Logs
Some weeks ago I passed this area and realised with the new coordinates where it might be. However the fence nearby was being replaced so did not linger. Yesterday (27th March) while cycling around to Eastbourne the container was spotted lying on the grass. The log was inside so I nestled it back into a hidey hole. We came back a couple of hours later and deciding to make a log entry went back to sign it. The yellow tape was blowing across the grass and there was no sign of the container. We have brought the tape home and would like to get it back to J 'N' K if possible. It seems a reasonable place for a cache but disappointingly appears to be a high muggle area. TFTC Pat and John
In need of a very quick park and grab in the pouring rain and despite the drive thus fitted the bill.
I do like this waterproof paper. I do think rolling up plenty of it will save maintenance trips. However as I stood in the howling gale holding four long bright yellow streamers I suddenly felt much more conspicuous .
Had a bit of attention from a muggle dog but all good for my 100th cache. Yay. Tftc

Doing routine maintenance on our other nearby caches so checked this one out as it had a few DNF's. Found it ok, but thought the co-ords were a bit off so have updated them.

Had a very good look around, but couldn't find it, even after reading logs and hints.
Looked for about 20 minutes, read the hints and logs, but could not find anything.
Came back for a 2nd look. Got a tip from another cacher. I did originally look in that area but not hard enough 1st time. Didn't take long at all on 2nd visit
Found the cache a number of meters away from where it is supposed to be, after reading other logs but otherwise nice hide.
Found with monkeymoo1 and jazz-Alyssa.
Found with monkeymoo1 and jazz-Alyssa.
Checked and the cache is where its supposed to be, however its the older (missing) one, not sure why this has happened but regardless there is a logsheet there to sign.
Well yes a definite find ! but of the old mislaid cache! at exactly as the hint said...."near stump, corner" but 4 m. from my GZ- but as the cache hadn't been signed since sept 2012...12 months ago....I think it was an earlier version..the missing cache.....quite a find on a birthday visit very close by, on a glorious Wgtn day .
Had a look for this cache but did not find. We visited the site on the 10th April but were unable to look for the it as there were several men in orange vests working in the area. We are wondering if their activites have disturbed tha cache.
Needed the clue but got it straight after that. Had to hide from regulars but a good find.
Noted this was replenished probably for the last time and raced over. First on the list.
Had a good hunt all over but no go Not found with Etherlord on a super awesome record breaking 50 cache day trip.
first DNF of Tom&Thomas' 50-something cache road trip to Wainui' to find the oldest cache in NZ, GC46
Seems like the cache site does not meet the description due to changes. Lot's of stumps but no cache.
Didn't locate this one. Appears to have been recent work in the area. Was a bit tricky to have better look as a lot of muggle traffic
Saw the notification come up to say the cache was back online while at work and thought I could do this on the way home. So I did! Have been here a number of times without luck so pretty much knew exactly where it was going to be. A quick find without having to use the GPS and a new clean log.
Thank you for putting out a replacement container, and for the numerous visits to leave empty handed.

Went to replace today but there were a whole lot of youths loitering and they didn't look like they were going to move on soon, so will try again in the next week.
Didn't know it was unavailable because we loaded it on a couple of weeks ago. Found the cache container, or part of it anyway and signed it so hope you will allow us the find.
TFTC Hi from Canadian cachers.

