What a great cache. A great walk taking in some awesome scenery. Once I got with a few meters of GZ cache was an easy find. SL TNLN before taking in more of the views. I've driven past this rock thousands of times but had no idea this was up here! A favourite point from me Cache #107 streak day 14. TFTC
I took the wrong path to find this cache and ended up getting caught in scores of cobwebs housing very large spiders indeed. Quite clearly, the Scouts don't come through here very often at all! I was quite thankful to eventually loop back around to access the cache. Easy find. Cheers
Have driven down this road many times but never knew the steps existed and led to the great view. Found the cache easily. TFTC
Parked in Parriwee Rd but walked the wrong way first looking for the steps up, so picked up "Lucinda" first before going the other way. Lovely views and found cache easily. Picked up TB. TFTC

Have been meaning to go for this one the last few times I was in the area but never quite going the right way. Today, geoWife and I took the time to access this the right way. Quite a few spider webs on trail and surprised that the views were obscured for most of the way. However, at the end, the views were fantastic.
SL and left TB.

Took a while to work out how to get to GZ, but the walk was great and the views are amazing. TFTC Tyreless

What a magic spot this is and the view is spectacular. I really enjoyed the walk in. So peaceful. Cache was quickly found with accurate coordinates. Thanks Tyreless.

Didn't find, but I didn't stray from the path as I had the kids and dog with me. Will have to come back. Beautiful spot!
All these years driving to, thru, over the Spit, never knew there would be a view from up here. Nice easy find, lovely park bench. TFTC.

Attending The Spit Reserve - That's A Paddlin', the weather was not good enough for kayaking, so instead I decided to walk over to some nearby caches.
After the Forgotten Lighthouse, I walked up to this cache. Once at the look out point the cache was easily spotted, and I wondered why the previous cacher was not able to find it.
Thanks for the cache.

Thought I found exactly where it should be, some evidence of people who hang out here, a deck chair, some 'rubbish' and a rock ledge, but no cache. DNF
Working on a boat at the nearby yacht club and took an early morning stroll up here. On a cool and we're morning the water no muggles to contend with so it was an easy find.

I had made plans to visit an old geocache in Sydney, but when Tdimdad asked me if I was interested in visiting some geocaches together with him, I decided to change my plans.
We had decided to start with a wherigo and to meet at a bus stop close to this GC around 1pm.
I decided to leave my apartment earlier to be able to do some gc's a little further away.
I took the bus to Parriwi Rd and started walking back to the meeting point.
The first cache I skipped as it had some NF's.
At first I was not sure how I could reach this cache but As I was walking along the road I noticed some stairs. Using my gps I followed a trail which Took me to the cache location.
At first I could not find the cache as my gos was pointing to a location closer to the edge.
But when I looked around I saw a better location which I passed earlier.
This location revealed the cache.
After writing my team name in the logbook and enjoying the view for a couple of minutes I left to SeaCat the next one on my list.
Thanks for the cache which took my to a very lovely place.

Was on the way home from a cycle-caching day-trip around Narrabeen Lake.
As I don't come by The Spit very often any more, decided to make an attempt at this one - despite sunset having been an hour ago.
Parked on Parriwi Road and walked up the steps to the start of the trail.
And with what must be the second flukiest find in history, the cache was at the first spot I directed my iPhone torch app to.
Must come back up here in daylight to see the view.

Unfortunately I couldn't find this one after a good search of the area. I'm unsure if the recent storms might have caused branches to drop and hide the cache even better! Disappointment allayed by the stunning views
Indeed. Loved the fact I was meters from heavy traffic but still felt secluded. Great view Tftc ??
I was over at Balmoral Beach in Mosman today for my footy club's pre-season beach training session in the morning, which included two runs up the infamous Balmoral Burn and a number of other fitness challenges. After the session, I had arranged to meet up with dicky_v at the starting point of 'Mr Funder's Rotunda' but he was running late, so I walked down the road to 'Next Stop... The Beach'. Last time I was here, the cache had gone walkabouts but this time it was a quick find. I really like the park and the cutout, with the various tram related memorabilia, which was generously donated by the Sydney Tramway Museum for all to enjoy. Favourite point awarded for the awesome and historic location, Thanks For The Cache Mr, Mrs & Little Miss Nilbog_Aus.
I managed to get through to dicky_v and traffic seemed bad, so we changed plans and decided to meet up at the 'Forgotten Lighthouse' up the road in Mosman. I had been eyeing off this cache for quite a while and was intrigued about the little Rosherville Lighthouse, so it was great to finally get here. Dicky_v arrived after a while and we made the find together (after I had already spotted where it was hiding, while waiting for him). Thanks For The Cache Mr & Mrs Nilbog_Aus.
Next it was onto 'Spitting Distance', where I introduced dicky_v to Periscope and we broadcasted our walk around Parriwi Park. After letting the GPSr signal settle, we soon made the find and had the Cache In Hand. The view from the lookout was worth the walk (aside from the cache, of course!). Thanks For The Cache Tyreless, as well as Charl and friends.
My last stop for the day was to find 'Lucinda', overlook Pearl Bay and Middle Harbour. Another quick find here with dicky_v watching on (having found it previously). Some really nice rocks in the installation, worth pausing here for a little while and taking a closer look. Thanks For The Cache petal888.
For all of the caches found today, Signed Log, Took Nothing Left Nothing.

