On the eighth of March 2007 I placed this guy, gee that is a long time ago, can you remember that far back. This cache along with over a hundred and fifty others have been adopted out to other folk who I hope are happy to look after these guys as the ageing Bushfire has developed a health problem that will only get worse so a big thanks to all these great friends. Finally, I must thank my good friend n0w0rries for looking after this guy as it has got to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands. And lastly, I will give it another favourite because I can now. Thanks for all the great logs that have been placed over many years.

While attending the event nearby, n0w0rries +Wife and I snuck off to see if we could find this hide.
And I guessed correctly.
Thanks, Bushfire. Another fun cache to work out and a crafty hide.
It's my honour to be the last person to log this cache before it passes into the excellent care of n0w0rries.

Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Out and about with +Wife and Eve The Staffy for International Geocaching Day 2023.
We headed down to Geelong first to catch up with Bushfire for a Morning Coffee Event.
This was one of the caches that we found whilst in the area.
Thank you for the cache Laurie, I would be very happy to adopt this listing from you.
Cheers, Rod.

I’ve been eyeing this one off for a little while now and finally had the opportunity to grab it today. Knowing the starting point was very helpful as I often go by there. Short work was made of the clue to find GZ and a short search proved successful in finding the cache. Cache and log are both in good condition, must be due to the little frog we found guarding it. TFTC.
Oooh, I am happy with this hide! Feel like I’m starting to get used to the way that Bushfire thinks. Know your CO!
When I started reading the clues, I knew exactly where we were talking about. As a new Geocaching enthusiast, this was one of the first places I started thinking about releasing a cache myself.

Maybe I should change this caches name to water by reeds as it has been under water for some time but all was still there but as I thought a little soggy but the log book is still dry so to make certain it is out in the sunshine along with the stash note. A brand new container has been place but shortly I may take the old container back but if you decide to have a look for this cache make sure you have you insect repellant on as they are breeding well in all the water that is still in the area.
Due to all the water that is around this guy may have floated away but when the water recedes low enough I will check it out. It should be still there but may be a little soggy.
For Father's Day my family said I could go and do whatever I wanted today....of course spending time with the family was on the list but so was geocaching :p.
The layout of the cache description had me going over and over as I kept losing my spot !! My brain struggles with so many words clumped together.
The kids wanted to play at a park and I chose the one closest to GZ so I can collect the smiley.
Thanks for the cache!! All in good condition here

**Found after attending Bushfire's Geelong Event**
Chasing a few caches with The Empire after attending the **DO YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE!** events
A fantastic day to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. This one had been in the solved pile for a while so it was great to be able to swing past and make the find?
A nice straight forward find here. Left my mark on the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Bushfire. Appreciate your efforts.

I was at the nearby Bushfire event when the topic of this cache was brought up. Dromaniax, chooknchunk and RoamingHowie and myself hadn't made a find on this one as yet so off we went. Hunting around at the coords we had, nothing was located, another set of coords appeared so off we went to those but the same result. Well lets head to Darwin and start afresh. We ended up in the first location, and with a bit better look around, the cache was located and the log signed.
Thanks Bushfire for placing this cache and adding to our game.

An early morning as I packed up camp at 6:30am before leaving Bendigo to make it to the Geelong coffee event and CITO.
After speaking with a few people I joined Dromaniax, chook (of chooknchunk) and micaparamedic in search of this cache. We set off to one persons coords and set about searching in a likely spot but didn’t come up with anything. With another in our group having a different set of coordinates we set off to the opposite side to explore those. Again nothing, so we returned to Darwin and reset our location, back to where we started. After a thorough and deeper look we soon had a cache in hand and all our names were in the log.
Time to grab some breaky at the cafe and head off to the CITO.
Thanks Bushfire for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Chook had worked on this puzzle long before today and has been eyeing it off since. Today she was attending a nearby event, and it was just way too tempting to wander off to find this cache that has been sitting there waiting for her. Joined by Dromaniax, Roaming Howie and Micaparamedic, we all went to the calculated GZ, which matched the hint but initially were unable to find the prize. Doubting the calculations, we headed off to Darwin to try again. Realising we can't have been too far off, we returned to the calculated GZ and this time came up with the goods, which were in great condition. TFTC and puzzle Bushfire, and for showing us this interesting "island".
We were at the nearby Bushfire event, and we were talking with chook of chooknchunk, micaparamedic, and RoamingHowie, we the topic of this cache came up. As none of us had found the cache, we decided to head off to find it before going to the nearby CITO. We headed to the coordinates that one of us had and had a look but found nothing. So we headed off to another solved coordinates and again found nothing, so we made some new calculations which took us back to the first place where chook made a quick find. After all our names were in the logbook, we replaced the cache and headed back to the event before heading to the CITO. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, Bushfire.

