Unfortunately, there's been no response from the CO regarding the need for maintenance. Sad! Time to bring this cache to the attention of a Reviewer to determine its future. Hopefully, the CO will act so this cache can continue.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
I’m back visiting from Brisbane and spent the day on the North Shore finding 16 caches plus 2 DNFs. Carefully looked where I think it should be plus surrounding area but no luck for me.

It's $2.50 Day so today's adventure was to enjoy a run by public transport to Balmoral Beach.
After a coffee and a muffin (yummo), it was time for a spot of caching. I was aware trams came to Balmoral and it's entirely possible I travelled on them. Too bad we still don't have a tram system in Sydney, like Melbourne!
I found the way up to GZ and loved the cutting. The cache was quickly found. There were no ants today but everything was sodden and there's no way to sign the logbook. I'm actually surprised no one has posted a Needs maintenance log.
This is a lovely spot to come to and I like the way the cache is hidden. Well done.
Thanks for the geo-fun Mr, Mrs & Little Miss Nilbog_Aus.

This cache is in desperate need of a TLC visit by the CO. The logbook is sodden and can't be signed. The container is quite damp and needs a good clean out. Hope you can get to it soon Nilbog_Aus.
I suspect about the time this cache was hidden, but before I started caching, I did an orienteering race that had a checkpoint within a couple of metres of GZ. Maybe if I had stumbled across this then I might have started caching earlier?
Like others have said, log back is not signable.

Took a bit with the authentic camo! Ants are still there and were a bit surprised to see another bloody geocacher! TFTC
Was nearby for dinner and saw this. A cool spot with nice camo, but sadly, as with previous finders, the log was too wet to sign. TFTC.
# 8269 In Sydney to support my partner, also a geocacher, iPlod65 run the Bondi to Manly ultra-marathon. While she's running, I grabbed a few caches. I enjoyed the history of this place. Sadly, I couldn't sign due to an ants nest. Picture available on request.
Thanks Mr, Mrs & Little Miss Nilbog_Aus

Yay, thanks Dozzie for opening my eyes, and yes cache has been overwhelmed by and water seepage. I should have seen the sign
Thanks to some help from Its Dozzie….. (previous finder) cache was finally in hand!!
Kicking myself for not finding it myself but was rushing back home for appointment.
Great cammo…..the signage helped a lot!
Photo taken as log to wet to write on.

An interesting history about the tramline and it would have been quite an technical accomplishment given the steep ascents and descents in this area.
A short walk up the steps followed by a short trail brought me to GZ. The cache was quickly found. Lots of ants but more problematic was the waterlogged cache container.
It has been raining a lot over the past weeks, so I reckon the water seeped in.

Since 9 people have successfully navigated the ants, we are not going down with some spray to this bush land cache!
Let us know if there is some other issue with it!
Happy hunting!

Nice camo! Cache is a bit water logged and an ant colony has made home in and around it
OCW JimmyDave around Balmoral and Mosman. This is a really cool hidden location we were not aware of. FP for cache camo and location. Thanks.
Down this way to grab some specific caches, and after having found 3/4 of those, we let our hair down, and found what we could of whatever else was in the area. I am glad we found this, as i like railway history, and appreciate any caches that have this theme. Not haveing researched this particular cache, i was suprised to see the working marks in the sandstone, as we entered the cutting up the stairs, which are well concealed. Was just wondering about these, as we came across the second of the info boards, and there you go, all was revealed. Cache was a quick find once at gz, though those pesky ants have really moved in. The inside of the container has been invade as well. Cleane it out as best we could. TFTC. Fav for the historical aspect.
I really enjoyed this cache found with GeoIan. What a hidden piece of Sydney's history with the tram tracks still at this site. The rockface and tree growing on and down it is beautiful. Thank you for this cache.
As previous logs have mentioned - loads of ants. I managed to sign the logbook but they just seem to wanna build a whole colony in the cache. That aside- this is a cool little tram cutting and surprisingly cool on a hot day. TFTC- second find of the day.
Found after the nearby event. Another fascinating area and discovery. Wow - never knew this was here.

