Had a search around the base of a few trees but there were too many people around for us to spend much time looking. Trees have been pruned recently but not sure if that would be a problem. Over the road there was beautiful apples for sale.
Visited at 5.45pm - GPS took us to the obvious location - but couldn't find it - checked the hint - it matched our search area - checked again. The tree has had some serious pruning done recently and cleanup underneath so thinking it could have been scooped up by the council workers - may need checking. Thanks for bringing us to Lancefield - the home of some of Mrs 80's ancestors.
Catching up logging our DNF's - cannot really remember the cache but we certainly came up empty handed on the day. Thanks anyway Spruce Mooses.

Went out to do some cache maintainance and ended up doing a 450km round trip. Team_coxy and MissBB came along for the ride.
A through search produced the cache.
Container had some water in it and the logbook was damp.

Don't know if it was the trees messing with the gps or we just can't see in the dark
Nice stop in Lancefield to grab this one. Lots of mozzies hanging about here too so I couldn't be too lazy.
A nice easy find, but the container was found half full of water. Log was resonably dry. TFTH...SL...TNLN

Owner might want to consider new container that is water tight.

Found on the way to Castlemaine. Easy find, thanks
Was a bit wet inside the container.

4 of 10 for the trip to Melbourne. Had to be on Muggle alert for this one. Many driving past and it took me a little while in torch light, making me look more suspicious. Got it in the end, but a bit damp. TFTC.

Today was another day in trying to bring some cache logs up to date.
Our apologies to the cache owner but there has been many issues that have slowed us down and hopefully once all our caches are up to date we will log on the go. cache # 4 of 19 today. My thanks to Spruce Mooses for the cache.

Our second cache on a trek from Geelong to Wollongong. OK, I admit it, I was looking in the wrong place, Jinky was looking in the right place. Visited the Red Door Bookshop. What a great place. Left a smilie, TNSL. TFTC!
Found using the clue as iphone signal was patchy at best. Thankfully not many people going past, so didn't look too odd
A cache we have driven close to on many occasions.
This time we decided to stop and grab it.
A nice easy find with help from a local dog who was hanging around.

I was a bit cranky that dad wanted to spot here but we found the cache so that's OK.
Thanks for placing one here.

Got a lift in to Lancefield for Son's footy game.
Introduced Dad of Son's teammate to the world of geocaching, and after game found cache without too much trouble "using the force".
No Vodaphone signal in Lancefield? - so couldn't use the iphone.
No muggles around on a Lazy Sunday morning.
Photo is of the two teammates - Muddy game!!!

Great history, I will have to come back in the day to have a better look round, TFTC TNLN
Wow this one was so much harder than i expected, and yet once we found it, it was like derr of course it is there. We were just about to give up the hunt when finally it was spotted, it didnt help that the GPS was going crazy with the trees so we werent 100% sure that we were at the right one.
Lovely spot to stop at on the way through. Cache was still a bit wet but did as much drying as I could.
TNLN.
Cheers Spruce Mooses, Beautiful Town.

Found after a little rummaging around. The cache was quite damp inside so it might need some maintenance soon.
Spent a lovely weekend in Lancefield, drinking wine and bike riding. Topped off by finding this cache. Thanks
We found this cache at 4:25pm as the 17th of 28 on our Australia Day Bash 2010. Our first Lancefield cache. First tried obvious spot 1, then obvious spot 2, before spotting obvious spot 3 hidden within obvious spot 2. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.
Got into Lancefield and thought we would have a quick search, but could not get accuracy right so checked various places in the area, but only found empty beer and cooldrink bottles. Maybe next time.
A very pretty little town complete with fantasticly wide streets [^]
Cheers, TFTC.

Found it today after a xmas trip to see Mrs Iamapom's granny in Seymour.
Nice easy find - had some awful tech problems as caches in this area didn't copy to the Garmin properly, and my iPhone had no coverage on Voda.
TomTom in the car got us close, and then I had to login to geocaching.com using the browswer on Mrs Iamapom's Telstra iPhone - and then plugging the Lat/Long into the Garmin manually ! Phew!
Dropped in a TB Mini-bible that I brought from the San Francisco TB hotel a couple of weeks ago.

On the way to a friend's wedding in a nearby winery - the gps said that I has a few minutes spare so why not stop off for a lazy cache. A beautiful town that I would have love to stay and enjoy a little longer. Took me a little while to settle on a location for the cache but I found it using the clue and the logical location.
Now off to what proved to be a great wedding.
Thanks Spruce Mooses there is always a good cache on route and this is one of them.

Today was very lazy in Lancefield with no-one around (or up / down the street as we drove in) to bother us as we arrived, searched and found the cache.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Spruce Mooses. A bold hide, but one that is unlikley to get muggled the way it is hidden (i.e. very well).

I found this cache with caughtatwork and mummy today. Daddy found this one while mummy and I were looking at the other bush. Thank you.
We now have a personal TB to track the km's travelled while caching so just dipping it in to catch up on the km's

After spending a lovely few hours at Hanging Rock we took the scenic way home and this was the 1st stopover.
Well this one took us a while!! We were almost thinking it would be a DNF coz the GPS was going round in circles - was quite funny really!!
Future searchers please note - at one possible place we were finding things like Nail Polish Remover and Saucebottles and unfortunately broken beer bottles etc so please be careful especially with the juniors!
Fortunately there werent many people around as we were there a while!! We were pretty determined! lol Finally GMelb located the correct place - yey
Took 2009 Victoria Bushfire Appeal Geocoin
Left 2 x roller stampers and 2 x glow bracelets
TFTC Spruce Mooses! It's a lovely sleepy hollow - well it was today anyway!!

