A few years ago visited here and failed to find the cache. A couple of more thousand finds later and today this one was fairly straightforward. Quite a lovely spot and well worth a nice drive. TFTC!
A slightly wider search than what my gpsr GZ indicated, and there it was. Unfortuneatly, moisture has penetrated the cache and I did remove some, but some paper items are damaged. Could the next cacher bring some cloth towel, paper towel, wipes or the like and clean it out alittle more. Log only, Thanks for the hide.
Introduced two families to geocaching and this was our big find. Heks, Cowlishaws, and Ross families
Nice easy one for an Easter Sunday. Took Juzzy along for her first time.

Went for a nice drive through the countryside today and decided to stop in and grab this cache. It was our second visit and a nice hint from a previous finder a while ago the cache was in hand quick as a flash. Why did we have so much trouble last time??
The cache was full of water however when we opened it up. So we emptied the water, and dried it out as best we could.
T - Mirror and GC

Found this one on our way through the valley heading home. It was about 9.30pm so no views of the falls to be had today, nice hide anyway.
At first I thought this may have been destroyed....as someone set fire to the toilet and it burn't the whole area around. Some people can be so irresponsible. But we did find it and it is ok just a little water inside. This is a gr8 spot for anyone who lives local and has never seen it b4.

Great view, like water falls and look for a cache was an excuse to come out this way. TFTC.
First one we have found as a family!! Took about 20 mins to find!! Feeling very satisfied!!

This was an extra find on the trip as I missed adding it to the list. Lucky I had the Nuvi loaded with with every cache in NSW and it came to the top of the list as I approached Robertson and spotted a sign the same as the cache's name.
Nice drive out to an area I've not been to before and made an easy find.
Cache is still a bit damp and at 9pm I couldn't dry it out.

We were amazed with views, especially finding not only one but two waterfalls connected to each other.

The cache is a bit damp, bit of a confusing find due to the canopy, second attempt after viewing the falls made an easy find. No swaps
Found cache after a bit of wandering around. First one that our 4yo has found (with just a little help). Thought we had a good idea where it was, but it wasn't. But we found it close by. Got there just after the sun went behind the hills.
Falls were spectacular - can imagine what they would be like at sun up with the sun on them.
Cache was very wet inside. wiped it out and replaced all the goodies.
Took toy copter flyer, left mini gel pen, ball and dinosaur.

A quick find, a quick look at the falls and onwards...
The cache was quite wet inside but luckily the log book had survived. We emptied the water out and moved on. Lots of muggles today, but all at the picnic area and lookout.
TNLN. Thanks homedg.

Headed off towards this Cache from the flat rock cache in Kangaroo Valley. GPS said it 4.5klms away, but the time we arrived we had driven closer to 45klms. If only we could fly.
Searched and searched for about 20 minutes, but to no avail. Not many muggles around so we were climbing all through the scrub. Probably looking too hard, so will have to come back and try this one again another time.
Did run into a little friend on the way, made us question the theory that caching in the bush was safer in the middle of winter. Strange to see such a creature out and about this time of year.

Had a beatiful drive over here (not with a 4WD!) after a few days of rain. The road was not quit suitable for my car today and the rivercrossing was spectacular due to the rainfall!

Thanks for this location. I have been to all the other falls in the area before, but why not this one? Fantastic views.

Today we test drove the Geo mobile new sat nav makes getting to the cache locals a whole lot easier, pity the hand held GPS cant be a lot more accurate like its big brother. At gz it did its usuall its there no over there thing so searched around in the general area to no avail.
At one point a large group of bush walkers descend upon us out of nowhere, and felt like shouting Help me find this thing please.
There had to be some cachers amongst them.
The Falls are a spectacular sight,so we will be back need to contact homedg I think for just a little help again........

Found this one with Wilburn and friend. Thanks for the clue PeripateticPenguins, we took your advice and bingo. Dropped of Skater Elmo and a toy. Coords were very close. TYFTC
Found by the Peripatetic Penguins with a gang of helpers: Simon, Angus, Henry, John, Adrian, Luka and Daniel.
Took us a little while to find this one - well camouflaged. Located it with the aid of a stick.
A beautiful spot, splendid views. After the find, we walked back to the river, where we'd parked, and the younger ones went for a bit of a swim. There were some people a little way upstream fishing with what appeared to be lamb chops on the end of a string - some quaint local method of catching freshwater crayfish, eels???

