we were down in barwon heads for the weekendwith plans for next year, we are trying to bank a few good reviews for house-sittingyes: we are responsibleyes: we will look after your homeyes: trust us pretty pleasewith the aim of saving some coin on accommodation on our future voyagesowe got a house at the headsa gorgeous family home with a backyard vegetable garden to die forwith a little dachshund crossed with cavalier king charles spaniel to dote onwe took him for a little stroll up to the heads properwatched the kite-surfers coasting up the coastand dashed into the bushes for some treasuregood onenice little spot
Took a while cause I thought it was just rubbish but in hindsight it was nice and easy
Took us ages but we did it thanks to the help of the logs! Smaller than expected.
Lovely, well hidden cache. Be wary of the walkers when seeking, even if carpark is empty. Also suggest a cuppa at the nearby great look out seat (if you don't mind a few stairs). TFTC. Took turtle, left fuse.
Second finder of this cache container today. Can't say that this was my favourite cache of the day. Stomping around amongst toilet paper isn't my idea of fun but this cache did take us to a great place. And the toilet paper is hardly the CO's fault. Thanks Saltie.
TFTC! 11 March 2024 10:38:25am 7596 thanks to Saltie for the cache! A stunning view from up here today!
On the 26th Feb 2007 I placed this guy, gee that is a long time ago, can you remember that far back. This cache along with over a hundred and fifty others have been adopted out to other folk who I hope are happy to look after these guys as the ageing Bushfire has developed a health problem that will only get worse so a big thanks to all these great friends. Finally, I must thank my good friend Quickhealer2 for looking after this guy as it has got to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands. And lastly, I will give it another favourite because I can now. Thanks for all the great logs that have been placed over many years.
Nice little find whilst hearing another family nearby looking at the same time. A quick sign and quick getaway with Kaos_K before we were seen. TFTC
I tried to approach the GZ from one angle for about 15 minutes and emerged unsuccessful with my hair full of small twigs. Approaching from another angle, having read the hint, I saw the likely cache straight away.
It was great to find another unique container from Bushfire, and a cache that's been part of the Geelong region for much longer than I have. Found with no assistance from the eldest DuckNomNom kid who merely looked on with amusement. TFTC!

This is one of that cache hides that makes you realise it must have been here during every previous visit to this location in life before geocaching.
Cache and log in great condition, though I feel its a wonder that this one hasn't been victim of a CITO program yet.
----
Quick find today. JRThudd and I tackling this lower corner of Barwon Heads in the short window before Sunday morning soccer.

Nice find after tennis comp on a Saturday with my friend Ihsaan his first find (he doesn’t have an account yet) TFTC
Stopped to see the view and surprise there was a cache here. Yippee. Quick find with no muggles until after we’d signed the log. TFTC TNLNSL
Found but didn't have a pen, we left a card for the next person! If anyone else finds it and wants to add the Spertners, we'd appreciate it!
I give you a fav point for creativity of the cache container.
If I didnt know to look for green I wouldnt have looked at all.
Great work.

While staying at Queenscliff, we did some caching. Easy find on a very windy day. Thanks Saltie.
Celebrating a 50th nearby. Decided to do the caches towards the bluff. My geogal joined me and took lots of photos on my photo which is also my GPS. Thanks for the cache
By the time our walk had brought us to the top of this beautiful area, the sun was doing its best to create some warmth . We stopped to have a good look at the views of the area, before diving into the bushes to find something green.
Log signed.

Found after a quick search. Kind of like a public toilet near the cache site. Tread carefully. TFTC TAD
Day out with mum and the girls, on our way through to Aireys Inlet for the day. Thought we make a quick stop
Great little walk around and easy with a pram and moody toddler

Nice short walk with two tired granddaughters do was a Bonus to find a cache quickly. Pity about the toilet paper
Was a bit tricky as we worried about wriggling sticks, but found it safely in the end! TFTC!
Parked here and this was 18 meters away. Found quickly although for a tall large person getting in and out with the mossies wasn't easy! TFTC!
Love the unusual containers here and on the nearby cache too. What a great day to be here.
Found it , it was a wet and windy afternoon, so this worked in our favor. Not many muggles made it a quick find. What an amazing location. Tftc
Staying nearby meant I was able to come back to this one a few times until the area was relatively quiet. Beautiful spot! TFTC
Having a house in Ocean Grove for a couple of days, we bought a tasty lunch from a Barwon Heads bakery and headed for the Bluff.
After lunch, a walk to the lookout and some ship watching, and few iTEEM members had a look for this cache.
We spotted the container quickly, quite exposed, but disregarded it as discarded trash as there were a few other containers scattered around also.
After no luck finding anything more promising, we came back to the container and opened it to reveal the log in place of the original contents.
I reset it with a little natural camo so it is both less obvious to anyone collecting trash, but more likely to be recognised by cachers.

Decided to do the walking path while visiting Barwon Heads. The ocean was wild, the wind bitter. Busy here, tough find with so many visiting.
I almost needed to crawl to this cache. It was found when taking the right side track in. In the car park I met some fellow geocachers who warned that it was a bit of a ‘toilet’ site, but it was nothing like that today. All was nice and clean . The cache was a bit too visible and shiny, bright green. I left it with a bit more natural covering.
What a great view from the lookout near by. It is a different view of Barwon Heads- the bridge, Barwon River and back to the area where I use to camp every year in my childhood - The Ocean Grove Foreshore Committee camping ground.
Bunadoorian had his eyes in this morning and found the cache first. TFTC and for bringing us here Bushfire.

What are you trying to tell me. Are you saying that I smell??? Thanks for bringing Grub62 and I here and TFTC.
After a lovely walk, this was a quick find. Great to my first smiley face for this area
Over in Barwon Heads for the weekend and headed out today for a few finds. Quickly found after a short search in the bush

After a nice walk around the area I turned the app on to see what was around. Only to find this one directly behind the car.
Had the sister-in-law with us. Hopefully wish will inspire her to pick up this amazing hobby again.

Found by Aussie Train Driver 13/03/2022, find number 1603.
I found this one with the family which made me look slightly less suspicious to all the long weekend muggles as we were wandering around in the bushes as opposed to if I was on my own!
I spotted the cache almost as soon as I arrived, dismissed it, hunted for 5 minutes, went back to my original spot, picked up the cache, moved it out of the way (then ignored it when my wife asked if I was sure it wasn't the cache), kept hunting for a few more minutes before picking up the cache again and examining it closer. D'oh! Well done Bushfire, not only did you trick me several times with your great hide but it's also very environmentally friendly cache container! TFTC!

Caravanning with my Mum at Ocean Grove and finding the caches on the peninsula. This was a lovely walk to get the caches on the bluff at Barwon Heads this morning. The log smelled lovely! Thanks.
