Finally I have sorted out the additional waypoints because every time I made a correction they were either changed or disappeared.
There is only one change because of a fallen branch so one new WPT but everything else is the same.
All good to go now.

This cache was archived by mistake and the ageing Bushfire cannot change it so it is back to the reviewers to make it disabled as a WPT requires replacing.
Have been out here numerous times and have never quite been able to get to the end but earlier this week l was determined to finally turn this one into a smiley.
Leading up to this log over the last few days l was revisiting old caches l did years ago and seeing all new names in the logs. The one name that is most caches in the region is bushfire, putting out quality caches for years and still doing, keeping them going and giving new cachers the joy that so many did before them and still to come. If you have ever cached in Geelong you know the name and you will have done his caches. Pretty proud to be able to say he is one of the names on my PAF list when lve needed help.
I messaged bushfire early on to put forward what l though was the correct plans which was promptly replied to with some much needed help. While one site l was stuck at some of the locations and PAF bushfire who helped me out and said that he would even stop by tomorrow to make sure it was all good.
With a little bit of extra help from bushfire today l was finally able to make the find. It was a sigh of relief with being able to finally be able to turn this cache into a smiley.
Bushfire, thank you for the caches and thanks for always being able to help out

After a heads up that some TLC may be required and on checking today that was the case but GZ is all nice and dry and could be found but how to find is the problem so in the next few days I will sort out the problem.
It's a very nice spot here. Although I've walked the wooden platforms plenty of times in the past, I never realised those other little trails existed. Unfortunately today I was stumped by WP2. Fairly sure I was in the right spot given my checksum was all good, although my GPS was darting here, there and everywhere. Just couldn't locate the small object in the end. I'll have to try again one day...
This one took a bit of time and cannot be considered a quick cache. For the final hubby did the honors. The cache is in good condition. SL TFTC
Finally dropped past here today to finish what I started a looooong time ago. Having acquired an injury this morning, I was medically advised to walk as much as I can today to free up some seized muscles. Whats that? The doc says I should go caching? Righto, cant argue with the doc.
Eventually spotted the prize and gingerly retrieved it due to my injury. A rather nice little spot to walk it all off. Thanks for the cache Bushfire, find 1097 for BFMC

Thirty finds today, I was able to pick up these caches after lunch. The weather was much cooler than the last few days which made for a nice day out in G-Town. The sun was now out and the breeze had picked up. A cool multi cache with a great GZ - favourite point added. Thanks for the cache Bushfire.

After the Event close by today I decided to check all WPT's and am pleased to report all are where they should be but I am sure that many of the last finders have friends that know where GZ is located so maybe it is time to shift GZ!!!
WPT2 is where it was placed but a torch is helpful and WPT3 was completely covered by a cover of grass but it is still there and the details are still like I left them years ago. I have a few things that require doing and then I think I will change the GZ to a new location, so be aware this will happen.

Found after the "Come & Visit Parkville in November, 2018 - Geelong" event this morning.
With Ninny_Muggins, Sims_family, Ausfox; & Neville_devil. The CO showed up at GZ too.
We then looked around in the long grass for more history but didn't find what we were looking for.
Thanks for placing this cache and highlighting some local geocaching history Bushfire.

Headed out this morning before the event with Captn Roverman to complete this cache. We got unstuck at the last set of clues. Headed to the event and ended up going back there after the event with ausfox, Neville devil, sims family, no worries and ran into the co along the way... great cache, good to see a multi with something a little extra. Thank you for this cache
I’m so impressed with where this cache takes you. Such a beautiful area. Thank you for bringing me here, so I could enjoy it as well as find a cache! TFTC Bushfire
Another cache I had begun on an earlier trip. I am so pleased to be able to turn the multis into smileys. I am not sure how I missed the 'tour' at last year's event. Back to this pretty area and a quick find this afternoon, thanks Bushfire.
Found in the company of a previous finds always makes muftis easier and quicker. Tonight was a quick tour of the WP's and a quick find at the end of the tour.
The container was still in position after the recent floods or though did contain a little bit of water. The log book was still dry in its zip lock bag thankfully. Log book signed and returned as found minus a little water
Thank you Bushfire for the cache.
PS this our 1000th find for the year [:0] [:p]

