Finally found after much looking. Yet so easy to both find and miss. Clue was spot on. Thanks to the eyes of team trashy and the schoeiiz.
Omg- not the first time I came looking for this cache - at least today is clear unlike last time- it was raining misty and cold. And yes literally just found it hanging there. It was where we thought is was . Totally hidden in plain sight. Its now 15 m from the new fence. Spectacular views today. Truely love this part of the world. Cache in good order. tFTC
The cache wasn't connected to the fence. So it should be OK, even with fence painted or removed.
I think the previous attempter was a bit confused because there is actually no fence there anymore where there used to be. The GZ coords though are spot on, and soon found it hanging. TFTC
"Check likely places about one metre from far end of fence." Should be a very good hint.
needed a drive - came here to have lunch - find a cache - no cache found - in your enabling log you say you have changed the hint - hint hasn't changed from the last DNF - in any case a nice lunch had.
Should be replaced within the next few days. There has been maintenance work going on at the lookout.
I've had some medical issues but should be able to drive out to PILCHER soon and replace the cache. Patience, please. This is a wonderful place to visit.
Completed the trig & came here – no cache but a GREAT view – will replace next time I’m up this way – didn’t see disabled log before coming
Had a good look.. either we have lost our mojo or it's moved.. will watch to see others luck
I'm going to temporarily disable this cache and ask one of our Blue Mountains geocachers to replace it for me.
GPS seemed to be a little off, dont know if was moved, but found it and placed in reference to hint. TFTC
Found it using descriptions, as gps was off by about 10m. Beautiful spot and never been here before. Gorgeous view into the valley away from the larger crowds. Grand Canyon indeed! TFTC
A spot of geocaching exercise to get the family out of the house today. TFTC
What a beautiful spot. Not sure if the fires got the better on this one but i wasn't able to find.
Unfortunately took my wife’s car and didn’t have a pen. Can supply a photo for proof if needed.

Out for a drive with thomo31 and Team Merlin while filling in time while other members of the team go canyoning with friends a nice quick find. Now off for a warm cuppa out of the wind at the Hydro Majestic and a few more caches . Fantastic view. TFTC
Out with JJCC and thomo31 collecting a couple of caches whilst waiting for other team members to complete Juggler Canyon. Nice quick find at GZ and with the cache in hand we all signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache pjmpjm.

Found with Splitty Miller JJCC. After dropping MrT and some canyoning friends off, with James of Splitty Miller JJCC and 2 of his friends, we headed off to do a cache or two and then coffee at the Hydro Majestic to fill in time. A quick find and then checked out the amazing views. TFTC
Missing it on your first search always makes things harder. Now off to see the view. Tftc.
This was my first lookout (and first cache) for the day. I had the place all to myself, no other tourists. Enjoyed the awesome view for a while and then looked fir the cache which was found after a short search.

I drive around this area a lot though this was the first time that i had actually been to this lookout. A lovely secluded area with a great view. And a cache that was right where it should be. Thanks for bringing me out here.
TFTC - fantastic view – walked the valley yesterday – Rodriguez Pass Junction and back up Govetts’ my fav valley out of the big 3 !
Found without too much difficulty. Loved the views from the lookout. Signed the log yesterday.

On a cold Mountains say we drove out to Point Pilcher and were rewarded with a great view and a cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
A lovely day for a ride to a beautiful view and to find a cache. Cache was easy to find and in good order. TFTC
Spotted this this morning and read that we could drive to it. We needed to drive as oldmorty is limping around at the moment, the result of a caching expedition last week. Having produced a walking stick for him, he hobbled off after me as I headed to GZ. Found without any trouble. TFTC pjmpjm
Don't know how we have missed this cache previously but frazeydaze noticed it while drinking her coffee in bed this morning. Have been here previously before we were introduced to geocaching to look at the lovely views. TFTC pjmpjm
Great earlyish morning find after doing the walk out to Carne wall. TFTC!!!!
A lookout that I have not been to before. Travelled here for a quick find with Northumbrians.

Found today after a trip to Juggler and Grand Canyons with Noodles22 and a few Muggles. A nice spot to look down and reminisce on the day’s adventures

Streak Day #1321 - Found with dave8153 after going for a little cruise up the mountains. TFTC
Found it with snoopy1976 after we decided to come for a drive up the mountains. TFTC
What a spectacular view. Would never have come here if it wasn't for geocaching. Thankyou
Unfortunately the rain was just to much to go out in but we will be back, amazing views
I've often driven down towards this lookout to do the Juggler canyon. Great views. TFTC
Another great location that I simply would never find without geocaching. Thanks for bringing me out here. Cache found safe and secure.
This one really was worth the drive out here. Haanibal and I had a great day in the Blue Mountains, enjoyed every view and even the wind in the morning, not the cold though. Great area to discover.
Thanks + danke. MacPivi

