Just solved the mystery.
Logging NM with hope it will reach the CO better than DNF ot WN logs.
Would be nice to keep this cache going - even adopted...

Wow, long time no find?
Was hoping to try for this one in July
Last DNFs suggest it may not be there and that location may be compromised by a homeless person camping there ?
Would be good to know if all is OK

Like previous geocacher,DNF,no sign of it except possibly somebody spending the cold nights undercover, CO may like to do maintenance check, tftc
Not a good place to visit. Still signs of homeless activity and even human excrement around. After all the puzzle solving and searching didn't even find it, only human poo.
Not knowing to much at all about landmarks around Wollongong the search was on and soon found all POIs
I had sorted GZ awhile ago and came by today to make the find with seaker200
We had no muggles issues today so found GZ no probs but the rubbish of a someone once living here still remain.
Another fun puzzle to work on and extra happy to get the smiley.
Thanks Gribbly for the cache

Someone has made gz into their new home. Camping gear ahs rubbish all around the place.
Well this one took me a while to even attempt, and then two visits to the area before getting the right coordinates. Even then another two visits to gz due to to many muggles about.
This time I also had the misfortune of having to go though a temporary home someone had made at gz. Food, bedding , furniture and cooking equipment were present.
I ended up going for a PAF before going into the vacated mess. At least i found the cache.
Thanks for the puzzle.

Found...finally.
After multiple attempts, I went back this morning and found it very quickly so I don't remember what I was doing wrong last time but I am happier now.

A day-trip on a beautiful earlier summer day to go caching in The Gong (and a few en route). Tally for the day 14.

This cache and another mystery (GC69V3R What's the Decimal Point?) were the reasons for the drive down today. So decided to end on the 'high notes' - this being the 13th find of the day.
Prior to today, a few friends who's been Wollongong dwellers (what are they called? Gongians?) identified 3 of the 4 fixtures. After a bit of 'aerial reconnaissance' using Google Earth, I spotted what is very likely to be the remaining structure. Parked on Church St then biked it around A, B, C then D to pick up the clues then a brisk roll on the MTB to GZ.
NICE construction!!! definitely a favourite.
TFT (really fun) cache, Gribbly.

Third visit and still a DNF.
There has been some work done on the feature in question so it is entirely possible that it has been construction worker muggled.

Took a while since we stuffed up our coords, but after working out the issues we ended up getting to GZ. Found cache coords to be exact, while finding cache took a bit longer..
Thanks for the journey through Wollongong.

No luck tonight the coords matched the hint and all the comments perfectly. I know I was at the correct spot.
Its either a tough find, or its gone missing since the last find was so long ago
I did find a full can of baked beans sitting on a concrete shelf wasn't tempted by the snack...... seems to be a teenage hiding spot of sorts. Thanks anyway

Was in town to run some errands and have lunch and with the sun shining thought I would have a go at this cache. I found A, B & C ok, but not D. Figured I had enough info to brute force the coords so set off in what I hoped was the right direction and lo and behold found D. Confirmed my coords and off to GZ. Happy days - giving this a favourite point for a lovely walk around town. TFTC
Might have to put a needs maintenance post on this cache,
I've been back here 2 or 3 times since New Years Day, with DNFs.
Just a polite little nudge for CO
Thanks and sorry for the hassle