Quick find after a short walk from our home on wheels, we had checked out the maps of the surrounds and found a likely start point then we had a short 300m stroll to the entry point , then on to the new co-ords where the cache was located

After completing a nearby cache we headed for this one while on the hunt to fill our mystery month challenge.
Crackers tried this one from home. Picked the correct starting point but messed up the projections somehow and ended up hundreds of metres from where we should have been. Some re calculating at GZ and the old face time to _BFMC_ to confirm came in handy today. Wasn't long and we were on the right track.
A lovely large park. Lots of dogs loving the open space. Man, Border Collies can run fast!

A quick find after completing another cache that finished nearby as part of my mystery month challenge. Sorted out my numbers and set off. Arriving at GZ I checked the obvious spots without success. Eventually resorted to the hint which gave me a new focus point but no immediate prize. Eventually I realised the self replenishing camo was more thorough than I expected, further digging into the clue led me to my prize. Dry log signed and returned, TNLN. Thanks for a quick but enjoyable mystery.
Note: the single pole referred to is laying on the ground, but its correct location is easily ascertainable.

My name's in this log after a visit with jimbo_80. I've not even glanced at the puzzle but shall hopefully turn this into a smiley if/when I get the gist of it.
---
Edit: Now I see how it works! Another amusing puzzle, vaguely in the vein of *3216*, which I also enjoyed. I also now better understand what jimbo_80 was doing on the final approach to GZ. Thanks Bushfire! Shall have to investigate more of your puzzles!

When I saw this puzzle I was totally stumped by the clue, it didn't make any sense at all, even though I was using Google and the suggested research methods, then one of them set up a lightbulb, aha, awesome!
I forgot there was another step so when we were at "GZ" today, I couldn't find anything that matched the cache, or the hint. Once I reread the description, did some quick calculations and we made our way to the real GZ. The hide almost tricked me but when I was a bit more thorough, I came up with the goods.
Thanks Bushfire for this unique cache

After a crazy week at work, I was on the way home early today and I thought it was a great chance to relax the mind with a few caches. I had this one solved for ages but not been back to this area for a long time. The area was a little busy but easy enough to get a park and set off. A clever use of an area that I didn't know was in our backyard until looking from above. Cache was very well hidden but thankfully I kept trying and made the find along with a dvd that should only be watched by adults thrown nearby [:o] Signed and returned as found.

This was a must for Geoturtle37 when she found that there was a possible pathtag to be had. A previous finder made sure that she wasn't disappointed.

Checked this guy out a few days ago and decided to replace the container and that was done today with all new gear but old pen that still works. The only difference is this guy is unpainted but same type of container. All good for some time. I will only say that if you find the rock you are getting close. A new path tag for the next finder.
Staying b over the road from this one fourth visit there were always muggles. But got it now. Log wet.vtftc
It is not the best caching weather today! AutumnTree and I both wanted a cache, but were not prepared to be out in hailstorms to get one! We studied the rain radar and found a reasonable break in the weather for some cache finding.
I nominated this one. I was very excited when I checked it out a little while ago. I was very familiar with the starting point, having grown up nearby and spent time riding my bike in this area with friends when I was at primary school. My cousin fell in the water in the vicinity of Broome trying to catch a dragonfly. A lot of this area was quite different then, but this particular part seems more or less unchanged.
So it was with absolute confidence that AutumnTree and I stood in the location as instructed and adjusted the coordinates to determine the GZ. Then off we went for a short but quick walk, keeping an eye on the weather. At the GZ there were a few likely hiding places, and a bit of negotiation was required in order to examine them more closely. In the end very close examination was required, and the cache was eventually revealed.
The container had water in it. We had trouble drying it out given the weather conditions, but did as best we could. The logbook bag is dry inside, but the logbook is dampish.
Log signed and all replaced as found, but with less water.

