2nd attempt at this cache. There was a couple of muggles around but they didn't bother to much about me. Cache was an easy find as the cords were spot on. Thanks for replacing this cache.

I have been wanting to get this cache for some time now and when I finally get here I have to log a DNF. I think i found the hiding spot but no cache, I will put this one on my watch list and when it gets found I will be back.
Tftc. Interesting spot to get to. Shame about all the rubbish getting in here. Quiet and beautiful.
No travel bugs here today. People who have collected them may need to log them please.
14:16, 3 January 2015. #314. Gypsy and iPhone agreed where GZ was for a change, but not quite where The Bursarium and I found it. Didn't take too long to find though and made for an amusing hunt.

Wow we found this by accident!! (Weren't players we are now:) talking about such places were cache hidden & the camo looked a bit unnatural when looking at feature so spent a bit more effort trying to make camo more natural - so jo blogs public like ourselves don't find it. lol but was so flukey we found it still !! Beautiful area so in high season need to be careful of public spoting you - driving through a traditional river ford fun too
Well, the day started out with a rally race around the track for Geo-husband, twas a gift a few years ago. Geo-husband has taken a few days of to do the things he hasn't been able to do for a while, as you can clearly read.
Got up at 5:30 this morning and headed out for Adrenalin by RED-BALLOON, never have I seen the biggest smile on his face when it was over we went had coffee and looked up some caches and this was the first for the day had fun finding as we have not been for a while as to Geo-wife's back, but today was a special day so the effort was put in place and away we went.
When looking for this cache we came across muggles fishing and walking their dog/dogs really nice place to walk or stroll while looking and listerning as the birds chirped and the people talked as they walked.

Thanks maccamob

Thanks for taking me back here - haven't visited since I was a kid. Not another soul around today.
Dropped off Boots trackable: good luck little guy
The kids loved the bumpy ride over the ford on the way out.

I am not normally in this area but since I was for work I thought I would grab a cache or 2. This is a gorgeous little spot along the river and there wasn't a muggle in sight. This was a quick easy grab. Tftc Tnln sl
Found this one tonight. I was out looking for isolated caches (more than 2 km from the nearest cache) and I stumbled on this one.
As I drove up I realised that I had tried this one previously from the wrong direction. Today by complete fluke (that was the direction I was coming from) I approached this one from the right direction. I must learn not to rely on technology so much as the gps decided that the nearest point to the cache was the middle of the approach road! I almost gave up at this point but then I thought I am here now and from the right direction so I might as well try it and see. I followed my geosense and found a logical parking spot that was less distance to the cache than the approach road! From there it was a relatively easy walk to the cache. I managed to find the path which was even better as it was dark! The cache was found easily once I walked around and the log signed. I then recamoed the cache and left what I am sure is a very beautiful park. With the batteries on my phone almost out - I decided to call it a day or night.
Thanks for the cache maccamob.

What a beautiful reserve! I've been here a couple of other times in the past but not during such lovely weather and not from the main car park. It was pretty easy to spot the likely hide. I used a stick to poke around a bit just in case there were snakes around. Really enjoyed being here today, thanks maccamob!
Found while out on a lunch drive from the caravan park at Werribee. Lovely area, enjoyed the walk - and the cache. Out by quite a few metres, but the hide was pretty obvious. Walked back down to the ford before driving over it. Thanks for the hid maccamob

On the way home from the group assault on Eagle Rocks and this one had been on the radar for some time as I used to visit this area as a kid. We had picnics here but it wasn't as developed as it is now. Going to give it a fave because it is a great place for a cache and for the childhood memories. Thanks maccamob, another well positioned cache.
nice easy find. gps was out a bit but logic was right and made the find in quick fashion
Nice easy find while on my way home from work. I also took the Travel Turtle Geocoin. I'll send it on further adventures shortly.

Attempted this one today but hadn't read the cache page properly re the direction of approach. I came from the SW and was greeted by a flooded road (I think only 2-3 feet) but too much for my low lying 2wd. I will be back.
[:(!] Went for afternoon of caching with the geowife and this was one of them.

