After visiting the Capricorn Caves and doing a tour to the Cathedral cave we stopped at MT Mary on our way back to our accommodation at Yeppoon and found the cache in its hiding spot. Cache container is a little worn and starting to split on the bottom but contents are fine but had been no rain for awhile. Thanks for bringing us here
Thanks for this one random find didnt have the app installed left a treat in the container
On holiday from SA and thought we’d take a drive off the main roads in search of this one.
Loved the slightly challenging walk to the location and thrilled to have found it! ?? Thank you for the opportunity to explore a place we would never normally visit!

Excited for a day of solo exploration, I set out to find the geocache. Equipped with my trusty GPS device, a pen, and a small bag for trading items, I was ready for the adventure that awaited me.
• I arrived at the starting point, a local road in the afternoon. Reviewing the cache details, I obtained the necessary information and coordinates to guide me towards the hidden treasure. With a sense of anticipation, I started my journey.
• The trail was well-marked, and the weather was pleasant. As I walked, I immersed myself in the beauty of nature, enjoying the peacefulness that surrounded me. The solitude of the solo expedition allowed me to connect with the environment in a unique way.
• Relying on my GPS device, I followed the coordinates towards the geocache's location. The terrain gradually became more challenging, adding an element of excitement to the journey. I remained focused, eager to discover the hidden treasure.
• After a pleasant hike, I arrived at the designated coordinates. Using my observational skills, I carefully searched the area, paying attention to potential hiding spots. It didn't take long for me to spot a well-concealed cache. With a smile, I retrieved it from its hiding place.
I opened the cache container and found a logbook inside. Signing my name and date, I documented my successful find. I also took a moment to appreciate the small trinkets left by previous geocachers, considering whether to make a trade.
Satisfied with the experience, I closed the cache container and returned it to its original hiding spot, ensuring it was well-hidden for future seekers. I took a moment to absorb the peacefulness of the surroundings, cherishing the solitude of the moment.
With a sense of accomplishment, I continued my journey, taking a leisurely stroll back along the trail. The solitude allowed me to reflect on the beauty of nature and the joy of geocaching. The peacefulness of the solo adventure left me feeling rejuvenated and connected to the environment.
As I reached the end of the trail, I arrived back at the starting point along the road. I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to embark on this solo geocaching adventure. It had provided me with a chance to recharge, explore, and enjoy my own company in nature.
Before departing, I took a moment to write a note of appreciation in the cache logbook, expressing my gratitude to the cache creator for their effort in creating this engaging experience. I also left a small message of encouragement for future geocachers who would embark on this solitary quest.
With a contented heart and memories of a fulfilling geocaching experience, I headed home, carrying the satisfaction of finding the cache by myself. This solo adventure had reminded me of the joys of exploration and the serenity found in the solitude of nature.

Thanks for placing the cache here Sam Frenchman. We followed a geotrail in and easily found the cache. Upon exiting the bush we met a Dad and two children who are just the perfect age to start geocaching. After a chat we loaned our devices and trailed them into the bush. Their excitement on finding the cache by themselves was priceless. Happy geocaching guys!
Day 5 of the CQ reflection Tour for ruzzelz. This has now morphed as a week long holiday in Yeppoon, with T4mmmy, Just-a-Trifle, Fangsoki, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and Prime - we are the YEP23 mob.
A few memebers in the group had previously found this cache so a small party headed off up the trail in search of the prize.

With the YEP23 group when we headed out of Yeppoon just to get this cache. A few of the group had found it previously so the rest of us headed in to get the cache. We took a bit of a winding route but got to the cache eventually for a quick find.

The animal kingdom was brought into this one.
The cache is easy to find, laying relatively out in the open as such, but guarded by 100 billion mozzies.
Not just the littleuns but their larger relatives were called in for the party too.
Killed a couple of million trying to get in and a couple of million more on the way out as the smell of my blood drew in all their cousins too.
The most insane moment as we are leaving is when the missus pulls out the camera and starts to take photo’s of some random bit of greenery.
I recommend a full body stocking for this one.
The hardest we have done to date.

What a shame it appears camping is no longer allowed here. I doubt we'd ever leave!

Fangsoki, Pprime and I were joining KBreeAHH and Ponchomon11 for a long weekend in Cania Gorge. Having said farewell to KBreeAHH and Ponchomon11 early this morning, we decided on a day of driving for some older caches today after a day of serious hiking yesterday.
This was to be our furthest for the day, before we began our journey back to Cania Gorge to be back by nightfall. It was a nice drive around to this one, despite the rather gloomy weather. As we all got out of the car, our various devices all originally pointed us in different directions. After a moment or two, things settled, and while Fangsoki and I headed one way, Pprime decided to take an alternate journey and head further over to our right and up towards the peak of Mount Mary. Well, after a spot of searching, we found the cache, and then had to work out where in relation to us Pprime was. Yep he had decided to go up up and away to search. But it’s ok, we found his caching L-plate inside the cache and soon had him back down at our level.
Log signed, we headed back to the car as the heavens began to open up.
Thanks for the cache Sam Frenchman.

