I mentioned geocaching to friends over a fab lunch at the Mapleton Pub - theyd never heard of it! This was the perfect first cache for them to find during a beautiful post-lunch walk Tftc!
Mrs and I did the 14km circuit down to Gheerulla Falls via Picabeen circuit and grabbed this cache on the go, thanks
Fun area to hide it. Found it after some searching, not where you think it would be.
I found this while on day two of the Sunshine coast hinterland great walk.It was mid afternoon, I had already walked a number of km over the day and the camp was just a few km away. I arrived to the sign indicating this pilularis walk, so dropped the bag against a tree and feeling a greeeat deal lighter practically bounced or flew along the path to gz.When I arrived near gz, I put my phone away and with the amount of choice available, the searching took some time. Eventually found the prize as I was moving away deciding to search closer to the path. Then I went and got my pack and walked on to the ubajee walkers camp. Thanks scrub bull for showing me this cool little walk in this amazing landscape.
Elina_maree and I drove up to Mapleton today to drop off our big boys who wanted to walk/camp along the Sunshine Coast Great Walk. We then took our younger kids with us to do some caching in the local area. This cache was on my list for the weekend for two reasons, it's an old cache and I needed the D/T for my Loop in a Year Challenge. It was a nice little walk through a lovely piece of the forest at the spot where we dropped the big boys off. The cache was easily located by GeoM halfway around the loop. When we got back to the start he was keen to go around the loop again but I was wet enough from walking in the rain and keen to get back in the car. Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull!
Found this cache on the little Pilularis track near the start of the Leafy Lane trail head. Before hiking
I found this cache on a nice little walk! Dropped off two trackables that I have been holding onto for 13 years! I hope they will travel far and wide now and I'm happy to have finally dropped them on the other side of the world
Found this one on a geoadventure around the ranges. Here it took a bit of time to narrow down the right tree. I was more distracted by the obvious spot until I noticed the suspicious pile of brush. Took the TB. Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull!
House sitting in Mapleton - our charge is one cranky cat. Not many caches suitable for me to find on my own. Today, thought we might be able to clear up a couple more.Walked in on my own. Went around in circles for a while before I located the rather obvious GZ. Would love to have walked further, but did not have water or proper walking shoes - and left MR D in the geo subi waiting for me.Thanks for the hide in a beautiful location Left TB for a rest.
We are on holiday with our son in Sunshine Coast.Today me and my wife have walked the Kureelpa Falls circuit. After that I went to the Pilularis to search for the Geocache. The forest presented a sad sight because of a fire.It was an easy find: the box wasnt hidden!Greetings from the Dutchmen.
Called out today to check this one and the container was cracked and the contents damp. Placed a new container and Logsheet back at the tree base for next finder ofthis Oldie ..
After visiting Mapleton a couple of weeks ago we were left with a few caches that we never had time to find. We put together a return plan for today and added this cache to our hit list.It was an enjoyable short walk through the bush to GZ where we easily found the cache as it was sitting out in the open. A critter or someone had cracked it open so recent rain saturated everything. We dried it out as best we could. The log was wet but we were able to still put pen to paper.TFTC
Wow wow beautiful thick rainforest

Considering if was raining on and off most of the day today (and at GZ), there were quite a few cars & a caravan at GZ. Even us crazy cachers. TFTC
I was in the area to meet a friend and go for a hike so decided to grab this one before we set off. Got to keep that streak going!

Scrub Bull I found your cache Pilularis on 26/7/2022, 11:40 am. This is my find 3849 and find # 4 today. Cache blindness, searched everywhere for a long time. Then found it with a doh! moment. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Walked out to check - water in the container so I dried out the container and left a new Logsheet to sign with a pencil, as for the sodden notebook - I'll try to resurrect if successsful I will bring back in a week..
Out for a walk further up the road and on the way back saw this cache and decided to stop and grab it. A nice short walk and a quick find. Found a pen on the ground before the cache. The log book us very wet. Managed to scribble our name on it. Thanks for the cache
Our gps was spot on. It wasn’t where we initially thought but keep looking and you’ll find it
Quick find after a nice little stroll from the parking area. Log a bit damp, but given age cache is in reasonable conditons. Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull.
An early morning drive up to this most beautiful scenic part of the Sunshine Coast for the third time this week.
Beaut hide and found without any problems, thanks CO.

Found our first Cache! GPS was a bit off, but doing a bit of exploring around will see you find it without too much delay!
Had a really solid look around. Lots of good hidey holes you'd expect to find the cache but to no avail
A short walk and a quick find. I’ll have to explore further in here one day. Thanks for the cache
Can't resist an oldie while we are in the area... Well I have the last several times I visited Mapelton, but not today! TFTC.
In the area collecting caches for two of team ‘gajet’s’ milestones. This is a beautiful area and I always love a visit. TFTC
Always on the eye out for an oldie. Not sure how this cache escaped my last visit to Mapleton, maybe I'm going blind in my old age.
Met a local who was on a half day sabbatical from renovation duties. He cut off on a faint trail just before our group and probably felt intimidated being followed into the bush. He confronted us around GZ and immediately got interested in caching. He even helped find the cache then admitted he also found the cache on top of Mt Beerwah. Thanks to Scrub Bull for keeping this oldie on life support.

