Meh. Time to go methinks. I do like the view up here still, but the place is a tip more often than not.
Given a couple of DNF's and the amount of rubbish in the area, this one can come offline for a while whilst I consider if it gets replaced or not.
May be muggle free, bUT THERE ARE SYRINGES, UNDIES, BROKEN GLASS EVERYWHERE - BAD SPOT.
But views are GREAT.
But views are GREAT.
Found this one a while ago with a few others. Only recently realised that I hadn't log them here.
Was wanting to find this one as it is my grandaughters name.

Boy this place needs cleaning up. Glass, food containers etc. Great views on a nice day I would say. Today was not a nice day but the weather doesn't deter us cachers does it. Left some 'jewels' in keeping with the theme and a klem bear and took nothing. Thanks Dylanja.
umm yeah found. nice view here, never knew it was here.
thanks for bringing me here

Found at 1520hrs after a quick search ranger 2 had the cache in hand. There were some muggles in a car but they were facing the other way. TNLNSL Thanks Dylanja.
#6 on my Family Caching Treat!
Echoing warning of others:
DO NOT LET KIDS DO THIS ONE!!! GLASS EVERYWHERE NEAR CACHE!
but thankfully not at the actual hide, but very close to it!
Also note you can note that Coach Rd stops here!!! Even though the google maps indicate otherwise.
TNLNSL TFTC Another good view!

Better luck today. This time we got out of the car only to be faced with a local and his young daughter, who seemed intent on asking us lots of questions about walking through from here to Summertown. One would think as a local he would know more than us but we suspect that he thought WE were about to be doing dodgy things and wanted to keep us talking. We went for a short walk down the hill before doubling back to find the area mercifully empty of people and found the cache quickly and carefully (lots of broken glass).

Getting the cache was easy enough but putting back was challenging as three cars pulled up as I was heading back to the hiding spot. No dodgy activity today however. Just some people walking their dogs. TNLNSL. Thanks Dylanja!
Got to gz and the likely hiding area was immediately obvious. A quick scan produced nothing and I was about to get serious when the hide was espied. I didn't have any of the other searcher's events, fortunately! thanks Dylanja. Caching takes one to the oddest places!
Not relatively muggle free for us!
Drove up here to find two blokes sitting in a car, apparently "having a chat".
No probs. We decided to see if we could outlast them, so we sat innocently in the car, as others have done, and looked at the marvy sunset and the poor koala in the tree on the top of the ridge getting blown about.
Then the two blokes started up their car and left. Yippee!
Oh wait, another car has pulled up behind us. Out jumped two more blokes, who headed straight behind the bush about 10m from GZ (and still in view of the car park).
One of them pulled his pants down...
We left pretty quickly after that! We'll try and find the cache at another (hopefully more family friendly) time!

Found with a friend who's new to geocaching. Was pretty disgusted at the state of the area - broken glass, condoms, etc. Not a nice "first cache" for her.
Good to get my closest traditional to home done though - drove up (as opposed to my usual caching by bicycle.)
From the look of google maps, I thought we were going to be able to drive on to Rockdale, but apparently not!

Well there were muggles here when we arrived - we think they might have been having a quiet after work smoke of some thing other than cigarettes. But never mind we parked and looked innocent and outlasted them. We made them uncomfortable so they moved off. Mr Mad had the cache within 30 seconds. No swapping done today. Thanks for the nice views!
left a pretty piece of jewellery.
Took away a whole bag of rubbish from around the site.

Nice easy cache with wonderful views. Doesnt get much better. Thanks Dylanja
A nice quick easy find for us tonight - not tempted to go for the other caches though either I'm afraid - TFTC
Found at 14:15. Spotted this one on the radar whilst driving nearby. Was tempted to go into the park to grab the other aches - fortunately we had the dog with us. Nice easy find. More of that nasty get-on-your-clothes black paint though.
Thanks Dylanja. I think we've found all your east-side caches now.