MaggieDot and I needed a cache for our calendar today, but while at our separate morning appointments it was hailing so we had to keep an eye on the weather. MaggieDot knew where to start this one so we headed off and completed the steps to the cache. It was wet....very wet....to be trudging around but we carefully discovered the hiding spot (without resorting to the hint - bonus points!). Bushfire you are a sneaky hider!! TFTC.
Another day of caching around Geelong and points west and more finds ...
I can see how Dr Owl and I missed this one on our visit (looks like neither of us posted a DNF). Moneydork made the find, I was still cache blind here.
Thanks for the interesting puzzle and cache Bushfire. Talk about lateral thinking and using available resources!

This was one of many puzzles we solved Thanks for organising the event home before our travels south. Today the job was to finish off the puzzle by hunting down and finding the caI qualified for the challenge cache as follows;e. Always enjoy a good puzzle.
Today we made our way to Anglesea for the Mega Event, including the official opening, and of course those elusive lab caches, before heading back to Geelong to the tackle the Its Puzzle Time series, and a pleasant drive through the You Yangs. And to make it a long and productive day, some night caching along Portarlington Road to finish things off!
Thanks Bushfire for putting out the cache and the hunt!

Wow, what a week it has been for me!! This time last week I was hanging around up at The Pinnacle in the Grampians with a group of intrepid travellers from all over the world, trying to formulate some feasible answers for the earthcache up there. Now, just a week later, I am here in Geelong feeling a bit sad that the awesome week I have had caching with The Green Geckos, then Gunnie69 and Ghost Gums is all too quickly coming to an end. But we still have most of today to fill in and we fully intend to make the most of every minute of it.
This was one we found during a night time caching run before hitting the sack in readiness for todays last hurrah. This one was just a short distance from where we have been staying. Didn't fully understand the title of the cache until I checked it out on the map - cool, who thought of doing that I wonder? Anyway, after someone thought to actually read the listing more carefully, it was off to the new gz (but not before having a go on the flying fox while there weren't any muggles around to witness our antics) where Gunnie69 quickly made the find. Thanks for bringing us here and for the smileys Bushfire.

Hmm, this one would have been a whole lot easier had Ghostgums, The Green Geckos, Mistraluna and I read the description... Instead, we focussed on out corrected coords for the puzzle and obviously came up empty handed... So, to the hint for starters, I noticed a couple of potential options and headed off for a look. Nothing...
As I was scratching around, The Green Geckos and Mistraluna were heading off in a common direction, so I figured I would tag along. Ghostgums had gone MIA but appeared a little later... In the new location, there was only one real place to head so I made a bee line to the obvious spot and swiftly unearthed the cache... Now that's better...
Out of the area to avoid the need for a blood transfusion, our names were added to the log and I raced back in for a rapid replacement. All done and after consuming way too much time, we high tailed it outta there.
Cheers Bushfire.

I cottoned onto this puzzle pretty quick after working out another puzzle using the same 'feature'. I've had the starting point sitting in my GPS for about a year, but haven't had the opportunity to get the cache until now. I followed the instructions and altered the coordinates, then headed to GZ. I had to resort to the hint to find the well concealed cache. Thanks Bushfire for the puzzle and cache.
I wasn't able to grab the other puzzle cache that used the same 'feature' as it's currently disabled, so I'll have to come back this way again.

