Noticed a dnf on this one a few weeks ago. I was surprised as its in a fairly muggle free area. Checked it and it is indeed missing.
Will replace next week

Out today with Fangsoki, Captain Terror and Crew153 driving down the road, stopped for a little leg stretch. Lovely spot. But. Despite having 4 sets of eyes that have all seen a few geocaches over the years we couldn't find this one. Had a really good look around and did not spot it. May need checking.
Nice little trek up to the cache. Frolics complained all the way of course. TFTC
On our way home after a few days caching around the Casino Lismore area. We decided to return via the Summerland Way and Mr Lindsay Highways.
We we so looking forward to the views from the top - always worth the effort. But not today - that track looks just far to wet and slippery to spend the time negotiating it - see photo.
So this is a Did Not Attempt, rather than a Did Not Find.
Next time, when the weather is better.

Somewhere over 40 years ago we had a camping holiday in Kyogle and drove over to the Gold Coast a couple times for a day out. Today we decided to have a day out from our holiday on the Gold Coast and go for a day out to Kyogle to see how much it might have changed.
After a quick snack from the bakery before it closed, we made a tour of the town...stopping off for different caches along the way. This was the third cache we went after. I would have to check our old photos but I suspect that we had been up to the lookout before...but not further up the hill to this cache.
Thanks Griffo for putting this cache here.

A brisk walk from the lookout and I saw a likely spot. Ahh there you are! Signed and replaced, all is well here. TFTC Griffo
We decided to walk up the hill rather than brave my rather limited 4 wheel drive skills on a rainy day. A great stretch of the legs, and wow what views!
What an adventure to find this one today.
Purple thought she would let the speaking navigator tell us how to get close to this one. Well it took us all over, with hilarious results.
At one stage we parked the car got out and started striding upwards where a lookout would be .... approx. 200 metres into our 'stroll' we were only 108 metres away, phew - but what is that big looming bit of rock in our way. A few more steps and the gps told us we had only 91 meters to go.
We both look up at the daunting rock-face when the eager geocacher in Darkness looks skyward and says in all seriousness ' so how do we get up there ?' Purple is slowly backing away and says deadpan 'ummmm we don't' and falls into fits of laughter.
Well we recovered enough to get back into the car for another round. After a few rights/lefts we got close, parked, got out and started walking uphill. The right hill this time.
Wow what views from all angles up here, thanks for taking us here ... in our journey just for this cache we encountered wallabies, kookaburras, a king parrot and brush turkey oh and a huge cliff - did we tell you about that?
TFTC Griffo - it was quite an adventure.

Met up with Troopy1 in Kyogle and decided to pick up a few local caches. Found just where indicated after a walk up to the hide. Great views from the track. TFTC.
We had been on the Border Range drive with some muggle friends and ended up here in Kyogle. After a quick check of the map we spotted this cache. It sounded like a good spot to show our friends. The GPSr lead us up a dead end so a quick u turn was made by all, Mrs. Herbz then read the details a little more carefully and we soon spotted signs to the lookout. It was a clear day and we could see right across Kyogle and beyond. We decided to walk up to the cache and let the geomuts have a run which they thoroughly enjoyed. Once at GZ we had a hunt around but then resorted to the hint. One of our muggle friends had been so close but somehow just missed finding the cache. Anyway the cache was spied and log signed. All nice and dry. TFTC Griffo.
Rusty85 and I are in Kyogle to visit relatives and of course the cache had to be done, just as we were about to drive to the cache the heavens opened, we waited for the rain to pass then did the trek up the hill through very wet long grass. Once up an easy find was made, log quickly signed and we were slowly negotiating the muddy slippery track back down. TFTC
This cache turned out to be a walk on a very wet day, lots of mud but wow what a view. TFTC
Day 6 of the QLD MEGA for me.
After a fabulous loong week-end it is time to go home.
So after packing the car and saying the good bye's I was off towards home.
I am taking the scenic way home.
I eventually found the right road to the lookout and then began the WALK. Long grass hid the wheel ruts and other things that trip up the walker but I got there eventually.
This one was a quick find once I got to GZ.
Thanks for the cache.

We drove the geo mobile as far as the gate and hiked up the last part. We found the cache safe and dry thanks.
Was a good walk to start our day. Thought we'd walk to the top first and get this cache on our return. However, our batteries went flat . All we could remember was the Hint so it was a rather slow return because we left no log unchecked. .
Finally we found it .
Cache is in very good condition.
Thanks for the cache and fun we had Griffo.

Finally found, after almost giving up. As my mother said "Jemma, if it had teeth it would have bitten you!" Great to finally find one that hadn't been taken.
Having a day off at Kyogle. Because of the caches we found this track and had a beautifull morning strawl. No problems with muggles here.
While on a motorcycle trip from Melbourne, I did some caching, and this was one I found. tftc.
Crusty.

We are staying at the showgrounds and went for a walk up to the lookout and on to the cache. Its a pretty hot day, so it was a bit of a slog. The grass is pretty long on the track, so snake-itis was in full swing, but not one to be seen.
Cache is in good order.
Great views from up here.
The walk back was a lot easier!
Thanks Griffo.