Today was a very hot day, so what a better way to spend it than doing a bit of geocaching I was out and about with Pathfinder24 and Ostara74 and this was my find no.6 of the day. We parked the car in the best shadow we could find and strolled along towards gz and was imediately greeted by several flies that bid us a warm welcome. The cache was a fairly quick find and there were even more flies guarding it which was very pleasing indeed (or...). Signing the log was done very quickly and we went back to the car without hanging around too long. A very nice view from gz though
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Norway

Ostara74, Ellesaich LouiseAnn, LouiseAnn's partner and I headed for the Pykes Creek Reserve armed with kayaks planning to get some of the water only caches in the area. The plan was soon changed when we arrived, the wind was very, very strong and the water was very choppy. This made Ostara74 and Ellesaich a bit nervous. We decided to try for one cache, just across from where we put in. After a long but reasonable uneventfull paddle we were at the GZ in question but we were unable to get onto the shore to find the cache due to the on shore winds and the chop and wake from power boats. We returned to the cars and had awodnerful lunch instead. After Lunch we packed up said goodbye to LouiseAnn and her ever patient partner and we headed for home. However, we were quickly distracted by a winery close by, and after visiting them, we were inspired to take a more seanic route home and find some caches on the way. I had been here before and thought I had found the cache, but it must have been an older version. Ellesaich found this one after a quick search. This was cache find number 6 of 6 for the day. Thanks for the cache, maccamob.
I found this cache together with Pathfinder24 and ellesaich on a very hot day. This was my fourth of five finds today.
After spending the first half of the day by the Pykes creek lake we were heading home but made some stops on our way for some caches.
The cache was retrieved, the log signed and then we were quick to get back in the air conditioned car.
Thanks for the cache maccamob!

The Adventure:
The force was guiding me today. I needed to test the work the service droids did to the Jedi Cruiser. So I took it for a spin.
I had known this cache was here for a while, this was a place I had visited many times over the years since I got my licence. It has changed a lot since then.
I parked the Jedi Cruiser and head for the path leading to the cache. Looks like the Stormtroopers has improved their aim as the was scorch marks on the ground, either that or Jawa's were tinkering and a power pack overloaded, or the more like explanation, local theives stole and torched a land vehicle that has since been removed. That is a more likely explanation that Stormtroopers improving their aiming abilities.
Follow the path and the general direction given on my location device. As a closed in to the location my device was pointing in once direction, however there force was guiding me to look else where. Trusting the force I soon had the container in hand.
Took: Nothing
Left: A Shiny new Jedi73 Pathtag
I have had my Pathtags for a little while, and between a combination I things I haven't been out caching for a little while. I thought today was a good day to place one in a cache seeing as it is exactly a year to the release of the new movie.
Thank you for the cache.

On a random day out sore this on the map and seeing as it had been a while since i had found a cachei decided to come and find it. So we set off from the car park. Found it took nothing left nothing. Thank you for the awesome spot.
What a fantastic surprise on a beautiful sunny day. Well worth the drive down the gravel road. Cache is tucked away safe and dry so we dropped 2 tb's to continue their adventure. A big thank you for bringing us here, loved the short walk, the creek and the native trees.
Gps wouldn't settle but geo-sence prevailed
Nice area found accidenty when couldn't follow Dohertys road to Eynesbury
found on 20/07/2014 3:07 pm with Penguinchick on way to filling 366 challenge.

Found it! Wasn't sure where it was taking us! Great adventure. It could have been hidden better though, we could see it even before getting to the actual spot.
What an adventure arrived here after dark on an overcast evening..... Headed out with Geo- granddaughter in search of the cache....
GPS was giving us a hard time, at first it tried to send us out into the river, then into a mass of stinging nettles.... over a cliff.... and eventually it settled within 3 meters of the cache... quite an adventure
thanks to maccamob for placing this cache

Thanx for the great cache location.
I came to this area when I was a child with my family, we we're 4WD'ing back then, very different from then. I love it now and will most def come back with my cousins and all the kids for a picnic and a kick of the footy. My geo hubby and I had a lay on the soft grass under the sunshine(which we were lucky to get after the rain we've had) so peaceful, only 1 other person around we had the place to ourselves. signed the log and left a few goodies, tools coin tho.
Thanx again

I like this park, last time had to run down from the closed gate at the top but today it was smooth(ish) sailing down the road. Log is surprisingly a little damp but otherwise all in good nick. Thanks.