With an event happening very close by, we had to do this cache as well as the Ballyang one close by. A great cache with a beautiful location. Thanks Bushfire.
Catching up on some late, very late and extremely late logs (400 in all)
I would like to thank Bushfire for placing this cache. I always enjoy getting out and about to view this great country of ours and caching allows me to do that. Once at GZ, I sometimes find the cache quickly but sometimes it takes awhile to sus out the well camouflaged hide. Once found, log is signed and the cache is rehidden as found.
Once again thanks Bushfire.

With Mr Crackers busy working tonight at the Geelong Carols Mrs Crackers was caching today with micaparamedic and attending the events.
This multi had been started by us many years ago but we had never made it to the end, today that situation was changed and our name was now added to the log.
Thanks Bushfire for the cache and for showing us this area.

Wow did not realize this was an oldie seems to have missed my radar. It's one of my missions to visit old school caches.
An interesting multi and location. Thanks for bringing me here today.
Last find today on a successful run thru Geelong completing the remaining T5 caches not yet found.
This makes it 6 cache types for today, yay!

We headed to Geelong for the 3rd year to do some of the event day fun.
Fantastic weather and company all day.
We enjoyed this cache. We originally couldn't work out how to get the last question for WP 2.
Thought we would ask at the event only for the cache to be handed to us on the way.
Thanks for the interesting history of such an early hide.

Out and about with my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave today on a bit of a T5 Raid in Geelong. The weather was looking just wonderful and it has been the first weekend I have really been able to get out since the mega. There was also a number of events today, so hoped to attend at least one or two.
While at the nearby "Float By" event, we couldnt resist making this our 5th cache type for the day. Its always good to find a historic cache and this was no exception.

I was attending a Christmas event nearby and Bushfire generously offered to give assistance in finding this cache. I've been tempted by this one for a while so it was a definite 'Yes please!' from me! I do still need to figure out how to project waypoints though. Thanks Bushfire!
[orange]Find #545 Multi #40[/orange]
Finally!
This has kept me going for ages!
I first came here about 10 months ago as a newbie cacher and stupidly looked around a sign for a 5 litre bucket partially buried under the ground for one and a bit hours[B)]. Looked all over the ground before giving in.
Returned about four months later, having found out what a multi was and hit myself on the head for both not reading the cache description and not collecting the required information. Started to get the numbers until the final question that annoyed me, about the sign. After reading the cache page again I realised my silly mistake and soon had a set of numbers. Got stuck on the waypoint projection though so I had to find out how to work that.
After a couple of months, I had set up the FTF notifications and the phone went 'ping'. I met Geordiefamily at dog'onit's railway station cache when it was first published and they taught me how to project a waypoint and do wherigoes (thank goodness for that ).
Read the decription at home and projected the waypoint (finally).
Bush-bashed my way there unfortunately as I could find no other route, looked for about 30 minutes before calling it quits.
Re-checked my coordinates and eventually I noticed something that I had done wrong. Fixed the error and a much more likely area was found.
Still no luck so a PAF to Rampske and the WPT2 was eventually uncovered (that little devil of a waypoint ).
Then moved onto the WPT3 which proved even more tricky. When it was eventually found, the coordinates were a little off (or it might have just been my GPS) but another very cheeky and sneaky hide.
Finally, the GZ. Used WPT3 and headed off to a likely GZ. No luck so I gave in after a while.
The event on the boardwalk then happened and I decided that it was the time to try again. Confirmed my coordinates with Noah and then found the very cool hide....
TFTC Bushfire, glad to finally write my name in that logbook and claim a smiley!

FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!
This cache has had me going for well over a year. Arriving at WPT 1 the calculations were made and i arrived at WPT 2 with the coords figured out from the description. This has got to be one of the most evil hides i have ever seen, yes that's right EVIL! With many hints from the CO, the hide was soon found and then it was off to WPT 3 where a PAF was needed after a few attempts, that was simple but clever and really should have been found earlier. GZ was tricky! I spent 45 minutes wandering around aimlessly with a set of coordinates i believed were true (after initial coords lead me to a place that CO had warned me about) after much crawling around the cache was located and lets just say the walkers along the river would have gotten a fright when they heard someone yell out "YES FINALLY!!!!!!" I signed the log and wrote a little message as I admire some of the past finders who have found this tricky multi. Thanks to Bushfire for including a list of previous finders in the previous in the cache, well worth reading!
I MIGHT ALSO ADD THAT IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE THIS CACHE WAS FOUND!!!!!!
As I returned the cache, i encountered a huge huntsman with what looks like a sack of eggs so for future finders, i would be wearing gloves!
Thanks Bushfire for placing this cache, i really enjoyed learning about the old cache site!

Checked out all WPT's and GZ and all is well after not being found for 10 or 11 months.
We started this multi months ago but got stuck on the second waypoint, so after a little hint whispered in our ears we headed off to tackle this one again today. Still struggled to find the necessary information needed to help find GZ but after 10 minutes or so it finally reared it's ugly head ....didn't we already look there?
With the final piece of info we soon had a set of co-ords put together that had us searching in the very appropriate GZ area. First though we had to wait for the muggle and her babymobile to move on so we could sign the log and replace it safely back in it's hidey hole.
Thanks Bushfire for yet again, a nice adventure right in our own backyard.

After completing one of the 'easier' multis nearby, alchey & I decided to have a crack at this... Well, we did still have 'some' light left. After working out where we needed to go we found WP2 and was now working in the dark as we proceeded to WP3. After another eternity (well, 30mins) we eventually had to PAF and found an empty upside down container (we don't think it was part of what we were after - but not entirely sure). Proceeded to GZ with an idea of where to look and the cache was retrieved from its hidey hole.

In Geelong for the Australia Day long weekend. We decided to do a few caches that weren't just traditionals. It was getting late and after spending all day here, we really needed to start heading back towards Melbourne. I pleaded to say just one more! I got my way but this wan't quick by any means and my company was getting jack with me!. Had no end of trouble and i kept hearing "Give, up!" in the background. I don't like giving up so I continued. One of my travelling companions went back to the car while I contined to look look look. Cut a long story short we made it to GZ but still had trouble! Too much sun I think! Had to check the cache page again and used the spoiler pic - thank goodness cause we needed it! We finally came up with the hide and wondered why we didn't find it sooner All in all another creative multi and that was enjoyed by me Had to head back to Melbourne but we will return! [^] Cheers - 'Bushfire'
Had a spare afternoon today to get out some one the more time consuming multi's along Barwon river that I have been saving for days like today. Read the last note and hesitated however found I didn't have same problem, missing sign is in the description
Started at WP1 and then a quick calculation got me to WP2. Went around in circles for a while until I found a quicker and much better way to get there. Once at GZ I checked likely spots with paranoia (shorts and thongs in long grass, didn't think this one out! plus a Cavoodle to keep an eye on) and read description again to see I was looking for something a bit smaller. After almost giving up the search, I remembered the 'hint' and found it straight away. Interesting waypoint, sure it has some value also.
Another short walk to WP3 where after searching left right and centre i had to resort to PAF. Called the friendly CO Bushfire who was not just happy to assist but to come down as he was on he way out caching. 5 minutes later Bushfire came into sight and we were both walking about looking for WP3 while the dog sooked tied to a nearby gum. WP3 soon in hand and off to GZ. Muggle eyes were on us both, so when looking elsewhere Bushfire held the pup while I retrieved the cache. Next was putting it back while Muggles glancing our way...'oops, dropped the headphone on the ground' sneaky replace. Strolled back to the cars and had a yarn about caching and then went our separate ways to separate finds.
Thanks Bushfire for the hand on this one, and for swinging by to help retrieve as even with hint I would not have found! Dog had a ball down there however spent the drive home and hour tonight plucking out grass seeds from every nook and cranny, the NGfiance put a temp ban on taking him bush from now on! TFTC