I started solving this a while ago, but I got stuck with the location, so I put it aside. Then, I was soving another Geelong puzzle and suddenly I had a light bulb moment... aha... this is what I need for that other puzzle!! After that, it was a matter of going to the location. It appears my maths isn't very good, because I went to the wrong gz, 150m in the wrong direction. After a recalculated I was on the right track and found the cache in a much more likely spot. Thanks for another surprising puzzle Bushfire.
Found while out and about the long weekend with Rebel Acts. Had a great long day of caching starting early and finishing late. Some nice caches found in teh area. Thanks for the fun.
Oh I do love this one from the air. Great idea. Are there more of these?
Impressive structure.... and the coords were plotted to reveal the potential hiding spot. Thanks to the company, the hiding spot was spotted fairly quickly. That still didn't mean there was not blood as those sharp branches are like needles when they penetrate the Astrodome! The dome should have been girt by a hat!
Again, thanks to Bushfire and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Having circumnavigated Australia searching for an entry point, (odd to have grass on the outside and water inside) I checked in at the way point and headed for GZ. As usual for a cache from Bushfire it took a bit of circling before I zeroed in and claimed the prize. TNLN. TFTC
Out and about in Geelong today. I've had a great week staying with my Dad in Leopold and today I thought I'd go around town ticking a few puzzles off the list.
Thanks to all the COs for their efforts!
Once I made it to GZ I was shocked to see so many doggy toilet bags thrown under the tree! Seems to be a favorite spot for some reason. The cache site was free of number 2s and I was putting my name in the book in no time.

Worked out almost by chance that this and another mystery I stopped off at required paying a visit to approximately the same area. Decided to tackle this one first and worked out a pretty likely GZ, and after a bit of a look around.....knock on wood....there she was! Very clever hide that's well worthy of a favourite point. Cheers Bushfire. Three more to go to bring up 150!
Headed to Geelong and surrounds with Bogonghazy and Tess to clear up a few puzzles and challenges that we didn't get during our last visit.
This was a bit of a challenge but we finally got the required numbers and then off to GZ in the misty rain. Eventually found this well hidden cache. Thanks Laurie. Cheers Caz

Mum thought she had the right idea for this one some time ago, but never got around to checking. We were in the right area tonight, so thought we'd take a look and were soon signing a log. Thanks Bushfire!

In Geelong with brisal5 and locus cache for a weekend of geocaching and giggles.... We found ourselves near this one as I had left an important item back at our digs anyhow we looked for a while before I eventually looked in the right spot.
Thanks

How do you fill in a long weekend[?]
Head to Geelong with Mogni and Brisal5 for an event and a few days caching!
All up, I found 141 caches , attended 1 event and had 6 DNFs
We did a few series and enjoyed them, we met Bushfire and enjoyed learning about his considerable knowledge of Geelong's caches and we met Team Autumn and several other interstate teams while having a blast during the Geelong-Opoly 2015 event! [^]
All in all, a fantastic weekend.
Thankfully for me, I was in a car with brisal5 as he had spent time solving puzzles in preparation for this trip...so we came, we saw and we found!
Loving that these caches highlight these pretty views and areas. [^]
Suddenly it seems that almost every cache we are finding now is a Bushfire cache or is it just that now that we know who Bushfire is, they make us smile