Found with Geoloch. Found with no gps & only using the logs. Cache was uncovered but is ok now
Well the ranger geomobile got lost looking for the back way home and ending up on the road into this cache so we thought why not make it 5 for the afternoon before we returned to the main roads and headed home in the pelting rain! TFTC!!
Wow, thanks for sharing this spot. Barely any water flowing over this cobbles today, we may have to detour past here when there has been some rain.

With work obligations over for the day, and a car-load of girls off to celebrate someone's teenage status, I was left to my own devices... so I decided to tackle Eynesbury and Alansee's new Oz Mega series.
A few months ago, I'd been stupid enough to see the spot on the map and try approaching this one from the south, resulting in a lot of jouncing and jostling, but a flowing impasse. Today was much easier, and I had the pick of the plentiful parking at the end of the road.
A short, but pleasant stroll in this quiet, pretty, place... well, it would be quiet but for the buzz-saw sound of the pillock on the dirt bike tearing up the entrance to the carpark.

Suscoe's first find of 13 for today as we wound our way through the outer west of Melbourne.
Arrived to a blocked road with heavy earthwork equipment being unloaded.
Soon made our way down to the carpark and we admired the terrific work done here, a well set out parkarea, very well maintained and a credit to the local government folks.
Walked to GZ and a fairly quick find after a bit of GPS indecision.
Log signed, no swapping, cache in very good order, dry as the surrounds.
Thanks to maccamob for placing this cache, nice to finally get here and find this one.

This cache was found as part of a cache run with my fellow TDC members Quasar3671, Blacklegend & Rebel Acts. After having this cache sitting out in the middle of a field of smiliy faces I convinced the boys to head here so I could make the find. After a short walk from the car park I had the hide and signed the log. Another smilie for me. Thanks
I should add this is cache 4000!

I had been waiting for some nice weather on a Monday evening to tackle the Werribee River caches by kayak and to clear out the area with The Demolition Crew. When I suggested that this Monday night was the one, plans were made late last week to arrive here with 2 kayak and four bikes. The run, as usual started by meeting at the first cache and from there we moved through Melbourne to the Werribee area. The highlight of the night was certainly the 10km+ kayak trip down the Werribee River to it's mouth. I recommend this to anyone with a spirit of adventure as the view from the river are fantastic. Soon after the Bluestone Ford cache we encountered a number of large fallen trees that required the caches to be portages over, under and through the obstacles. That was fun in itself and well worth the experience. But tonight was a personal highlight for two reasons; reaching 4,000 finds, and collecting my second 5/5 D/T cache. Thanks to all the CO's for a memorable night.

Found it today, cobbledicks would have to be my favourite place in melbourne good to see a cache down there. Thanks guys. Deneo & kitty'z.
Found on Australia Day with ludels and the geokids. Happy 100th cache to me! Kids did some swaps and I left a trackable behind. Nice spot for a walk. TFTC.
Found with Geokids and Geopartner (actually he's the one that dared poke around in the hole). Thanks for the cache, would have never known this place existed, and only 10 minutes from home.
What a beautiful reserve that shows many months of work have gone into it over the recent years. We did enjoy finding this appropiately hidden cache that was in good condition. Took small bar of soap and left 2 marbles and a bell. We took photos from near GZ - just missed getting a blue wren, that was too fast for us, in one of the photos! Pity that the bitumen road leading to the Reserve has so many pot holes but is was well worth driving over them to see the lovely old and new eucalyptus trees etc , bird life and the views of the Werribee River. TFTC maccamob and so letting us enjoy the beautiful environment.

