Climbed up to the rock caves and searched a number of spots without success. I didn't have the time to go any higher so this one is a DNF for me today. Thanks anyway Oldbluedog.
I knew I had limited time to attempt this, but I was really hoping to find a well worn track made by other enthusiastic cachers, and was wearing my best Reeboks! I found no such track and bush bashed my way to the rocky bits. I was so excited when I was within 8m of GZ, but sadly I soon realised it had to be above me, well over my head. I'm not great with heights, or rock climbing, scrambling over rocks is one thing, but actually climbing up steep rock faces is not my thing, and I could not find an easy way to get up higher and didn't have time to skirt around at a lower level either. So sadly, this is not a smilie for me, but I still loved being there and viewing the caves and caverns, and perfect cache hidey holes everywhere! So Thanks for the challenge - I will be back!
Not this time but next time will try other altitudes. Sandals definitely not called for.

Drove around the back of the hill and made the climb from therr. Found the cache quickly and then discovered the pen in my pocket had exploded on the way up. The pen in the cache didn't work either. Managed to put some ink on the page with some thought not pretty . It wasn't until I was half way back to the car that I remembered that I had spare pens in my pack I was carrying doh . Any way thanks for the excursion an the exersise well worth the climb .TFTC

Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Cache found in the last place we looked, which was actually the first place we looked. I left my swaps in the Pahero and I did not have anything of equal value in my pockets. Great stroll. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work.

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo. A great change to really work up a sweat. So we did....a quick find when we made it to the correct level.
A day of caching from Moree down to Dubbo. A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs with a cache is a good thing.
Thanks to Oldbluedog and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Sad that I didn't get to find the cache. Has a good look around and climbed to the top with no luck. See you next time cache......
We had a great walk around these interesting rock formations. Unfortunatly, the walk didn't include finding the cache. It wasn't for lack of trying, but lack of time to really search... we needed to get back on the road... Maybe we'll look again on the way back home.
Found with Wombat_1 on our way back from the caves & as Wombats dig low & Gnome climbs I came up with the goods.
& again beeten by pprass where do you need to go to out cache this one

Found at 5:21 PM GAFF1. Well after the previous 3.5 terrain rating cache that was just a 1.5, we thought that this one may also be incorrectly rated, but after walking 15 metres into the bush we realised what was in store! We had pulled over on the side of the road with our van, so this had to be a quick find and a quick find it turned out to be thankfully. All of the tracks that we took led us directly to the cache without any difficulty - we just got lucky. The cache was found in the exact spot that the co-ords said it would be so we are not sure that 3.5 for difficulty is accurate - more like 2.0!
Thanks Oldbluedog

Oh so it's on that side! Ah well nothing like a small rock climb mid cache!! Thanks for an awesome cache and an amazing view - mr bloopy even liked the doppler thingy going on in the distance. Cheers!
In Coona for the weekend and grabbed this one less than a kilometre from the driveway of our sons' property. Impressive rock formation and evidence of a recent collapse of part of the cliff - earthquake? Fracking? Had to think a bit outside the square and soon established GZ. Then it was a quick find as I spotted the hide on approach. Thanks for fun Oldbluedog
This one took some tracking down. We walked through the light bush to the base of the magnificently coloured rock face and started searching. The only problem is that our GPS units kept telling us that GZ was in a different position to where we were standing - certainly unreliable in that area with multiple reflection of signals off the rock faces. We then went and read a number of logs and that gave us a different approach. We went to an area where far better GPS signals could be obtained and after a few minutes, the cache was in hand. Another excellent cache and container in a great location. TFTC Oldbluedog.
I took the challenge on my own, superpops stayed at the campervan with the geo pooches. not an easy task for an old nanna .fantastic area, took plenty of photos. searched about a thousand likely places, didnt locate. do I get points just for trying ??? tftc
The sadistic nature certainly did come out, didn't it? I would definitely agree on the Terrain 3star plus rating!
Looked easy - must be up under the overhang there! NO! Finally found the thing, and safely negotiated the way back to the car. liberated a reflector, left a car. TFTC.

Didn't have the benefit of reading the previous log so searched in vain before a rare flash of logic led us to GZ ... a great cache deserving of it's rating and a favourite from us.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
On our way back up home today, we stopped in here for the cache. We parked in the dirt road off the main road, and made our way closer to GZ
We had a search around the base of the cliff, but couldn't spot anything... We decided to search higher, and after a not too bad walk up, we soon had the cache in hand Some great early morning views from up here, and certainly a great/favourite cache

Another day of caching as we travel around Oz. Thanks for the hide. ps... bonus points apply!
TFTC nice quick find on our way home. It was great to see the interesting weathering on the cliff face before the views over the Piliga Scrub TN left led light & caribiner
Our last find before returning to our caravan park at Coonabarabran...Mr Bushies2 went up by himself...took him a while before he found it...the rock formation remind us back home in East kimberley but we aren't homesick yet Thanks Team Bluedog.
#1418 Found on our way north at 8.45am still trying to get to a party tonight in Toowoomba. What a beauty of a cache to start the day off with . We were gobsmacked about what is hidden in the scrub and enjoyed a climb to GZ from the RHS. The bloke who did it in the dark with a broken foot needs a medal! TNLNSL Thanks for a great GZ Team Bluedog - a favourite for us. Cheers [^]
Not sure if there's an easier way to GZ but we found a hard way! Great location for a cache.

