Bad weather in Mt Gambier so I head to the big smoke for some sun and fun. Caught up with Aussie M & M and brisal5 and off on a caching evening
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
It may still be there, but I am away till at least the 16th January if someone knows where it is and can check for me that would be awesome... otherwise if need be shut it down, but I'll do my best when I get home to check...
Went on a trip with the Honeysuckers to attend the grandfinal. Between us, we had all the clues but the final was nowhere to be found. It has been a while since the cache was last found.
At long lust I attended the Grand Final today. Why it took me so long in the line is anyone's guess. I had actually found all of the caches a long time ago (yes, I am one of those that really did find all of them) but circumstances meant that I missed out on the real game. Finding this is a bit like watching a previous final on DVD, or on a late night replay.
Anyway, I've seen it now. And what a spot. A lovely spot today. I think I was the only one who lined up to get in. I had it all to myself.
Clear skies to voogoofish from TeamAstro. much appreciated [^]

We collected the pieces for the cache some time ago. Today, after enjoying a coffee in Stirling with friends, we all set off for a short walk before lunch.
I was a bit worried as to which NAIRNE-BREMER we needed, but a quick search revealed a tucked-away cache in good condition.
Thanks voogoofish---we've finished both of these now!

Well, a nice mild day for a walk. Not sure why the sign says there's heavy machinery around as there wasn't much evidence of that.

Can the clues from the archived cache and from the travel bug which has gone missing be added to this cache page please[?]

Scratching my head as to how a cacher has managed to find this cache without finding a single other HFL cache.....
Finally, have had all the clues for some time but the grand final has had numerous postponements, enjoyed the series immensely and even though we did not make the top 8 coming twelveth is better than a wooden spoon on 16th only a little better!!! Picked GC as its been here for a while TFTC Voogoofish
I still have KERSBROOK and MACCLESFIELD to complete. However I believed I enough information to make a find. Especially now that I knew about the NAIRNE BREMER.
Off I went in the right direction. Plenty of information to tell me I had come to the right place. That means I did not need MACCLESFIELD. Onwards to more details. Perfect.
However there is an awful lot of NAIRNE BREMER's when you look around in a forest. Heaps. Starting to wish I knew how far a KERSBROOK was? Then I spied a correct item at, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ahh, the correct distance. Goal. Eleventh this year. Same position on the ladder last year.
Go the Power.

Finally found after missing the end of the season though suspension. The clues led us directly to the cache. took Tb and left a GC. Thx vg's for the series. Cant wait for the AFL series to came out.
Milestone! Very appropriately named cache for the occasion: Grand=1000, Final=finale. Left Civil War Bullet TB. Thanks for another great series voogoo!
A late start to the season for the Posspet Boys but after getting all the clues yesterday I headed off this morning to a place I knew well as a kid. Many memories of weekends spent there. Followed all the instructions and easily found the cache. Considering I didn't have all the digits from one of the caches this was good. Great to come eighth in the finals. Cheers from the Posspet Boys.
Yippee we came 5th in this series
Torrens Valley 13.10 (82) def. Kangarilla 12.12 (78)

Just like Port Adelaide it was the new recruit who helped carry the day.
Wacky joined us for the hunt today and she did her part to get us into a winning position. Team work made it all possible.
This has been a fun series. Thank you I have had fun.

Yep, definitely team work was the order of the day making the completion of this series one big adventure - thanks for all the effort you have put into this series
We haven't got to Callington or Kersbrook yet, missed those, but came good for the final! Managed an easy find in the end to get on the immortality board!

Thanks for another great series Voogs...

With the Help of Team Ermalesh who had collected all the clues and the coords from the previous cache we headed off to find the Grand Final. Followed the map from the clues and Ta Da! Mrs E soon had cache in hand. TNLN TFTC
Woohoo! Joint Runner Up for the Premiership with Chizbeki. Mr E who is at work this weekend in Sydney should be very proud of the rest of the team. In fact, we dedicate this season's performance to him .
What a fantastic endpoint to another great series Mr Voogs. I kind of think this would be a rather appropriate venue for a geocaching picnic and certainly an area we will return to. We made the dash for the cache at the end of the day as the sun was beginning to set. Gave the geocoin in the cache to Mr C as thanks for his efforts in helping us to finish the final cache in the series.
Left: our relief at not having to chase over the state to find the grand final travel bug - because we all know how much stress that caused in our household last year

With immortalisation as the prize how could anyone resist lining up to play in this game!
Have a feeling that I had a distinct advantage here though, with the grand final being played on my home ground [^]
Game was pretty much by the numbers with a relatively quick match played out in the glorious morning light. Left a geocoin, a wibble pathtag & frog-light.
Cheers, thanks for another fun series and to all the Voogoofishes CONGRATULATIONS on the new addition to the team

It would be local knowledge and probably a bit of luck! I have run GPS exercises/games around this area a few times before for scouts & venturers. So as soon as I saw the instructions & had half the info I needed, I was petty sure where it was.
Cheers
