Im kinda glad it has been archived...we visited a week ago...and found it...but theres someone there camped up with dogs in cages and a car with no number plate...could be all safe but gave me the heebiegeebies and Im a good ol kiwi girl!

We didn´t know what a scarp is either but concerning the possible higher water level it was quite obvious where to look for.

Took us a bit of driving to find the correct spot, but once we did, we just settled in and had lunch right there. The water certainly was tempting, but still too chilly! Found the cache pretty quickly, but replacing its hiding place took a lot more effort!
Found at 9:07am.
Did this one the hard way as there were muggle campers right there.
Walked along the river bank and son found cache site.
Nothing in cache so we left a GeoCoin for the next visitors.
Would have gone for a swim except I did not want to freeze to death.

My seventh find of the day. I missed this when I drove past the first time. I saw the sign for Dublin Bay and drove down there to grab another cache before returning to get this one. What an awesome swimming hole, I'll have to return in the summer.

We figured out what a scarp was and then found it quickly. A nice spot to come to. TFTC
Another quick find for us after a bumpy drive it! Spotted it right away even though we didn't know what the hint was. There would be no swimming today, as the water was running very high and fast. The rope swing would not be needed today!

Yes this was a lovely spot but it is starting to gather a lot of rubbish left around , what a shame ,nice easy cache. cheers
Lots of bottles about but no fishies in the water. After the rain, the two couches didn't look too enticing either. TNLN Thanks.
Found without descriptors. Unusual site and surprised drunken muggles had not destroyed it - plenty of empty beer cans about. Swapped Queenstown fridge magnet for boomerang. TFTC
The GPS was a bit erratic, so we wandered around a few wrong places before finally getting it.

Camping muggles everywhere, cache placed conveniently away from the tents but quite close to a group enjoying a dip in the swimming hole so a bit of stealth was needed.

2nd for my holiday trip. Had help from my Father and some others. Did this in the evening just on dark as it was too hot to do in during the day.
Drove up and drove away without looking, nice hot day heaps of people at GZ.

One of a series of very enjoyable caches we found on our 10 day tour of the the South Island. Searching for caches along the way made it far more exciting than it would have been otherwise and took us to all sorts of interesting places we would not of found otherwise.

Got here quite late (9:30pm) and just as I was approaching CZ batteries went, minor panic as I didn't want to run back to the car, fortunatly I had some spares so back on track quickly.. down then up.. but found shortly.. now I better return to the rest of family.

Bounced along the bumpy track to find we had the whole recreation area to ourselves. The water was rather too chilly for our liking, but this certainly looks like a fun place to swim! Very easy cache find. SL. TFTC.

Our heads were not really into this one as we were just about to go skydiving (mmm!!!). Anyway drove to nearby area and walked to cache place and what a lovely area it was. The pool looked very tempting but had to keep dry for our little 'trip' up above. Found cache easily. TNLN TFTC
Found it at 16.30 hrs. Nice drive-up by large campervan-no problem in dry conditions-nice spot.

Easy find at a nice picnic spot.Beaut sun today after a cold week in Wanaka L clothes peg/TN tftc.
Missed the turnoff on our way to Lake Hawea so made sure we found it on way back. Took a rough track in and a much easier way out. TNLN

Found no problem on our last day of our holiday from Scotland. Very tempted by the swing into the swim hole as the weather was truely gorgeous, but didn't have the right kit with us. Left Geocoin and calling card and took key ring. TFTC and the spectacular scenery of your Country.
I think we took the roughest track in there and passed a few campers nearby, also a pair of ducks. Easy find as cache was fairly exposed, did a small cover up job.

There wouldn't have been any swimming today! Heavy overnight rain meant the river was running high and fast. Large water-filled hole on the access road too.
Lovely place, but needed to make a phone call to check the meaning of a word.
Quick find on the outskirts of town - may come back to camp here at a later date. Beautiful location. Thanks

A quick find once I got on the right road.Left a fish and took Travel Bug which I will log tomorrow as I have left it in the car back at the cottage
