Also didn't find it. Got a nice photo of the golfballs, so the side trip wasn't a complete waste...
Same here. Could not find it. GPS was spot on, but after looking at the hint i believe it is gone now.
Couldn't find it. Pretty sure I had the right tree but no luck. Could be just me but I will be interested to see if it is still there.
Great to see both "balls" back to their former glory after recent deflation by protesters.1st time my other eyes has seen them up close. TFTC.
This was the last find of our very enjoyable swing around the upper South Island. The 'golf ball(s)' remind me of the one visible from my front lanai in Waialua, Hawaii that's atop Mt Kaala. TNLN TFTC
We were not going to do this cache when we left home but couldn't resist visiting the area when we were so close. Cache was obvious when we drove up. Replaced it with a bit more cover. Wondered why it had the extra cover - reading the logs now we can see why - at the time we thought it might have been to match the covered satellite dish. TNLN TFTC
Quick find as could see the cache holding container on our approach. I wonder how much they really know... TFTC
Nabbed after a sampling stop at Spy Valley near by, clever placement. Big Bro could do with a lawn mower. SL TFTC
Just passing so decided to have a look for this one. Easy find. Dish not quite so impressive without its cover.
Being so small just popped in a marble.
Tks.

Thanks so much for bringing me here - viewed it from the air several times and of course in the media but never in close proximity. Must still be working without its balloon/golf ball whatever! -coin (93)
Finding the DEFCON geogoin in a nearby cache inspired me to go find this cache and drop off the DEFCON coin. As this is possibly the only site in NZ actively contributing to the defense security of the country. Never been here before and felt a bit suspicious particularly after the recent attack on the complex. Had to wrap the geocoin in a plastic bag to include with micro cache. Cache wrapped in white plastic looks a bit like a mini Big Brother radar now. Cheers.
Scoop81 thought she was in a spy novel by John le Carre! Interesting to see the skin still has not been replaced on the satelite dish cut by ploughshare activists some months ago. I wonder what the GCSB make of the people approaching on a semi-regular basis. Very nice hide, befitting of the location. Excellent! TFTC
Almost gave up as there was no sign of cache at the hint location. But fortunately we did quite by accident, spot the cache partially hidden on the ground about a metre from the tree trunk. We think the cache had been disturbed by some intruder from outer space.Cache is now back where it should be. TFTC.
Actually, the original cache here was a virtual 'Spy Break 3 - Platform' (GC3384) that I set quite a while ago, so I know this area well Always nice to come back for a visit though. Cheers Gav [1812]
1885. This was our third time up here to find a cache - it still has a scary element to it as you get closer! However with the vineyards all around there can't be nearly as much privacy for the "spies"!
Thanks

Used clue so as to not stand around in this spot for too long. We used to have 20 acres just near here so know the area well, Mr Explorer even appeared briefly on a tv show that was poking fun at the base - they panned around the area and saw Mr E out spraying his olives. TFTC.
Did the original on a trip last year and felt very exposed, decide to do this at night. No better!! Feel just as obvious by night. Thanks for the fun.
Waypoint very accurate here, and cache oh so easy to spot.
Anyone for golf? Good to return here. Thanks

Hmmm, there is a place just like this near Alice Springs, also shrouded in mystery and contraversy.
Cache was easy to find, once the GPS settled down.
Wonder why that took a little longer than usual[?]

Our 6th cache for the day .. and only 10:30 am [:-)]
Another Jnr beltfamily (a 4yr old) find.
- "Not Another Micro!" Pin for Mrs B.
The ECHELON nearby listening station looks like something right out of a spy movie .. a great place for a cache! At the start of "W" road we were slow to accelerate. The driver in the van behind us seemed irritated, so we let it pass. As we followed it up the road, I thought it was suspiciosly "unamarked", and expected it to be one of the secret base's employees... as it turned into the Base gates, I wasn't disappointed

After two attempts to find the original cache here I was hoping for better luck, and I had it I'm so glad there is still a cache in this area as it's one of those interesting spots to visit. TFTC

Resisted the temptation to head out there lastnight, but did head out with my good wife Niteowlnz. Still love the view from the cache site and it was nice to do another one of the Rae's caches
