I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, trail_geek, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:

* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:

* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by trail_geek and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Could not find any sign of this long I found cache- had read all the previous log entry’s- searched in and around all logs to no avail- an entry in child handwriting from this year in the cabin log book suggested they were there for the geocache but they have made no entry for this cache online. Suggest the cache is missing.

Too far up the track for us to get and the section was closed off.

10-Jan-21
The GPS coordinates led us deep into the forest and away from the campsite. Without reception we were unable to load the description stating it was near the campsite. May come back again to look closer to the campsite.

10-Jan-21
No such luck finding this one with LauraTheExplorer92.

GPS coordinates took us past the hut and tent sites deep into the bush. Others appeared to have searched the same area judging by the tracks to nowhere!

A nice way to end the day none the less.

Having walked in from Nanga Road on a bit of a day hike, my friend and I ducked off to discover this cache near such a lovely campsite. As previously logged, the ammo tin is in good condition however the contents have been burnt with the logbook unreadable. I was kicking myself that I didn't have a spare logbook with me however I did add a very small envelope which I signed that should be good for a few more signatures if it manages to stay dry. No ziplock bags with me either I'm afraid so if I'm out this way again in the near future I will come prepared. Thanks trail_geek for placing this cache here and for the smilie.

08-Sep-19
Unfortunately has been burnt.
The Ammo box has survived but the log is burnt and in tatters .
A new log is urgently needed.
Unfortunately we are not carrying one.
Could just scribble name/date on damp remains.
It was also found exposed and propped up on a log.... returned where found.
It is so sad that so many of these caches fall to the same fate.
TFTC at a gorgeous little campsite and shelter.
The weather today is very pleasant and we made a speedy hike in from Dwellingup just on lunch time with a further 7 days worth of supplies on board.

Headed out today with Cravo10 to Lane Pool Reserve and the Nanga Brook area to complete some caches that we have wanted to get for a long period of time.

Great day out in the bush, finding several caches which hadn’t been done since 2018 was a great thrill.

Put the car through its paces and it came out in good shape.

Thanks to the COs for their caches we had a great day.

Thank you! Spending a week on the Track hiking from Dwellingup to Collie.
Found this one before leaving camp in the morning. A prescribed burn has been through here at some point, and the contents are a little crispy and melty. But the ammo can itself is in good condition. Left it where I found it, a little exposed after the fire. But it should be fine as its out of the way.

Staying for a few days camping at Charlies Flat campground decided to head off to find this one. Plenty of tracks to take here and soon had a course plotted. After a relatively short hike arrived at the hut and soon had the cache in hand and log signed. Great container but not much in it and unfortunately had forgotten to bring any swag with us so couldn't add any of our own. Really enjoyed the quietness of this location and stayed at the hut for about an hour just resting and taking in the sound of the birds only. A real contrast to the camp site where the constant buzz of generators, crying infants and inconsiderate campers seems to be the norm. Thanks for bringing us here trail geek. Favourite point just for the quietness of this location, really enjoyed it (and needed it!).

Knew roughly where this would be as we had walked this trip before when doing sections of the Bibbulmun Track. Great walk in the late afternoon sun.

we strolled along the Bibbulmun track for a quick find at gz , only to relies, i had lost the pen on the track in. Being very resourceful nick quick smart fashioned me a what he called a bush pen and ever so neatly signed the log!

Not very many swaps in here.
left a collectible pin for the next finder to swap with

We are hosting an event at Nanga next month, so I headed out this way for some more event preparation... We also had some time to grab a couple of caches whilst we were here Smile

After visiting the Nanga Campsite, we headed to Bob's Crossing... This cache didn't seem to far away, so from what my maps on my GPSr showed me, I was pretty sure I could find a way to this one! I did not no where Swamp Oak campsite is but from my maps I eventually navigated our way to Gate "31z'... Approx 400 from GZ (as the crow flies Wink)

I set off on foot with my kids (5&2yr olds) and we had a nice walk to GZ... We even saw some emu's along the way. The kids were so eager to find this cache after our walk so once I spotted it, DangerMouse09 was quick to make the grab [^] TFTC trail geek!

Note: All was good until DM09 opened the ammo box & we saw what was inside Sad OMG, the sight & the smell of what ever it was that had taken over the whole container was horrid! After some time I worked up the courage to remove the contents... Amongst the pile of slop was an open packet of Beef Jerky & Ketchup Satchets, so I can only presume that was what was growing in there [?] I did my best to remove everything (including the logbook) as all was a mess... Before replacing as found, I placed a new log book although the container still needs a good washing out Twisted

We stayed at swamp oak camp for our 3 day camping holiday and was excited when we found out there was a geocache just a little hike away from our camp. We met some nice people and introduced them to geocaching, and they seemed really keen. Nice cache, wasn't too hard to find, but we enjoyed the hunt. TFTF!!