Found by Mary & David at 0825. Now we'll be hearing that tune for the rest of the day. Too misty for views today though. Collected 'Valley of Hidden Treasures Travelling Coin'. Our thanks to Dylanja.
Well it was muggle free when I found the cache. Pity about all the rain last night - I slipped in the wet while retrieving the container and ended up sitting in the mud . Then a car pulled up as I was sitting in the car signing the logbook - they just sat there and it looked like it was going to be a mexican standoff - but after 10 minutes a group of walkers came out from the track, and in the commotion of packing up etc, I snuck the container back into place under my jacket.
Apart from all that, it's an interesting area with a great view!

Don't know about muggle free. There was a car full of smoking muggles when we approached, but they didn't stick around to see what the three blokes in the 4wd wanted.
Found 09:45. Quick find, despite the abandoned muggle mobile being almost on top of GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Went to this one with my daughter who placed it. She doesn't believe in giving any hints. Made me do all the work. Thanks sweetheart. Took nothing. Left Travel Bug Scotland.
I got a lot of enjoyment finding this little
cache
Sure the area isn't the most pristine. But if the cache wasn't there then I would never have discovered the fantastic cross country bike track that connects it with the nearby caches
The views along the way and the sensation of riding along the ridgetops to get here was, er, FUN !!

Found during middle of the day and middle of a storm, so zero muggles about. A little apprehensive about feeling around this area.......but found quickly. Cheers Dylanja.
Having met Dylanja on 19/05/07, at another cache, I had to do hers. 2nd for the day. Took CWA Spoon, left 2 Headed Tasmanian (twice as smart). Not having a map, and being a visitor to SA, I probably drove 10Ks more than I had to. TFTC
Nice view but some constructive critism I would have to agree with there being better hiding spots. The rubbish is gross and as for sticking my hands down there maybe gloves would be best.
4 of 17 found and 1 DNF today
Wow I don't think I have ever see so many tissues at a cache location.

A quick find, not keen on the rubblish element here though! CITO required.

I think this one could have been hidden in a better spot, given all the bush around. The area was a veritable rubbish tip. Had to make the find while two male muggles bonged-on over on the other side of the carpark. Thankfully, they left before we did. TNLN. Cheers
I'd say it gets very busy here at night, if you know what I mean . Although, once we got out the car, the other cars seemed to leave for some reason.
No problems locating the cache. TFTC.

Still getting used to caching at night. The youths left as they didn't like us snooping around so had some peace and quiet to search for the cache.
Very busy night.... I am guessing that apart from the law abiding cachers there were a few kids doing donuts, couples making out and lots of cars just hanging out.... very suss.
nice view especially at night

How freakin busy is this place at night??
Ok, I was there for a while trying to solve some puzzles, (ok, quite a while)and enjoying the view but the number of cars that come and go?
The most interesting was some blue and red flashing lights then came down the road from the bush side. And just after Mrs Z said 'don't expect me to bail you out when the police get you'..
They just sat and looked from a distance to the east, I just sat and looked, and worked on the puzzles as I already had the cache. After a long while they went away. Along with the couple making out and the various other visitors.
I have no idea what was happening.
All a bit weird.

How many times up here?? And this time for a cache.
Snapped a pic of the haze over Adelaide. Power angle.
Clear skies, TeamAstro.

Sunset would have to be the perfect time to look for this cache. Such a lot of elevation. Red sky at night sailors delight.
Once upon a time I had determined that the shonky band was within 20m. Then I was told I was wasting my time.
Tin to the frog nation. No muggles in residence but some arriving as we left.

A FTF for the Stanleys!! Could not believe it seeing how long the cache had been published. All other cachers must be away or at Oakbank.
Took a while to find as we were wary of sticking our hands in holes and there were 3 car loads of muggles who were present at some time in our visit. Last time we were here there were another couple of cars so would not call it relatively muggle free.
Thanks Dylanja. TNLNSL