In Geelong for the weekend with Mogni and Locus Cache. Yesterday we had participated in Geelong-opoly 2015 where we became known as 'that SA mob' we hope that was a term of endearment. Having completed the event to commemorate this series we decided to do the series....and any caches we were passing. We had to make an unscheduled visit back to our overnight digs. Something we should have was missing from the geo-mobile and we hoped it had just been left behind in our 'not-yet-really-awake' start to the day. It was and so onto this cache. After arriving at like GZ and no success without the clue we just had to resort to using it. Even then we nearly missed the hide. Mogni made the find whilst I for one just seemed to be making up the numbers. Thanks Bushfire. A Fav point from me.
A well constructed puzzle and hide. Thanks Bushfire. Was worried about snakes, but instead there were other issues- GZ surrounded by dog walkers' protest offerings- which we felt was ironic, having previously been at Barwon-Bell-Bird Balyang Cache by Bushfire minutes before sorting the first WP of that cache and answering question A. What is that littering all about?! Leave it, or take it surely?!?! Why would you bag it and then throw the bag into the trees, just to guarantee it takes infinitely longer to biodegrade??? One of the mysteries of the modern world to me, but seems to happen everywhere we go?? Anyway- TFTC- log damp, but sign-able. NLNT
Came to Geelong for a quick trip caching. This cache was the first of the day. Admittedly this puzzle had me stumped on one question when really it shouldn't have [I] So we started the day off with our first puzzle cache and of course we liked that! Such a gorgeous area for a cache! After a bit of a stroll we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the fun Bushfire.
#6178 We had decided to head south to Geelong for the weekend for a couple of very good reasons, one being that the caches down this way were highly recommended......well that's good enough reason for these little black ducks to decide upon a road trip. This GZ was close enough to our lodgings for the evening to make it the start of our Sunday's caching. There were a few people around and given an event of some description was on, there weren't too many to pose any problems for us. We enjoyed the stroll and arrived near GZ and Dad soon had the well concealed cache in hand, well hidden and in good condition. Our thanks to Bushfire for the fun little puzzle, for the exercise and for the cache, we very much enjoyed this today. Cheers [^]
Been wanting to do this one for awhile, I was was sure I knew the right location to start my search and as it turned out I was correct. With the projected coords the GZ was spot on.
Thanks for a Great Cache Bushfire

We were on the hunt for more puzzles, and when we were doing another around here we got the idea we were on the right track for this one, just as we started our field work on this one it started pouring down, but that never stopped us, we will never let rain stop us lol, after some quick calculations we were soon on our way to GZ, we never knew this place excisted, thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Was in the area grabbing the nearby hide and now it was time to collect this one Cache was well hidden and as in great nick.
Thanks Bushfire for the hide

Went to grab this fellow other night but time ran short so came by today. Had known location so straight here and walked across the south Pacific like a geojesus. Quick calc and off to Wp2. Had to resort to hint for the find, took travelbug and put cache back how its intended. Thanks Bushfire for another on the job find, you must be wondering if I do any work or study when my 9-5 notifications pop up!
This one has been on my radar for 12 months now.
With an hour to spare this morning, a quick stop at wp1 and off to Gz where the hide was quickly found.
Cache in good condition.
Thanks Bushfire for showing the local area.
Cheers

Finally we were able to log this Bushfire cache as number 300,which for us,was a nice milestone and who better to do it with. Easter Bunnies gave us this cache as part of a Father's Day Personalized Geelong Caching Trail last year and Undermind and I completed the first part but not being locals and with no Melway at hand,we were limited;but worked out what we needed to know using a Melway from the local service station. Alas, time ran out and this cache became another one of those:"I'll get back to it ones" and today we did. We also met the person responsible for setting up the nearby frisbee golf course as he and a friend were doing a few rounds. It took 5 years to set this park course up and is one of 30 in Victoria but nothing to California's 3,000 courses. The info board at the start of the course is worth a look. Thanks Bushfire for a great adventure. We dropped off a TB and gave this one a fav.
Whilst doing a nearby cache with who else but geordiefamily the head of the family realised that we were at the starting point for this cache. Glad someone reads the cache notes. So on our usual cache night we arrived at the boarding lounge. Worked out the co ords while waiting on the Tarmac for take off. Flew out from the humid position to arrive at destination GZ. Whilst geordiefamily signed the log I checked out the nearby native flora which impressed me. Thanks for another great puzzle Laurie.
Whilst caching the other day, geohubby realised we were near the starting point for another cache. He has to do something whilst we girls chat and someone needs to read cache notes lol. Parked up, walked to starting point and checked in coords ready for take off. Departed The previously cyclone ravaged area and cruised along to gz. Lovely night for it and not many mozzies, or was that eau do mozzie spray from 50 paces. Arrived at gz and landed to quickly find cache, sign log and look for another cache to do tonight. Thanks for the cache laurie. Good hide, clever puzzle.
Problem or rather should I say, Puzzle solved, before bogonghazy and I were off to GZ. Very apt Cache Name. My thanks to Bushfire for this puzzle and smiley. Our weekend unveiled many Bushfire finds, and as per usual, I was never disappointed. Always a pleasure to be caching in Bushfire territory. Cheers, Lisa
Took a bit of time to work this one out, and SUlly and I were pleased we did.
Thanks again Bushfire, always a great variety in your hides and puzzles

