Thanks, liked the kids activity and had fun playing with the other kids after the event.
Here are a couple of pics from today. Hope everybody had a good time, we enjoyed ourselves and had fun presenting the event.
Our 1415th cache and an absolute beauty.[^]
Thank you so much for sharing your valley with us. We had a wonderful family day and the people of Eudunda are so much friendlier than that other mob nearby.
We had a ball running around and visiting all 20 sites you had set up and attempting all the virtual’s as well as getting a horseshoe along the way.
These roads are all becoming very familiar to us and I am sure we will be back in the near future to find more caches in the area.
Thank you for the prize it is sitting on my desk where I can see it as I type this up.
Once again Thank you and well done.
Hip Hip Hooray

Thanks for a great day the boys loved it.
Thanks for my prize a lovely day in the country.
Thanks for my prize a lovely day in the country.
Thank you to all the cachers in Eudunda who organised this event. I had a great time with my new found caching buddies Campervanwannabes. We did really well, a little bit of local knowledge goes a long way! Good teamwork!
Will be back another day to clear up the caches I haven't done in the area and bring Mr S with me.

What a perfect cache to celebrate our 1300th [^]. And what a perfect day for some country caching and catching up with a lot of familiar faces and quite a few new ones. Great to finally put faces to names of the Eudunda mob . Auzee and I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed touring the local countryside, especially since it has greened up.
Many thanks to PG, matmob, mabar & CJ Postie. A very well organised event and you all deserve a round of applause. If you decide to do this again, my only suggestion would be to make it an overnight one so allow some more time for teams to take in the countryside.
Nevertheless, great stuff and again ‘well done’ to you all

What a great event, well organised, don't have anything to reference it too, but we had a blast, got the FTF for turning up way too early, and then were stunned to find by collecting 5 of those silver cuts outs we topped the list and took home first prize for the day. Was great to put the faces to the team names and pick up some more hints and tips for this interesting past time. Thanks to everyone involved in the organising of the event and to the Local generous sponsors. Will deffinately do it again.

Well, though I didn't attend the event proper, TeamAstro was there in spirit. What a huge effort for all those involved in setting up the event. No way could this all be done on a small motor bike [:p].
clear skies from TeamAstro.
PG actually did attend this Event - she forgot and only wrote a note ! I guess I'm allowed to log it as a find [?]
I did not have interaction with that moose....
Sorry, entered it as a retrieve instead of a discover by mistake.... putting it back into the Valley event.

Congratulations and Thanks to everyone (especially the 5374 Post Office Mob) for a great day! Also our tireless navigator "Mrs S" (Stanleys), who can now use 2 gpsr's simultaneously!!!! (Let us know when you are back!) Thanks too to TeamAstro for a great Bonfire. From CamperVanWannaBe's.
Thanks from DISK for a great day, full of friendly faces, good conversation, lots of tips and fun activities for us all.
We are finally able to put faces to the names we see on the logs !!!
Fantastic work from Postiegirl, Matmob, Mabar and Cjpostie - our first event cache will remain memorable for a long time to come.

What a great day this turned out to be. The postal service certainly delivered near perfect weather! It was great to see some of the lovely countryside surrounding the town, especially as it is greening up now.
Well done to the teams who did such a great job of organising the event. Thanks to Team Astro for the bonny afterwards - it provided a fitting end to the day.
Managed to find a hidden treasure - well hidden. In searching for the prizes in the kids activity, the kids managed to find 3 caches hidden in the park. 3? That's a bit strange, there is only supposed to be 2 here. Turns out that one of them was one of the Centenary of Federation caches that had gone missing more than two years ago! Can we claim 2 finds for that one now? And after 2+ years the contents were still perfectly dry!

Thanks Postie girl, Matmob, Marbar and CJ Postie we had a wonderful time. This was our first Event Cache and it mmost certainly won't be our last! Thumbs up from all.[^][^][^]
Loved the disks! What a great way to level peg it so beginners and experts were really in the race together!
The kids' activity was a hit. Thanks for saving some of those caches for our little latecomers!
Thanks to the local community for the beaut prizes of which we won one!
We will be back to the valley with fellow geo-cachers in tow to do the permanent ones!
(What is the story behind The Tinkers House?[?][?][?]......our story is that we had to tinker with our car wheel and thought our caching was up, but happily no!)