TFTF. Quick find whilst popping down to Balmoral. Be wary we found lots of ants and a huge huntsman spider
TFTC. Really cool track which we walked on nearly every weekend in Summer when we were muggles. Found Kevin08 a week ago so it was a very easy find. Really really good camouflage and a good , suitable container. Thanks
Really fascinated by the walk to this one - a hidden gem with an interesting history so thanks for choosing this location. TFTC
Parkrun nearby and then some local caches around Mosman and Balmoral before heading south again for some caching along the way.

Waiting for the geo wife to pick me up after a swim I decided to bolt up here to look for this one. Alas, I was defeated after only a short look with several groups of people on a busy day in Balmoral. I shall return.
Was about to log a DNF when muggle husband searched more thoroughly than I had the first go. Required a bit of effort to remove but managed OK. Seems to be that ants have made themselves at home in the immediate surrounds but not in the cache itself. Nice sunny day for fish and chips by the beach and incidental caching!
Third time lucky. What a difference it makes when you have a 'mum' look. Nice to turn a DNF into a smiley face. TFTH TFTC SL
After waiting for the Muggles to pass I looked around and made the find, what a great hiding spot. tftf tftc!
Read the clue and I knew what I was looking for because I had found Kevin08 a week ago. Found it quite easily. I didn’t know this where the trams stopped
Ah, the old fake log trickeroo. I'll have to get up there and give it another go.
After over 8 weeks in lockdown checked cache. Sorry to those that can’t find it - but it seems this one is hard. We have upped the difficulty.
To the 7 or so people that have found a lonely zip lock bag that has nothing to do with geocaching or sitting near a rock and have said they found the cache - you haven’t found it- found it notes deleted..
Cache was safe and sound and dry and exactly where it was when we left it. Cache is absolutely not just a plastic ziplock bag!! We have taken a nearby ziplock bag with a pad in it away - If you find another one then don’t log it - it’s not the cache.
Cache is fine. It’s very sturdy and complete. If you want to see similar, go and find Kevin08 - camo is the same - happy hunting.

Team Sissifalke, please stop logging a find. As per your log and photo the cache is not a logbook in a bag. Your photo proves you didn’t find it. Today it was in its same safe place since we redid it in September 2019 when we replaced it.
Well, there was no cache container or log book, only a very wet business card in a very wet small plastic bag. So, Geobunny and I placed the log book with a new plastic ziplock a new ziplock bag. Placed in same location. Needs Maintenance, a new hard plastic container. Cheers.
Only found the log bag! We think it has been taken by a muggle! We think we found it based on others photos though the paper inside has no link to geocaching.
Found pretty easily. It’s hard if you don’t know where the public walkway is on the hill but once you find it and walk the path it’s smooth sailing. Didn’t write in log as bag was full of water
Could not find the cache. Believe it has been muggled. My geo buddy pointed out where it should have been after thoroughly searching the area.
A nice walk along the promenade at the Balmoral Beach and around.
Here I only found a bag with the logbook.
Thanks a lot

Well that one had us stumped for a while. Clever piece of camo. Just about to leave when we suddenly stumbled on it.
Upped the difficulty to map it to our cache with similar container. It’s pretty old school, so happy hunting.
I noticed this had been replaced recently, and I decided it made an excellent target for this afternoon.
Nicely constructed camo.

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Don't know if it is still in place but making time in the next fortnight to check on it
No luck. Nothing there that seems 'deliberately very easy'! May have been muggled...
Great find, but there isn’t a pen/pencil so I couldn’t write down the name and date.
This was an easy find. Quite wet around the area though because of the heavy morning rain. Thanks for the cache!
Found on a walk from Mosman. We found the history of this area really interesting. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
This one jumped out at me, how has it not been muggled... hmmm
Anyway, Thanks for that, only a few more in Balmoral left
Thanks

Found this one just sitting there on top of the sign... I know its a nice area, but surely not that nice that you can leave a geocache just sitting there. After reading a few logs and seeing a suspicious geo-pile, we returned it to where we believed it should have been hidden- Lots of trackables inside. We added another. TFTC- our first on what was a highly enjoyable day geocaching around Balmoral.
