day was a challenge for myself with Roman and Ozzie as we started back in Mountain Home, and found all the challenge caches placed in the area and continued our way over to massive locomotion geoart getting the first one and a few along the walk to this one, before proceeding on the Owyhee Uplands power trail for which we managed to knock off 1/2 of it before calling it a day all during record breaking 98 degree hot day for the area for a total of 441 caches for the day.

We got to see a variety of animals comprised of birds, lizards, and a few rattle snakes of which we all respected our space and kept our distances.

On our 9 day trip we managed in total to travel over 3000 km, found and signed over 2000 caches, getting on most days a few hundred caches, and on a record hot day we got as many as 567 caches our best day on the trip.

For the most we stamped the logs which had a Canadian Maple Leaf with two OAR's crossed above it with the initials of OAR to represent each of our caching crew names.

Thanks geoRickS for all the caches placed for us to find.
