Needs reviewer's attention. C.O is no longer active

18-Nov-13
given ALL the DNF's for WP2 it may need some attention

16-Nov-13
found wp1 easily and headed to wp2 but on arriving gps was directing us to the other side of the river and it was getting a bit late and cold so back to the car we went and another look wp1 incase I got the cords wrong. cords were right so we headed to the other side of the river for a look. Place is over run by blackberries and the only log I found was a good 30+ metres away from where gps wanted me to be and I cld not find anything here. we will return for another look next time we are up this way

Out of 30 caches today/tonight this was our only DNF

12-Oct-13
Found the first clue easily. Using the coordinates mapped to the next locations. Unable to find. Then tried searching with the old coordinates and still couldn't find. Would be easier with clearer map coordinates, searched high and low still no luck Sad

07-Jul-13
Searched high and low couldn't find it

14-Jun-13
Cold and windy day so I thought I would clean up a few towards Deloraine. Checked wp1 to get the coords again. Off to gz and found it quickly while waiting for a gap in the traffic. All ok except for an agitated (little) spider. TFTC

27-May-13
Found wp1 easily unfortunately after a bit of a hike found no wp2, lovely afternoon walk however Smile

27-May-13
Found wp1 unable to find wp2 pretty sure floods must have washed it away Sad

31-Mar-13
This has got me beat. I looked all over for WP 1 - no go. It probably still is there but I could not find it. Will have to try again later, as I seem to have missed loading another Hadspen cache onto my GPS and missed it completely on my little tour - so I will be back.

03-Mar-13
Found WP1 with a bit of logical thinking but GPS took us to wrong area for WP2 (to a rock near a gate). Took a guess and headed to the river and think we were in right area but it was difficult to have a proper hunt with little geokids near a river complaining of such a hot day after the walk.

26-Dec-12
Enjoyed the walk along the river and managed to find gz without any problems. We loved the cleverly adapted cache too. Thanks for giving us a reason to stop and stretch our legs before resuming our road trip to Stanley.

Whilst I found the cleverly concealed co-ords at WP1, I could not find the cache at gz possibly because I couldn't exactly get to gz. Blackberry bushes gone mad have taken over. It was a fair hike for no cache and I stubbornly went to battle with the blackberries to no avail, all I got was a lot of prickles all over my jeans Sad I did enjoy the river though and will be returning for a swim!!

24-Jul-12
found way point one good nice spot, way point two if it where i think it is going by the clue. there is only a lid left ( looks like someone mite of smoked it lol ). and coordinates may be out as they lead me to the middle of the highway.

24-Jul-12
way point 1 good, way point 2 (not shore ) nice walk anyway.

First stage no problem. Didnt understand terminology for final so that took a while searching uncomfortable places in error. Got there in the end. Tftc

28-Mar-12
Found today whilst in the area for work. Thanks michaels mob for the cache

12-Mar-12
Cache has now been replaced to a slightly different location but the new coords are reflected in waypoint 1. Thanks michaels mob

Should've checked the comments before going, sufficed to say that the family didn't find the 2nd cache. The area has also become rather overgrown with thorns and nettles. We enjoyed finding the first cache though.

31-Dec-11
Searched high and low for this cache and it is most certainly not there. Great spot though, and a wonderful walk along the river.

14-Aug-11
Looked around for a little while with no luck but there was major flooding last week which almost destroyed the toilet block so not sure if the cache survived.

24-Mar-11
Another visit, another DNF. It was raining and wet. I battled though and tried to locate this cache. Plenty of apples and berries around, but no cache.

20-Mar-11
Found quite quickly, glad I am a little taller than Jan. Some bonus blackberries to eat on the way. TNLN. TFTC.

15-Feb-11
After finding wp1 ok, I made the trek to gz. Once there I ran into muggles fishing by the water. I searched around and even checked the hint, bu was unable to work out exactly what it meant. Hmmm...back soon.

12-Feb-11
Most enjoyable walk. Took Trackable Ozzie Capsule TFTC

25-Jan-11
Smile Good 2 part hide , Took rubber ball (to make way for TB) , Left TB + Keyring. Thanks Robtas.

15-Sep-10
Part of our caching holiday in Northern Tasmania

Nice mulit with only a few prickles around the GZ to be anything of a worry.

Area seems to be the locals youths drinking hole as quick a few bottles (a couple broken) and cans were in the area.

TFTC

20-Jun-10
Thought it had disappeared in the last flood but thhere it was.