2nd find today with JordsAU.
Funny story about this spot - Mosman Scout Group used to have a Rover Crew.
Looking at this spot over the u-turn bay, and the number of large trees, I'd guess this is where they had set up a few abseil ropes one afternoon.
Sure enough, someone inevitably called the police. Their response was that it looked like fun, they'd like to have a go too - but please pack up, as they were concerned the distraction would cause a car accident in the intersection.
Boring result, but makes for a good story.
Haven't been up here in a good few years.
Cheers!

Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. TFTC great hide

Third and final cache of the day and my Australian trip.
Great views over the spit and the parkrun course that I ran this morning.
Fairly easy find once I'd braved pushing through the undergrowth in my running shorts!!
Time to wander back to Mosman village and pack for the 26hr flight home.
TFTC!

My second find of the day. Having made my very first find at "Forgotten Lighthouse", a short stroll down the road led me to the stairway going up and then had fun looking for the cache in this nice urban oasis of nature. I had a bush turkey as companion for a short while walking along the path just in front of me. Great views of the Spit Bridge and Middle Harbour with all the boats, well camouflaged but found pretty quickly. Sat on rock overlooking yacht club below and enjoyed the view while signing log. Time for one more....TFTC.
Great spot - glad I didn't try the escalade! Seek and ye shall find a way.

Used a trusty cobweb clearer (ie. a stick) to clear our route, this track can't be used much. Great views, driven past plenty of times so good to finally get up here. TFTC
Greetings from the south coast. I'm staying in Sydney for the weekend and I looked at the geocaching app and I found this geocache was published nearby, so I got the co-ords and started looking. Great hide and great cache

First geocache find! Lovely location. Bit tricky to find until we looked at the hint. Thank you!
Yup it was a little harder but spitting distance or in yachting distance is about right. Great view although not the view we had in mind

Tonight, weather permitting, is the 10-12-14 Cachers' Christmas Meet & Greet event at Manly - an area I have only cached in after this event last year.
So, get there early and grab some caches... then the event.

Found a free parking spot nearby, and walked to GZ. Great view and the iPhone pointed me at a likely hidey hole.
Quick find after the walk. Completed signing duties and replaced.

Wow ! What a fabulous cache to find on my last day in Australia.
(I fly back to Paris this evening ).
I have driven over the Spit very many times, yet have never seen it from this vantage point.
Greetings from France.
Thanks Tyreless for the cache. I give a fav point.

What a great place for a cache. Thanks for bringing us here. Another place we would never come to if not for geocaching.

I retrieved the cache today. It's a bit damp inside so I'll dry it out and move it a little bit away from the muggle-prone location. It will be re-enabled within a fortnight.
We found it a short distance away. Someone had removed from the camo, opened it and thrown all the contents across the bush. We recovered what we could and placed it back where it belongs.
It needs some maintenance. Log book was out of the bag and is soaked.

I am away until October. I'll find a new hiding spot for this one as it has been muggled twice now.
Found on a pleasant Sunday family caching stroll around The Spit. Nice views from GZ over The Spit. Dropped TB "Peter Penguin". No sign of the other TB that is suppose to be in this cache (recent drop). Took a Girl Guide cloth badge and left a new LED torch. TFTC.
What an amazing spot...terrific view towards the sunset down the bay. A lovely Sunday afternoons walk. Thanks for the cache.
Like most geocachers we like doing it the hard way.. Scale the cliff face until we find the track.. For bonus points do it at night and alone.. Bonus for me. TFTC
Wow!! Some view! Thanks for bringing me here. Dropped a trackable, the other one wasn't in here.
Convinced GeoNiece and GeoNephew that we should climb the hill to look for this cache before we started the Spit to Manly walk. I had never had reason to come up here before. Great views, thanks for bringing us here.

Was in the area looking for a different cache (Spit Dragon, http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga6755 ). Cache is in good shape - cachers are playing nicely with it and leaving better swaps than were in there when I last did maintenance!
It has taken me a while but at last I made the trip to the Spit and this was well worth the effort and dodging the many spiders added to the adventure.
Thanks for a reason to visit this great Park.
