Apologies for the late log - semi retirement is busy!! lol We're staying in Point Lonsdale for a few days and today is our Anniversary Smile With the weather predicted to be showery we thought we better set off reasonably early as it was currently fine and this was next on the agenda. We looked around for a little while then GMelb spotted the telltale signs. TFTC AusFox; - GJMMelb

In town for a non-geocaching event, I took the opportunity to make a weekend of it, and find some caches in the area. Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 joined in with the fun. Despite the rather high winds, we got the e-scooters out to attempt a few caches along the rail trail. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, AusFox; ~~

Seems to have gone missing needs owner maintenance especially after last few logs

02-Jul-24
Found this one open and spread around. We have put it back together and hidden it where we think it should have been, feel free to message me if you need more details. Hopefully its safe after this. It wasnt wet though, so I have concerns that maybe someone is opening it and pulling it out regularly because the last log said it was out in the open too, and its rained a lot since then. Out with FairyDust01 Thanks

Find number 12947 at 11:52:50am on Friday the 23 February 2024Well, I'm on my way, here we come Adelaide. I have seven days to get there and I'm travelling via the wiggly geocaching road so I hope I've allowed enouth time SmileToday I'm travelling down to Aireys Inlet via Little River, Geelong, Queenscliff, Moriac and Jan Juc. Found all my targets bar one so, not a bad start to the trip.Trying to fill a gap in a challenge "Eighty LGA's with twenty finds" (yep, you can blame Adriaan) so here I am in Queenscliff Wink. All were in good condition and found quickly, nice view here. I'll have to bring the misses back if she every retires.**Thanks for placing this cache AusFox;**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. A list of the geocaches can be found [here](https://coord.info/BM9GWJ5). While over this way visiting friends in Freshwater Creek had to get some caching done as well. This afternoon it was the G2Q (Geelong to Queenscliff) Rail Trail, had brought the Ebike along to assist. Drove over to the Queenscliff end, unloaded the bike and started looking and riding towards Geelong. Didn't get as far as hoped before it was time to return to the car to get back in time for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of hides, some of which took longer than expected to find, and am looking forward to getting back sometime to complete the series. Thanks to AusFox; for adding this cache to this excellent series.Cache #14586 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Down in Queenscliff for a weekend break with my family... and after lunch it was time to start heading home... except for me! I had 8 more caches to find in Queenscliff so I could cross off the Borough for the **WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge**. With plenty of caches along the G2Q Rail Trail to choose from, I was back for more... with this one being my fourth Smile this afternoon. Mind you, it would have been handy if my grand daughter was still with me so I could have sent her crawling in after it!

Thanks **AusFox! (VKC1SR)** for the cache and the series.

Back in the Queenscliff LGA because we didn't get enough geocaches in the area because the music festival stopped our plans. As such this time, we came early starting at 7.30 am.

Nice viewing platform here. I didn't see the branch while reaching for the geocache and first blood of the day received.

Thanks for the cache Aus Fox;

Down in Queenscliffe with catnap777 for a number of reasons (all of them geocache related), we soon found ourselves hunting down this little trad that has proven itself so very popular over the years. Cool
Targeted for it's significant number of finds, catnap777 and I became finders #527 and #528. A very handy one for the challenge cacher. Razz

Found cache and log signed with dalerious Razz.

We were off to Point Lonsdale via here and there this weekend with a cache list strategically hand picked to get some green ticks on Challenge Caches we are working on.
As usual, it is me that has more to sign as I am still catching up to my partner Razz.

This one was picked for it's 500+ found logs Big Grin.
Thank you AusFox! (VKC1SR) for maintaining this cache.

In the area this morning for work so I had to collect a few smiley faces whilst I'm nearby.

I had to wait for a muggle to stop reading the nearby sign but luckily it wasn't too long!! Cache in good condition and ready for next visitor Thanks for the hide Smile

Caching out Queenscliff with day1976. I had never been to this side of the bay before so it was a lovely change. Very nice area.
I went and grabbed it since day1976 is old and couldn't squeeze between the tree and post. He acted as lookout (badly)

28-Aug-22
Enjoyed a day out with ilukaperi finding geocaches in Queenscliffe today. I had only ever found a handful of geocaches in Queenscliffe before, so that's why the location was chosen. Plus it was a good day as it had been 16 weeks since my last geocache find. So it was nice to be out again.

Given a good hint, this one was easy. Well, easy for me because I made ilukaperi go and retrieve it. She handed it to me for the signing duties before handing it back for her to replace.

My last day on the road and I think the universe was ready for me to head home as the car started playing up and I found out my pocket queries didn't download correctly. Had to resort to using the phone which sucked and meant I only got 7 caches today.

Thanks heaps to the cache owners for hiding these caches along this trail!!

I stared my journey early in the morning from Queenscliff in hoping to get as far down the trail on my bike as I could before the rain started to set in. Ended up making it almost to Drysdale until I got my first few drops of rain, so I decided it was time to start heading back. Made it to the car just in time before the clouds opened up and the whole place was soaked within minutes!!. Phew! Lucky I gave up on some of those annoying micros, they do my head in!

Sorry about the generic copy and paste logs, but all caches were in good working order unless otherwise stated. Thanks again cache owners for the adventure!

Find #4863. Found @ 12:27 with The Good Lady Wife

The family is on a mid-school holiday break since we can get away for this one, and chose the Queenscliff area to chill out (based on the current weather, that is literally as well as figuratively). Every break has to involve some caching so TGLW and I found a few caches while getting some exercise along the rail trail.

I had to quickly get this cache as more muggles were approaching the area, and my retrieval technique was unsubtle.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache AusFox;

A quick find

For several months now we have been doing regular caching runs with Rebel Acts, but commitments put a stop to that for a while. We have come down to stay in Geelong for a week or two, and invited Rebel to come for a few nights so we could complete some of the numerous caches around here. As usual we have signed our Joint find logs RASH (Rebel Acts SKI Pair).
The weather started out miserable today so we decided to stick with as many caches as possible that we could get from the car. A few short trails helped with with the numbers, and we were very pleased to see a number of small and regular caches instead of the micro and nanos we often find doing trails. Well done to the Bellarine CO's, its great to find the bigger
containers.

I am trying to find my caching groove again after the horror of 2020. On a weekend retreat here in Queenscliff, we did a kayak session close by, then I headed off to find this one. Coming up from the yacht club was a bad idea, should've gone around. After some bush bashing I spotted the location of the cache and moved into a better location to retrieve and sign the log. All good. TFTC.

An early morning ride along the foreshore path to pick up a few caches, quite a few bike riding groups to dodge, lucky for geokids makes its look like we need to stop often.

A quick find and a snack for the geokids in a nice rest spot.