The weather was pretty ordinary and the foliage kept dripping on me, but I still managed to find this cache whilst avoiding the onslaught of mugglemobiles. Who'd have thought such a quiet country town would have so much traffic, even on a wet and windy Sunday morning??

Found at 5:35pm after searching around several trees, calling Eudes for help - only to find he had DNF'ed and moved on, and then prodding around some more. Eventually got it and was able to tell Eudes it was in fact still here as he was making another find nearby.

Found this one at 17:40 on my second attempt today, following a confirmation call from Alsume that it was still alive and well and a pretty specific "hint" as to its location . Another one for my "but I'm sure I looked there" file . And, was that a suspicious looking Veedub doing a u-ey as I was approaching GZ for the second time today ?
TNLNSL, although our night cache geocoin qualified for a visit. Thanks Spruce Mooses.

Well, I don't know whether every day is lazy in Lancefield, but there didn't seem to be all that much activity around here today and I was able to head in to GZ and poke around until I located the cache without having to worry too much about muggles. Having read the logs, I feared it may take a while, but I was only there for a couple of minutes before I had it in my (by now, rather dirty) hand .
TNLN
Thanks again Spruce Mooses - another little town I can't recall having ever visited before.

Found this morning after a few go's at it but does't matter cause i'm in the area quite often
Found with team marengo at 9:20pm happy to find in the dark tnln thanks for the hide
I always find it hard to locate caches placed under leaf litter, and this was no exception. I even rang a previous finder for help, and his location was a couple of metres away from where I eventually found this. Perhaps a bit of cache creep?
Thanks FTC anyway Spruce Mooses, it certainly is an impressive main street with this huge reserve down the middle. TNLNSL

I love those lazy, lazy, lazy days of summer
But when I hopped out of the geomobile at GZ I saw where I had to search [:o]
At least there were no muggles to disturb my search today
I selected a poking stick from a few scattered nearby
It must have been a lucky poking stick as I found the cache in only a couple of minutes
TFTC I took the ALASKA USA geocoin.

We were in the area on an 'Australia Day Cricket Match' between St Mary's Church of Sunbury and the Baptist church of Lancefield, so we called in to this cache after the match. Nice hide, GPSr had me on the other side of the reserve.

Was going through Lancefield and decided to have a look for this one, easy quick find I though. Not so, I spent a fair while getting all scratched and nearly poking my eyes out. The leaf litter is very thick, a short find turned in to a long look with nothing at the end. Might be worth checking it's still all ok.

Found today while caching in central Victoria. I've been through Lancefield many years ago and remember all the rocks to the north of town but don't remember the great old buildings in the main street. Enjoyed the trip along the main street. In bubbles, out bowler, SL TFTC
Staying with my sister who lives in Lancefield. Out for a coffee at a local cafe and grabbed this cache.
Didn't find this time, as the GZ wasn't so muggle free. Was standing in front of the gallery when the owner came up and asked if I wanted to see the house or the gallery. Decided to see both, and was nearly sold the place, with comments like "we use this room for..., but you may like to do ....". Some great art works inside, but unfortunately as I wasn't left alone, I beat a hasty retreat, and will try again when next in town. Great artworks inside though!!
with our new map software on the blink we used the force

it was my first time i have found a geocach it was very fun it took me 3 trys to find it.
Was impressed with the old buildings in this little town. Things were pretty quiet here, it was a cold Sunday. Found the cache without difficulty, took a screwdriver and two geocoins. Left a carabina, and eraser, and a lizard with a tongue that shoots in and out. Thanks for bringing us here.
It helps when you look at the base of the correct tree!

We pulled up here on this very hot Monday afternoon, everyone must have been sitting inside with their air conditioners on as the whole place was deserted but this did mean nice easy searching for us. The cache was found in the first place we looked but unfortunately it was about the 4th time we had checked the area.
We left Tb's and headed off for a tour of the rest of this nice little town

[206] 8.20 am - Found on our way to Sunbury with cdmark and Team Rubik - I have always like Lancefield so it was nice to stop here again - OUT: car IN: spider - TFTC Spruce Mooses - cheers.
This was the first stop on my trip to Sunbury for the day. Having read the cache notes again just now I think a few towns in the area claim to be the geographical centre of Victoria, even as far away as Bendigo!! Doesn't someone in Canberra own a computer to work this out?
Anyhow, as a fan of old buildings and architecture it was great to take a tour of the town on the way through and again on the way back, can Shepparton borrow some?
Thanks,
R - B

Found by Pickupfamily Dad at 1020hrs. We always used love to come this way to visit my parents when they were in Echuca and it always seemed to be foggy in Lancefield. However I had never realised that this main street existed, so thanks for bringing me here Spruce Mooses. Very pretty. Found the cache easily in the first place I looked. TNLN. TFTC.

Parked nearby and found there was noone about except for us and 1 old man who seemed to walk past us every 5 minutes. The GPS couldn't make up its mind about which direction we were supposed to be going in so we ended up searching both possibles. Luckily we had soon found it and signed the log whilst the old man was otherwise occupied. Thanks!
Number 07 for the day on our 'C's Get Out & Get Caching Birthday Weekend'. Another great little town that has retained some of it's heritage and old buildings. D went off to find this one whilst I waited with GeoJnr in the car. D said it was well hidden and fortunately no-one else around this afternoon - the weather was getting cooler so that may have put them off. Cache remains in good nick. TFTC Spruce Mooses.