Does one get an extra big smile face for doing this in the dead of night with a broken foot (think I need to have my head examined) Then my cold girly-blouse fingers had trouble getting the cache open Fantastic rock. Would love to see it in the daylight. TFTH
Pilliga Cache 3 of 3 on a road trip from Narrabri to Orange. I don't think that geo-mum would like the geo-kids doing this one though. The previous logs certainly helped but I came in from below then up and over. Thanks Team Bluedog.
Came in from the back of the hill still a nice climb but an easier approach, mark a way point for the car if you do this though. I got there and then thought to myself where did I park.
On our first outing to find this cache we looked at below ground zero but this time tried the upper level and scored! Nice views of the Pilliga from there and lots of scrub to get through to the cache.
Took shells and left plastic toy goat.
Thanks Team Bluedog.

3pm Signed log - Yes Good thing Mrs.k Reads the logs B4 departing the Geomobile, it was an easy walk when we approached in the right direction first, on this cloudy day. Clothing was a lot dustier after brushing so many bushs, We enjoyed it though , thanks for bringing us to this spot- Team Bluedog
I have to admit... it was dark, the only torch we had was s**t and I was getting quite tired. The heroics for this one went to Hoojar who made the scramble while I kept the car from blowing away while sitting in it. I did venture up in the end.
Cheers

Sometimes you can just luck out!
Followed the arrow, located the pass in the dark, scrambled, followed the arrow to the cache, did it all in reverse!
Too easy!

A pleasant scramble for a great view. The easiest approach is from around the back on the side furtherest from the road.

Lovely lots of colour rocks wall and saw lots of rock wallaby there unfortlately only 10 m more but need climb up the rocks so I gave up never mind.Thanks.
Parked the UAV opposite then proceeded to find a way up the embankment. Slipped much to the amusement of 2 passing cars - beep, beep. Decided not to go further as the rocks would be slippery as raining & the vehicle exposed (travel alone). Looked to be an interesting location though. Thanks.
Central Australia Trip. 3. After finding a safe place to leave the car I headed off to this one. I think I came from the wrong side, but soon found a way up. After that it was all views and signing. Thanks.

66 - Found Mon 29/12/08 at 4:54pm. My, my, I wish I had paid more attention to the level of difficulty and terrain on this one - thongs are definitely not the suggested mode of footwear for this cache. Awesome view from Ground Zero. Saw an emu on the track down near the car park. TFTC Team Bluedog.
Yes there is one at every cache sight.baby got geographically embarrassed at this one hmm.Just dropping in these trackables for some distance. Tnx Team bluedog.
Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1500.Needed to get a bit of exercise to get the body going again after a few hours behind the wheel of the time machine and decided this would be the way to get going agan. After a bit of a walk the hide was found. He He.I just hate being geographically embarassed and thats how this one finished up Great sights to be seen on a warm overcast day. Tnx Team bluedog.
Lovely bit of natural bushland with some great views. I searched down low whilst weroamin searched up high. Cache was in weroamin's hand in no time. Loved the sandstone caves and noted that the roos/wallabies did too, plenty of roo poo inside. Signed log. TFTC.
Another one rated a little harder than it really is. Parked the caravan about 150 metres from GZ and I took the high road while gerrynewgirl took the low road. The cache was pretty obvious and soon in hand with good co-ordinates. TFTC TN left token.
Great spot for a cache. The clamber up was well worth it. I have a few more of your caches earmarked for the trip north, and some on the return journey in a week or so. Thanks Team Bluedog.
Considered avoiding this one as it looked like it might take a little while. Turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. Watch kids at GZ though if you have any and happen to take them here.
TFTC and climb.

Twenty ninth cache find for the day and forty-four on our trip north to Brisbane, the cache was found at 1640 in the company of chewinprickles. This cache was well worth the effort as the views from the top were great. Thanks Team Bluedog for the cache.
Definitely the highlight of my caching exploits on this trip south. This is what caching is about - being taken to an interesting place that you wouldn't otherwise visit. A great spot to just stop, enjoy the views and relax for a while. Unfortunately I was heading north towards home so didn't take as long as I should.
The find was made fairly quickly - in the second place I searched. Many thanks for bringing me here. TNLN.

We werent sure if we were going to attempt this one or not due to the terrain rating. After a minute of consideration the boys decided to give it a try. After a short and enjoyable climb the cache was in hand. We took a short rest and a drink we enjoyed the surrounds and the lovely bush before returning to the car and off to Coonabarabran for the night.
Thanks for the cache. =]

This is a great spot for a cache and I enjoyed the walk and (brief) search. Followed by a sit. Thanks Team Bluedog for improving the trip.
Nice walk in the scrub, TN,L cartoncutter. Thanks for bringing us here....................
EXCELLENT LOCATION, nice panoramic views too.
An easy climb, an easy find, just so nice to sit and relax, sign log, and watch a dozen or so Harley's putter along the highway. Thanks for the exercise and location.
