##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).
If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.
I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.
If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

There has been a buildup of caches around the Mid North Coast that have not been found for quite some time with multiple DNF's, Write Note, or Needs Maintenance and where the CO has not been able to follow up or are no longer caching. Consequently these cache have been abondonded.
These caches need to be archived to stop visitors to our region from being disappointed after in some cases having to make a significant effort to get to GZ only to find nothing.
In this instance the CO has not cached since 2008 and the cache was last found in 2018 - exactly 4 years ago!

Just a note that this cache is located in the middle of a current large fire. Might have cleared away some of the undergrowth, but may not have done wonders for the cache itself.
Definitely one I will have to check on NEXT WEEK! No chance this week!

Way too over grown. Was about 57m away. Take a wiper sipper if you come. It’s a 38• day and to scared snakes would be out. Also in shorts and thongs.
Bashed the Camry around a bit getting here - cane in from the south from possum brush road. Not super flat! The road I took to the north on the way out was a highway in comparison.
Great views up here. I don’t know where the ‘track’ is - there’s nothing here that would constitute a track these days. It’s a rugged T2 ha ha
Got there in the end though. Was just very nervous about where I put my feet.
Log was dry but must have been sodden as it is now pretty much a solid lump. I did my best. TNLN TFTC

If you think this is a track i would prefer to see a highway!!! Found it but couldnt log it as the book is very wet
TFTC. Great little walk though many obstacles. Bit rough on the ankles and had to carry A as the grass was longer than him lol. Had to drain the water from the cache but managed to sound the dripping wet log using permanent marker. Great views 360° from the top.
Found it! Awesome views! However spoilt by people dumping rubbish..(why people why??!)
A bit water logged, though notepad dry and secure. Pen a bit waterlogged and hard to use. Great spot and great cache, thank you!!
Tftc. Great views. I can't remember the last time I was here. Many years ago when I was a child. Great little trek, but mind your step. Ground is very uneven. Container was full of water (which I emptied) but log was dry. Tnln. But thnx again for bringing me here. A solo effort today.
Sorry for the late log, kept forgetting to do it.
Found this cache whilst on a raw food retreat at Clarendon Forest Lodge - took some time out to do a bit of 4x4 and wound our way up the hill. Thought we had it sussed at the lookout but then saw where we had to go. Grass was a bit high and I was worried about snakes and the thongs on my feet! Funny but google maps showed this as a grassy clearing - and not as the rocky, fallen tree covered, long grassed death trap that we encountered!! Hubby had a spare pair of boots in the back of the ute so pulled them on and headed down the slope. Trying to clamber over everything with size 8 feet in size 11 boots was not the easiest thing I've ever tried to do! Jim just laughed and bounded off at breakneck speed. Now I know why this cache is called Breakneck - we were luckly not to break ours! What I thought would be a quick park and grab turned into a thirty minute slow clamber but we did find the cache in the end . The cache was damp so tried to dry out as best we could (but there was no way I was going back up to the car to dry it and bring it back down again, sorry!). The views from the lookout are just stunning and it was great to see the coast and hinterland. Thanks so much for placing a cache here - wouldn't have found the lookout otherwise. TFTC

A beautiful day for drive... Coffs Harbour to Forster... Decided to grab a few of caches along the way...
A slight detour, a bit of a search, made the grab, signed log & replaced...

Quick find. Haven't done many at night but was still light enough to see. Great view with all the lights of Taree. Great spot. TFTC!!! #305
Bit of a walk through the scrub right on dusk, which wasn't a good time. The view was good from up top, particularly as the lights of Taree came on. TFTC
cache still in good order though there is a tiny bit of moisture in the bottom , good hidey hole (showed me just how unfit I am) , took a swap and left a swap , forgot to take a pen so I signed the log by dipping a rusty screw driver into alittle water and signed it that way LOL . Great little hunt !
Cache has dried out and is still there even after the recent logging, quite suprising!
Great views got some good shots too, TFTC.

What a waste of timber, clear felling and leaving it to rot. Quite an effort getting thru all the fallen timber and will be doubly so when secondary regrowth occurs. TFTC.
1255, GAFF1, After finding the Trig close by, I parked the Geomobile further down the track and walked back up the hill, silly move on my part [8]
I came across a recently felled area (GZ) and had some doubts that I would find this cache however amongst the carnage however I soon located the hide.
The container was full of water and log damp, drained water from the container and SL.
I would suggest the CO had a look as I fear this cache will disappear with the logging operations at GZ.

Tree felling occuring at GZ, if CO could check PIC on my log and determine if happy to leave cache in the same area please ?
What better way to start the year than to try to keep the caching streak going.
Had been here in the days when Kane was still cycling around these roads. Must do it a bit more. Maybe need to place a few more cycling caches out here. Now, there's an idea. Just have to check where is National Park, and where is not!
Log book nice and dry, small amount of condensation in container.