19-Jun-10
after a very enjoyable game of golf with a friend I headed off to grab some caches.
As my golfing companion mentioned, the walk along the riverbank is very pleasant and I found the cache without any probs.
Luckily it was outside the fishing season as I may have stayed there till dark and not got any more caching done.
Thanks for the great cache Michaels Mob

13-Jun-10
A nice spot for a walk on a lovely winters morning. TNLN Thanks

08-Jun-10
Thanks MM. The GPSr was a little out (bad weather I presume) but the clue had the cache in hand in quick time. TNLN. TFTC

26-May-10
Actually wrote 25th May on the log. Time is getting away from us.... Nearly gave up on WP1 as it appeared recent heavy machinery had altered the area. Then had one of 'those' moments and the container with the co-ords for WP2 was soon in hand. A nice walk with the dog along the riverbank led us to GZ where the log was signed and a bracelet taken. Left a soldier. TFTC

05-May-10
This was our third visit to the area. On the previous occasions there were "wall to wall" grey nomads making retrieval of WP1 impossible. Today the area was totally clear and we were able to complete WP1 and WP2 without any muggles. TFTC

09-Apr-10
We initially went searching for WP1 at the old coordinates (which were still saved in the GPS), but once we realised our error then WP1 was easily located (although slightly more difficult to access without attracting attention). As always, carrying a camera and taking a few photos was a good cover. Rather than taking the walk we cheated a little and drove closer to WP2. Cache was found easily with the help of the clue.

23-Mar-10
I have been meaning to do this one for ages but never got around to it. Nice to do it Mark II style following the floods.
Soon had WP1 and the walk along the river to the cache was really enjoyable.

FINALLY!! Got out to replace WP1 on this cache…. Have moved it to a new location nearby that should be safe from the cause of the last WP going missing….. In fact, if this WP meets the same fate as the last……… WELL….. I don’t think anyone would want to be in this location OR any other one nearby for that matter…..LOL
The changes made have been added/updated in the cache page including the ‘additional hint’

23-Feb-10
** Coordinates Changed From **
S 41° 30.572 E 147° 03.467
Distance From Old: 219.9 feet or 67 meters
Just moved it over there from over here......

Sorry for the delay in getting this cache up and going again but I have been out to check on a replacement spot for WP1 and not yet found a suitable location. I will take another drive out to this cache in the next couple of weeks and replace it other wise I will archive this listing at that time.

25-Sep-09
Called in on this one for a check and yes, drowned! Will take this action until I can organise a replacement…. Thanks for the reports.

23-Sep-09
The silver sign has been uprooted by recent floods.Micro has disappeared for ever. Didn't continue to look for wp2 as it has probably met the same fate. Nice area.

06-Sep-09
Went past this one today, WP1 has been a long way under water in the recent floods and has been flattened, WP2 would have been a long way under as well but havent been for a look at it.

06-Sep-09
NOPE NO GO FOR THIS ONE THINK THE RIVER MIGHT BE A LITTLE TO HIGH ........AS ALL THE SIGNS ARE BROKEN OFF AND UNDER ABOUT 3 FEET OF WATER......LOL

MIGHT HAVE A LOOK WHEN WATER LEVEL GOES DOWN A FEW FEET

Dropped the junior mob off at school this morning and then headed down the river to ‘hopefully’ find myself a FTF on a new cache and DID!!! WooHoo!!!

Then on the way back I took a ‘detour’ to do a spot of maintenance on a few of ‘our’ caches.

Finally got out to check this one, (after reading the last couple of logs) was quite confident it was going to be OK and found WP1 safely tucked away ‘high & dry’. also check the cache at WP2 and found it tuchked away safely as well.

01-Aug-09
Nope no go here for WP1 as we picked the wrong day for caches near rivers/dam..........OPENING DAY

Too many muggles for this bad boy

thnx maybe next time MM

Boat and scuba required to get to WP1!

May be the first flood since it was placed?

Owner may need to dry it out if it is not in the Tamar now?

I don't know about a peaceful stroll along the river more like a power walk to beat the fading light. Halfway there realised GPS was still in the car but the clues helped us find it. Our last cache on our weekend caching in Launceston.

11:49 Found on our Touring Tassie and Beyond 2009 Trip!
We found the first WP easy enough and punched in the info before making the easy stroll to GZ. Along the way A stopped to check the temperature of the water. Yep I can confirm it's cool!!!