More or less through not enough checking of the map, finding this geocache, would be a relatively short distance into what would become a very long drive on dirt roads. All of them signed as 'dry weather only' and '4WD recommended'. Despite my tiny hatchback, none of it turned out to be an issue. And I thoroughly enjoyed my time out.
This afternoon, there was to be an event on the Sunshine Coast, so I decided to maximise my day, drive up early and smash through some choice geocaches. And really, the list is just Scrub Bull geocaches. On my way up to Mapleton, I was annoyed at myself that I'd missed grabbing this geocache on two recent trips. I was reminded of my tunnel vision of 'one goal at a time' often to the detriment of my fuel tank. But really, argue with another trip to lovely places? Nah.
Google Maps got me happily to the parking location, where I pulled up not far from other cars easily twice as big as mine. Just proves they're unecessary, right? And so I headed towards a sign that had a good-looking word on it. Ah, a little loop track, that sounds nice. Off we go.
"Just a short, easy walk" says the description. And it sure was that. But also, serene and lovely. Even though I'd be in lockdown a few hours from now, enjoying the peace and outdoors with no other people around is just priceless. I walked along until I felt 'here feels right' and pulled my phone out of my pocket. Just a dozen or so metres away; perfect.
Into the bush, and I was struck at the sheer size of the stumps all around here. The trees must've been colossal as the stumps alone made me feel small. And among them I felt small as I poked about for the geocache. This took me longer than I'd like to admit, but I did find it eventually. And it truly is much easier than my blind eyes made it out to be.
Another lovely old geocache found. Another nice piece of the world explored. And another dirt road conquered on an inappropriate car. Thank you for showing me this place, Scrub Bull

Up in Mapleton for a weekend away. Geofriendly ptr and I had just had a delicious dinner of burgers and chips and felt it was too early to head back to the van so why not find a cache or two first! The afternoon light was fading as we parked up and followed the trail through the bush. The GPS had us going a bit further than needed originally but we soon backtracked to the most likeliest of places. It was actually my SO who spied the hiding place and we soon had the log signed and back In it's hidey hole. TNLN TFTC.
Quick find today on a road trip up to Mapleton, inspired by the Dakar rally current on tv. TFTC Scrub Bull!
On our drive north today, we took some back roads and took a slower quieter route. After leaving Mapleton, we decided to continue on this road and so made a stop at this beautiful rest area. Amazing relics of some old trees here where we parked the car. A short walk along the tracks and we soon found what we were looking for. Log signed.
Thanks Scrub Bull

I really enjoyed visiting Mapleton National Park and exploring to find this cache. I stocked it up with goodies during the visit. I would love to return to explore more of the region. Thanks for placing the cache.
Out with grannysmith1947 and Brislions, finding a few caches. A lovely drive and a short walk soon saw us at GZ. A quick hunt and the cache was located and the log signed. TFTC

Out and about in company of the Geo Dawg early this morning through the Hinterland. We battled our way throught the hordes tourist type muggles driving along the range at 30 - 40 Klm's per hour, You can certainly tell the travel restriction have been lifted.
What a great spot you've brought us to, The Geo Dawd thought he was in paradise
Thanks for the great Cache and Adventure Scrub Bull

Found with Touchstone7 on a trip out west of Brisvegas. We were up visiting my father and decided that a little side trip around an area I haven't really been to could be fun.
And of course, there were caches.
Thanks for the cache and sorry for the late log. Sometimes life gets a little hectic

A walk well worth taking. Wow it's not often you get to see such huge trees, yet these don't even compare the the 3 trees that have been cut down. The one furthest from the path has a hole in it that forms a great frame for photos. Cache was located by Genghicat while I got carried away with bad photos. Cache was found in good condition, but no tb. Tftc
Sunny day decided to walk out and check this one so a TB in my Bag can have a visit, all dry.

Went up here for a quick walk and a cache. It had us stumped and it took us roughly half an hour to find. But it was worth it. There is plenty of swaps in the box. Signed the logbook and left with smiles on our maps and faces.

Dropped in while supervising a Scout Hike. Round and round we went. It’s not obvious but when you find it it is! Thanks for the diversion- are the Scouts ever going to get into camp??
Up at Maleny/Montville today with family and couldn't let a scrub bull cache pass me by. Never been down to this part of the forest before. So peaceful and -oh - those massive stumps and log hollows! Actually got my first leech today, thank G the hubby was there to stop me freaking out. Thanks for another beautiful spot and find SB and for maintaining it Humbug.
Went with a friend to walk day 2 & 3 of the Great Walk, had such a lovely time in the National Park and decided on the way back to car when bone tired to grab this cache. Thank you for the smilie on my map and on my face on the day. Will be back to do some more in the area in the future. TFTC.
Found out and about checking in with Scouts undertaking a 3 day hike. TFTC scrub bull.
Parked at the Day Use Area and had a lovely walk down the trail to GZ. A few circles at GZ led to this nice cache. TFTC