Went up to the look out great views though very windy and wet but the track up to the cache had a closed gate with caching unless their is notes saying that you can go through the gate we do not enter. How sad.
So happy to find this one after three other previous unsuccessful cache searches today. Gorgeous late afternoon sunlight. Took 2 figures and left a finger monster and parachute man.
nice walk and beautiful view. Showed me how out of condition I am when walking to GZ.
after catching my breath from the hill climb found this one pretty easy great view.tftc
I had a wedding to attend in Kyogle, so Gem83 and An Old Hag and I thought we would make a weekend of it grab some caches.

thanks Griffo, found it while passing through. Enjoyed a lovely lunch at a Kyogle eatery.
Found after a steep climb on a hot day. Low clearance vehicle would have trouble crossing a couple of drains. Great view and worth the climb.

I have never heard this towne called that before [:o]
Driving into towne from Casino this morning, I soon figured out why it has that name now
In this day and age of "Local Council Branding" I suppose this was the only mascot not yet claimed
So it was that I wandered up to the very well hidden and deserted lookout.
Through the gate and up the hill,
Looking for a caching thrill.
I wandered up and wandered down,
Above the views of Turkey Town.
I didn't think what I was doing,
Walked straight past and kept on going.
Toward the top of Fairymount,
Where I figured I should turn about
Half way back down,
To Turkey Town,
I found a place,
That hid a cache

Fangsoki and I decided to don the raincoats and head up the hill to track down these two caches. (at least it was cool)
After a bit of a walk we had a view of "Turkey Town" through the foggy mist..... and found the cache of the same name as well.
Thanks for the cache Griffo. TNLNSL
Onwards and upwards to "Up with the Fairies".

I was a little apprehensive about doing this one in inclement weather..but Radnoski wanted to stretch his legs for a bit of a trot. We kitted up and made our way to GZ. I slowly trudged but made it there in the end. I found it after a small hunt in its home. It is in good condition. TFTC Griffo
On the way home.....
half way up hill 170m short of hide kids found a brown snake comming down the track......
after brown snake was gone. mum and kids went back to car.... Dad had to do this one on his own.
Took little red racing car...
Left keyring and card.....

Well that was some climb!!! We aren't sure if we took the extra steep track & there is an easier one ,but it was a huge climb ,through lantana ,low trees & a very slippery bank-but we did it & got the cache . The climb was well worth it & the view was unreal TFTC & taking up & over the top. Did think that we were the real turkeys around the town x
Found it No. 3057 ... enjoyed the views from the cache ... took 2x geocoin and LN TFTC
Went caching today with TheParkerClan in Kyogle.

Sid and his 4wd club called in. as there had been some rain we walked the last 300metres rather than chew up the wet track.
Nice easy find in a top area, was planning on dropping off a TB but the container a bit small. Moved on to the Saturday Market and then out West for the weekend.
Thanks for the cache.

Nice hide! Great view of town from this spot. A couple of curious kangeroos watched as I searched for the cache. Found it after 5 mins. SL TNLN TFTC!

Its always great to be brought to another location one would never have known existed. Lost a few kilos walking up the track, wanted to keep going past cache.
Left Richmond Tigers Key Ring, took Silver Car TFTC and the view.

What a great view from up here! What a hot hike it was to get up here today! Searched a few locations and came up with the right one. TFTcache Griffo. Thanks for bringing us up here so we didn't leave town without seeing the great view. Took: bursting, sticky, liquid filled turtle thingy. Left: tiny purse with coins and car
This is a great cache, more should come grab it! After a short grunt up the hill the cache took some courage to retrieve from its deep dark hide but got it event free. Great viw from nearby lookout, thanks for showing me this spot. Zalgar from Sydney

Well this is the 3rd and final cache for our first day of hunting for treasure [as the kids call it] just as the sun was going down . We had to walk the final 300 hundred metres as we had rain and the track was just to slippery to drive on. The kids had the clue and it didnt take them long to find it with a bit of dads help. What a GREAT day everyone enjoyed it so much. We left a blue plastic star and took nothing.
nice view from the lookout, and a pleasant walk in the heat up the hill (great ridge). I couldn't find the cache, even looked both ends of the clue .... will need to return another day.
Quick walk up the track soon had me at GZ and a nice easy find.
Nice views over town and to the south along the way. The XPT even arrived at the station from the North as I headed back to the car.

The gate at the entrance of the track was well and truly wired shut, along with the gaps between gate posts and side fence. Because it looked so "do not enter"ish we elected not to continue.
The view from the car park was magnificent. We're sorry that we couldn't complete this cache.

Great lookout over this town - managed to find this well hidden Cache, Log it @3pm and back to Geomobile Before a Downpour, Thanks for bringing us here -Griffo
0900hrs. The better half is still cursing you Griffo. First cache of the day and she was covered in mud. Then up the road there is a yell and she had a leech for a friend. But we found it and the cache is dry. Someone had driven up there but not us. TFTCSL I think a payback is in order.
Started our Easter run with this cache. At 9:00 am the track and area surrounding the cache was WET. By the time we walked to cache, signed log and slipped downhill again geohusband (ohterwise known as Transport) and I were wet to the hips and keen to continue.
Found it after working trip to the area today.
Quick hike above the lookout dodging natures cache guardian (large black snake who was slithering by)
Signed log TNLN as left cache bag at home this morning back in Q'ld
Great views from up here
Thanks for the cache Griffo
We had our first find today. The view of the town was great. Weather was fine and sunny. Only wish we had the camera with us.
First one in NSW for qld flash. What a hill. But alas still did not find it. Maybe on the way home we might have another look. Saw a kangaroo on the path which geo brat did not see.
Very nicely hidden. Great views, pity I left the camera at the bottom of the hill TNLN TFTC!