Once at GZ we looked and looked before coming across where we needed to be. A had a look, and came up with nothing, but after another check I found the well hid cache

Arrived at GZ on my pushbike to a few muggle swimmers and a strange man taking photos (of what I am not sure) so tried to act like I wasn't up to anything suspicious when a very angry woman approached me and asked me if i was 'with' the photographer. Of course I replied 'no' so she then proceeded to do the celebrity paparazzi thing and rip his camera off him. My suggestion that everyone take a 'chill pill' didn't really resolve anything so I thought it better I just leave and come back another time.
Thanks for the cache michaels mob

Last chance to cache in Tasmania for a while. 3rd of 15 for the day, but 1st of a concerted effort this afternoon sans spouse & kids! Found @ 15.45.
Great Multi. TFTC

27-Dec-08
Not a good one to try and find on a hot sunny Saturday after Xmas LOL... there was no chance of waiting for the muggles to move on, actually I was regretting not bringing my swimmers myself.

At least I have an excuse to return here later now Wink

17-Aug-08
Went for this one a couple of weeks ago but too many fisherpeople about so had to leave it, called in today with no coords but already had a good idea where to look. Found WP1 very quickly but took quite some time to coax it out, having to resort to long nose pliers and a stick and also dodging a police car hanging around without looking too suspicious......Found WP2 fairly easy with the clue, thanks for another goodn micheals mob

08-Apr-08
This was a lovely riverside stroll on a beautiful cool afternoon. Pity about the GZ location though, much litter and broken glass about, and signs of dubious muggle activity, so am not sure about the security of the spot. Took diabetes TB.
Thanks for the exercise and the hunt, michaels mob.

15-Mar-08
Lovely day and great walk along the river.
Locals were having a car boot sale.
Many thanks.

06-Mar-08
Found it "Virtually" that is. Thanks for allowing me to log this cache after the previous DNF. I look forward to returning one day to cache in such a wonderful part of the world.
Cheers from the Posspet Boys.

05-Mar-08
Dropped back in on this one to enter a log for the ‘Posspet Boys, who had, I believe it’s called, a ‘claytons find’ on this one. Found it BUT it wasn’t there……
ALSO I have dropped of a ‘Diabetes TB’ to get it moving again….

23-Feb-08
Finally and about time too.Quick find today in new location well hidden. FTF????
TNLNSL thanks guys a good cache.

20-Feb-08
After reading the last DNF log and believing that they were looking in the right place, we thought we better check in on this one. You guessed it, missing!!
Have replaced it BUT not in the same place, although, it’s only a couple of metres away so have left the co-ords the same. Have changed the ‘Hint’ to accommodate the change so all should be good again…..â€Hopefullyâ€

20-Feb-08
Would you believe I was at wp2 tonight at 6.30pm and of course did not find it. but now I know where to look should be easy next time. Thanks mike grrrrr!!

08-Feb-08
7 months since it was last found....I was there today and found a very good hiding spot but nothing at home. I really think that the owner should check on this.
Unless the clue is so vague that it isn't between the 2 piers of the bridge structure.
Cheers from the Posspet Boys. Must now go catch a plane back to Adelaide.

12-Jun-07
The co-ords for WP1 and also GZ were both spot on, which made it an easy find for us. Our relaxing stroll along the river bank without sighting another person, also helped to make it easy for us.

Took spring, left memo clip.

Thankyou! - Another great cache from michaels mob!

06-Jun-07
As noted previously, I spotted WP1 but the boys wouldn't leave. This time I arrived to find an empty carpark. Retreived information and off to WP2 without re-reading the description or the hint.
Looked all around where the GPSr was indicating and after spending considerable time looking there, I decided to leave this one. Maybe I just have a quick look over there, just in case?
Found easily, TLNL. Thanks to the Mob.

08-Apr-07
Started this one as the last bit of daylight disappaered at WP1. WP1 was found easily though. We quickly plugged the said co-ords into the GPS and off to WP2 but it was just too dark so after stumbling about in the poor light we decided to retreat for the day to cache another day. Interestingly we looked right at the spot where the cache was located but with no torch we could not see it. Went back the next day and had the cache in hand in no time flat.
BTW the park and associated walk are quite nice.
Thanks.

Nice walk along river with geo-pooch.Top spot for fishing..which has been logged for future reference.Beaten for FTF...but still two more possibles??Good hide.TNLNSL TFTC Cheers m/mob.

14-Mar-07
Arrived at WP1 to sound of 3 young blokes cursin' and cussin' about anything they could think of (which wasn't much). Spotted the micro but wasn't able to retrieve due to said 'boys'.
I'll be back.

14-Mar-07
FTF, yay my first, but hopefully not my last, Had to wait a while till the muggle with the dog left at WP1, the dog looked like he was enjoying his swim, took a while to spot the sneaky little micro then off to the cache, a great park with good barbecues and picnic tables though the area could do with a bit more shade on a day like today, found GZ easily, T Gone bushwacking Geocoin, L can holder, permanent marker & aa batteries, Thanks michaels mob