On a run to explore Dwellingup and chase down a few caches in the area. A beautiful mild sunny day, just right for a walk in the bush. Smile
This was our 6th for the day and we walked in from gate 21 which ended up not being a long walk. There was no one in the camp as we went past - probably as it was late Sunday afternoon but we were impressed with the facilities and the cleanliness of the area. [^]
Onward to the cache which was quickly found. Signed the log and took the box of clips as a swap for a tape measure. Also left one of our stretchy lizards, one of our OZ mega pathtags and a Canada GC.

Thanks for the cache trail geek - we enjoyed the walk.

01-Oct-11
Fantastic day to be out in the bush! The first hint of summer, with a very warm 27 degrees today. I was thoroughly enjoying driving around in our 4WD in the Dwellingup bush, and this was the first cache we stopped at.

I parked at Gate 22 and walked in from there. I didn't go all the way to the hut, but I could hear that there were quite a lot of people enjoying the hut today. I was happy to make a quick find of the ammo tin.

I was planning to go on to more caches further along the river, but when I returned to the car I could hear a hissing sound, and while I was hopeful that it was an insect, I had staked a rear tyre, and that brought an end to our caching activities for the afternoon.

So after changing the tyre we headed off to the mountain bike track and did a few practise laps in preparation for a race in a few weeks, and then into town for dinner.

Thanks for a lovely cache trail geek.

29-Sep-11
No need to phone a friend today, but I brought xtineclark along with me Smile Had a nice stroll up the hill, enjoyed the (very) small part of the Bibbulmun Track we experienced, lunched at the campsite, and found the cache on our way back out. TN(except photographs)LN(except footprints). Thanks trailgeek!

WOW! We are super impressed with the hut (having never seen one before). Kudos to the people who built them and to those who now maintain them.

We parked at Gate 22 and had a really nice walk through to the hut. Absolutely beautiful part of the country.

I think someone said in their comments that this was close to being one of their favourites? I can see why...

We dropped our packs off at the shelter, had our lunch and a short rest then made a quick find of the cache. TFTH

We took a morning stroll to find this cache thinking it would be a fairly quick find. Upon arrival at our GZ we searched high and low and then spread out to search further a field in every likely spot a geocache could be hidden but no cache was to be found. Since Ians' GPS had been giving some "interesting" readings of late we regretted not bringing the Magellan as a back up as we suspected it could have been us that was out but then the cache hadnt been found since last November so it may well have been missing.

Recalabration! We were off in a completely different direction, this seemed like a more likely area much much closer to the hut than we originally were. Within minutes we the cache was found! We cleared the box of some rubbish and a coke bottle that had been left in it, signed the log and rehide it ready for the next finder.

We haven't been to Swamp Oak for nearly 8 years when we walked the Bib track from Dwellingup. Time goes by so fast.

thanks for bringing us back to this lovely spot.

04-Jun-10
Set up camp at Charlies Flat and walked "as the crow flies" to this cache just over 1 km away. MY GOD what a hike! We are definitely not fit. I thought the top of the hill would never come...and then had to go down the other side..which meant coming back up again before the big decent to our camp. Thought about walking around the road but it would have been dark by then so had to just wrestle the rugged terrain again. Good for the heart and fat burning though...and justified the enormous meal we ate later on! Thanks for the incentive to get off our bums and away from the camp fire. Nice to see another Bibulumun track camp too...we visit the one in Mundairing frequently for picnics. Decided the cache was lacking in "treasures" so we took nothing but left a stationary set. Did this with Celtic Crusaders on our winter camping weekend in glorious Dwelly!

Not sure we got as close as it is possible by car despite a 4WD. Ended up being about 1Km from the cache and after a good walk with the kids leaving arrows made of sticks we found the cache and also found our way back to the car. Maybe some parking coordinates would help people.

Made a detour (well, took the scenic route) on the way home - needed to find a cache of 1*/2.5* combination to get the final cache done for 'The Well Rounded Cacher' competition.

This is the first cache I have done of the many in this area, so will be back to explore properly, allowing the caches to be my guide. Today was a lovely taste of this beautiful forest.

20-May-07
This was a funny cache! We dragged along 7 children and 2 other reluctant adult cachers (who would have been happier sitting by the camp fire sipping hot chocolate!)We took the more "challenging" route and totally bush bashed for an hour up the side of the hill- realising later that we parked in the wrong spot and got back in 10 minutes. After much whinging, whining and stiffled giggles (by us) we found this friendly cache! Unfortunately, we haven't converted this tribe to the virtues of geocaching but we had a lot of fun. TNLN.

13-May-07
Found in the company of a lot of friends. We walked in from the lane pool area, about 600m along a nice track. The hut was occupied so we skirted around it and made our way directly to the cache. 10 people looking made it easy to find. As it was a first for some of the people they seemed almost mystified at the concept of finding something so small hidden in such a large world. Dont you love technology ? We took nothing but added a compass and a magnetic frog so the cache looks a bit better stocked. After the cache we went to the hut and had a chat to the people camped there. One guy was doing the end to end walk and had posted his suplies to himself at various towns along the way. Thats something we have never thought of doing. Clever man. Thanks for the great walk Aushiker
