Searched all obvious places.
Sat down on the bench, read the logs.
Went back to the car, grabbed a torch and gloves, searched overhead in the tree.
Found: nothing

What a great cache! It is a nice little place to be too, in amongst the city life. Came for the walk from St Leonards in my lunch break. Took nothing left nothing. That was fun! Woyboys.
Found the seat, found the tree, leaned back... but couldn't find the cache. Sigh.
Found @ 1745. I had just done 'Still the one?' and popped across Norm Brooks Cricket Field to get this as the last for the afternoon. Whilst this was a good hide, I hate this type, because you never know what's going to jump out a bite you, especially spiders. Well I've logged it now and don't have to come back and stick my hand in there ever again. TFTC.
Whilst logging this one I noticed it only had one signing spot left. I'd suggest the log needs to be replaced, unfortunately my caching bag was a bit sparse on spare log sheet. Sorry.
As part of a family get together for my birthday, we went searching for our first Geocache. The intent was to use the iPhone to do it, but lack of PPP meant that the iPhone was only used for reading the hints - which we needed to actually find it. We're looking forward to our next one.
A bit of a nutty problem finding this one at first.
Failing light in the early evening prompted us to read through others clues....Thank you all. Very helpful.
Nice spot. Brought back childhood memories. TFTC.

Nice little hide, took a few moments to look high enough but I found it in the end TFTC TNLN
Two visits; last night when there were heaps of football players around and this morning when there were not. Found it, added my name, TNLN.
Went looking for this one bright and early on the way to the Station. I drew a blank.
Geowife and Geokids came here at lunch time for a play in the park/oval and wouldn't you know it, BINGO, they got it.

[This one had beaten us a few times before so Mr Ozjeeper took the opportunity to have another go whilst he was checkin a nearby cache. The GPSr once again put him all over the place. A sit down on the only "proper" seat and a glance to his right revealed the container in plain view. He stood up, reached up and grabbed it. Logging duties completed the small container was returned to its hiding spot - bringing a torch will definately help future seekers to locate this one.
Since this one is meant to be easy, here's a hint for the 1 in 3 of us who've had trouble finding the container:] Stand up to find it. It's above head height.

This is my second time back to this one! I am sure I had looked in the place before - thanks for the hint Yeeehah, TNLN,signed the log, Regards MRG
After finding Still the One, I thought this would be another quick find. No such luck! I spent about 20 minutes in the area looking in all the obvious places and spent some time rereading the cache notes! Today it just wasn't to be! Thanks MRG
Suppose now we are no longer allowed to look for caches in NP we will just have to get used to finding these types of caches again.
This is much much more difficult to find than the 2-star rated nearby cache "Still the One". We spent a long time searching the area the GPSr led us to without success. I'ts interesting that several "Still the one" finders can't get this one (and vice versa).
First cache of the day of revisiting some previous dnf's I was determined. Took it slow and no rush and found this little cache.
Stopped in on the way to work.
Lovely area with a few muggles exercising their pooches on the nearby park.
Good cache site.

I have to agree very tricky but simple hide. Nicely done !!! If i had paid closer attention to the caches name and description it would have saved a good deal of time and my phone bill.

XC had a go on way back to airport.. but no luck.
Usually in NZ if you hide a micro in a park a hint is given for those who don't want to destroy the local flora.
Maybe I will come back on another trip and more time.
Thanks anyway.

Great little park, and love the sculptures. I didn't expect to find the cache where I did.
Easy find once you look at the right place . Took the penguin and dropped a paper clip
Found this tricky little cache with GeoCheese & Kisses
Thanks yeeehah.

difficulty=1? either I'm looking in the completly wrong place or its harder than the listed difficulty or its missing.. anyway off to "your the one".
Very clever! Took 5c and a dice and put in a marble and a penguin made by the 8 year old member of badfabs!
5.30p
This was a bugger to find, GPS was all over the place. The place where I assumed it would be I searched at least 3 times. Found the well hidden cache eventually. The sculptures are well done. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTH

Great sculptures, what a good idea. I spent most of my time looking at them while the other found and signed the log (hopefully they signed my name as well!!)
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
24th find on a caching trip to Sydney with chewinprickles and Robmc.
This was a nice spot to visit - clean and tidy and interesting gumnuts nearby (as suggested by the title). Found the container fairly quickly and were on our way to the nearby 'still the one' in no time. TFTC.

First find on a great walking tour of North SYD...8 of 9 for the day complete with over 7 miles of walking. Found this one after a bit of searching. A muggle lady ws quite interested in what I was doing so I offered her several hours of walking and caching with me....she and her dog declined as they were off to meet friends. TFTC!!
Sats weren't cooperating and I was being sent all over the place. From other people's comments I thought I knew what I was looking for, but this one beat me!
This was my only DNF for the day so I guess I can live with it
I will return!!!

Should have found it much quicer than I did - but the sats weren't helping and I was about to give up, but there it was. Tricky part was getting it out. TFTC!
I had some help with this one after spending considerable time looking in all the obvious places. Even after the clues I still had to look twice and in the end it was the Geodaughter that came up with the goods. Extraction took some time especially in the rain! Took froggy clip left $1.00 coin and Koala geocoin. Seemed like a good spot for a koala to be! TFTC SL (The cache is really full now time to move something on).
After a couple of unsuccessful visits returned today. The canister was lying in the open. I have returned it to where I presume it started, though you may wish to check. 50th Find for the Shnappstix so very excited especially to find this one which had been hidden to us!
quick and easy while waiting for a car reparation. TN left a frog to put on your drink glass.

They really are big nuts!!!!! And they would hurt.
Found at 5:55pm - a quick and easy one at that after a walk around the park from Still the one. The 2nd find in 15 minutes - ya gotta be happy with that!
Loved the namesakes and the location, would have liked a larger cache, but well hidden all the same.
TNLNSL - TFTC yeeehah
Cheers.

Nice easy find. Wouldn't want to be around here when one of those things dropped off the tree!
After a couple of DNF's, I'll wander down just to make sure it wasn't washed away in all the rain we have had here.
Unfortunately didn't find it today. Had a good look around but came up with nothing. It was also hard to not look suss with others around including a film crew.
Love the nuts but could not find the film canaster. Seemed to have very accurate positioning despite pouring rain. Frustrating not to find the goodies!!!
I was familiar with this park, although I think I have spent far less time here than may other cachers. I had no trouble finding the area of the cache, but it took al little longer to find the cache itself. The cache is in a great, quiet little area in the park.
Well finally a FTF for the Wilkos. Nice quiet park with some amazing carvings. Thanks for taking us there

Just as the Rat has been through here a few times, so have we to other caches nearby, some now gone. Was very impressed with the namesake, rather cool really. Cache did not take too long to find.
Cheers