Couldn't figure out what the AB 'missing sign' clue referred to[?] So ended up giving this one a miss.
Heading to Barwon Heads and surrounds for a weekend of caching, extra time allowed bogonghazy and I to tackle more Multi's than we often might on a day trip. The weather was superb (for most of the day), the sights and places we visited were all great. The necessary numbers and info were gathered, worked and reworked before we headed to GZ where the cache was in hand pretty soon. Thanks to Bushfire, I love these historic caches, we learn as well as gaining a smiley. Cheers, Lisa
ANother quality cache by Bushfire here, some good info and a bit of a hint from a previous finder led us to this serene place along the river. Sully and I had it to ourselves, and once again she came up with the goods. Really enjoyed the walk and the new ares visited. Thanks again Bushfire
It is always a scary thing to try and find a Bushfire cache so off I went last week to try and solve this one and put it in the bank in order to maintain my current streak. Success at WPT2 when, by coincidence my phone rang and it was the legendary cache owner. Swapped some info with him and I was able to get the required numbers and not rely on my poor eyesight. Then off to WPT3 for quite a search until to GZ coords were found. GZ located after a quick search, location noted but not logged until today when appointments required a quick find. Located the cache again, all in great order, signed the log and off to a meeting. Thanks to Bushfire for another challenging cache and a favourite for me to be searching in such a peaceful and scenic riverside location.
10pm on a moonlit night - visited with several TBs about to be released in Europe later this week.
The Barwon is my homeground and my playground, and I had intended to keep my local Barwon caches to find as key milestones. But now that I've started hiding caches in my favourite area, I needed to understand exactly which caches are already in place - specially the multis where the final GZ is not apparent on geocaching.com unless you've found them.
And thus finding this one became a priority. It took a couple of visits, but I was glad to finally see a historical "site" and find the container at the final GZ, all in good condition.

Can tick this one off only because the CO took pity on me and watched from afar until I looked confused. I will have to come back with some more tools and recheck my numbers at WP 2 so that I can reassure myself that I really have completed this 'hysterical' cache.
I redid my calculations late last night and still ended up too far away. All I can say is that I will carry even more of Bushfire's tools in the future and keep them on me for similar scenarios. I am going to need a much bigger pack!
I enjoyed each waypoint and the very clever hides along the way. Very typical of Bushfire's keen work and creative hides.
A favourite and thanks Bushfire

Same story as Bell Bird.
I was a little confused and was searching the old site before I had found WP2. Can always read a big screen better than my GPS.
so I think I know where I went wqrong. Better luck next time.
THanks Bushfire

This cache was a great bit of geocaching history. Fortunately we were lucky at WP2 and spotted the sneaky numbers before we had to resort to the spoiler image. Our reception came in and out under the trees so the old cache site took a little longer to find. After working out the final co-ords some rowers decided to pull over and stretch their legs... Went for a stroll and then came back to find the cache. TNLN and thanks for another adventure Bushfire.
The flood water has receded enough for me to gain entry to the board walk and thus to place the object that you will be seeking at WPT2. I have raised the difficulty a little due to the projected waypoint and the extra problem of finding a small object at WPT2.
Have been down here today and placed an object at a new location which we will call WPT2. To find this location you will have to Project a Waypoint from the starting sign. More info tomorrow.
We were looking forward to doing this cache but the recent floods have taken their toll. It was a little ominous seeing all the debris as we walked to WP 2 only to discover that the bird hide is no longer there. Had a look at WP3 for a clue, but had no success. This will need updating by Bushfire before anyone else attempts. Looking forward to doing it once it gets back online.
After The _Easter_Bunnies reported that the bird hide is no more I wandered down to see what the problem was and sure enough the hide is no more but not due to flood damage but I think as the hide had out lived it's purpose. The location has over the years become overgrown and you cannot see the water anymore so I think the decision to remove it was made.
The details on how find this cache at the original co-ords only needed a wipe and it is fine as is the container at GZ but I have removed it for some TLC but it will be back soon.
I will sort this guy out in the next day or so and will provide any answers that are required.

