As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

26-Feb-12
First DNF for the day... Note for future ventures.. There is a better road to come in on... We will be back to see if we can retrieve the cache...

I found where I thought this would be and caught a glimpse of it. It was full of spiders though. I wasn't brave enough to put my hands in, but when I tried to pry it out with a stick I reckon I might have pushed it in further.
I am sorry if that's the case.

Wow, we wonder how some of these places are found for caches. We were even more surprised reading previous logs about a finder who was camping nearby, where???

Went for a walk in the dark to find this one as we were camping nearby. Very cold night and there were zombies about.

Especially when we looked to the east and saw the headstones in the graveyard.

Back quickly to the campsite to get warm in front of the fire

Finally got it. Gps and all these goat tracks. So lonely out here

A lovely spot that we enjoyed visiting. Driving here was fun too, as we took the quickest route from the Keys cache up in Webb Gap.

Found the container in the not-so-obvious location. I'm sure a larger box would fit in the most obvious spot, but might not last as long either.

Thanks mabar.

Interesting place, not only is the cemetery split in two but a headstone is holding up a fence post, inovative to say the least.tftc

Found by Mary & David at 1610. A wonderful place. We looked at the old cemetery and there are grape hyacynths here and there. The sheep were not used to seeing travellers down this road. Our thanks once more to mabar.

Why is it that the number of visits to a cache increase when there's an orienteering event nearby? Unlike the other two I found this cache on the way to the event.

20-Jun-09
Quick find after running around the nearby hills.

20-Jun-09
Found just on sunset after orienteering, didn't have time to look around this particular cemetery.

Walked up to the graves, before checking the GPS and realising we were nowhere near the cache Red Face.
Back-tracked and located it quickly.

Thanks again mabar.

Wow interesting about grave - feel sad - isolated... SL. Thanks Mabar for show me also organising the cache and hunt.

10-Apr-09
We thought it was unusual to find such a quiet little cemetery here. We didn't go inside, but thought it may have been a private plot due to the headstones all appearing similar from a distance. Strange, but quiet place. TFTC.

A beautiful spot - we had to shush up because the flock of sheep were having a snooze. Filled in the log, enjoyed the view and we headed off. thanks Thanks mabar

Would love to know the history of some of these farming communities. The cache was exposed to the elements so we signed log and covered it up as much as possible. Guess the winds may blow the coverings off at times. Thanks again mabar.

Very quiet here today. Thanks mabar

30-Dec-07
Another forgotten cemetery. There’s a lot of dead people scattered about these parts Wink. Well we were quiet – the cache hardly even noticed us [^]

15-Dec-07
These old cemeteries are absolutely fascinating - tucked away in little spots away from anywhere. One wonders where all these people lived - there certainly doesn't seem to be enough corresponding ruins or existing houses around close by. Was nearly dark by the time we got here, and starting to rain but that all added to the atmosphere! TFTC mabar, TNLN

Amazing place in the middle of nowhere. Makes you really wonder about our forbears. Must have been a hard life. Left the letters S and H to spell SH. Quiet very appropriate. Now- just to get out of here. Fantastic drive in and out. TFTC

Interesting walk around the cemetery while someone else signed the log. TFTC

What an amazing area - who would have know it was here? (locals obviously!) Had been psyched up for a long search (not terrific with micros) but Gum-Nut proudly had it in hand before I could get out of the car - to an 11 year-old it is obvious?. SL. Thanks again Mabar

It was a lovely tranquil and peaceful spot today.
Thanks for showing it to me. Cheers.

Again in the Eudunda/Kapunda region for some more caching. This is what we love about caching - another drive to an area to an area we have never visited!

TNLNSL and spent some time exploring the cemetery…I wonder if we could be buried here! TFTC,

Cheers, Rav 4 Raiders

Coords took us close to the GZ and we looked in ‘the likely spot’ without luck. Wandered around and kept returning again to ‘the likely spot’ then we looked in ‘an unlikely spot’ within ‘the likely spot’ and – voila! Clever hide.
Peaceful spot, although we did have to negotiate a mob of sheep on the road.
Thanks mabar for showing us our third cemetery in two days.

A lovely spot.

If you wanted to be buried, this would be the spot. Across the road with a fence could be site 2, as some have chosen. I'll pick the main house Big Grin.
clear skies and thanx for bringing us here. TeamAstro.

Coords were a little out on this one, but still managed to find it. And it was quiet, apart from the eerie bird calls!!

So very very close to giving up when I finally laid my hands on the cache about 15m away from GZ, and what a place for a micro, there are a gazillion places to hide one here - TFTC Big Grin

8 of 21 found with 1 DNF for the day

We spent way too long on this one.
Had even given up at one stage with the others getting into the car.
I was still searching another spot when Waky got out and had another shot and came up a winner.
We were trying too hard to find it and the hide wasnt as devious as the locations we were coming up with.
Found about 15 metres away from GZ.
Graves in all directions on both side of the road. I went for a wander around looking at them. Well I had plenty of time as we spent ages here.

Well I'm a silver penguin today. Yay! Looked and looked but after moving the search 10m north it was found without a problem. TFTC

14-Apr-07
Investigated the wrong option until SNP came up with the goods about 10 metres away.

Silver? What are the local cachers doing? SmileSmileSmile

Thanks for the cache.

Well what can I say ! This is a great cache and I tell you mrs mabar I nearly had a DNF! I have never been to this location before, although I had said I was going too Razz
But you have beaten me to it and this is a Great Hide!
I actually was at GZ first but no Sat Loc here sent me in all directions! Took me nearly thirty minutes to locate the cache Red Face due to a brilliant camo job! SL Then it took me nearly the same time to put it back! Infact if I hadn't caught a glint on my final look I would have given up!
Thanks for a Good Friday mornings fun mabar and a FTF [^]
