Logs
Found 19:00, and retrieved. Contents wet and moldy, will scan log and up-load. This was the cache that started me caching. Discovered caching while researching the history of Pulbah Island, when I asked my daughter to search in you-tube, not expecting to get a hit. A guy called “Mix†was telling about hiding a cache on Pulbah. That was the start and this was my forth cache, using only my Tom Tom to find.
Up on the lake sailing for a few days and while stretching the legs on Pulbah thought I would check on the cache. Log is damp with mould growing on back cover, changed plastic bag. Also tried to dry container and contents as best as I could. No pen or pencil in the cache either.
It was quite easy but didn't need to be so far in. The path to walk to it is very dangerous because of snakes and we don't understand why you put it near a log because snakes live there. We took the skim ball and put in a pink carrabeana and a neck thing. It was lots of fun as we drove there in our boat. Obviously I am not a snake lover. THANKS FOR THE CACHE.
First time I have set foot on Pullbar and have fished around there for years, and yes Grubfred I will stick my hand into all the unknown places since you wont LOL. What a great day and top location TFTC
Lovely day for a boat ride with Boolaroo Bandit, took Rose 2008 Geocoin and Australia Zoo wallet, left sewing kit and keyring. TFTC!!
2nd visit to location this time with geo-kids. A few wet days sailing on lake. Dropped off Richlinks Compass Rose 2008 Geocoin, Now nearer to coast.

Grabbed the father-in-law and his dingy to get to this one with Prudence xx along aswell. This was about the limit for this little boat. Anyway we set of from the western side of the lake (as we had plans for the rest of the day on that side of the lake), about fifty meters from the island the motor decided it had had enough and stopped so we rowed ashore at the western point of the island and made our way to the cache from there (surely the way up from the other side is easier than this).
found the cache, did the ritual and returned to the boat, found and fixed a small fuel leek and made our way back to boat ramp about four hours after the plan which made the rest of the day quite interesting.
TN left party TB
thanks for a great adventure.

It was a great thrill to find this cache. I have been visiting Pulbah for years looking for remnants’ of a Koala population. Plenty of Lace Monitors live on the island. When visiting during summer be sure to keep a look out for them. It was while doing some research on the island on the internet that I just entered Pulbah on You Tube. Next thing is a clip about a guy hiding stuff called a cache on the island??????? Well than with another couple of hours on Google I found all about this Geocaching activity. Registering than locating a TB near to home if was off to Pulbah with a new purpose. What a great fun activity for all ages!
I believe that the log of this cache by Postman Pat is not entirely a true account of the find.
Found with Postman Pat and entourage.
This was a great day had by all. Plenty of campfire stories for this one. I have video somewhere but it has been misplaced in all the confusion.
When it is unpacked I will be sure to share it with the world.
Thanks Mix and special thanks to Pat for sharing the day with us.

57cm flatty boated on plastics
Couple of bream and tailor in the mix
A bit of water sports, tube and ski
And for the skipper, geocaches just for me
Yep I love this water lifestyle
It’s a real bonus when there’s a geocache on an isle
So anchored up, in a little cove
Waded ashore to seek the treasure trove
With dad and sister in law in tow
We took off up the path to see what’s in stow
Let the relo’s claim the find
I’ve done many, so I didn’t mind
Thanks Mix for brining us here
Now to tow dad on the biscuit, I can smell fear!

Rowed ashore from the HMS Scarborough. Abandoned by my fellow Geocachers, who went on ahead while I brought the boat round from our first landing point, and without GPS I managed to follow my nose to the site. Huzzah for Geocaching!
I don't have herpes. This was my second ever cache. I love it. ps Beware of wombats falling out of trees. pps Next geocacher might want to take a new pen along - the one in the box isn't up to much!
On a houseboating weekend on the Lake. Just superb until I crashed the boat into a sandbar and had to get towed.
The treasure island adventure reaped a cache.
Good times

Good paddle approx 1 hour from sunshine. Once we found the track no problems finding the cache. A good way to spend a sunday morning the lake was like a millpond.

We found it!
This was our first go at geocaching, and Pulbah is our favourite day trip on Lake Mac, so the two just seemed to go together.
The GPS got us to within 7m, but the trail was partly covered in lantana, so it wasn't easy. After 5mins of rushing around, not knowing what we were looking for, we stopped to consider where we would hide something, spotted something bright blue amoungst the green and brown, and there she was! Our first.
The kids took a bear and ball, and left behind a yo-yo and Steve Irwins wallet!
Thanks Mix, this was a great day out in a top location.