A beaut but quick cache to round off an awesome week away with a couple of awesome cacher friends. Gees but I'm getting lazy looking for the these caches, I rang the owner and quickly had this one in the bag. No risk to anything this one right on the edge of the roadway it's hard to say no! Looked and looked around the spot our GPS said. Couldn't find it. Will have to try again another day. Hopefully then we'll have the "Ah ha" moment that others have described.
Top notch area!!! This is definitely a nice drive and scenic picnic spot to bring others to! We should have gone to Fitzroy Falls first instead of second though, because after seeing the fantastic double falls and pools of Belmore, we were a bit disappointed when we saw the Fitzroy waterfall - (Fitzroy Falls: 82m drop. Belmore's two tiered falls + pools: more than 100m drop. Perhaps we should have walked to all the lookouts at Fitzroy to appreciate it more?). Anyway, the drive though the forest with it's huge, spectacular gums was well worth the trip alone! The creek was low, and we easily drove through the shallow water that was running over the concrete river crossing. We had the lookout area to ourselves, so we enjoyed the experience even more. The cache had at least an inch (2.54cm) of water in it - it's clipping shut, but not sealing. We dumped the water out, and dried everything off as best we could. We were greedy and took the Tankengine and Shadow pathtags - super nice! Now we have four on display, and do I want diamonds from my hubby Pip - no, I want our own pathtags so we can drop them off in great cache spots too! Thank you for sharing this great place and for the cache homedg, it rates right up there in our top 10 scenic spots!

Found this cache at 12:30 p.m. on a lovely clear day after some rainy ones. Coming in from the Burrawang way it was such a beautiful fresh country side. Crossing over the Ford with the water lapping at the tyres, then to find the cache and the lovely Belmore Falls flowing beautifully.Had the cache in hand GPS took us right to it, a simple camo but really works. This has taken us to a milestone of 300 finds. Not to bad for a couple of Old Bushies.
The container was really wet. Took it back to the car and tried to dry it out as best as possible. Log book was OK. Put what we could in some new plastic bags and placed it back hopfully so that any rain will run of it.
Took: Trick Dice.
Left: Boxed Bracelet. and 2 Pathtags.
Thanks homedg for the hide.

Had problems getting a fix on GZ with the GPS, gave up and went to see the falls. On the way back to the car had another look and spotted it easily. Clever hide! Thanks.
what an excellent area, another spot i wouldn't have come to , if it wasn.t for caching.
would be good if i had a rope to jump over the falls with, next time .

A well camouflaged container had us searching at GZ for what seemed like a long time. After it was discovered we thought "der - how didn't we find that sooner?". Thanks for bringing us out here.
Bummer, so far I have made hard work of caching in Australia, 3DNF's and one find. Never mind the falls were beautiful and we were next to go to Fitzroy, even I couldn't miss that.
My 100th Cache, not as easy as I had hoped but found in the end once Hydra_dragon had gone for his walk down to the falls & given me some peace.

As the bower birds mentioned, this cache had been muggled & they found it lying on the track. Thankfully the cache and it's contents, including the log book were all in tact. We placed it back where we found it back in April, so there should be no need to perform any maintenance homedg. Hope it doesn't get done over again.
We may have introduced a couple of prospective cachers to the sport via this cache, as we showed them what it was all about.
Thanks again homedg.
Cheers.

Another nice easy cache. Approached from the Robertson side this time, since last time I could get across the ford from Fitzroy Falls. Left geocoins. TFTC!
I heard on the radio this morning that the road to Belmore Falls is close to non-local traffic due to errosion following the recent rain.
Loads of fun driving down the wet and slippery dirt road (even more fun driving back up it) only to find that the volume of water going over the ford made it impossible to cross. The falls were impressive though!
Well, looked at the falls first then hunted for the cache. Looked for some time in many spots but the real trouble was the GPS that had a very hard time trying to get a fix. In the end decided would continue on without the find.
Looking, Looking, Looking - This way & that. Friends were convinced that the find wouldn't be made, so after they all gave up I was able to concentrate fully on the task at hand. Once I let the GPS settle down & did things nice & calmly, the cache was found in a minute or 2. Found at 4:20pm, & we hope to grabbed the coin, but winglen grabbed it on their visit yesterday - oh well. Find 5 of 5 for the day.
After the official duties were done, we strolled around to have a look at the falls, and I must say they are some of the most impressive falls we have seen - very unique & we didn't even know that the falls existed, even though we have done the Fitzroy Falls visit a few times before.
TNLN - Thanks for bring us here homedg.

