Thanks again to all those that attended and contributed towards this great event. [^]
Another successful event! Many thanks to all those who made it happen - from the cachers who attended to the Porirua City Council management and staff who gave us their time and support.
Keep Porirua Beautiful has already asked us to be involved with a local project in September - Keep New Zealand Beautiful week.
We have also created a cache and will be placing some of the TB's at the event in it. All the CITO attendees have signed the cache lid and donated items for it.
The Keep Porirua Beautiful coordinator came out with us today and we scouted a location for the new cache as well as visited 3 local caches - all good!
The BBQ was yummy, the weather fine, the company excellent and the swapping of ideas and tricks inspiring. Hopefully next year, other Cachers around New Zealand will be motivated to organise similar events - a little effort does go a long way and the long term benefits of a positive relationship with the local Councils cannot be underestimated.

Belatedly activating and dropping in my new coins.
If you want to 'discover' them and did not get the tracking numbers, please email me.
Likewise for the other coins I showed but did not 'drop' into the event - email me if you wanted to log any of them.
Cheers,
GenCuster.

The weather was great, the PCC support was great and the Cachers who attended were just awesome. Many thanks to those who wanted to, but could not, attend and who emailed me.
We all enjoyed ourselves and had a fabulous BBQ! Swapped a few TB's and TT's (Tall Tales). Oh yeah - cleaned up a good kilometre of the Porirua harbour shoreline. CITO is not so hard with a friendly crew!

Very enjoyable day out for ADV and adv. Great to catch up with the now familiar faces and meet some new ones, the weather was superb and we had a great barbie to follow. Quite a suprising haul of trash for a small amount of effort, I'm sure it was appreciated.
Many thanks to GenCuster and Kiwicaching for organising.

Thanks everyone for a really enjoyable day. Wasn't so bad collecting trash especially when everyone helps... and yet again followed up by an awesome event BBQ...outward bound you are a legend with the barbie!
Great to catch up with everyone and sneak in a cache just down the road.
Amazed at how much rubbish was collected and vow to never use a plastic straw again!
Thanks to GenCuster for another great event...when's the next?

As it turned out, it was an enjoyable mornings work - I was I admit a bit sceptical of just how much 'fun' picking up other peoples rubbish would be. Great to meet the familar faces once again, and to meet some new ones. Thanks for setting it up Kevin.
0Paco0, Red, Pepsi and Paco want you to know how enjoyable (or enjoy-a-bull ) this event was, although 0Paco0 has a sore back from all the bending over! Time to go to the gym, me thinks...
Good to meet some old and some new peole behind the creative caches and interesting usernames.
General Custer, thanks a bunch for organising this one [^]

Weather will be cool, don't worry about it.
Adding a few Geocoins and TB's found in the last week.

Please see amended web page re weather and alternate to Sunday if necessary.
If it is just a wee Southerly, the intention is to continue. Please ensure that you bring suitable clothing and footwear.
A late thought but we could retire to the hot pools nearby afterwards... Warm up a tad

Sadly we cannot attend this year, we have a family gathering to celebrate an 80th birthday and we don't think we would end up being able to stay long enough to pick up anything! GC has worked very hard to make this event come together and we hope it is a success and the beginning of many more to come. Maybe other regions will be inspired to host their own local CITO day for next year.
Yes, 0Paco0, Red and the dogs will be there on Saturday morning. Will check weather b4 we leave Palmerston North and if it looks reasonable here, we will make it - if event is off, we'll show Wellington to the dogs .
In Lower Hutt on holiday from Ashburton, so if we can swing it we might drop in for a while.
Request made to reviewer on 4th April to move the start coordinates to be on PCC land at the carpark. The original coordinates are on DOC land past the boat club and private boatsheds.
