Had a bit of a walk round the area after finding this cache, what and interesting area
As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Cache is obviously gone so I am disabling until such time that I am able to replace it.
Add us to the DNF list. Wasn't in the obvious spot (or any of the others we checked).
Arrived at gz & met in the carparking area with RachelsRiffRaff. Joined forces to try our luck here but the likely hidey hole was empty. tmann421 confirmed he had previously found it there.....looks like it gone
Had a small search with Tui's Return & Tmann421 before going on to Fantail Forest. Seems pretty obvious its MIA. Was a great hidey spot tho'. Always an issue, placing a hide in the local haunts, but thanks for the plan. Cheers
Could not find! Found a nice hole for the cache! Maybe it was stolen???

Unsuccessfully attempted this cache with Seagnoid and EtherMiss.
Went off to find Fantail Forest and then attempted again on our way back to the car; still unsuccessful.
Found a nice deep place jurer n oenapu bapr jnf, but the nearby beer bottles made us think the worst

Nice setting by the river...kids got a bit freaked out by the swing bridge...lol. T.F.T.C. S.L

A quick find with Boxhill, -gonefishing- and Yeetrees on a caching expedition in the area today. Signed log, TFTC!
Yay. This time we found it
*SPOILER ALERT*
We had looked in the deeper hole right next to it before, but missed the side one... go figure huh.

Visited this cache today in response to A " could not find" and found the cache safe in sound in its protective camouflage wrapping right where it is supposed to be!
We went out here but couuldn't find it anywhere. We found a place that looked like it might have been there. Does anyone know if the cache is still there?
3337 We rested not far from Alma for the night and Mr Geckoh waded the river to find Alma in the early morning, then off for home we headed. Would have loved to linger longer in the area and collected a few more Palmy caches but work calls! TFTC
Our 4th cache of the day while returning home from holidays. A lovely river stop area, pity some overbite campers ruin it by leaving bags of rubbish. Thanks.

This is somewhere I've been meaning to visit for ages, nice spot and cool camo, TFTC!
Had a good look for this one but no luck today. Will head back for another look one day. Great location for a picnic or camping. TFTC
Nice place to have a streach or camp out. Took a few minutes to find because camo blended in so kicked myself when i did find it. Signed log. TFTC
Had to explain to the people camped 3m away what we were doing lurking behind their bus!
Had two shots at it, but found it easy enough with the GPS. Nice place to visit. Kids want to go back.
Found by Mr Geodatum and Chrissy, with Edvern, on a second attempt for geodatum. Definitely not a picnic day today. Container smaller than expected - not really room for swaps. TFTC
Nice easy find, cache was pretty much exposed, however well camoflaged. Would be a nice camping spot in the summer. TFTC.
Found with a little bit of searching. TFTC Really like the bridge. The kids had fun going over it numerous times.
Definitley a place for a rest sat down on the grass then remembered it had been raining earlier shows I'm blond soon dried out ready for the next cache
Played on bridge with younger sister. Loads of fun. Found with NZMamma and chazzanz
Nice easy one to find. Still discovering beautiful spots we didnt know were in Feilding!!! TFTC

Had to drop a friend off down the road to went an extra mile to find this. Had a quick walk through budh nearby. Very cool. TFTC
Found it on my second visit - just about gave up - OK one more look and I found it TFTC
We think we were in the right place- "averaged the gps's confusing readings but did not find it. There was a large pile of cut branches around a possible site. The other possible site had places where there were branches missing but no luck. Friday 13th!!!. Geodatum.
After finding the cache we headed onto the foot bridge to play pooh sticks. We almost ended up with a Shrek bridge parady when it started swaying. I was not happy but bravely planted my feet, declared we were far enough over the river to play, got the game rolling then got off there as fast as I could. I use the word "bravely" rather loosely

Another great little place to visit and chill - if I lived here I'd never go to work just spend my time visiting these lovely reserves and caching. I actually looked at the cache site and container three times before I realised what I was looking at!

Nice Little spot.
Would have liked to have explored the area a bit more but ran out of time as we need to be back in Hamilton later on in Pm.

Wow what a great little spot for a cache, love the mushrooms that are growing nearby, found cache easily and managed to retrieve it with little hassles, TFTC TNLNSL (596)

Had a reasonable look but was interrupted by lawnmowers. Maybe need to come back for a 2nd look.
Another pleasant reserve to return to when I have more time to enjoy it. The river would be very inviting on a hot day. TFTC
Cool place on a hot day... shoud have brought along togs and towel. We loved it out here and will come again over the summer. TFTC
Back in the area so thought we would knock this one off the list now it has been replaced. Quick, easy find where we expected it to be last time. Made sure we re-hid well. Thanks for replacing the cache. NINO, #629
Replaced cache today. It is a small cylindrical container covered with camo tape and securely hidden ( I hope!). When replacing it scatter a few dead leaves on top of where it is located. Thanks.
I will go out and check on this cache during the week or next weekend and replace if necessary.
A pleasant place to stop on the way home. Unfortunately couldn't find the cache. Pretty sure we found the right spot, given the clue, so unless the co-ords are way off, it may have gone Will keep an eye on this one as it should have been easy!
As we approached GZ there was guy loitering about with 2 dogs, he kinda looked like Jules Mikus, he wanted to shoot the breeze, I finally got him disinterested in conservation(about the time I said we where from Auckland).
Nice easy find, thanks for bringing us here, lovely picnic area.

This one had me flummoxed as the GPS was bouncing around and I searched and searched and just as I was resigned to a DNF a rebooting of the trusty GPS found the location with a greater degree of accuracy.
Replaced log with a new one together with tape for the cap. Checked coords. All OK.

Nice spot for a picnic, had our lunch before making the find. Agree with mtbskier, that someone tried to bbq the cache.

Popular spot today with a couple of muggle families picnicing/swimming nearby on a lovely summers day. A couple of girls also walked down the riverbed shallows on their horses! Great spot. Many thanks for bringing me here.
Found cache OK. Looked if somebody tried to light a fire in the hiding place.

A lovely spot - is this one of the locals' best kept secrets? Wonderful swimming spot for younger members.
Had to be discreet due to a muggle car parked oh so close to GZ. Watching us closely from the bridge.

On our way home to Hamilton after a South Island trip.
The hint made this fairly easy to find. Had a coffee break before moving on.
+ a marble, - nothing.

12.40pm. At first I thought this would be tricky. There was a troop of scouts camped in the open space. But the cache was just out of sight so I was OK. Thank you. David
Found on a trip heading north to the Day / Night Thriller MTB event at Taupo. We enjoyed checking out the gnarly old trees in the area. Thanks for an interesting stop.

Ronbu visited at 1645. Cunningly concealed. The additional hint was helpful, although first off I got the wrong tree. Looks like a good spot for a family outing and the bridge across the river looks to lead to an interesting area to explore. LNTN TFTC
Third cache of the day. Weather starting to clear but the river is up quite high. Nice little spot for a picnic when the weather is better.