Made a detour on our way home to Canberra to see the falls and grab the cache. Everything wreathed in mist, but we were lucky to get a break in the mist to glimpse the waterfalls - lovely. Made a mess of locating the cache, looking everywhere until I reminded myself it was a 1/1 difficulty, so I tried somewhere more simple. Took the geocoin as it has been here a while, made no swaps. TFTC.
long ago i used to go up to that creek there and catch trout not sure if any are still in there now though. still a nice place to visit. searched 2 wrong spots till my gizmo figured out where it wanted to point. left geo coin took nothin. tftc homedg
We cant complain about the rain as we sure need it but enough is enough this Easter weekend and it's time to get out and have an adventure. Great lookout and I bet it's got some great views in fine weather but that will be another day. A quick find only a few metres from the car The box was chockablock full of goodies too. Tahnks for inviting us here homedg.
I found this place a year ago but had to come back now that there is a cache to grab. Brought Sponge Bobwa along but he didn't fit so I'll put him in the next one.
This is lovely spot that I've been to many times before, in fact I've been to the base of the falls on a rope.
Took me a little while to locate this one. Like others before me I was searching over there, then over here, then over there, finally with everyone clearing out I managed to knab this one. TNLN Except the coin that Tangles left yesterday.

As we approached the falls we found water flowing rapidly over the causeway and not wanting to risk the car in such a dangerous location I sent the other half out to test the route. While she was testing the water depth the alluring smell of fresh baked Easter Buns was just too much. I was just about to sink my teeth into lustrous top of the bun when I was informed it was safe to drive across. Reluctantly I placed the bun down and drove across and picked up the now soggy better half who sat down on top of my bun.
After leaving the car we went in search of the cache but kept getting distracted by the views and the thunderous roar of the waterfall. Once the official duties where complete we strolled around taking some happy snaps before returning to the car and continuing on our way.
Left Coin.

Managed to get an afternoon leave pass while Mrs R was doing some teacher stuff. "Just be 2 hours bab" hehe yeah right... This cache had other ideas for us. Once at the location, gizmo was messy as a dog's breakfast and took ages to get an accurate lock. At one stage it was telling me to go get the abseiling gear and head 80m west of the lookout. After a while it settled down and lead us to GZ, then it took abt 15 mins of muggledodging before I made the find. Yep it is wheelie accessible but due to the gizmo error I'd rate it a 2 star difficulty. Anyway, did the cache thing picked up the TB and rehid. I have to wonder though - the camouflage over the container is pretty fragile and won't take much before it gives way. Because the cache is in such an obvious location please be super careful to rehide it properly. TFTC! Oh and the ford on the way out is the funnest way to go, especially while the water level is up a bit.
Cache check after the rain and first finds.
All is good with the cache.
Grabbed a coin and left a TB

Well, we made it that much harder than it needed to be. The machine was pointing every which way, it seemed every muggle in a 100km radius had decided to visit the falls (which were, admittedly, spectacular today!), and the kids ran out of patience rapidly (bad idea, coming out after a sports day at school, but it was my afternoon off). We'd given up after a long search and were on our way out (in the car), when I decided to have one more look. Bingo, the machine seemed to suddenly get a lock and I found it!
The kids did enjoy the ford, and also the little bit of mud! Heavens, the UAV got dirty!

A FTF. Found mid morning after a diversion on my way to Bowral. The last 5 Ks (gravel) were doing a pretty good impression of a creek, following the rain last night. My UAV did it's best to find some urbanites to assault however I,sorry we, were the only ones out-n-about. The falls are indeed spectacular given all the rain of late (I recorded 342ml for February). The view from Hindmarsh Lookout down into KV held my gaze for quite some minutes. Took the Geo-coin & left an Old Maid. Thanks homedg.
