DNF I live about 2 kay from the site so I will try to get back ASAP and spend a good hour or so looking. Watch out for snakes and stinging insects
DNF for us again today. Seems to be a trend in Gympie. This cache needs checking.

I noticed the red light on the side of the tank but luckily it wasn't flashing. I wonder what that would have meant? Nice views over the surrounding countryside, TFTC
Found at 1645, our last cache for the day. Another hill with a great view. Thanks cooroy scouts.
First cache of a new day. The grass had been cut but the cache was safe and sound in its hideaway, thanks cooroy scouts.
Yet another wonderful location that we just wouldn't know about if it weren't for Geocaching! Cache a little damp, but otherwise ok.
Took in the view. Left footprints. TFTCSL.

Found at 1111 with Marg. A quick find at a liky spot. Cache OK but the log book was a bit damp. TFTC.
After lots of DNF's (caches missing) in the area it was a pleasure to see this one was still in place and to have a find. Lesson to self: always check cache logs to see if the cache has been found recently BEFORE proceeding to GZ - save a lot of time that could have been productive cache-finding time.
I walked down thru the grass to find this cache in good condition. TFTC Cooroy Scouts

Ms Wig wasn't too keen to go through the long grass, so I ventured in and found the cache after a short search.
Thanks Cooroy Scouts

Lots of long grass hiding who knows what, to trek through to get the cache. Easy find when you take the plunge into the unknown.
Cache is a bit damp but OK.

A quick and easy find however upon returning to the car we were accosted by a man from the house across the road. He was wondering what we were doing and was concerned with the cars pulling up here and going down to the trees.
I let him in on the secret and he seemed fine - at least he now knew that the cars pulling up are not doing something suspicious. Me having 2 young kids in tow also helped settling him.

Nice easy find on a very hot day no one around today to wonder why we were out in the heat poking around out here. when we got back into the car the little fuddleys had somehow managed to bring half an ant colony on board, what a mission trying to get rid of them all. [:(!] left gc
Been thru town many, many times but not up here.Great what caching does for you. TNLN TFTC
Cache was completely in the open so I covered it over again as per the hint. TFTC
Found it after a bit of searching in the surroundings.
Bag and container was a little wet and yucky (covered in mud and dirt) but notebook was bone dry.

On our first visit to the site today there were 4 council muggles mowing and whipper snipping the area. When we returned at 1200 they had gone and we were able to approach GZ which had been whipper snippered and actually revealed the cache. Council muggles obviously didn't notice it but on opening cache is was in a dismal state. The covering camouflage was soaked and covered in spider eggs. The log book was so sodden it couldn't be used. We cleaned cache out, put new log book inside and enclosed container in plastic shopping bag and rehid and covered as per the hint.
Hmm! How do I grab this one with no one noticing me I thought
Being the late afternoon, everyone was home or walking the dog etc. [:o]
It's times like this you need minties I thought. Well at least I've got the next best thing. A geomobile that looks like so many council, forestry, utilities etc's work cars. So I'll just park right next to the structure of interest and wander around
Nice easy cache find, but a bit muggly. TANKS for the cache [^]

Plastic bag and bum bag are wet and smelly [):] Container hadn't been closed properly, but log is dry. TFTC
Almost didn’t open this little treasure. I don’t like black plastic bags with “soft things†inside them. Howevery, it was in the right place and fortunately, turned out to be the cache. Certainly a different way of packing it. With all the precautions though, it's still been wet and is in need of a bit of TLC. TN/LN/SL.
Interesting find at 0550hrs. Cache container is now contained within a bum bag which is within a plastic bag. Very interesting hide.

Butcher birds here are pretty aggressive – chasing off my daily kookaburra! Big meanies. I was very brave, dodging the webs to get this one out, and back again too. TFTC. =’.’=
A quick find and no muggles, just a couple of curious chooks and a spider or two. TFTC

Those are some big tanks! We had to wait for the back yard neighbour muggle to disappear before we could duck out and grab this one.
The co-ords seemed very good and the cache was an easy find. We took a keyring and left a ball and marble. Thanks for the cache!

While Mrs Wonder poked around the front of the tree I sneaked around the back and snabbed the cache

Had some friends along for this one, must have looked a sight, five ppl searching a park next to a water tower, the fun of geocaching, TNLN, SL, TFTC
Number 962. On the way into Gympie we picked up a couple of elderly hitch hikers with greyish/white hair who claimed to know where this cache was. So we took them along for the drive. True to their word, we found the cache fairly quickly. I thought I recognised them, they turn out to be the "Human Travelbugs" Liz and Bruce from Adelaide. I hadn't seen them for 2 weeks. An easy find in the company of Danielle from Everlasting and Liz and Bruce. Thanks for the cache and showing me this spot. Cheers The Nanks.
Fairly easy find - just had to watch the neighbour muggle who arrived home just as I was walking suspiciously towards GZ. TNLN. TFTC.

Easy find but we did take the time to explain to the adjacent neighbours what we were doing because they were looking rather anxious. They are fine about it being there. TNLN. Thanks cooroy scouts.