Had a quick look at this one last night and needed a cache for day 10 decided to do this easy mystery! Headed out for a very quick trip with Ogrebeast had this one signed and put back before you knew it! Thanks again Bushfire for bringing us here!
Decided after doing the other cache down here a short time ago that we should do this one for our August Challenge we did not know that this map excited here TFTC Bushfire
Had missed logging this one. Area deserted early morning. Cache in good condition. TFTCSL Worth a favourite for the fun.
The only thing better than the Barwon, or a geo puzzle, is a geo-puzzle at the Barwon! So I had to do this one asap, and since I know the area very well indeed, it was a quick find.
What a interesting cache
Myself and a fellow cacher had actually attempted this one some years ago now but just kept on coming up empty handed.
Fast forward to present day and l figure l will give it another attempt, and this time l wasnt taking no for a answer.
Did the required questions and on my way l was. I knew the cords l had figured out had to be pretty close to the gz and l was out by about 10 - 15 metres but before l knew it log book was back in its hidey hole after being signed.
Thanks for another excellent cache

We had had our fill of snags at the post walk barby, and talk had got around to a particular mystery cache that might end up in this neighbourhood. Someone dropped a hint and Riddell and I thought we should investigate. Following instructions, coords were obtained and a successful search resulted in the cache found at at 16:20. TFTC
Doing a bit of a stroll around the river and the CO gave us a bit of a hint to get us started.
Once we stood in the right place and crunched the numbers we were off into the wilderness.
Strange how the GPSr makes you go in a sort of hook turn navigating to GZ!
Glad there was no water in the second pond.

Having done the work got the right answers and then was to get the cache.
Well today was the Wedding of our Son Benjamin to the lovely Dempsy so what else would you do to pass the time away but get a cache thanks for putting one so close to where we stayed

Arrived a couple of days ago for a table tennis tournament and we caught up with the honeysuckers who had done most of the research and legwork, all we had to do was go for a short walk and help in the search at GZ, have since looked at the puzzle, liked the concept, great hide in the morning drizzle unfortunately we only had time for one as we needed to move on towards Melbourne but are looking forward to returning for a caching holiday TFTC Bushfire
Figured out the location of this one some time ago and the geokids were happy for the chance to come back to this park now it's been done up. GZ was located fairly quickly though making my way through the camouflage to retrieve the cache took a few attempts - love the privacy of these places once you manage to find your way in, however.
Thanks Bushfire

For once I used the Melways and you could have knocked me over when I found the location right there in front of me. Not being a local I would never have noticed this little feature without this game.
Once discovered it was just a matter of following the instructions and the cache was in hand and the log duly signed.
Thanks Bushfire for a very entertaining cache. My family back in Melbourne, have all been told to check out this feature intheir Melways too. My daughter, who is in mapping, was quite surprised when she saw it.
A fav. for sure.