A long weekend away camping with 1MinnieMoo and Fangsoki as well as KBreeAHH and Ponchomon11, and with a rainy day forecast today we went for a little drive. This was the furthest north we got to today - bit of a drive in from Cania Gorge, but chasing old caches gets us to places like this. A gorgeous area too, farming paradise, interesting bumps in the landscape, like this one (which our maps called something different, Mount Hedlow, but maybe name has changed over time as does happen in this state). Navigation along roads was easy, but for some reason my GPS wanted me much further up the hillside, however just as it was starting to second guess itself and swing the needle around my companions called me to claim "found it". No need to get to the top it seems[:o)] - I wear the clown badge with honour. A great spot all round, and a great container. FP worthy indeed.
Thanks Sam Frenchman for entertaining me at this location.

1MinnieMoo, Pprime, and I rolled into this one next. This cache is what we called a "Q1000" - one of the 1000th oldest active caches in Queensland. It is currently the 559th oldest, active cache in Queensland.
1MinnieMoo, Pprime, and I made the adventurous far-out-of-our-way journey to get to this one. Thankfully, Google Maps led us straight there.
We pulled up and started to make our way to GZ. Pprime's smartphone must have been on crack - because he went a very very different way. 1MinnieMoo and I arrived at GZ and 1MinnieMoo soon had the prize in hand. I called Pprime to find out where he was He eventually stumbled down the hill to us. Clown
Not quite sure why this poor little cache has no favourites. I found it interesting and in a nice area. TFTC Sam Frenchman

Good like trek to find it. Well hidden and in good condition. Had a little ordeal with the partner trying to get over her fear of possible spiders
thanks for the mozzies. nice easy hike, no turning rocks over or climbing trees.
Decided to look for this one only using our new gps not phone's. Worked really good now we can find more remote ones. Tftc
Found with geo-son re-logging as my log is not showing on my logs..took toy car left coin
A short walk with the new cache and I saw the remnants of the old one, Signed the new log with RFC collected all the old stuff we could see, no log book though something must have eaten that.
All good here now.

Setting out for a day of caching to the south, I remembered that we hadnt done this one yet! No time like the present. It had been raining so we were expecting mud and water on the roads too.
Not dissapointed either. Its a pity that our windscreen washer jet has decided to pack it in though.
A stroll in the random direction of the cache got us at an impasse but we backtracked and soon Ratdog saw the cache. I didnt as yet as I was looking further up for a path, which would have taken us onto the cache.
We collected all parts of the broken cache and replace with a new container complete with contents.

Found easy enough but is in need of maintenance as you know. Would love to see this one kept as this place is beautiful. TFTC.
Found it, but this poor cache needs serious repair, no log to sign so I took a photo of what we found. Such a beautiful spot, I hope this cache continues, I'd be willing to help with maintenance if owner needs a hand, but I do hail from an area about 100km from here. The offer is there tho. Thanks for the cache, I'll fave it if it keeps open.
Found the remnants of the cache not much left of it but very nice spot thanks for the cache
Found this one ok after a short search when I widened the area. Cache container is dry at the moment but it is cracked and water is going to get in. It's such a great place and a lovely drive getting here from the Yeppoon end. Now to head off for The Caves.
We signed the log with the 20th instead of the 18th. Oops, we were 2 days ahead of ourselves. We had a lovely drive out to the cache, went the complicated long way of course, and came home the long way as well. Had a really good search around to find this one, but eventually got it. 2 grandsons with me plus Coco the dog. A great adventure. SL TNLN TFTC
Thanks Temingi - no visits for quite a while...was thinking of pulling it. Such a beautiful area through.
Asked by a cacher friend if it was still there, I checked this morning and it took a while to find but YES all OK.
Move area. Perfect camp spot. Left Charlie tb. Took tb. Tftc

Yayy our very first cache.. Came from the Caves side got a bit lost following our app as it led us onto the otherside of the creek but lucky I had local knowledge. We are now super stoked and hooked so thank you Sam!
Good cach. We have been paddling in that creek for years and never knew the cach was there. Well done.
895. after a trip along a nice quiet road, with a morning smoko stop-off along a river bank, we located the cache at 11am ( I didn't enjoy the cobblers pegs in the socks though,) Took TB- Rens&Rachel.