Just wanted to write a separate note to thank and recognise Team Asrto's MAGNIFICENT bonfire! For us this was our chance to meet everyone as sport had us arriving only just in the nick of time for the event cache! So this is where we really put names to faces and got to meet people! What a fantastic night/atmosphere!!![^][^][^][^][^]
We would love to come to another of these!!!!!! Even camp the night!! [|)][|)][|)]
Thanks again

mabar attended event and I think I can say it was a success, if the logs I have been reading are correct.Thank you to all who attended.Thank you also to matmob postiegirl06 and cjpostie for helping make the day great
Thank you so very much guys for a wonderful day - the amount of organisation required to make it such a fantastic event was really appreciated by all in the Wacky mobile, even the miniature brat boy commented on your 'phenomenal effort' - as a bonus, it was great to finally put faces to some familiar names, and the Astro-nomincal bonfire made a spectacular finish to the day - hope to catch up with you all again soon
(PS sorry about the late log, unfortunately life got in the way of geocaching)

Being my first time, I was really nervous about meeting lots of new people and although the Wackys had described the game to me I still didn't fully understand. You really need to participate to really understand the game and I had a ball and everyone I meet was really friendly, and the Bonny just topped the day off. Thankyou it was great.
Thanks so much to all the teams who attended our Day in the Valley of Hidden Treasures.

Thanks for a great day out. Your organisation of weather, cache, fun, sun and people was totally cool. Fully sick event folks.
Wow... what a cool day. Great to finally put some names to faces. It was good to be able to get a stack of caches done as well... even though Winterdragon and i came dead last!
Thanks to Postie Girl 06, Matmob, Mabar and DJPostie. It was great to meet you all and i hope to see you all down here for the SECS CCC event.

I feel really humbled by all the thanks that people are involving me in. I only got the token idea off the ground due to the technology at my disposal. Apart from that, the ladies did all the work. By the way Trev, it will be a few more weeks before our ears return to normal. Sgt Doug and I had a fun time out on the road but I guess all the empty containers that we found began to dampen our spirits. It was a great chance to meet up with all the cachers that I hear mentioned by name but have no idea who they are in person. To the Silver Snitch crew .... Love the glasses. Wished I could have made it to the Bon Fire (read the others logs) but a prior appointment in Mt Barker prevented me from that. Turns out the bonfire may have been a wiser choice. Cheers to you all and good to hear everyone had a great time.
Thanks to all that have planned this wonderful Event.
I got to meet lots of new faces, this game is really getting bigger every year.
It was only last October or November these locals started geocaching and already have put over 80 or more caches in the area.
I'll have to come back another day to find all the other caches
Cheers from Skippy&Lambchops

Although I was a late arrival and couldn't participate in the organised caches because I could only stay a couple of hours I had a great time and learned of few things along the way.
Thanks for organising this event and will attend more of these in the future with the other half of the team.
A great effort from the teams involved in organising this event.

Apart from precipitating divorce proceedings, based on navigation issues, it was a great day!(jk)
Thanks Postie girl, matmob, marbar and CJ Postie, you did good! All the elements were there. Good location, involvement for the kids, small and big, and perfect weather. Our main mission was to put faces to names, not only for us but our children, DKW_Hutch and Watchman -SA. Hence we took several photos, however we don't intend to post them, they are for family use only.
Congratulations to the organisers and "Thankyou" to the local business community for their support.

Thanks to postiegirl06, matmob, mabar and cjpostie for organising a great event!! Their excellent preparation ensured that all went smoothly, and a good time was had by all.
This was my first event cache, and a chance to put faces to some of the cacher names I keep running across. It was nice to meet you all, and will hopefully get to catch you all at the next event!