A big day out caching with Liz and Bruce. With four pairs of eyes we sorted out the required information and then strolled to gz to make a quick find.
After 4 successive days of caching with visiting WA friends richlink it was beginning to be a test of endurance especially given the early starts and late finishes. Each day we would report to each other on aches and pains and blisters. Today we were heading from Werribee towards Geelong. This was one we found and we thank you for the cache bushfire - nice one.
Took three visits and even then I had a problem with the pobblebonks, but some deduction and the cache was in hand. TFTC
With a lazy afternoon in the offing, I thought I'd have a trip down to look for this one. I quickly gathered the sign clues (or so I thought ) and headed to WP2 for the next mistake er, I mean answers!
Things were going more and more sour all the time and I couldn't find WP3 for the life of me . Just as I was about to give up, I checked one last thing that I had already looked at several times and at long last, I had the info I needed - or so I thought.
Two mistakes in my data collecting, one of which would have had me searching about 1800 km away , led me on a wild goose chase for a little while. By altering one other number, I had a far better location and at long last I had the stash in hand at 15:50. A saga and a half but a very pleasant area to have it in .
TNLNSL. Thanks Bushfire.

Came to this one next for a second go after failing previously a fewmonths ago. This time double checked all numbers as I went! This is really a pleasant walk through here, much cooler under the trees. Got to the hide and counted carefully, found the old site with no dramas and plugged GZ into the GPSr. After a short search had the cache in hand this time! Thanks to bushfire for bringing me here, a place I wouldn't have visited otherwise.
On holidays from Queensland. Used to live in this area. After a few adjustments of the coordinates due to the upgrade of the park,I went to GZ. Log dry. TNLN TFTC Thanks Bushfire
Nice area to wander around, Bushire helped clarify the amount of engraved birds. GPS wasnt happy in this area, not sure what was happening. Alas found the old cache just as I was about to give up and make a phone call. All the rest was straight forward. T4TC.
As jinkyandjohn stated on the 15/01/2001 that the whole area was under water and yes the cache had been washed away.
Sistema's are great cache containers but are not waterproof and float nicely.
A new cache was placed on the 23/01/2011 but was not found until Buckleysbabe found it five months later.
Just about two months later Phetlern and ian&penny discovered the original cache a little soggy but the log book was only damp inside its plastic bag.
Once every thing is dry and cleaned up I will replace all back in the original location and place Buckleysbabe's log with all the others.
Thanks to the finders for first of all spotting the mud splatted container and also for notifying me where I could find it. Well done.

Coordinates changed to:
S 38° 09.984 E 144° 19.731
Distance from original: 429 feet or 130.7 meters.
All questions are still the same but in a different order and the cache coordinates now start at the colored sign to make the cache notes easier to understand. WPT1 and GZ are still in original locations.

On an afternoon's caching with Ian and Penny it was time for a Multi. After a circuitous search for information and debate about primary and secondary caches we approached the area of a likely GZ. What a bonanza - the cache was spotted!
On return to base we read all the logs and now wonder if the cache P-P found could be the "lost" cache. We didn't actually notice who made the last log entry, so we can't be sure!
We found the instructions for this cache to be disjointed and convoluted, which unfortunately detracted from the enjoyment of the cache hunt and the uniqueness of the area. Perhaps it would be better if the published starting point was adjusted!
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Bushfire.

9th find of the day, and 2950th total find at 16:08.
We had tried this many moons ago and were thwarted by young lovers on the platform. We found it today almost by accident, it was just lying next to the boardwalk - so we suspect it may have shifted recently.
We found the cache instructions a bit confusing.
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks Bushfire for the cache

Phew! Took forever to find WPT1, but not so slow with the cache. Must remember to wear sensible footwear in future! TFTC.
Well jinkyandjohn were correct in their prediction that this cache would need some TLC due to the 3.2m flood level. WYP1 survived due to it's location, just needed a bath and it is back in the original spot. GZ did not survive as it was at least a metre under water and has been washed away but has a new container placed today and so is ready to be found and all other points of interest that are required for this cache are OK.
The frogs, ducks and even the water rats seem to be happy with all the water that is in the wetlands near this cache. Come and check this location out. Well that's one back up and ready but many more to go.

