First find on a very cold and windy but sunny winter time walk of some 20km. I worked out that I haven't been here for 38 years although I have visited Banksia Grove many times since then.

As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Following the comments by deadolga, I feel that this cache should be temporarily disabled. Hope to return to it and do the needed maintenance in the next few months.

Found this cache just lying on the ground near a number of rocks. The lid of the container is missing and the paper sheets for the log are screwed up and full. I feel this cache needs attention! Covered the container to make it secure.

It was an overcast day, light winds and no hint of rain in the near future - an ideal day for walking. The walk to GZ was quite demanding, especially in the first 200m when most of the climbing was done and in the last 150m to reach the top of Broadview Hill. Good views from this vantage point - well worth visiting. Our GPS indicated that GZ was about 5m away from where the cache was eventually found. The container is quite small and the log, protected in a thick plastic wallet, was a little difficult to extract. However, perseverance paid off and the find was completed. TFTC

Wow! 250 meters up from sea level. With a backpack full of rocks!
Some great walking around here brilliant views and got to see the two caves down by the coast.
We went down much quicker than up with the smell of Pork Pie wafting up from the car!
Thanks for getting us to take the side track up this hill.

Last year we climbed and stood at this very spot, but that was before we knew about geocaching so were unaware of the cache literally at our feet! Today this was rectified. Beautiful panorama from the top, though very windy. Thanks.

Our first for the day. A great view from this location. Off to see if we can bag the others around the area. TNLNSC. Thanks.

1st find of the day at 11:11.
The track up to here today is mostly under water, so my dry boots are no longer. And the more caching I did, the deeper the rivers got....
An interesting puzzle of how to extract the cache. Great views from here - spent some time taking in the view and some happy snaps.
Thanks for the cache!

Hi ho, hi ho it's up the hill I go Smile

It really isn't much of a hill, but the locals have given it an impressive name [:o]
No, I'm not going to tell you what that name is. You will have to tackle the climb yourself to find out Big Grin
But it is the same as a REALLY bad 1980's Australian movie Wink

But I digress. The walk is really beautiful as are the views from the top of the hill Big Grin
I arrived soaking wet from the waist down. Not because it was raining, but because the plant life along the trail is extrordinarily good at retaining the ovenight rain and dew and releasing it when you pass by Razz

At the summit I found the cache without going bush.
It was hiding right where it should be, under a rock or several Big Grin
TFTC, I took the 'Steinwalzers Ocean Waves" geocoin.

An easy find. Our first as part of this walk to find the 5 up in these hills. Don't know bout Ken's vision but ours was certainly blurred by flies and sweat.

After checkin' up on me own 'idden treasure nearby, I thought I'd drag me motley crew o' rags an' muffins (or was it raggamuffins?) we made it up there, whilst two o' our number bushbashed directly from Anniversary Bay (an' beat us there! How embarassin'. But our legs weren't torn ta shreds!). However...nine or so o' us there...an' we didn't bring a pen! So tha nex' day, meself an' a few companions trecked back up there, then onta Doone Falls (and hid a new cache!), pen in 'and, and logged it triumphantly.

Me 'avin' a shack at Sisters Beach, it's good to see tha area 'aving caches that ain't 'idden by me!

Well I had a great walk up here today. Weather seemed to be a bit patchy but after some drizzle that stopped when I was parking, I made it to the top with it still clear! Took up a couple of rocks to add to the pile. Cache was still in position and in good condition. Amazed that in 20 months this is only the fourth find. I've been wanting to do the circuit for aaaages, the new cache added impetus. Wonderful views. Thanks deegees, a great walk and cache.

Dont know why this hasnt been visited more often.
Nice easy walk on a good track with speccy views at the end.
Pile of rocks were all over the place and cache container was out in the open and had been trod on.
Although a little squished, the log was safe and sound.
Many thanks.

What a hill. Ive never walked so far in all my life. the cache was pretty easy to find when we got there but that walk up nearly killed me. Really good view from the top though its really worth it.

oooh lovely day but we ran out of time getting a bit lost thinking seachange must be somewhere on the way here - it is in fact in the opposite direction down the hill! Dipping coin which is actually located in http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0769 Sea Change Anyone? for tracking.

After finding Holy Holly...weather wasn't looking too bad..plus a FTF in the offering...decided to tackle this one. After a bit of a layoff..this climb was exactly what was needed...even though the weather was turning a little sour.Made it up just on 30 min....so pretty easy climb on a good track. The views of Sisters Beach on the way up were great..just as well..as the weather had closed in on reaching the top.Cache easy find..scrounged quite a few rocks while there..doubling the size...so should be enough to keep cache well covered. Will come back on a better day..as I have placed a cache nearby....on the way back from this one. Thanks heaps for the walk deegees...good one.Cheers.
