The GZ took me just into some very long grass and I am scared to death of snakes. so a very quick look around. Saw nothing but a few small rocks. Looked under the rocks and a quick look around the base of a couple of trees. Saw a tail (probably a lizard) and high tailed it out of there.

Found the rocks... but not the cache like the other. Time for a check me thinks!
I searched for this and it showed signs of being flooded recently. I did not spend too much time here because the amount of traffic going past was huge. I cannot believe all the easy drive by comments?
I am unsure if it is here or not, but until the water goes away I won't be back for a while

Found: First of the day as we were leaving Rocky. We did not see any trackables in the cache.
Our 1st find in Rocky. We have come from Brissy via Biloela, Emerald and Blackdown Tablelands. Took dinosaur TB. TFTC...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane
On a drive from Rocky to Emerald stopped by to do a spot of caching. Thanks L TB

I have actually visited THE Thunderbolt's Rock near Uralla in NSW, TWICE this year [:o]
So I knew I was in with a chance of finding this Thunderbolt Cache [^]
But strolling along the roadside toward GZ had me wondering if this rock had sunk into the swamp [:o]
I poked around behind some trees for a while and finally spotted it
This must be like Ayer's Rock...95 percent of it underground
In a bizzarre twist, I robbed the cache of a Cache Critter's geocoin
TFTC.

Found on our trip back from cape York. Passed the cache on the way up and decided to do it at night on the way back because of the traffic!!! Took 2 TBs and left 4TBs. TFTH
The first time I went after this find I had to turn back because of a large traffic jam on the highway...
Went back today and was rewarded with a quick find.

This must be one of the easiest finds. Still it has taken me 2 years to finally get to it. Always in a rush. Now, with kids sleeping in the back and some time to spare, took the moment to get to the cache. TFTC
damn hard to get the car of the road, the edge was so steep... got away with a stud, nothing serius... but damn..

Real Hard to be discreet on this busy road, wasn't much to take photos of around here hope all those drivers were watching where they were driving.

Yes this cache is an easy find, unfortunately it wasn't quiet as easy getting off the road, as well as back onto the road after logging cache. TFTC.TNLN.
WELL THIS WAS AN EASY FIND BUT FOUND THE VEHICULAR APPROACH & DEPARTURE TO THIS ONE NOT VERY PLESANT LET ME TELL YOU. TFTC.
Called in today to grab a U4DTB that I thought was in the cache.
Lucky I did, the council workers were mowing today, and the cache had been crushed by a tractor, or something similar. The cache was still there, but the top had been popped off. I bashed the container back into shape, and replaced the lid. I have moved the cache approx 1 metre to somewhere inaccessable to mowers or tractors.
Cheers

Found the cache at 1.10pm. Nice easy. No swap. SL. Thanks Cowboy Macca and JimW83 for organising the cache and hunt.
No problems finding, getting to it or returning it but didn't know if I was ever going to get the chace to leave the back considering the amount of traffic.

A quick find - but alas not a trackable in sight (maybe the unite for diabetes bug looks like a keyring?). TNLNSL Holding all my Qldfound bugs to take back to South Aussie. Anyway thanks for the cache.
Held up here last time as the cache was having a holiday during the floods earlier this year but found at home today. TNLN TFTC
Tried this without a GPS as had a far idea where it may be....NOT RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE....went and got new batteries for GPS and found it in a heart beat. Took keyring, left nothing. 202
Sorry mate - did receive notification of this one being restored to its home, but hadn't had a chance to re-enable it. Glad it's back.

Good point Steve. Good to see you blokes are getting some rain up there, but perhaps not good for caching areas such as this one.
Thanks for looking after it Dooghan - now agree it needs a new home, but considering the original intent of the cache, I'm short on for ideas. Will try to catch you soon.

We saw this one pop up on our way past. We didn't have any notes with us, so we stopped off for a look. There were only so many places at GZ to hide a cache, but we couldn'd find anything.
Now we read the notes, and it seems the cache may not be there. Maybe the listing should be disabled if the cache is not actually there?
Thanks for the fun!

It's going to be a long while before this cache gets put back out. The cache hiding spot is a swamp at the moment and will be a while before it dries out. We also have another flood on the way which should add some more water to the area. Really needs to be relocated but I can't think of a good enough place.

Just removed the cache due to the coming flood water. Will replace it once it gone.

I'll be temporarily removing this cache on Wednesday the 23rd (tomorrow evening) as this area is predicted to go under water over the weekend. depending on the condition of the cache site, it should be back within a fortnight, but I'll try to relocate any remaining bugs to a nearby cache in the mean time.
Found easily- so many muggles hanging around, we thought they must be geocachers, but it appeared not- they were just looking at nearby attractions, it seemed. Stopped in to swap some TBs but alas, there were none there. Particularly disappointed the diabetes TB isn't there, as we were planning to finish its journey to Townsville. What a shame- it nearly made it! Maybe it will turn up there anyway?
Did a swap- an orange recorder (I collect miniature musical instruments), and left a Superball and a butt collector container from Cairns.

Dropped by for a brief visit before heading back to see what the family were up to. I've collected a few TBs around Rocky, but will take them with me for the long drive back to Sydney over the next few days.

Found close to dusk on an afternoon caching around Rocky. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache. Cheers, Rav 4 Raiders
Having been transferred back out scrub to Charleville at the end of the school year, I won't be back this way real often to keep an eye on the cache. As such, JimW83 has kindly agreed to look after it for me. Cheers to all the CQ cachers for their great hides in this neck of the woods, and watch out for some new ones out round Charleville. Have a great Chrissy everyone.

Second visit to this bug motel. Took European Wildlife Geocoin, from Thunderbolts Rock to see Captain Starlight.
Found easily 9/12/07. Log full so I left a new one. Picked up the frog TB to take to Townsville. Thanks CowboyMacca for a nice easy cache.
Found it very easily. Took Nothing but dropped off TB Travel Frog and The Merry Piggy.
Found this one with no trouble at all, having recently been to Thunderbolt's Hideout in Tenterfield. No Geocoin or Travel Bugs in Cache. Dropped in European Wildlife Geocoin and a Finger Fright. TFTC.
On a Cannonball run I took 5 mins to make this point my U turn. Dubbo to Dubbo by Rockhampton via Gladstone. 1500km's in two and a half days. Only hit the one roo.
Said a quick G'day to Dooghan, his family and my Old Cheese. Picked up Fretguys Beads and will drop them into a Red Ochre Cache. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=3a06833a-3ab8-4e71-8a4d-0ab9840633a2

On our way North we are stopping by those caches that are readily accesible. Dropped off some beads so that their story can continue.
dropped in with the intention of grabbing the german geocoin .... unfortunately it had already left the cache, along with a number of other bugs, so I opted to take nothing and discover the bugs currently in residence
Very busy road, but was able to get in and out without dying. The German GC was not ther but discovered a few TB's. Thanks.

Tijdens onze vakantie in Australië hebben we enkele caches gedaan. Deze lag langs een toegangsweg tot de plaats Rockhampton. Een klein stadje met een heleboel prachtige parken.
During our holidays we did several caches. Thith one we found on one of the entering roads to Rockhampton.

This was a nice quick easy find on our way home, lot of muggle traffic very close to the site, hopefully none of them get too curious of the people finding this cache