Finally finished this one off today with the geokids. Took quite some time to work out the puzzle - over analysed really. Finally dawned on me where it was in the car one day having spoken with a friend about that location a few days prior not related to caching. A quick find by a newbie geokid coming along for the ride - she was very excited! Dropped off Miley the Elf Travel Tag that we picked up earlier in the day. Another great Bushfire cache - thanks!!
18/08/12 4:21 PM Find #1216 Its back out with Square Pegs towards Geelong to pick up a few caches and explore some areas we've never been to. We've had all sorts of weather with rain, cold wind and some welcome sunshine to help us along. It's been a day of clever hides and Bushfire caches! This one is well hidden and its a nice location here I even had a workout nearby. Thanks Bushfire.
This was a great idea for a puzzle. After scouring the maps we were able to spot what we needed. On a day trip with abl973, we stopped by and tested our numbers, and voila a cache. Thanks to Bushfire for the puzzle and hide.
An enjoyable puzzle that helped us learn a little more about the local geography. The penny didn't drop until a careful look in the Melways and a "I can't believe we didn't notice that before" moment. Good weather for a retrieval today with a zero muggle factor. TNLN TFTC
Wednesday 6th June 2012 (12.30) After all the rain in the last few days and it all flows through Geelong I have removed this cache for a short time as the river is just about to flow over the banks and we don't know how high it will rise. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Dad figured out the puzzle last night, as we were planning to go down the area where it is listed. The first part was very close to us, so in the morning we went down, and got the co-ords to GZ. Quick find after that, but it was fairly well covered.
TFTC TNLN. Thanks for teaching me what GAFF 1 means. We did one on this cache.

Nice tricky hide
Found TB inside the cache which has been survived from the flood.

I've had a set of corrected coordinates on this one for a long time and when I was last in Geelong wasted some time looking for the cached in th ark at my "corrected'' location. I realised my mistake when I went to log a DNF and with this fresh in mind did what was need to find the final coordinates. Sneaky hind and the 3 one similar I've found today

4th find of the day, and 3034th total find at 1:34:00 PM.
This cache has been on our radar for quite a while, but we never seem to be on the correct side of the river. Today we were able to enjoy a great picnic lunch before strolling down to the start point.
After doing the maths we headed off to GZ. Initially we were a little concerned that our method may have been incorrect, because we only found a small piece of timber (just as the finder before us discovered).
After interrupting Bushfire, by phoning in the middle of his gym routine, we discovered that we were in the correct spot. Luckily we were in a position to do a *small* bit of cache maintenance! (The cache is now a micro unless/until Bushfire changes it.)
Took: Nothing
Left: Bison Tube
Thanks Bushfire for the cache

As I&P stated in their log that they replaced this cache with a bison tube after gym I ventured down to check out this guy and I could not find anything as also gambor stated in their log.
I have replaced the micro with a 400mm container and this is the third time this cache has gone missing.
#1 was an act of nature as a wind shear destroyed the location where the cache was located,#2 a flood which rose 3.2 metres washed the container away and this time it has to be that somebody needed the container more than Bushfire.
I will see what happens and if it disappears again I will change GZ because the area deserves a cache. A big thanks to ian-and-penny for their help today. Maybe I will put it out on the little island and then you will have to wade out to grab a find!!!
An island girted by water and reeds would be in order here, don't you think. The water is not very deep but very wet.

I.ve worked out the coordinates in Google Earth, than confirmed them on site (i was out by 0.001' in Eastings and spot on in Southings), but on ariving at GZ failed to find the cache. I'm 95% sure i've found the right spot (rock sitting on top of nice plank of wood), but couldn't see cache anywhere.
Girt by reeds just doesn't have the same sound as the original but sums up this spot totally. I took up bushfire's challenge and did this one without reading logs or the hint. Checked it out on google, drove here, landed south of tassie. Thought about the direct route but took the circular route via Perth instead. Then followed the instructions to the well hidden cache was found quickly. Thanks to bushfire for the great little puzzle and highlighting a piece of Geelong parkland I knew nothing about.
As Buckleysbabe reported in her log about the bags of dog pooh in the area it was time to check and gather up the lazy dog owners bags and dump them in a close by bin that they could have easily done themselves. Some people just don't care.
Hmmm...seems someone has decided this is also a good site to off-load their bags of dog poo. Yuck!!
Found it at 1050, few people about so a short walk and the cache was quickly in hand. Liked the mystery and the cache, thanks Bushfire. SL. cloudglider
