Found 2day - our 1st cache for the weekend
Unfortunately someone who isn't a cacher obviously found it last
Box was lying on surface lid about a metre away & no contents in site.
As was just returning from shops didn't have anything to refurbish with..
Rehid container
No log to sign unfortunately..
Otherwise a good location for a hide..

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings re this cache..
Only the empty box remained lying on the surface when we located this cache...
Needs a refit
Have put lid & case back together & rehidden where I think it came from but the cupboard is bare

Found the empty cache that Kaisho53 had replaced. We picked up the paperwork that was thrown around the place and put it in the bin, as it was virtually destroyed.
Seeing the cache has been muggled and the bats have migrated from the area, I will put this one to rest.
I will pick up the empty cache next time I am in the area.
Thanks for all the finders. I hope you have enjoyed the experience.
I have an idea for another cache nearby.

Should have called this one tranquillity. Lovely spot, not a ripple on the bay. Thanks for the excuse to get out and enjoy it.
Entered into the book of LEDGIN'S. Up this way visiting a friend with Silky Seekers. Found after a bit of a search. GPSr had us a few meters out. TNLN. Thanks Crew. You have got caches in a few areas.
Visiting the area with Ledgins and having history lessons at the same time. Great research done on all the caches we,ve found so far.Nice hide. Thanks Crew 153.. Sl Silky Seekers.
We had the place to ourselves today. The rain must have kept the muggles (and the mozzies) away.
The cache was spotted soon after we arrived at GZ. Lovely spot - shame we had to run back to the GeoMobile to get out of the rain.
No swaps - Thanks for the cache.

Found on our Christmas Holiday visit to Hervey bay.
After poking about in the scrub and getting bombarded by mozzies we were about to give up as my 4 yo daughter didnt like being there as it was "to spooky" when i spotted it on the way out.
TN left Ozzy Travel Bug SL TFTC.

we were right on the co-ords
we could see the site which I think would be a kids hide out
(ie beer cans and cig packets)
but no cache, i did see a tupperware container bottom half
so perhaps the cache was muggled
took some photos for the record though
see the photos
fattyacid and family

Digging though trees, one tends to pick up passengers of the 8 legged variaty. Lucky missus wasn't with me.

We stopped on the nearby road and ducked in to find this one. Fortunately the apparently long term resident was not present when we were there. Cache found after a short search. The littlest freak left a toy snake and took a toy lizard. TFTC.
Nice walk on the beach, watching kite flying as a cover for finding this one. Found by Mrs Agogo Took red racing car, Left lizard
Found @ approx. 13:20
An easy find, with the "Free Camping Gear" still clearly visible.
TNLNSL.
Thanks for the hunt.

This was a fairly easy find and the 'free camping gear' is still nearby. I noticed in the log book that a muggle found the cache, signed the log and left a phone number. Lucky they left the cache too hey! Thanks for the cache Crew. TN left token.
Found it! looks like someone liked the cache location so much they made it their home...
Found on a day trip with the Grandparents. Nice walk along the beach for a quick find. looked as though someone had taken up residence close to GZ. Dropped in GC for a short stay. TFTC
While this does not appear to be a flying fox camp anymore, the rolled up swag a few metres from GZ could indicate it may now be the roost of a homeless person. TFTC.
Our class had been out for a few hours, and had unsuccessfully looked for two other caches before we found yours. Thank you!
Found as part of our great whale of a time weekend away. We are heading to Hervey Bay for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Like the location - beautiful view - TNLN
WanderingAus wandered by on day eighty-four of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia and made an easy find.
My find No 732, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Found quickly while staying nearby. Just after find, we came out on to the beach to see a rainbow over the sea - rushed back for our camera but too late. TNLN
I had tried to find this cache once before sometime last year, but thought this location was too disgusting to stay long. It was dark, the bats had left, but there were droppings everywhere on the ground and on the branches. So I gave up.
This time, geomum told me that the bats had relocated to the botanic garden. So off we went, and indeed there are no more bats (and no more smell). Geomum eventually found the cache, and as usual my GPSr agreed with the location AFTER we had found the cache...
Glad to have this one ticked off the list.

Found on my first day in QLD. Thanks to the previous log, I used the poo dump as a quick reference (which is slowly decomposing). Quick find. TNLN TFTC!
Found @ 13:00
Somebody has left a poo dump almost on top of the cache, and there's big streamers of paper all over the ground. Sorry but CITO is not an option this time.

I was searching for this one in the rain. As I approached GZ I was expecting a different sort of shower though [:o]
So I hastily retreated to the beach and tried a new approach
With the stick spotted, the cache was soon in hand
A fun cache with an interesting aroma and a feeling of impending doom
TFTC in an very interesting spot.

Thanks to WaterRat(ozi) I'm getting the hang of this. This one showed me that sticks can also be branches or the like !(That's not meant to be a spoiler though)
Fifth find of my trip down to Hervey Bay, Bribie, and the Gold Coast. Found at 1630 hrs.
This one gave me a bit of grief. The incessant rain had settled in, and with no raingear, I was getting wetter by the minute. Reception very poor, and with a multitude of sticks around, finding the correct spot was near impossible. Returning to the car for more clues, I again returned to the scene of the crime, and this time, quickly located the cache. Well camoed, as I had looked within a couple of feet of it before, and missed it.
Cheers

Hi Max. You know, the only thing I hate more than creeping around kids’ playgrounds looking for caches is creeping around sand dunes looking for caches. Happily, I found this one with only a little trouble. The GPSr was a bit reluctant to settle, so I looked for the stick and voila – a cache was found. TN/LN/SL.
Big stick still in place. We said hello to all the flying foxes - though we think that some of the bats must have more moola than the others. Some are definitely in the penthouse ocean view trees whilst others are in the more budget trees across the road!!! Walking underneath they all took flight above our heads!!! Was great to see. TNLN today - thanks for showing us the colony it was great to see.
Ducked across the road from the other Batty cache. GPS had it located in the water, had a search around and stopped to watch the bats. Will be back again another day and will also check out the stone monuments further up.
Found with bacabro while visiting Hervey Bay. TNLNSL Thanks Crew 153 for the CACHE.
Noisy with Bats!! Found easily.
Took - Rabbit-mirror-keyrink.
Left - White balloon in case you want to party.
Fair bit of rubbish around.

Very Nice. Loved it. There was lots of bats. I see where you get gone batty from. Great Find. TFTC mick and kaz.
Found and picked up travel bug for an adventure--he's going to see a pirate
Here on holiday from the UK enjoying the stunning views and beautiful beaches and warm seas. Found the cache no problem, although the bats did not seem to happy with us being there and showed their disapproval by launching themselves into the air with the deafening noise. Took TB - 'Life's a beach' to start its travels to new perhaps colder beaches and left TB - 'Go Forth' to hopefully begin its journey home. TFTC and the paddle in the creek.
Early morning walk along the beach - not too hot.
TNLN Thanks Jacqueline and Peter #1544

Gone Batty all right. After taking the geohounds for a walk I decided to have a go at this cache. The geohound I was looking after kept pulling this way and that so I decided to hook the lead onto a branch of a tree and look on my own. Could not find the cache anywhere. Went back to the geohounds and there it was, the cache, right beside the geohounds. What a dog.

I found this one just as I was about to give up. Good camorflorge! Took eggcup, left a periscope (I think).
had to have a look at this one - after deciding to clean up the remaining Hervey Bay caches
no problems ... just stuff falling from the mammals hanging upside down in the trees above
grabbed bug to relocate further north