Forty-seven travel bugs! There's only one cache they'll all fit in: "The Asteroids: Ceres"
Sadly dkw, hutch & geokids have sporting commitments. We are dissapointed to be missing this event, especially it is close enough for a day trip from the Riverland.
We have requested that Poppadon & Rufus take lots of pictures so we can identify you all!
Have a great time everyone and we shall see you at the next event, which will hopefully be on a Sunday

Sorry to say that the shonky team is going to have to pull out of this one. Rather sorry to be missing it, but hope you all have a great day.
Looks like I've dodged another commitment for that day, so would love to come along and meet some fellow cachers.

a very reluctant CNA - netball umpiring, lolly counter roster, club teas cooking and High School prom made it just too hard to coordinate in one day. It sounds great and well organised - have a great time all.
Sorry to say that emeryco will not be able to make it. We like this area and we were looking forward to catching up with everyone. It sounds like Postie Girl and associates have done a great job organising things! Good luck with the event
HI All,
check out GC12QAZ for the after event event. All invited!!!
clear skies, TeamAstro.
(NB: even though the event is actually archived, it is still on.) [^]
1 Adult + 1 Adult = 2 Adults errr... Team A of Flipper&co will take note of trying to put faces to the names. Team R will be busy, so will have to drag them along another time.

Well,postiegirl06 thought she better give everyone an update for this Saturday and I will be posting final numbers here by Friday.
We will be placing about 20 temporary caches around the district, along with the kids caching activity that will be held first in the gardens.
Some of the game caches are situated near GC sites,so you will be able to grab some of those along the way if you wish.We have also made booklets containing the GC listed caches for our area that are on display.
Game Cache notes and rules will be given out on the day.
First Prize looks a treat so you should have an added incentive to head to 'The Valley of Hidden Treasures'
We have decided that a Second and Third Prize will be awarded and a free raffle draw as well.
Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday !
pg also dropped in Geosquid Geocoin

Had to wait until now to work this out as the footy season is only just starting. However, the Kettle boys have opted to miss footy next week in order to be in time for the kids activity. So our numbers will be:
2 adults + 4 kids (all boys) aged 13, 11, 8 & 8.
2 adults + 4 kids (all boys) aged 13, 11, 8 & 8.
Well it's only 10 days till the Event and the 5374 mob have pretty well got everything organized
What a great collection of TB's and GC's !
If planning to stop over please notify us by the middle of next week if you are planning on using the School facilities
Could everyone please log their Team numbers attending to help us finalize our planned activities. The following format would be most helpful to give us an idea of the children's ages attending on the day.
Example : Adults 2 Children 1 aged 6 1 aged 9 etc etc
We have been given some great support from our local business community and the First Prize is looking great!
Lastly, although there is seating in the park please do bring your own deck chairs also -
You never know - you may need them on the Saturday night [?]

Madre de dios! el golco was a month early visiting the valley today . Nevertheless we had a great round trip from Tanunda to Burra and back: beautiful weather, interesting villages, countryside that reminded us of Spain and seven caches logged Doesn't get much better than this.
Happy eventing. I'll keep a watch on it from Hobart

Sounds like lots of fun. 1 adult 1 child maybe i'll have better luck finding caches this year then i did at the event.
The DISK team would love to come and meet you all (No - this is not an April Fools day joke)!
That is 2 + 2 will be there.

We hope to have lunch wrapped up by about 12.30 - 1 pm to give everyone a few hours caching along with the activity we have planned. Please give us a bit of an idea on numbers for Adults/Children attending if you can. This will help us for numbers re our planned activites.
Dropped in Ye Olde PMG Bike TB and postiegirl06's travelling postcard GC for the event.
A busy month, but we would love to come. Will confirm closer to the day. Bugger the kids Sat sports, we have to prioritise don't we?
hmm its tempting to spend the weekend up there camping and doing a few caches, since i havent been up there since CCC.
There seem to be a few caches around that are accessable by a lowered lancer, so ill have a think about it
Though the 10 man tent might be overkill this time, though those that witnessed the erection (of the tent) at the CCC did have fun
Will see how things pan out, and now doubt there will be many more caches placed in the area between now and then to tempt me even more

Arrrrrrrrgh Saturday Sport strikes again to destroy all potential plans! Won't say definite no but an unlikely yes.
Currently checking all possibilities. Let you know our flight plan closer to the match! What time would you envisage lunch going to????????
Meanwhile hope your seeking is Muggle free!