Narrowed down the location and ducked under but couldn't find it. Thanks for the puzzle, try again another time.
Spent the day finding all the clues needed. The final location is currently home to a little more then spiders. Seems like there are some homeless people living where the cache is hidden, so obviously thought it best to leave it for another day.
Over cast day made for few muggles. Someone had lost some loose change, may get an ice cream with that. Great hiding place. TFTC
Decided to come down and do some shopping today, and grab a cache, collected required information, enjoying the scenic tour, took a while to locate a very well hidden cache. TFTC Gribbly
No big plans today so we had a leisurely walk around the Gong and grabbed the info required to find this cache. The grab was a well timed entry and exit so as to not draw attention and our Old South tour was complete. Thanks for the fun. SLTN..TFTC
I was in Wollongong today picking up a Geocaching Australia moveable which flew over from Perth. I had previously waymarked two of the four locations for this cache & taken a photo of another so had most of the details. I then guessed the location of the fourth to arrive at a set of co-ords. Saw the fourth object today & my guess was accurate. The hint confirmed the location but far to popular with sightseers & could be hard to explain so, like the last finder, will look on a rainy day. Thanks.
Collected all the coordinates on a nice sunny day with a friend. Went to GZ on a rainy afternoon to minimise muggles. Unfortunately lots of spider muggles about protecting the cache their beady eyes reflecting in my torch light! Not a spider fan but didn't stop me making my log. TFTC.
Finally I found the time to do this cache ! Collecting the required info was very interesting. Enjoyed all the srtuctures especially GZ. Nice work on the camo & hiding spot. SL TFTC
Egads!! Found at last. With lots of help from Roger Explosion. I had been back to this spot at least 6 times......phew. Now i'm happy. "Old South" TICK TFTC
We found within 30 seconds this time! Much easier in the day time. Unfortunately we didn't have a pen and there was none in the cache so we couldn't sign it . Cool hide!
No luck. Spiders and darkness is not a good combination. Hopefully next time!
FINALLY! This is our nightmare cache! We had unsuccesfully visited GZ a couple of times over the last months. Today we were equipped with hints from mizmaz, paulyman and snorris and finally searched at the right spot - a very well hidden cache! TFTC!
We took a relaxed approach to this one gathering the puzzle answers when we would just happened to pass by the locations. Finally got a chance to stop by and grab the cache after a great Hawks game at the WEC! TFTC!
Found with the geokiddies. Didn't know there use to be a surf club here...way before our time in the gong I'm guessing! TNLN SL TFTC
Had another look at GZ this afternoon. With the weather not at its best there were few muggles around, and being daylight no giant spiders around either! Made a quick find today. Found with snorris. TFTC.
Found with paulyman after I finished work this afternoon. Very clever spot, luckily there were no spiders to scare paulyman away this time. TFTC!
Solved the puzzle today and worked out where GZ is. Had a quick look around with snorris during the day but couldn't stay long, too many muggles above. After dinner went back, couldn't find anything obvious, lots of large spiders about though.
We solved the puzzle a couple of weeks back and had a look at GZ every now a then on our way home. So far we have been unsuccessful. Maybe our GZ coordinates are wrong?
Bummer! I had a great time finding all the clues and navigated to the GZ which I know is correct from the description and clues.
Underneath I did find a "shelf" but no caches.....search search search. I had to give up after a group people "above" decided to stay.
Can anyone confirm if the cache is still there? I lost confidence as a newbie.
cheers

I see what you mean about the shelf. No need to go into stealth mode as a tradie with tool belt, drill and screws can go anywhere unchallenged. No-one even saw me.
Only needed one screw and now is up and almost level and virtually out of sight. Tight spot.
Hope it is to your satisfaction. But check to see if OK.

WooHoo! Thanks Gribbly for returning this one from the grave. This is a great little puzzle cache and one which has been on my to do list since the middle of 2010 when Ace7 and I worked out the coords from all the pictures and first found it had been muggles. We have visited here several times hoping that it may have been restored and then last night I saw that it had been replaced. So first thing this morning (5:00am) I arrived at GZ and there it was. I signed the log and left the 3Ball travel cache in the corner pocket. Thanks again Gribbly TFTC.
The cache is back in place now and active.
just need to find a suitable night to go into stealth mode and straigten up the shelf

last found January 2011 - how about an update - we will be in area in a couple of weeks and wonder if it will be back online.
Visited the site again today whilst completing some others nearby. Unfortunately it hasn't been replaced yet.
Tadpole7 and I visited this one again to see if the cache had been restablished but it hadnt.
Gribbly are you able to get the cache replaced or should this one be archived?

Very disappointment that muggles have been there and took the container... not even left log book damn. I have been homework found A abd B - no problem but C and D - no hope for me Last evening meet Steeba asked him to help me about C + D so he offer showed me where C + D is finally then we walked along to GZ as Steeba know where it is - he told me muggle got it. Now I am [xx(] [xx(] [xx(]
Answered all the questions and got the coordinates, however a huge amount of muggle traffic.Had a look underneath however did not persevere with all themuggles around. a great walk around W'gong and nice view from the viewing area. Lis and Pete
Ace 7 and I worked out GZ from the info collected from the photos and when we explored and used the clue we found an appropriate hidey hole at GZ. Alas the cupboard was bare. I will send a note to the cache owner to check. thanks for the adventure.
Finally completed this one. Came back on a wet muggle free day for a quick find. TFTC.
Finaly got this one done, had the coord for ages but never got around to doing it.

We had to do a phone a friend on this one because the info at point A is missing. After a nice walk around we some had this cache in hand.
A fun cache on my one cache per day journey! I had sorted guessed the GZ position after some googling but that didn't stop me doing a quick drive around the town to confirm the dates in the puzzle yesterday. I was pretty close as it was but now I was sure where the cache was hidden. So another 5am work start meant I had quick drive by in the dark. I was amazed to find muggles out and about this early in the morning. But having high vis clothing on, gave me an appearance of credibility when I started exploring GZ. The cache wasn't too hard to find and in no time I was on my way to work. The only scary thing was the big spider I ran into on the way back from GZ. Arrggh. I hate spiders.....