It was a perfect day to go to this cache. Warm and sunny with a number of Waratah's seen, I nearly had the lookout to myself but instead met a lady who comes here to find peace. I can understand that as its a beautiful view. She paid me no mind while I found the cache . There is a downed banksia near the gz but it doesn't prevent Access to the cache . Tftc, awesome place, easy fave point from me.
Wow! Wow! and Wow! What a great view. After a fantastic GCA event at Dargan Arch, I cached my way home. I picked up the trig at the airport and saw that this one was only 2km away. That was as the crow flies as it turned out. Still, after a few bumps the car made it. I think the clue is meant to be easy so you don't waste time that could be spent looking at the view. What a way to finish a day of geocaching. Thanx PJM.
Thanks for bringing us here. Not only is it a great viewpoint but also we got to see the airfield. How many times have we seen it on the map and now in the flesh. Thanks again
Great spot. Lovely view. Last bit of road a bit of a worry with lowered suspension sedan but all good in the end. Tftc.
Never actually looked at this one before thinking it was going to be a walk in. Well today we discovered differently. With an Easy drive once we worked out there was no short cut across what looked like an estate and actually did have to go back out on the highway. Arrived to the smell of burning timber, fortunately it was a family having a BBQ. With half of the team off looking at the view we were able to duck off and locate the cache out of site of others in the area.
How would have thought you could tuck an air field up in the mountains.

Quick find, love the area, of course there was a car parked @ gz. Love the views. Thank u muchness
Great views. With an easy find, between downpours after the past week of storms passing through the mountains. SL TFTH
Just did Jugglers Canyon then Grand Canyon. Took som ACT venturers with us. Then back to this cache at end of day. Spectacular.
I had some time to kill while the better half attended a meeting, so I thought I'd head out to Katoomba Air Field for a look. Once there I decided to continue to Point Pilcher. After enjoying the fabulous view, I wondered if there was a cache nearby. With no reception on the phone to allow a check, I started looking in the obvious spots, and after a minute or so the cache was in hand.
Fantastic spot, and a cache for a bonus A great way to spend an hour or so. TFTC

Found on a trip to the mountains and what a great reason to visit this fantastic lookout. We had the place to ourselves, set up a great picnic - loved the views - and did the business on the cache. Thanks for bringing us out here - another picnic spot that we can remember for later times to enjoy again.

Thought this would be ideal to find after navigating my way through Pilchers Canyon for the first time.
certainly a different view from up here than from the canyon itself.

Glad to see this cache being found again.
Although it requires a somewhat tiring drive down the very bumpy road past little-known 'Katoomba Airport' . . . the trek to GZ is really very easy, all things considered, and you can park a couple of metres away from the hide.
(It's one of Banksia777's very rare drive-bys.)
The pay-off is the lookout and the absolutely gorgeous views over the wilderness.
Out here at the end of August for an unsuccessful seek, though then already 'missing' and temp disabled. Great views on the day, so there was no qualms for a return.
Drizzle and fog on a summer's day, and after a couple of days rain still a good dirt road out to Pilchers Point. Not much to be seen at the whiteout lookout and it was a damp stroll with a junior ASO and kieran6 to the GZ.
A cold back from a watery tree shower (Kieraaan!!!) and an almost elusive bison tube in hand ... back to the georeindeer for a pen, to discover a pencil in the cache ... signed, sealed and replaced in its hide.
Not much to be seen on the day with the fog - will add winter and summer pics.
Thank you to the ASO boys for the company.
Thanks go to the late Banksia777 for another stunning location, and to pjmpjm for keeping the cache alive.

After a prior DNF, we were more than happy to re-visit this 'Drive-by' that is so often bypassed! Amazing Views! That would be worth the walk (Only you don't have to) Perfect for a picnic .
Was also interesting reading about it's link to the Hydro Majestic.
Thanks for taking this cache on and maintaining it Pjmpjm!
A fav point from Us!

Drove out to Point Pilcher today and, as expected, couldn't find the old 'small' container anywhere around GZ.
Replaced with a largish 'micro' which is probably safer, given the muggling and the somewhat exposed area. It's also what Banksia777 had used originally . . .
Coordinates triple-checked for accuracy and the clue will probably meant that you hardly need to use your GPSr in any case!
Happy hunting!
This is a really fabulous lookout, and worth the longish drive along Grand Canyon Road from Medlow Bath.

Coordinates changed to:

Distance from original: 10 feet or 3.1 meters.
Only a slight change from the old coordinates, but I spent quite a lot of time 'waypoint averaging' with my Oregon 300, to assure accuracy.

After a decent seek for our 2nd in the '31 days of caching streak' a DNF, spoke to CO after returning home afterwards, and it seems it may be missing (Could be wrong) but a AAA+ location that should be visited more often. TY Pjmpjm ..............I shall return!
Have just talked with AOS and think this one must have been muggled. As a precaution, I'll disable it until I can drive out and do a cache check. Of course, a trip out here won't be wasted, even if you don't find the little cache . . .
We forgot to log this one. But now, more than two months later at home, we can also see that the cache came off line the day after our visit... Almost afraid writing this log. Have we done something wrong? (don't think so) Were we observed by some muggles? (can't remember anymore) Are we mistaking with another cache? (sheet missing in our travellogbook) Anyway, great place and wonderful view. Thanks for bringing us here. Grtz from Belgium
Quick easy find with the amazing view. Bit chilly but well worth the drive.

Reperio at 1015.
Having visited the Blue Mountains more times than I can remember to catch up with family, or just for the sheer pleasure of it, this was one location I hadn't laid eyes on it. As my wife and I were married at Evans lookout a few months ago, I was doubly keen to visit here and see if the view offered anything different. On the way to the Autumn Bluies event, and being such a beautiful day, we took the drive out here this morning, and not only was it a beautiful view, but we had the place to ourselves to enjoy the serenity of it as well. A wonderful location!
