Despite an extensive hunt, and a possible hiding spot, we couldn't find it. We really enjoyed our day here at this wondeful beach though. Hopefully will get back one day.

Set off from Paihia in thick fog this morning. It had pretty much burnt off by the time we were heading for Taupo Bay. As we reached the top of the hill and got our first glimpse of the bay, we saw a most amazing sight. The tops of the hills to the right of the bay were still smothered in fog, and "waterfalls" of fog were spilling down the valleys to the sea, which was bathed in sunshine. Took a photo on our return journey, by which time the effect had lessened somewhat - posted below.
We have never visited this lovely beach before, and had no trouble accessing the cache despite it being only an hour before high tide. Thanks for bringing us here.
Dropped Geocoin.

Lovely bay with some muggles doing the usual beach activities. Not interested in our odd behaviour and erratic tree climbing. Nice dry hiding spot seems safe from potential tsunamis! Placed NZ 4 corners TB.(.needs a ride as far north as can go) and took the tropical lei TB

What a gorgeous spot! We were fortunate enough to come visiting with some friends for the long weekend and just had to introduce them to geocaching at the same time! With all 5 junior cachers on hand sent off in different directions around the 'clue' the cache was quickly discovered much to the delight of the JC's. In: Lei TB

Searching with Grobyc & was convinced that the tide had taken this one. It always pays to look again as it is easy to miss some things...especially on a wonderful sunny day & the glare on the glasses! TFTC

A highly enjoyable find at dusk in a gorgeous location, and the first time out caching with an assistant, the Labradora Lickypuppia - who then had an absolute blast up a deserted beach.