As froog has mentioned, the area the cache was in is smashed up, so we will have to find another spot for it.
Second attempt at this one and easy find thanks to the 'new' coordinates given in another log. TFTC.
As previous finders have indicated, this seems to be almost 15 metres from the indicated coordinates. I am posting what I think are perhaps better coordinates. Other than that, a very clever hide! Visiting from Ohio, USA. SL. TFTFun!
Looked all around where the GPS brought us, but looking at logs now it might not be as close as we initially thought. We did look a little bit away from the location, but might have to try again.
My second attempt at this cache did not go unrewarded today and I finally managed to cross this off the list, YAY!! TFTC
Found it. Second time was the charm. Very well hidden, and clue helped. As others have said, somewhere between 10 and 15 metres away from coordinates. TFTC!
K is out on a caching maintenance afternoon. Checked this one as I was in the area, it had suffered from "cache creep" so the hint wasn't that helpful, but its now back in the right place.
No luck on this one today. Will try again soon. It was the last one we went after today, so gave it less time than we otherwise would have.
Went right to it using the hint. The rain died to a drizzle while we were here but still no one around which made hunting easy.
Was looking in the wrong place but a quick read of the logs & the hint meant we soon had this in hand.
Got a bit side tracked here and didn't read the logs or hint so no luck today, will try again soon
Nice easy find walking the geohound while hubby playing football at nearby park, lots of muggles around today including 4 legged ones. TB's visited but no room in cache for them. SL TFTC
Cold Wellington day! Cache about 10m from coords so hard find. Had to back track a bit. Good hide, kept us on our toes SL, TFTC
I wouldn't want to attempt this during peak service times. However a wet afternoon just after lunch was ideal and the muggle factor was not an issue. After not having any success where the gps was pointing I went for the hint and quickly had the business done. My gps (GPSMap 62s) had the cache about 12m away from the actual coordinates. A cool location. I would like to be under the bridge when a freight train went over. TFTC
2/3 for the day, while the geo-kids rode around on their bikes.
Took a while before we found the hint, but we had a geo-boy with us who needed to do what boys do best by the bushes, and a quick find after that.

i love rail roads this is so cool nice to see and as i almost missed it good cach hide also
Find #449 - Not an easy cache in the evening rush hour! An onslaught of cyclists, walkers, joggers and runners - however, there were short two to three minute breaks in the muggle traffic when we maximized our searching potential. We couldn't find anything for about 20 minutes, and we didn't see any hint objects. However, one of us spotted the relevant object a distance away from where we were searching. Yes! The cache was there... but our Oregon was telling us that we were 15 (!) metres away from GZ. Oh well... there's a smiley face now! Cheers, SL TFTC.
Found with help of the hint, some kind of muggle bike ride on made stealth essential TFTC
We biked to this cache only to find council workers had closed the relevant area and are doing some work on the bridge - we walked up to workers, nice chap, who told us they'd been doing construction since Feb 13, but they aren't intending on removing anything...
#1883 (6/6 on a Tuesday afternoon). Took us a while to find this (coords seemed a bit out). Eventually I spotted the hint object, and soon had cache in hand. TFTC.
It always seems that we make hard work of the so-called "easy" caches. After several minutes searching, StreetWalker spotted something well away from our GZ. Eureka!
TFTC.

Found on my third visit, I had been looking in the wrong place the other two visits, TFTC J 'N' K
Another (and the final) one found on a pleasant early evening stroll along the Hutt River trail.
Took me a few minutes to recognise the clue item, was expecting something slightly different but once I realised what and where it was a quick easy find.
No muggles that caused me any problems, a few did pass by after I had completed the task.
Had a Danish coin with me so logging that through.

Done in conjunction with Sudoku on Sladden. Lots of muggle management required on a busy Labour Weekend Sunday.
Cache found in order, log signed, and rehidden safely, as found.

Took me longer to find the right entranceway than it did to locate the replacement hide. Pretty area after dark, though the graffiti suggests it's not always so calm.

Went to replace cache today but the area we had thought would be ok was unsuitable, so we'll put our thinking caps on and try again soon.
Checked and it is missing as the structure it was on has been replaced by a new wooden one. Will replace asap.
Mrs Sobad and her sister walked along the trail from Ewen bridge just before it go dark. Quick find here as GPS pointed to an obvious spot. Trail was reasonably busy with skateboarders, runners and other walkers. TFTC
We found this as the start of a J n K seek and destroy mission this evening. Certainly not destroy caches, but who knows what collateral damage is left behind as we go onto their famous urban warfare caches around the Hutt tonight. A nice mission to start the sortie, thanks.