Out for the day caching with Earthbound Chief & co. Another nice quick and easy find along the trail after attending the Intervening Days event and all of the nearby "Power trail". After a nice stroll the cache was soon in hand. I remember comming down here in my youth and doing lots of bad things to cars, and it would appear that nothing has changed of late although there is a lot of barriers in place now. TFTC....SL...TNLN
I was unable to find this hide 2 and a half years ago, but on returning found it at the coordinates within moments. I've got a lot of experience in the meantime and now have my eyes open a little wider when searching
After catching up with the cache owners for tea and staying nearby last night we headed off on a leisurely start to grab some cache in area we do not get to very often.
We had found the previous hide here and could not believe how much the area has changed since our last visit. At least now with all the well placed rocks there should be no more dumping and the area will only get better with time. There were a few cars in the car park but did not see any other people while we were grabbing the cache and signing the log.
We then went for a walk to have a look at rest of the area and met a dog walking muggle on our way back.
We went down to the ford but Diane's car had NO chance of crossing today.
Many thanks Maccamob for the cache and showing us the changes here.

An enormous amount of work has been done here resulting in a very attractive riverside parkland. Hopefully it will not be used as a dumping ground for unwanted possessions.

Drove all the way (from Werribee!) for this one.
I haven't been to Cobbledicks Ford for years.
It sure has been cleaned up a lot and is now looking much better.
I had the dog with me. I read the sign on the gate to go toward GZ and discovered no dogs allowed so we wandered off in the other direction.
Lucky we did. Not long after returning toward the carpark, a Council Ute pulled up near the gate.
I'll have to attempt this one Sans Canine.
Thanks for bringing me back here anway Maccamob.

Nice quick find, even at night. It's a lovely spot here. Shanahans Road was very flooded — I think the bluestone ford was shallower! My Fairmont made it though fine. TFTC
A nice easy find for us today while out caching with Kinkell1 and Tilley. This place brought back memories to us from when our daughter was learning to drive and she and her then male friend tried to drive through the water over the Forde and I ended up having to go down and tow them out and back to Melton.

Found with the 2 Wanderers. Followed a grader most of the way until the bitumen strip so no potholes that stretch but plenty on the other side! Ford not too full so we came out the other way. Nice easy find. SL Took keyring and left chipmunk. TFTC and bringing us here maccamob.

What a mission! Despite the warning in the description I tried getting in from the south up Cobbledick Ford Rd in my VL untill I found the river, I realised there would be no getting across so I turned around, had a bit of fun on thoes dirt hair pins while I was there and tried Hobbs road to get to dohertys rd but that was a dead end too! Went back around and followed Tarneit Rd up to Dohertys Dd and followed that all the way west to Dukelows Rd. Once I got this far I remembered a few months ago I was trying to sneak around from Melton to get to Ballan Rd at 11pm one night only to find that river which made me go right around!
Once at GZ I realised I probably shouldnt have worn shorts and thongs as snakes could be everywhere with the long grass and having no mobile reception really made me feel better haha. I found a stick and went about poking around some places the gps put me but was unsuccessful. Nervously looking around I decided to look elswhere and eventually found it! Was glad to sign te log and finally put this one to rest! I have left my stick on one top of one of the large rocks so the next cacher can use it to defend themselves against any snakes that may show up.
TFTC!

The area does indeed look very nice, though the (prsumably stolen) car is still there. At GZ we decided to go with our instinct rather than believing our GPSr's, and voila: the cache was in an obvious, perfect spot.
Thanks to Maccamob for bringing us down this pot-holed road!

Found this one in the company of RSF1010+SGGK. A nice area for a cache!

The road in was sure bumpy but GZ sure looks like it has improved and will continue to do so. A bit wary of the grass as I only had sandals on - I wasn't caching today. Just can't resist the temptation. TFTC maccamob.
Found it @ approx. 15:45
A nice easy find in a great sunny afternoon.
What a shame this area isn't open to the public.
Spotted an abandonded car in an ajoining field, obviously stolen as it was left with all doors open in the middle of a field.

Got him,had to scrounge up and down the bank a bit,I camped here 50 years ago...scrambling was much easier then.Brought back fond memories. This is my 100th cache.Thank you.
Found the cache today after much scrambling around in the wrong area. (nearly came a cropper a few times)but being the complete wuss that i am i wasnt game to retrieve the box from its hidey hole due to the large amount of spider webs coating the container. I have taken a picture or two of my GPS at the precise GZ but i will wait until i get the go ahead from the owner before logging a find...