Found it, but we walked up from the road...Dropped off a trackable and picked up a Geocoin.
We have found a nice little spot at the Coopernook Hotel to park the caravan and go off caching. Quite a drive to gz and an awesome view. This one gets a fav point.
Thanks to Dukes of Hazard.

Wow, we'll this was one of our more interesting cache hunts.....
7yr old GeoSon and I made a B line for the cache with my new Garmin 62S thinking this was going to be a simple find that is until we came across numerous felled trees. Climbing over the numerous fallen trees wearing shorts and thongs, oh and did I mention the lantana...lol, we eventually found the cache....we weren't going anywhere until we did.
We took the yoyo - 7 yr old very happy and left the Crazy Critters, Neigh GeoCoin....as it wants to see the forest I though this was an ideal place.
A great spot, the view was amazing, especially at sunset.

With perfect Great Lakes weather to enjoy, we created a list of unfound caches just to the north of Pacific Palms. Reaching the lookout was not an issue. From there the problems began.
Recent tree clearing work created a barrier similar to the one around Sleeping Beauty's castle -" The prince then braves the tall tress, brambles and thorns which part at his approach, and enters the castle". We had to forge a path thru' to the prize - then of course we had to get out.
Back in the car as we licked our wounds a motor bike pulled up beside us - was it the CO? No, but the rider shared his knowledge of many things local and pointed out significant features of the panorama, which was some diminished by haze today.
NOTE TO CO: Because of the recent tree clearing operation (where the trees remain where they were felled), this cache probably now has a (perhaps temporary?) Terrain rating of between 3 and 4.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Dukes of Hazard.

Little overgrown but otherwise thank you for a great find, make sure you bring a pen
I was heading towards GZ when I hit a wall of lantana so I headed back up and found a way around the bulk of it. After finding the cache I headed back towards the first way I came down to find the wall was extremmly thin at that point and I shoukd have just pushed through it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found with "The Neighbs". Very ugly cache spot. There is evidence of very recent wild pig activity and felt a bit vulnerable to attack. TNLN TFTC :-/
So many better spots to put it! A nice drive up but a 50meter trek into thick vegetation, why not a micro on the fire outlook?
Ohhh well nice views though

This cache should get found more often. Great views, easy drive in, not too difficult to find. The contents were wet and I had no way to clean them as I was in work clothes. The log book is dry though. It's a wonder this area is in the state of disrepair it is. Think the council would promote it as a tourist sight.

We loved the view up here, Shell didn't quite make it to the GZ though, it's a bit of a wild and woolly crawl down to the GZ. It looks like there used to be a mountain bike track nearby. No way the cache should get muggled down here.

The highlight of the trip. Drove in from the "Get high" cache, through the twisting forest roads. Got there eventually. I have to say this lookout has seen better days, not many people come up here, obviously, which is a bit sad because it's a great view. The track to the cache ends up needing some bush-bashing too, but the find and sign was easy enough, just as it started to rain. TNLN. Thanks for an interesting spot I wouldn't have otherwise visited.
Tremendous view from the top!
Lantana had overgrown the area a bit so it took a bit of time to get around. Nice easy find after all that, and once again, a great excuse to visit a spectalar place. TFTC

Breakneck- not such a bad name.
A few fallen trees in our path today but success at retrieving the cache.
Cache very wet- all contents wet some mouldy.
Log dry in its zip lock though.
Removed mouldy fluffy animals.
Placed some weatherproof prizes inside.

We drained the cache and signed the dry log book. No swaps today as contents quite damp.

Found at 3.20pm GAFF1. A beautiful drive through the lush and thick forest. We later found out how thick when trying to get through to GZ using a "short cut".
The view from the lookout was marvelous and we this is now the second fire station lookout that we have found to be abandoned in this district. The other being at Blue Knob's Lookout - wonder if there is some other technology going on around here to spot fires?
Thanks Dukes of Hazard.

While comming up here to do a eucalyptus honour with the Wingham Pathfinders, I snatched this one with help of Fangy because I didn't download the waypoint on my gps. Anyway I brought through DRW TB and left Jeep tb for some 4WD around this area. DRW tb was to small for the geocache. Enjoyed the view and It would be nice too see some more geocaches around breakneck which is mostly unlikely because it is a state forest.
Took Grandmothers card, left Cat toy. Great view, enjoyed climbing the fire tower. TFTC
After negotiating the black snake that was sunning itself near the path leading to the cache, the gps had me spinning round in circles. So I looked a bit further out and found it! TNLNSL Brought a few TB's through.

A bit more overgrown since I was last here. Used to park in off the highway on Blackbutt Rd and run up to Breakneck and back, but I don't do crazy stuff like that anymore (okay so maybe I do). Interesting camo on the container, TNLN. Fanxfordecache.
PS: Good little rock wall down around the corner on Blackbutt Rd. Good spot for some bouldering and free climbing. Park off the road near the blue posts.