If you like spear grass, this is the place for you
After a scramble through the bush, I managed to find it and then spent another 15 minutes, removing all the spear grass seeds from my gear
I also dropped off a TB which I had grabbed from Plain Creek earlier this dat(TB1CR1M), this cache was wet and archived and had a TB in it. Silly me forgot to log the TB code number so I cannot pick it up from Plain CK nor drop it here, if someone else gets here before I return, please let me know.
*edit* OK, thanks to the cache owner, I now have the TB number 15/8/10
Cheers

A lovely drive in the country! Fantastic lake! Haven't been out here for donkeys years! Took Dinosaur, left Brass Bell.
New car almost broke down, came home part way in limp mode! Thanks for the Cache.

Thanks for a nice cache Sam. Family and I drove out here for lunch just a bit further on near the creek. It's a lovely place, too bad some people have to wreck it by driving all over the place and leaving rubbish around.
Anyway found after about 10 minutes, saw evidence of previous cachers (crushed grass all around cache location) but there was so many potential hiding spots I was a bit worried about finding it.
Anyway, signed the log but TNLN. TFTC.

Could fellow cachers please keep a lookout for a Richo digital camera that I lost somewhere today. (If I lost it here it would probably be floating somewhere). Thanks.
A lot of water out this way today. Got to cache site ok, dodging all the pot holes. I was intending to continue on to Yeppoon but could not work out where the actual road was under all the water, so turned back. Cache was nice and dry. I enjoy these type of caches where get to go somewhere interesting you have not been before. Took fan and left earing and hair clip set. Thanks Sam
Found within a few minutes, our first cache found in QLD! Grabbed the geocoin to move it along
Following from Snappers!!! comments, checked the cache today. Still there, and in fact packed with goodies. Noticed that the GPS fix is a bit variable though. First showed that we were on top of it, and then a couple of minutes later, same spot showed we were 6m away from cache.
Can't find it takes me 20 mins look everywhere within 15 metres find cache under the rocks everytimes and look cache missing or move other areas not G.P.S point not here. Please check it.
There was a beautiful display of water birds in the area today approx. 1000 magpie geese and black swans on the marsh beside the cache....very impressive.
Cache a little difficult to find in overcast conditions and an over exhuberance of rock covering. BUt eventually we found the prize and extracted a duck (bird) and TB and left a fan (for summer)

Cheap airfares, a chance 4x4 trip by a local and hey there's a cache here. Found after a search TKS TNLN
Came out to the creek for a spot of kayaking and thought I should have a look while I was there. Long time since I've seen it so green .Out: Mont St Michel travel bug. I'll drop it off on my way to South Australia next month. In : Xmas Drum. TFTC.
Found the site but the few thousand mossies make searching a bitter harder. This is one of great hidden areas of Rocky and well worth a visit. Took the Frog TB for a trip and left the Mont-Saint-Michael TB I collected from a site in Western Australia.
After dropping off Mrs Bundy at Seeonee Park for a Scouting conference, I headed out for this one. I know roughly where it was, by the description, as I have been on canoeing camps at that creek before. I did take the long scenic route around on the way. A little bit of rain did make the trip a bit more fun, as a two tone paintjob (green and muddy brown) on the Bundymobile was well overdue.
As it happened, the cache itself took a bit to find. Spent around 20 minutes going in circles, as the arrow that must be followed sent me on a merry chase. The close by area was obvious, because of the very closeby feature, no not the great big rock, but just narrowing down the final few feet was the problem.
Eventually, I did see something that just didnt look quite right, and yes, there it was.
Found at 9.45am. Took the message in a bottle, which I will relocate further north next week. Left a glow stick, and 3 travel bugs, The Frog to enjoy the nearby water, the Koala to enjoy some of the trees that caused me so many problems, and the U4DTB because I can. My travelling geocoin also visited.
Cheers

A delightful location made even more delightful when we realized the large rock in front of us could be admired from a distance and we did not have to have a close encounter. TNLN. Great area to camp we thought. Had our lunch there. Thanks Sam Frenchman
Approached the cache from the Caves end and enjoyed the drive on good dirt roads, dodging the many beasts on the road.
On arrival I had this horrible thought that this was a Jim
Crow effort but my fears were unfounded

Our second try at this one. Turned up the day before only to have muggles near GZ. We decided that it would look a bit funny if the family and myself went up in the bush for 5 mins. We kept on going to explore the area. Never been out this way before. Came back the next day after doing a maintenance on a couple of caches. Looks like FTF goes to Dandent (logged the day before). Really nice area and green at the moment.

snuck out to grab this one Saturday afternoon ... pleasant way to kill an hour.
People camped near GZ ... but I was nearly on top of the GZ before I realised they were there [:o]
In and out left a mini hole punch kit ... wasn't going to take anything (as per logs), but had to grab the Spiderman ball to close the cache up nice and tight ...
Saw the 'message in a bottle' ... but wasn't aware of the significance [?]
Still, scored the FTF even after it had been listed / published for a few days Dooghan must have been real busy ...
thanks to the Sam Frenchman clan for the cache.