Initially helped Ozvixen with the waypoints a few weeks before (and pre-official cacher status) so returned to log today. Locating the landmarks and clues easier than finding the cache (for a local anyway). Clever hide.
Finally found this one - third time lucky. Initially, hadn't realised the answer to A was posted by Gribbly on the logs, so some guessing (initially) and some googling (eventually) had us at GZ. Found it with MizMaz. Took TB, left Geocoin. Very nice hide - TFTC
Found final co-ords at 4.20pm.
We had to ask a local for help on structure locations as we are out of towners.
Final cache site was a easy find.
Took 5c Canadian Coin.
Left Keyring Light.

We loved the clues for this one. We did have a bit of trouble finding D, but after some clever thinking we found the spot. Didn't take long to find it a sneaky cache.
this one was a working progress as we had no idea where we would find the last item and the kids we ademate that they knew where structure c was but we never took the chance to have a look but after stumbling on the elusive d we decided to go in search of c which was where the geokids had kept trying to tell us all along
so tonight we decided to drive down and snatch up the catch and the static geocoin
thanks for the hunt

The answer for structure "A" is 1980. I will leave this note in the logs until the plaque is replaced.
After arriving at WP1, and finding the plaque missing, we thought we were screwed.
Luckily The local Hoojar pointed us in the right direction, and retrieved the cache quickly.

Left a pretty coin for someone to grab.
Very nice spot, great view. Some people were watching us quite intently, so we had to try really hard to make it look like we weren't doing drugs.
Thanks,

Another multi Tenacious D sent the McWiBiTe team on, but she had done her homework so it didn't take us too long.
And yes, the waves were phosphorescing delightfully in the dark - well done McPhan. There is hope in your somnambulance yet.

Thankfully we had a couple of good puzzlers in the team for these. Hey Peter, a three sylable word, I thought there was a penalty for that.
Interesting GZ.

A very cleverly concealed cache. After calculating the GZ coords we were getting a little worried that it might yet end up as a DNF, but winglen eventually made the find for us. TFTC - 26th for the day.

1266. There appears to be more than one way to butter a cat. Having one of the better puzzle solvers from the ACT in the car was an advantage because he was driving us and made the find. This actual puzzle was solved by Tealby and I don't even remember seeing any of the waypoints - is there a male equivalent of a nanna nap?

Ahhh, at last. A wet and windy day with no muggles around so I could feel at ease completing this cache and my Gribbly challenge. Enjoyed them all. Thanks Gribbly.
Went for a walk today with Dogboy_56 and after a history lesson found my first Mystery/puzzle cache. Good Job Gribbly
OK, I have determined the coordinates of the cache but yet to find a time to do the search without feeling dodgy. Sooner or later there will be an opportunity. Luckily it's close to home.

Figured this out a week or so ago but there were too many muggles then. Returned under cover of darkness for a quick recovery. Took TB
ah bugger, GSAK wasnt showing the pics required for this cache. of course now that i am back at the hotel in sydney, looking at the cache on GC, i realise that i was at 3 out of the 4 places today. oh well hopefully sometime in the future will return
This cache has been a work in progress. Internet searches will only take you so far, you then have to pound the pavement looking for things to match the pictures. Not being a Wollongong local, this was somewhat time consuming and difficult. In fact, we never found the mosaic, but some guesswork got us through. The coordinates were perfect and fortunately we discovered our maths was too; finally, tonight we grabbed the opportunity to search for and find the cache under the cover of darkness. Thanks Gribbly.

What WalW said. The torrentail rain and the freezing cold did take some of the fun out of the hunt, but a well planned and laid out cache nonetheless. I still can't believe the monstrous seas at the nearby beach. Thanks also to Wallw for dragging me along. Now to dry out my pants....
After Something Fishy we dropped Gribbly off home and decided to try for Old South. Admittedly, both Big Mick B and me haven't been locals for some years, but we managed to find the clues along the way. By the time we got to GZ, we were both soaked and cold, though watching the humungus surf at South Beach made up for it. Found the cache after some searching and a call to the Gribbly hotline.
This was an excellent cache despite the wet weather, and very enjoyable getting to see some of the local sights of Wollongong again. Local knowledge helps, but I think you'd find most of the waypoints within a short time of cruising the streets of the locality.
Took the Sandy Toes TB, and dropped geocoin. Thanks for the cache!
best wishes,
Wal

What a great wat to de-stress after a tough day at work. Just gotta love a cache that took a bit of effort to set. Well done Gribbly.
I'm glad you liked the scavenger hunts Steeba. I used to enjoy running them even though they took a lot of work to set up. You guys always put in a big effort and which payed off as you were always first across the line!!