Going to disable this cache due to the floods in the area until I check it out in the next day or so.
The Barwon River is up, seriously up, and the boardwalk is no longer visible. If this cache is not "history" it will be a miracle! See pics ...

Back again, on a slightly less crowded day, only had to dodge one jogger (twice - he came back) with his dogs (actually only one of them was his, as the ensuing scuffle between them indicated) and a bike rider in his seventies who must have been missing conversation since he retired ... The place I initially thought was GZ, was not. The GPS was jumping a fair bit, and not at all keen about the tree cover. The time taken was not wasted, well, not by the mozzies anyhow, a couple of litres later the cache was in hand, and entries were made in the official log. Took a dice, left geonickel, TFTC!
Aaaargh! Summer holidays [:(!] Followed all the instructions, found all the waypoints, worked out GZ, and hot and cold muggles are all over it! We'll be back ...
Although the mossies tried to stop us and I mean millions of them tried to stop us! Found today. I haven't been here since I was a local kid growing up in the area 30 years ago. Boy it is fantastic now. Not many things I can say are better than they used to be , but this area certainly is. TFTC. TNLN
Bushfire has returned to Geelong and checked out this cache today and I am happy to report that this cache has survived the recent floods and is ready to be found. Log,pen and contents all OK.
Owing to the Barwon River flooding I am disabling this cache until the water recedes and I can check this cache out.
This is what makes geocaching so addictive and enjoyable. Guiding us to wonderful new locations, combined with a bit of education and a great hunt. It's even better when it gets us out of our well trodden tracks and show us new jewels in "our backyard". This cache took us two visits to solve. On our first, we were stumped at WP1, and with many muggles around we didn't want to explore the flora too extensively. The hint led us astray initially on our second visit, but not for long and then on to GZ to sign the log.

Thanks, Bushfire, for another great cache.

Found today but needed a hint from Kirkykrew, Took sewing kit left Bangle. Thanks
Another challenging cache from Bushfire. Gathered all the answers and headed off to the original site where we wondered around like lost sheep for quite a while not knowing what we were looking for. Finally we looked in the right spot and found the thing we were looking for (nothing like I was expecting). Popped the calculated coordinates into our trusty garmin and soon had the cache in hand. Took travel bug. TFTC.
Called in today to release GNR member # 1 Axl TB for others to find and learn how to locate the real GNR cache.
Suscoe enjoyed this walk around the wetlands.
A delightful way to spend some time in a great spot so close to houses but so far away.
Took turlte, left dove clip.

Just wandering down by the river checking and popped in some travelers for a look at this lovely part of the river.
Found today @ 1755 Hrs!
Good hide & took some time to find!
Had to pretend that I had lost my camera lens cover as there were a few Muggle's about! Thanks also to Speedy Stamp's for keeping watch!

Found today @ 4.20pm on my second attempt. Found WP1 to GZ of old Cache on 24/1/09 but a dead, rotting smelly Carp put me off. Had spent about 45mins. to an hour looking the first time out here, then had to give it a miss as smell was getting to much.
Came back this afternoon, on way home from Wye River for a call out for a snake. Looked for another 20 mins. But there were three young boys in a blow up boat hanging around in the water. Told them about the high levels of Blue-Green Algee but they did not care. They said "What are you, a Ranger or something?" Should of told them yes and that I was testing the Toxicity levels in the water. That would have moved them on faster. Anyway, Was able the retrieve the cache after a quick call to Bushfire, I was standing right over it but did not see it.
Nice hide and nice area.
TFTC NINO.
Got back to my car and relized that i forgot to wind my window up but had the car locked. All was good.

Another great hide by the master Bushfire. It's a great spot, though had to spend some time pretending I was on the phone or doing research for a PhD on local fauna and flora as Muggles wandered by.
Took Indian Chief, left Magnetic Cow.
